Shuta's card[edit]

Could anybody make out the name of this Spell? [1] --178.223.180.166 (talk) 16:20, December 12, 2011 (UTC)

Dunno Japanese, sadly. We're gonna have to wait for someone who does. Lord Grammaticus (talkcontribs) 16:20, December 12, 2011 (UTC)
Here's the Japanese writing - ナイト・ショット. --178.223.180.166 (talk) 16:43, December 12, 2011 (UTC)
Google translate got me (Naito shotto) - NightShot. Still, gonna need someone who knows the language so we can get something more precise and reliable. Lord Grammaticus (talkcontribs) 16:45, December 12, 2011 (UTC)
Generally speaking, whenever you see kana instead of kanji in a card's name, and the kana has a pronunciation that makes sense as a stilted or lispy pronunciation of English text, the English text is a probable candidate for the card's English name - in this case, "Night Shot" is indeed the translation (though not necessarily the name the card will get in the English version). ディノ千?!? · ☎ Dinoguy1000 07:54, December 13, 2011 (UTC)

Number 25's situation.[edit]

okay, there were two situation when Number 25: Fullmetal Photoglide - Focus Force used its effect - the first one would be with Gogogo Golem, and the second would be Overlay Owl. its effects states "When a monster's effect is activated". So, when it attacked Gogogo Golem, it used its effect, and i'm thinking "HOW?!" its effect isn't activated - nothing happens; it just doesn't get destroyed by battle, yet they agree that it does activate. Then, there's Overlay Owl. When its effect detaches an Xyz Material, and Number 25 activates its effect to counter, shouldn't there be a Chain where Number 25 wins. They say, "It's too late; it's already in the Graveyard". 24.83.215.20 (talk) 04:02, December 20, 2011 (UTC)

It's a little thing called anime logic, my friend. The producers will sometimes discard the rules to make an epic Duel. --Taylor Gorrell (talkcontribs) 04:38, December 20, 2011 (UTC)

How did the effect of "Gogogo Golem" not activate? It did activate, since it wouldn't have been destroyed in battle due to it. How is that not an activation? As for the second case, how would it matter? Even if Shuta had activated the effect, the result would have been the same - "Focus Force" would have no more Xyz Materials and "Overlay Owl" would have still be used to Summon to "Utopia" and he would have lost. I thought Number 25 would negate and destroy, not just negate. Ok, just to make sure, can you use something like Evolzar Dolkka on Gogogo Golem? 24.83.215.20 (talk) 09:21, December 20, 2011 (UTC)
No, it only negates the effects. "Gogogo Golem" was destroyed by the attack that continued after the effect was negated. As for "Dolkka", I would say yes at a glance, but I'm not the right person to ask about that.
Given the note that was added to this article, apparently you can't chain to Continuous Effects. I didn't know that. Cheesedude (talkcontribs) 16:32, December 20, 2011 (UTC)
