How does Sylphine become Harpyia?

Read the Featured Duel. Rio used the effect of "Ice Fire World" to treat "Sylphine", which was revived by the effect of "Ocean Ice Fire" (which treats it as a level 5 monster), as 2 Overlay Units. ChaosGallade (talkcontribs) 18:14, February 17, 2013 (UTC)

I'm sorry. I didn't see the Oval Ice Fire part.

What I don't get is why Fanged Shark Emperor's attack increased to 4800... I thought it would only be 2800... (CMA) (129.98.153.125 (talk) 01:32, February 18, 2013 (UTC))

You're reading it backwards. It's Max minus current. Jet-Black Nova (talkcontribs) 01:33, February 18, 2013 (UTC)

Still don' get it... maybe if someone explains step by step to me how its effect works... from what I read its effect seems more like that xyz card alit or whatever his name was, used in both his duels...

Once per turn: You can detach 1 Xyz Material from this card; this card gains ATK equal to the original number of Xyz Materials required to Xyz Summon this card minus the number of Xyz Materials currently attached to this card x 1000.

so its starts of with 4 and 1800 attack. its effect is passive... original mat = 4, current mat = 4 4-4 = 0 0 times 1000 = 0 no stat change

1 unit is detached 4-3 =1 1 times 1000 = 1000.... I don't see how it got 3000 attack...

unless it is simply because I don't understand how cars that count as two materials work....

hmmmm still don't think I figured it out... if anyone could make it clear for me then that would be great...

Kaiser needs 4 Materials, but Shark used 2 monsters, both of them were treated as 2 Materials which equals 4. Kaiser's ORU should be 4, but since the monsters were 2 it just has 2 ORU which is 2 less than the original number. After the effect was used, it had 1. The original ORU, minus the current multiplied by 1000. That is: (4 - 1) x 1000 = 3 x 1000 = 3000. Hope that helps FruityMan99 (talkcontribs) 12:26, February 18, 2013 (UTC)

Thanks for the explanation, it looks like thats an anime only mechanic, so that might be why I was confused....(129.98.153.162 (talk) 18:24, February 18, 2013 (UTC))
