There is an "Expression error: Unexpected < operator" output for Forum:Jinzo deck ?, Forum:The Hero's 'members' link is not working, Forum:Graphperion and Forum:No cards can be DISCARDED. Can someone fix it? -Falzar FZ- (talk page|useful stuff) 22:13, December 28, 2012 (UTC)

I've known about that for a while, but was afraid to look at fixing it, and apparently for good reason: nothing I tried was able to get it working again, so I finally gave up and went the lazy route of just diking the number-of-days bit out when a forum thread is manually archived. ディノ千?!? · ☎ Dinoguy1000 09:31, December 29, 2012 (UTC)
Why not just make it say: This forum thread has not been edited since 14:37, August 21, 2011

Because to be honest, showing anything to do with timeframes when a forum thread has been manually archived makes no sense at all. While most such manual archives are to prevent an old thread from seeing a sudden burst of new activity after an edit (maintenance or otherwise), there are also occasions where a more recently-active thread might be manually archived, and such cases are seldom if ever related to how old the thread is.
You could argue that a distinction in that case is worth making, and to an extent I agree, but then you end up needing a second parameter (or some very hairy logic) and it all ends up just being needless feature creep. ディノ千?!? · ☎ Dinoguy1000 13:12, December 29, 2012 (UTC)
I suppose so, since you can see the timestamp for the last post anyway.
Wouldn't it have been easy to add? move "for" into the brackets, if it refuse to work, instead of showing nothing show "since {{{last edit}}}"

Eh, I'm not that worried about it, to be honest. You can make the edit yourself if you'd like; the code responsible for the archive notice is at {{Forum/header/archived notice}}. ディノ千?!? · ☎ Dinoguy1000 07:54, December 30, 2012 (UTC)
