Was the issue with [[List of Dungeon Dice Monsters|Manga ''Dungeon Dice Monsters'']] that it suggested the list was only monsters or that the name of the game isn't a sufficient name for the monsters themselves? In the case of the first option, I didn't think we'd be using this template for any items. The manga handled them differently than the anime (and video game?), where a die could contain an item, rather than a monster. In the manga (or English manga, at least), they were called "special crests" rather than items. The only one seen is the Warp Crest and the only other one mentioned is the Treasure Crest. A black die contains a monster and one of its inside faces has a special crest on it. -- Deltaneos (talk) 21:16, February 21, 2013 (UTC)

It was more a thing of "this name suggests it's a list of things called 'Dungeon Dice Monsters'". I only have the most passing of familiarity with DDM (and more specifically, of the differences in its various incarnations), so perhaps my opinion of naming should be ignored. That being said, "piece" seemed like the most neutral-sounding term (in terms of the role the specific piece might play in the game) that was still fairly accurate in describing the nature of the summonable/playable components (monsters, etc.) of the game, hence why I went with it instead of "card", "monster", "crest", etc. 「ディノ奴千？！」^{? · ☎ Dinoguy1000} 22:22, February 21, 2013 (UTC)
