Description[edit]
The Vagabond is a Duelist, steeped in legend and shrouded in mystery, who makes rare appearances in the game.
The Vagabond uses decks that were recently used by other players in Ranked Duels, so his deck is likely to be stronger than Standard and Legendary Duelists' decks.
He also gives out more EXP than other Duelists, so be sure to challenge him if you see him in Duel World.

Appearances[edit]
The Vagabond will occasionally show up in Duel World. If the Vagabond is present, he is present in all Duel Worlds at once; after being Dueled, he disappears from all Duel Worlds.
The Vagabond awards more experience than other Duelists. The Vagabond uses decks that were used by players in Ranked Duels, and the experience awarded is determined by the Rank that the Vagabond's deck was used in, with higher ranked decks giving more experience. If the player loses to or draws with the Vagabond, the experience received is halved.
Rank | Exp for win | Exp for loss and draw |
---|---|---|
Rookie | 1400 | 700 |
Bronze | 1500 | 750 |
Silver | 1600 | 800 |
Gold | 1700 | 850 |
Platinum | 1800 | 900 |
Legendary and above | 2000 | 1000 |
After a Duel with The Vagabond (regardless of the result), the Vagabond may ask the player to direct him to one their friends. If the player accepts this offer, they can choose one of their friends from their friends list to send the Vagabond to. The Vagabond will appear in Duel World for that player with the same Deck he used against the sending player.
Decks[edit]
The Vagabond uses random decks played by Duel Links players in Ranked Duels. When the player talks to the Vagabond before the Duel, the game displays the in-game name, country of origin, and rank of the player whose deck he is using, as well as the Deck's name and a key card in that Deck. After the Duel, the player may look through the Vagabond's Deck.
Former mechanics[edit]
Prior to January 27, 2020, the Vagabond would Duel the player with a pre-determined challenge imposed on the Duel, visible to the player before the start of the Duel. The experience awarded depended on the challenge, with challenges considered to be more difficult awarding more experience.
When the player sent the Vagabond to a friend, they were able to choose which challenge to impose on the Duel their friend would have.
