Scissorhand Dragon[edit]
- This card appeared in Kalin Kessler's hand, as it was never played, only part of its artwork and Level are ever revealed.[1]
Ultimate God Ultimaya Tzolkin[edit]
- This card was played by Rex Godwin this card's manga effects were directly described by him, while the card itself has nothing but the ancient text shown in the manga. [2]
Yu-Gi-Oh! ZEXAL[edit]
Second Reflector[edit]
- Yuma used this card in Chapter 012 , explaining that when two monsters with the same ATK attack in the same turn, this card kicks back the second attack.[3]

- Throughout all of its appearances, even when Eve used this card, this card's Pendulum Scale, as well effects remained unknown.[4]

- This card only appeared in hands, and its original lore was obscured, hence it was reconstructed from its TCG/OCG version.[5]
Claw Reacher[edit]
- This card only appeared in hands, and its original lore was obscured, hence it was reconstructed from its TCG/OCG version.[6]
Mystical Beast Serket[edit]
- Throughout all of this card's screentimes, as this card's card form was obscured, the DEF, Level, and some of its effects were not shown, although, TCG/OCG version had the Level and DEF revealed.[7]
Aeris[edit]
- When Noah Kaiba used this card, this card form was too obscured, and its lore reconstructed from its Yu-Gi-Oh! Reshef of Destruction version.[8]
Gravity Axe - Grarl[edit]
- When Rafael first used this card, it only used its ATK boost effect, the rest of its effects are reconstructed from its TCG/OCG version.[9]
Orichalcos Kyutora[edit]
- Dartz used this card and its card form appeared, except it did not have its Monster-Type nor Attribute, in Yu-Gi-Oh! Destiny Board Traveler, it is a LIGHT Rock monster.[10]
Yu-Gi-Oh! GX[edit]
"Alice in Despairland"[edit]
- This card only appears at the end of the episode 79 during the copyright section (after the 'next episode' preview). The scene shows Bastion Misawa in his room resarching information about Alice, and finds the profile of this mysterious card, he is then attacked by the spirit monster of this card. As the scene ended up being removed from the episode 80, aside from it being an Effect Monster nothing is known about it, it did not appear in the actual episode, nor printed in the TCG/OCG. [11]
"Enigma the Creator"[edit]
- The D used this card, as the only time its card form was seen before it was summoned, and because it was obscured by his finger, it was hard to determine the full effect, also, "Enigma Token" did not appear as this card's effect was never used. [12]
"Perfect Counter Code 123"[edit]
- This card is shown in a flashback explained by Chancellor Sheppard when he explains to Jaden Yuki's friends about Jaden's relation to "Yubel". Osamu uses this card during his Duel against Jaden. When Jaden Tribute Summons "Yubel" by Tributing "Oscillo Hero" and "Beaver Warrior", Osamu activates this card to negate the summon of "Yubel" and destroy it, which led to Jaden losing the Duel. This card was obscured by Osamu's fingers, the text was not fully read or explained. [13]
"Spiritual Fusion"[edit]
- Jaden Yuki used this card to fuse himself and Yubel chaining her "Super Polymerization" in order to stop the Fusion Summoning of "Super Fusion God", the card itself had its text covered off-screen, ultimately, its only effect was what Jaden explained.[14]
"Trap Strap"[edit]
- Jesse used this card during his 2 vs 1 Tag versus Yusuke Fujiwara, similar to "Spiritual Fusion", the card itself had its text covered off-screen, ultimately, its only effect was what Jesse explained.[15]
Yu-Gi-Oh! 5D's[edit]
"Montage Dragon"[edit]
- This monster was only initially known as Level 8 EARTH monster, due to its card was hidden in Tetsu Trudge's D-Wheeler's cards holder, as he played the card, it had 3000 ATK, while the original ATK/DEF were reconstructed from Yu-Gi-Oh!.com data, as well as its reconstructed TCG/OCG lore. [16]
Yu-Gi-Oh! ZEXAL[edit]
Gravekeeper's Descendant and Necrovalley[edit]
- These cards were some of Quattro's old Deck cards, as they were not used, and their card forms were too obscured, their lore was reconstructed from their TCG/OCG releases respectively.[17]
Skill Drain[edit]
- Throughout all of its appearances, "Skill Drain" had no clear card form, nor ever used on-screen, its lore was reconstructed from its TCG/OCG release.[18]
Insect Imitation[edit]
- This card existed in Dextra's hand in Episode 038, as it was not clearly seen, nor used by the character in question, its anime lore was constructed based on its TCG/OCG release.[19]
Unifrog[edit]
- the Sultan of Spells uses this card during the Duel Coaster Battle Royal against Shark. "Big Jaws" attacks and destroys this card, eliminating the Sultan of Spells, this card is used as part of the Hyakunin Isshu Field event in the Friendship Games as well. However, as it did not use its effects, and its card form was obscured, its lore was reconstructed from its TCG/OCG release [20]
Fiendish Knight[edit]
- Quattro used this card to finish the duel, as the card itself did not show its card form, nothing known about it except it being Level 4 1800 ATK monster, also it being or not being a "Gimmick Puppet" monster is uncertain as well. [21]
Flaming Hell Blessing[edit]
- When Quattro reveals that as ordered by Vetrix, Quattro Dueled Rio Kastle and played a card Vetrix had given him - "Flaming Hell Blessing". The card set the building on fire, but Quattro claims he had no idea that the card was capable of that, as the card itself did not have its actual effects affect the duel, its card form was obscured by the glow,as well as it was not explained by the chatracter in question, nothing was known about this card's effect. [22]
"V Sylph", "V Undine" and "V Gnome"[edit]
- 5 cards of the "V" cards were given to Yuma Tsukumo by Ray Shadows to support "Number C39: Utopia Ray V". Only "V Salamander" was used, and only "V Salamander" and "V Call" were fully releaved. The rest of the archetype cards, besides from them being Level 4 Spellcasrer monsters with various Attributes and Stats, "V Sylph", "V Undine" and "V Gnome" never appeared in the anime, or had their effects (if any) shown. [23]
Yu-Gi-Oh! ARC-V[edit]
Reverse Reuse[edit]
- This card was Set by Aura Sentia in Episode 023, which will allow her to Special Summon two Flip monsters from her Graveyard to the field in face-up Defense Position. With that, she'll be able to use her "Prediction Princess Petalelf and "Prediction Princess Astromorrigan" combo to end the Duel, eventually ends up not used. Despite it not having a physical showcase, it was printed in the TCG/OCG version.[24]
Doodle Beast - Stego[edit]
- This card was already Summoned off-screen during its only two appearences, apart from it being an Effect EARTH Level 5 monster with 1200 ATK, nothing else is known about it as the card form was not clear.[25][26]
Doodle Beast - Tyranno[edit]
- Before Tribute Summoning this card, Frederick briefly held this card, the text is obscured by his thumb, therefore, the text is not fully deciphered.[27]
Red Mask[edit]
- As Trevor was seen using this card only to attack, the fact that it had effects or not was unknown, also, since it had no card form, nothing is known about the card itself, other than it being a Level 4 Monster with 1600 ATK. [28]
"Glacial Beast Polar Penguin" and "Glacial Beast Blizzard Wolf"[edit]
- Olga used both these cards that were already Summoned off-screen to Synchro Summon "Glacial Beast Iceberg Narwhal". Except "Polar Penguin" is revealed as a Level 3 Tuner, and "Blizzard Wolf" revealed as a Level 4 Effect Monster, neither monsters had their effects, ATK/DEF, Type nor Attribute ever revealed. [29]
"Tsumuji the Earthwind Star", "Arashi the Skywind Star" , "Todoroki the Earthbolt Star" and "Senko the Skybolt Star"[edit]
- These four cards were used by Taka and Nagi bear a similar theme to those used by Iggy Arlo from the same Bandit Warrior Academy school, apart from them being a Warrior-Type monsters with only ATK revealed (except "Tsumuji the Earthwind Star" which has 0 DEF) from 2100 to 2400, nothing known about these cards.[30]
Glacial Beast Iceberg Narwhal[edit]
- The Synchro Monster "Glacial Beast Iceberg Narwhal", only known as a Level 7 Synchro Monster with its effects used.[31]
Slash the Assault Knight[edit]
- Ashley, Bram and Carl played this card as they tried to provoke Shay Obsidian into a duel, as they were "dueling" nothing is known about this card, besides it having an effect that allows it to attack opponent directly and reduce any battle damage to 0, this card did not have a card form, nor a gauge showing its stats. [32]
Earthbound Prisoner Ground Keeper[edit]
- This card was summoned, and used as both Synchro and Fusion Materials due to "Harmonic Synchro Fusion", as the card form itself is blurred, and no effects were ever used, it was hard to tell what this card did.[33]
"Abyss Actors' Costume Chest", "Abyss Costume - Dwarf's Shield" and "Abyss Costume - Hero's Sword"[edit]
- Sylvio Sawatari activated "Dwarf's Shield" and "Hero's Sword" by the effect of "Costume Chest", which neither card had their full effects revealed as either their card form is not shown or too osbcured.[34]
Cipher Clone Magic[edit]
- This card was used by Kite Tenjo in Episode 105, by sending it from his field to the Graveyard alongside "Cipher Mirror Knight" from his hand to activate the effect of "Cipher Mirror Knight, he explains that the card that he sent to the Graveyard was this card (which in the dub, he specifies as a Trap), which allows him to send a Continuous Spell Card from his Deck to the Graveyard and activate its effect.[35]
Steel Cage Match[edit]
- Aster Phoenix activated this card, which is later destroyed by its own effect to prevent Yuya from grabbing an Action Card. [36]
Paper Doll[edit]
- The Spell Card "Paper Doll", which can be treated as a monster while in Yusho Sakaki's hand, other than that, and it being a Normal Spell Card, nothing else is known about this card. [37]
Cipher Etranger[edit]
- Kite uses this card's effect upon discarding to activate the effect of "Little Fairy", the card form was not shown, and he only mentioned that the effect allows him to add 1 "Rank-Up-Magic" Spell Card from the Deck to the hand, the stats, Attribute, and Type were from the TCG/OCG version. [38]
Blackwing - Last Will[edit]
- This card is activated by Crow Hogan whose effect causes the Battle Beast's LP to drop to 100 and Crow's LP to 0,similar to Amnael's Mist Trap ,this card's card form was not shown, therefore, nothing is known about it apart from that effect and obviously it being a Trap Card.[39]
"Benkei Guard" and "Benkei Token"[edit]
- In Episode 120,Battle Beast commands "Gladiator Beast Andabata" to attack Yuya Sakaki directly, before the attack takes place, Gong Strong finds and activates this Action Card, which Special Summons a Level 1 "Benkei Token" (1000/???) and redirects attacks only to the token. The token cannot be destroyed by battle or monster effects.
Neither "Benkei Guard" nor "Benkei Token" appeared in their card forms.[40]
Performapal Flatrat[edit]
- When this card's card form is shown in Yuya's hand, the DEF and rest of the effects were obscured by his thumb, furthermore, it was never Summmoned in Defense Position.[41]
Yu-Gi-Oh! VRAINS[edit]
Digital Bug Websolder[edit]
- This card only made a cameo appearance in one of the duels Naoki Shima showed to Yusaku Fujiki, as it did not have a card form, its lore was reconstructed from its TCG/OCG version.[42]
Sphere Kuriboh[edit]
- This card was used by Playmaker as a decoy to destroy the Security Programs without getting spotted by SOL Technologies during the the mother computer system Infiltration, as it did not have a card form, its lore was reconstructed from its TCG/OCG version.[43]
Sunvine Healer[edit]
- As this card was Special Summoned with the effect of "Sunavalon Dryas" and it was not Link Summoned, and since the card form is mildly obscured, its type is only revealed when used as a Link Material, and the part of its Life Points regain effect was used throughout all of this card's appearances .[44]
Blast Powder Dragon[edit]
- This card was used by Varis once, nothing is known about it, except its full explained effect by Varis himself and having 800 ATK.[45]
Chobham Armor Dragon[edit]
- As this card was used by Varis once, nothing is known about it, except its full explained effect by Varis himself and having 0 ATK. The rest of this card's properties are reconstructed from its TCG/OCG counterpart. [46]
Link Coin[edit]
- In Episode 043 ,Varis activates this card, sending a Link Monster he controls to the GY to excavate cards from his Deck, equal to the Link Rating of the sent monster, add one of them to his hand, then place the rest on the top of his Deck in any order, then the sent monster is Special Summoned during his next turn. During the Standby Phase, the monster sent to the GY to activate this card's effect is Special Summoned in the next episode. this card has not appeared in card form in either of those episodes.[47][48]
Covered Hydradrive[edit]
- This card was used by Bohman once, never having any other property revaled than a 0 ATK, and a constructed effect based on the character's description.[49]
Trickstar Birdhelm[edit]
- When this card was used, the only time its card form was used when it was using its monster effect to equip itself to "Trickstar Divaridis, the card itself was too blurred, thus it was hard to decipher the Monster Type nor the DEF, despite the fact that all "Trickstar" monsters are Fairy monsters.[50]

Metal Baboon, Ruffian of the Forest[edit]
- As Naoki Shima Link Summoned this card, he attacks "Altergeist Silquitous" with it without using or mentioning any of its effects, and it did not have a card form either. [52]
Altergeist Emulatelf[edit]
- This card only appeared in George Gore's vision,seeing that Emma Bessho did not duel for the remainder of the second season since episode 77 and the card looked too obscured, therefore its lore was reconstructed from its TCG/OCG version [53]
Salamangreat Sublimation[edit]
- Soulburner activates this this card, Tributing a "Salamangreat" monster to gain LP equal to its ATK and draw a card.[54]
Cubed Hydradrive Lord[edit]
- As Bohman activated "Property Flood" targeting this card, the only scene where this card has its card form shown, albeit obscured with Link Markers, making the full effects were explained by the said character.[55]
Marincess Wonder Heart[edit]
- The only time this card's card form was shown when Blue Maiden used the Graveyard effect of "Marincess Crown Tail", which had its text obscured with Link Markers, making the full effects were explained by the said character.[56]
Hydradrive Bringer[edit]
- When Bohman Normal Summons this card and activates its effect: when it is Normal Summoned, Bohman can target 1 "Hydradrive" in his GY and add it to his hand. The rest of the Effects are not revealed, also the only property revealed about this card is the ATK being 0.[57]
Hydradrive Agent[edit]
- When Bohman Tribute Summons this card. As it was Tribute Summoned, Bohman activates the effect of "Agent", targeting a "Hydradrive" monster in his GY and Special Summoning it. He Special Summons "Twin Hydradrive Knight". Since the monster that was Special Summoned by the effect of "Agent" was a Link Monster, Bohman draws a card. The rest of the Effects are not revealed, also the only property revealed about this card is the ATK being 0. [58]
Salamangreat Shrine[edit]
- While this card had its card form shown it was either had the text off-screen or the card is obscured due to distance, the effects were described by SoulBurner himself.[59]
Paradox Hydradrive Atlas[edit]
- As Bohman initially Link Summoned this card, it never had its card form revealed, next episode it appeared, the only card form it had had its Attribute changed to WATER instead of its originally listed Attribute as EARTH.[60] [61]
Armatos Legio Eques Flamma[edit]
- Due to Lightning not Link Summoning this card properly and Special Summoned it with "Armatos Fulgur" instead, and due to the shown card form being blurred, only 1 effect was revealed because Lightning described it himself. [62]
