Hello. I am a veteran duelist who is, in a sense, getting back into the kick of things in this game. I have 7 decks; 6 are legal for use in a TCG tournament. I enjoy both the original cartoon (Japanese dubbing and english subbing) and game very much. I hope with this profile that I can get advice from fellow users on how to improve my skills and what to watch out for when I face new styled players.

Decks:[edit]

Undead Mill,

Chained Clown,

Toon World,

Chaotic Alchemy,

Yugi's Strategy Deck,

Occult and Spirit Board Deck,

Torture Trick Deck

As you can see three of the seven are based on characters in the show. In any case this is me and this is how I play, don't like, get bent.

Deck Strategy[edit]

Undead Mill: This deck is self explanatory. Inferno Reckless Summon, Soul-Absorbing Bone Towers and all sorts of ways to special summon. My only few weakness are fast Chaos decks and Jowgen the Spiritualist.

Chained Clown: This is one of my favorite decks. It is a clown control deck I've modified into a lock down deck. The key strategy is when I summon a Dream Clown the effects of Stumbling will take place destroying an opponents monster. Along with the Dream Clown I have loaded the deck with monsters such as Man-Eater Bug, Hane-Hane, Morphing Jar 2, Spear Cretin, and Mysterious Puppeteer. The real strategy takes place when I begin to play the spell cards Chain Energy and Toll. This forces my opponent to think twice about how they play their cards as it will cost them, but it won't cost me as much as I have Mysterious Puppeteer enhancing my life points each time a monster is flip summoned or normal summoned. The final key the whole strategy is the trap Just Desserts which will eat away at my opponents life points and force them into a lock which makes them unable to play magic, traps, monsters, or attack.

Toon World: Basically I'm the Kaiba of toon monsters; boasting powerful attacks and trying to summon the Blue-Eyes Toon Dragon.

Chaotic Alchemy: I was bored one day and said to myself, "Hey... I like the way that new structure deck looks." So what I did was bought the Structure Deck: The Dark Emperor and did some alterations. For a while I wanted to make a deck based on the ideas of alchemy, "Destroy to create something new." There were plenty of monsters that fit the criteria too, even monsters called "Homunculus", but I just couldn't get the strategy to work until the starter deck came out. So I rounded up all my old alchemy cards and combined them with this started deck. It's still under work, but the premise is, "Remove everything from play so the Gren Maju Da Eiza and Golden Homunculus can wipe the field away with amazing attack. Like I said it needs some works since I can't use the Chaos Sorcerer which was a main part of the original deck. To be accurate the original deck also had elements of mill, exploiting the powers of Sasuke Samurai 3 and The Bistro Butcher while having Greed on the field.

The Silent Yugi Deck: Okay this is a deck where I did the best as I could with what I have. I am currently trying to create a deck based on regular Yugi. My problem is that his cards are hard to come across. The strategy is basic and crude but basically to summon one of his LV monsters and go to town on the oppenent.

Occult and Spirit Board Deck: This deck is one of my favorites. First your question must be, "Wil, why make this deck?" Well I'll tell you. This deck is a standard 40 card deck. It mainly revolves around killing my monsters on suicide runs and summoning one of my Dark Necrofears. The Occult strategy is a basic mill strategy which exploits the spell card Gravekeeper's Servant and forces my opponent to want to attack my weak fiend monsters or my face down monsters which can be any mix of weak fiends or Wall of Illusion or the Morphing Jar. I also use The Dark Door to make my opponent continue to attack me in the hopes of destroying all my monsters but only attacking one at a time. When I take the offensive it is usually to keep my opponent at bay. Using monsters like Jowgen the Spiritualist is a perfect way to avoid Judgment Dragon or Synchro Monsters. The "FINAL" Strategy is just for show. I usually use the Spirit Message Cards as throw aways. In actuality I'm working on getting A Cat of Ill Omen, Spell Cancellers, a Spirit Reaper, Maryokutai, two Messenger of Peace, Final Countdown, and another Destiny Board trap card so that I can make the FINAL strategy faster and much more effective.

Torture Trick Deck: This deck was a major work in progress. It took some time until I understood exactly what I wanted from it. I have learned that the best strategy with this deck is try to beat down my opponent, so I am working a new angle. I use Nightmare's Steelcage to help chip some damage away while gaining some forces. I am also employing the use of Ultimate Offering to help get more monsters on the field. If I can swarm my opponent with too many monsters they will have no where to go. The deck is also focused on Dark attribute monsters, so Mystic Plasma Zone is used to give them a bit of a boost. Of course most people use either Dark or Light elements in their decks, so it is also helpful that I use Dark Jeroid to lower some of their attack power. The biggest combo is with Legendary Fiend as this card is easy to summon with Mystic Tomato and will gain attack each turn.

Death Note Deck: I was feeling creative and decided to make a deck that resembled Death Note and how Light Yagami operates. So that is pretty much the entire deck. I made a Destiny Board deck for the Death Note strategy, as the Destiny Board will write out the message, and the opponent loses. I also decided to incorporate the Fiend Roar Deity's because they are considered gods, much like the God's of Death in the cartoon. Night's End Sorcerer is in this deck because he more or less represents light, and he can help me synchro summon some pretty mean monsters. Another interesting addition is Vanity's Fiend as he can help to immobilize my opponents DAD or Synchro monsters. I was mostly going for a reaping set of monsters that cripple many of my opponents moves, and what better way than the two beast trap cards Divine Wrath and Solemn Judgment which also dip into the God complex of this deck.

Duel Spirit[edit]

If I were to have a duel spirit it would most likely be the Blue-Eyes Toon Dragon. That card has never failed me and has given me much support throughout the years. The card has been my pride and joy and is like a secret guardian when I duel. I own only one of the original and I wish to own three. The only other card that has guided me and lead me to victory is the evil and sinister Dark Necrofear.

Dueling[edit]

If you would like to duel me leave a message on my discussion page, or look for me on BYOND games. I play in Duel Monsters Expert and a few of the others. Here is the link to the site and you'll have to download the game: http://www.byond.com/games/DevourerOfSouls/DuelMonstersExpert . In any case take care and happy dueling.
