All About Me[edit]
I live in New York and I have played Yu-Gi-Oh! ever since I was young. I have been off and on with playing due to money being a big issue and I have quit playing twice because of this. However I am back playing at a big loss - all my rares, super rares, and ultra rares gone due to a "friend" selling all our cards. Right now I mainly play on YVD (Yugioh Virtual Dueling) just for fun. My first good deck was a Zombie Swarm/Mill Deck. It consisted of Soul-Absorbing Bone Tower and ways to Special Summon Zombies many times. As of now, I have no deck but create decks for fun.

Spirit Swarm Deck Description |
---|
This Deck is based on keeping your Spirit Monsters on the field past the End Phase of the turn they were summoned to bypass their effect. With Izanagi, you can easily get a 2200 Atk monster on your side of the field by removing one Spirit Monster from your hand. His effect allows your spirits to roam your (or the opponents) side of the field and seeing as they don't return UNLESS you want to return them that turn, you're in control. Susa Soldier helps take out those strong monsters and Yamato-no-Kami is another easy Special Summon seeing as your spirits will end up in the Graveyard and not in your hand from time to time. What may be surprising are the Herald of Orange Light's. They are there to deal with the opponent's Judgment Dragon, Dark Armed Dragon, or other pesky monsters whose effects can be very devastating. Not to mention they are Tuner Monsters, which helps a lot in times of desperate need. Special Summon Izanagi, or Yamato-no-Kami, summon a Herald, and you have got yourself almost any of the level 8 Synchro Monsters. Reason why Dark Dust Spirit is in the deck is simple, he destroys all Face-up monsters when he is summoned or Flipped Face-up. Its an easy summon of one Tribute given the 7+ monsters that can be Special Summoned (including Gorz the Emissary of Darkness who I will explain soon). Why I say +? Lets look at our wonderful Izanami, her great effect allows you to recycle Yamato-no-Kami into your hand when she is summoned or Flipped, giving you more Special Summon power! Now Gorz, why is he there? Simple, you're using spirits and probably, just PROBABLY, might end up with your Field empty (well duh its spirits, theres a big chance; In this deck the odd's are strangely lower however but Gorz has its place in this Deck, no doubt.
Now to talk about why the Spell Cards have their place in the Deck. You see Mirror of Yata and go, "uhh, an Equip Card, what?" But these cards are beneficial to the Spirit Monsters seeing as they let you bypass the End Phase (and their nifty secondary effect is helpful too; allowing you to keep those Spirit Monsters alive on the Field after one unfortunate Battle. Future Visions is one of the Field Spell Cards that work great with Spirit Monsters as well. Once they're Removed from Play, they skip the End Phase of the turn that they were summoned in and they get to stay on the Field, Yay! Creature Swap is one of those Staples for spirits. Not only do you steal the opponents monster at no cost, but your monster returns back to your hand as well! Forbidden Chalice is another card to help bypass the End Phase by negating your Spirit Monster's effect (and its main effect of increasing attack is a plus!). I think saying why Heavy Storm, Brain Control, Mystical Space Typhoon, and Terraforming are in the deck would be simply tedious. Just a few tips on them however: Brain Control, use with Herald or Dark Dust Spirit; M.S.T., use on any Field Card your opponent tries to play when yours is in play, or heck, even use it on your own Field Card if you don't need it.
As for Traps and the Extra Deck... yea, you don't really need much explanations on those. Pretty much, use them when you feel it is the right time to use them. If you happen to have any improvements or questions, go to the discussion page and type something up and I'll respond to you. SPYMOFT 20:35, December 5, 2009 (UTC) |
