Re: Thunder-End[edit]

That's something to consider. My original thought was a Frognarchs deck with 3 Blue-Eyes, 3 White Stones, 2 Gogiga Gagagigo, 3 Summoner's Art and 3 Ancient Rules. Ill definitely try both of them. And maybe a Blue-Eyes Disaster Dragon deck. Lappyzard (talkcontribs) 00:41, August 10, 2011 (UTC)

I do have to use Blue-Eyes, because Thunder-End demands Normal Monsters. Lappyzard (talkcontribs) 17:40, August 10, 2011 (UTC)

Psycho Ancient Wyvern[edit]

I literally lmao at your summary while witnessed you tore at least thousand words out of it. That was quite allot of remove in one official edit. --FredCat 14:09, August 11, 2011 (UTC)

Just thought I mention this[edit]

I poke around decks that interest me alot, just to get ideas. So when I saw the Karakuri Aggro Accel Synchro listing, I naturally took a peek. In the explanation of the deck you published to help this person, you mention that you use Debris Dragon to search for Karakuri Merchant mdl 177 “Inashichi” - but that card isn't listed in your line-up. You may want to take another look-see.

BTW, thanks for all your past help. --Kungfu-mama(talk) 14:12, August 11, 2011 (UTC)

Clarification[edit]

You state in your description of your deck: Mind Control steals monsters for Synchro Materials, Debris Dragon Special Summons the Merchant . But Karakuri Merchant is not listed in the deck you posted.

Psyc[edit]

No Giant Rat?

-Resk () 15:34, August 12, 2011 (UTC)

C&P from my page:

And you forgot "Flying Kamakiri #1", as he can helped summoning Wind-Type Psychic, as of Gusto. --FredCat 15:53, August 12, 2011 (UTC)

I'd say 7/10 for power.. Psychics are pretty weak without Synchro Summoning and the Synchro Monsters are usually nothing special. Overmind Archfiend summons ALL of the monsters it banishes. ESP Amplifier is useless because outside of Lifetrancer, there's no card in Banish-Psychics that permanently banishes a monster. Same with Psychic Feel Zone, Brain Hazard, and Bright Future. Genetic Woman only has 1700 ATK. Mention also that Psychic Snail is not a once per turn effect. Reinforced Human Psychic Borg has 1500 ATK. STorm Caller only gives the user 2300 points of damage. Other support cards: Prime Material Dragon and Rainbow Life. Icarus Attack in Gusto Decks. Half of them are Winged Beasts and they thrive on having monsters in the Graveyard. Typo in the first sentence of the Gig/Destructotron/Snail OTK... you call it "The Master Gig/Destructotron/Psychic Nail OTK" Lappyzard (talkcontribs) 17:40, August 12, 2011 (UTC)

Rat goes in banish-psychics, as it lets them toolbox their toolbox
-Resk () 18:58, August 12, 2011 (UTC)
Yo dawg, I heard you like toolboxing, so I put a Rat in your Psychics so you can toolbox while you toolbox. Lappyzard (talkcontribs) 19:05, August 12, 2011 (UTC)

HERO Beat[edit]

Anything I missed/edits that need to be made? ---Dark Ace SP™ (Talk) 21:43, August 13, 2011 (UTC)

I was thinking that, but if the Eater's are used for Gate, then there are no targets for Debris, but maybe, although I need to take out 1 card, 43 is not a nice number should we add another Debris. ---Dark Ace SP™ (Talk) 22:05, August 13, 2011 (UTC)
Hmm, actually I like the deck the way it is. I've played 4 games, and won 3. The deck's pretty good. ---Dark Ace SP™ (Talk) 23:16, August 13, 2011 (UTC)
Yeah, don't need any more edits, the deck works really well. ---Dark Ace SP™ (Talk) 04:03, August 14, 2011 (UTC)

Re: Dragunity Side Deck[edit]

It's not a bad idea in theory, but you're switching from a good deck that would be hurt by Macro to a bad deck that would be hurt by Macro. If you do plan on trying it, Dodger Dragon would be better. And did you really mean Life Stream Dragon, or something else? Lappyzard (talkcontribs) 17:23, August 14, 2011 (UTC)

Re-Open WDC[edit]

I'll ask the old Admins. about it. I really wanted to try to reopen the WDC a while back, but I didn't know how many people would want to reopen it, plus I never got reply back from DemonGodAsura, so I abandoned my attempts. ---Dark Ace SP™ (Talk) 03:40, August 15, 2011 (UTC)

You already asked. OK, then. ---Dark Ace SP™ (Talk) 03:42, August 15, 2011 (UTC)
Were you going to take the Gadget Burn? I might have an idea for it. ---Dark Ace SP™ (Talk) 16:08, August 15, 2011 (UTC)
Sure. You know I've always liked the Legendary Planets, why not do that? We could even add in The Atmosphere even though its not a planet. Or we could revisit an old competition like Pretty Covers, but use Booster Packs. Oh, and before I forget we could just reopen the WDC without Runerh5's permission, if he doesn't answer soon, but when it does open let's give a invitation to all the best deckbuilder's we know, Lappyzard, Resk, maybe us, or we could just advertise it on the General Forum. ---Dark Ace SP™ (Talk) 02:00, August 16, 2011 (UTC)
That would be nice too.Anyway after we hear from Runer/don't hear. We'll go ahead and redesign the Overview page/add a better Archive list, like the one on DFF. ---Dark Ace SP™ (Talk) 02:07, August 16, 2011 (UTC)
Your gonna have to remake the Disaster Thunder End deck, poster has issues with it. ---Dark Ace SP™ (Talk) 13:58, August 16, 2011 (UTC)

Look this over.

The poster wants a non-competitive version, but the Wanghu were just too good. Anyway look this over to see if I missed something. ---Dark Ace SP™ (Talk) 23:56, August 16, 2011 (UTC)

Read the WDC Overview, I redid it, you can add/change anything you see fit. ---Dark Ace SP™ (Talk) 00:11, August 17, 2011 (UTC)
Don't worry about the build, I already posted it. Anyway looks like Legendary Planets might become our first competition, so did you want to do all, or just the printed ones(including the Sun). ---Dark Ace SP™ (Talk) 13:46, August 17, 2011 (UTC)

So, that would be Splendid Venus, Elemental HERO Terra Firma, The Big Saturn, The Tyrant Neptune, and The Supremacy Sun, and we could start today, I'll post on the General Forum to make sure people know, but how many people per Planet? 1? ---Dark Ace SP™ (Talk) 13:51, August 17, 2011 (UTC)

You make the competition page on WDC and I'll post on General Forum. ---Dark Ace SP™ (Talk) 13:54, August 17, 2011 (UTC)

Never mind, I was thinking of Zombie Master's text wrong. ---Dark Ace SP™ (Talk) 23:06, August 17, 2011 (UTC)
I have nothing, they both seem like they would work, but don't because they have different ways of getting monster to the grave, Zombies use Lightsworns and Scraps use storm. Maybe a few Horn of the Phantom Beast? ---Dark Ace SP™ (Talk) 23:28, August 17, 2011 (UTC)
An afternoon of advertising WDC paid off, we got more contestants, and I also added back the contestants page so I can use it for contact purposes. ---Dark Ace SP™ (Talk) 22:41, August 18, 2011 (UTC)

That also occurred to me, hmm well we already said we'd give them until Wed. , so how about a contest every starting every Thursday/Friday, but ending on Tuesday/Wednesday of the next week, starting week after next week? ---Dark Ace SP™ (Talk) 01:50, August 20, 2011 (UTC)

Semi-Staple[edit]

  • Note that that article is for what cards are SEMI-STAPLES. Not what cards are used for "anti-meta." Skill Drain doesn't even come close to being considered for virtually any deck as an option. Mind Crush has consistently been a popular option as a Side Deck choice, and will likely reclaim that place in the coming format, but for now, I'll accept the removal of it, but understand what you're editing before you jump in blindly.--YamiWheeler (talkcontribs) 14:46, August 20, 2011 (UTC)

Re: Normal Guide[edit]

Thank you, I didn't have a chance to proofread it because it was late and my computer can't handle when I create insanely long forums. I will fix it today. Anyways, Level 3 decks do have some better support than level 4+ (Fitting Room, Attack of the Cornered Rat) and you can also include level 2 or lower monsters and support. Re:Name[edit]

I've never seen that before :3

Basiclly, my 4 online names (Slefe, Resk, Rijj, Terigik) all came from soul calibur II, the character creator in it, i ended up using custom names (ofc), and simply made them by declaring 'constant, vowel, consent' based on what was already there, then editing them after to make it look like a name :3

(Resk is short for Reskefek, which was the original version, but that doesn't fit in a number of games, so was shortened :3)

Second Test Complete![edit]

so i thought about it and i realized that this was a very easy build. I helped my friend build several varients of "Roid" Decks, including a B.E.S.Roid deck. Anyway here is the varient that I picked.

Ok so i decided to take a Jadai approch to the deck making it fusion summon on a consistant basis, using means other than Polymerization to make my machines more powerful. I included Cyber Dragon and his fusions to make for very quick, powerful beatsticks to help even the playing field. I also decided to add in Armoroid because of his effect. With this decks ability to quickly swarm the field, meeting his summoning conditions is no problem and is effect to get rid of your opponents back row makes him invaluable. Dark Gaia Wicked Heroes[edit]

Hi,

I'm quite new to Yugioh, and I was just browsing your decks for Dueling Network use when I came across the Dark Gaia Wicked Heroes. It looked pretty freakin sweet haha XD. So naturally I decided to test it out. And also naturally, I had no idea how to use it and failed miserably. Any help/strategy would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

OTK decks are generally not competitive for long if they ever reach metagame status (as this type of deck never did). Basically, just Fusion Summon Dark Gaia and attack them twice (or for double damage with Megamorph). BF2 Talk Deck Guides 01:04, September 4, 2011 (UTC)

Re: Crush/Shoot[edit]

If any of them ever allow you to know a card in your opponent's hand (e.g. Compulse) then run 1 Dustshoot and 1 Mind Crush in that deck. Otherwise, there isn't one that's better or worse than the others, but definitely run Crush and Shoot together. I guess I'd say put them in Agents because if you miss with Mind Crush you can drop a dead Shine Ball. Lappyzard (talkcontribs) 00:10, September 6, 2011 (UTC)

New Guide Writer[edit]

Battlemaniac has expressed interest in becoming a Guide Writer. Your thoughts on the the matter? (I just wish there was something like the Dark Sun for this..) Lappyzard (talkcontribs) 21:17, September 9, 2011 (UTC)

His WDC decks are a bit iffy, and the decks on his user page don't give much encouragement either. I'm hesitant to say yes. Lappyzard (talkcontribs) 00:02, September 10, 2011 (UTC)

I'd like to see what Gadjiltron thinks, because he's the only other active Guide Writer (not that any of us are actively writing Guides...) but he doesn't seem to be active on the Wikia at all. I suggest we tell Battlemaniac something like: "Thank you for your interest, however, we have concluded that you are not yet suited for the position. Please study up on competitive play, and when we see improvement in your future decks, you may be asked to join." Lappyzard (talkcontribs) 00:40, September 10, 2011 (UTC)

Red Nova Dragunity...[edit]

It's possible, if you playing the cards correct - I run my own version of Dragunity Deck; and successful summon Nova Dragon up to five times since it birth. --FredCat 01:35, September 10, 2011 (UTC)

Just playing it at right time. If I had Red Dragon Archfiend out on the field, and has two Dragon Tuners (one that can summon then redirect other summon from hand) along with Dragunity Militum; I could summon Level 2 Tuner, redirect to summon Militum and attached the little dragon to her. I now using her effect to summon the recently equipped monster. Next with the continuous spell support; I equipped the said dragon you picked to her again, and used that dragon's effect. Viola; Red Nova Dragon on my hand. --FredCat 01:45, September 10, 2011 (UTC)

Nordics[edit]

Yo, just wondering why you're so quick to delete things from the Nordic page. It's very counter productive, seeing as how a lot of people I know who play Nordics are upset with the fact that aside from those two decks listed there are very few options listed there. So may I ask why you feel you need to delete anything that alters the Nordic page from it's current state? It's not helping anyone who plays in the slightest by limiting options. Oh and also in terms of your reasons for getting rid of those cards. Broken Blocker while situational can allow you to summon out two Gods in one turn if it's activated on Tanngnjostr and I've done this multiple times so I can confirm this is a pretty damn solid tactic. Ryko I added as he is just an overall decent add, not only does it add more to dissuade your opponents from attacking you and give you added card destruction for the deck, something which Nordics need desperately but being a level 2 you can tune him with Guldfaxe and Super Nimble Mega Hamster to make yet another Thor, or if you don't have a Hamster out you can still summon Brionac. Plus you can search for him via Hamster as well making him even more effective. Miracle's Wave is sooooo much better than call of the haunted for 2 reasons, one it allows your monster to return 'after' the battle phase (meaning Tanngnjostr is safe from having to battle) in defence position, meaning once again Tanngnjostr can activate his effect straight away and perhaps snag you a God and two because it's closer to Monster Reborn than Call of the Haunted you can instantly revive an opponents monster you just destroyed. Anyway even if you just once again say 'nah' to all this please at least consider helping to alter the page in such a way that other players are not turned off of Nordics by the lack of info available on different ways to play with them.

--The FireFALL (talkcontribs) 21:41, September 14, 2011 (UTC)

Some of the points you made are valid, others are not. Broken Blocker is much too situational a card to be used effectively, I would never recommend it to anyone in anything. Ryko is correct. Miracle's Wake is somewhat viable, but again I would not recommend it at all. For everything except Tanngnjostr Call of the Haunted is better, and if you let your Tanngnjostr get run over you're playing the deck wrong. Lappyzard (talkcontribs) 21:53, September 14, 2011 (UTC)
I still don't think Ryko makes sense for the deck. You only need a few cards in your Graveyard... BF2 Talk Deck Guides 22:14, September 14, 2011 (UTC)

Re:gionals[edit]

link me them all,

-Resk ()() 22:02, September 20, 2011 (UTC)

Definitely not Dragunities unless you can get 2 more Vaj and 1 more Phalanx, and even then probably not. Reasons: 1. Most people know how Dragunities play and are capable of dealing with them. 2. Heavy is at 1 and MST is at 3. You rely heavily on Ravine, so this fact is crippling. I know you run Magic Drains to prevent this, but with people playing less Traps and more Spells they have more cards with which to force their Heavy/MST through.

Karakuris just topped, so it won't be long before people know how to beat them effectively. There is already the threat of Chimeratech because everybody sides Cyber Dragons. However, the deck is still fairly unknown and has a lot of explosive power. This is one of your two choices, and my second recommendation.

Gladiator Beasts is your other choice, and the one I recommend most if and only if 2 conditions are first met: 1. You are an extremely good GB player. 2. Your deck is teched out specifically to beat the current meta (Agents and Tengu Synchro), which it currently isn't. In this case, that probably means running Fissure Glads (hurts a lot of the meta, Plant Synchro has to scoop to it, Hyperion can't blow stuff up) with good cards to deal with Agents and Plants. Thunder King is a great option for this, I'd suggest maining 3 as it hurts every deck out there. If you go the Fissure Glads route, drop the Hero stuff. Talk to me if you decide you want to play GBs and I'll help you get the deck ready.

Absolutely everyone will be prepared for Agents, and if you aren't running them with 3 Tour Guide, Sangan, and BLS, then don't even try. It's not worth it.

In short, I recommend first GBs (talk to me about it though, your build needs work) and second Karakuris. Lappyzard (talkcontribs) 22:27, September 20, 2011 (UTC)

Agents are running Tour Guides because it lets them play BLS. I'll make you a Fissure Glads deck shortly. Lappyzard (talkcontribs) 22:52, September 20, 2011 (UTC)
D.D. Crow has been largely replaced by Effect Veiler, but it's still seeing some play, partially because it's a DARK that goes the Graveyard easily. It's still a completely viable side deck card though. Lappyzard (talkcontribs) 23:36, September 20, 2011 (UTC)
Fissure Glads V.Lappyzard

Monster Cards (13)

Main Deck:

Extra Deck:

Spell Cards (17)

Trap Cards (10)

So yeah, should look something like that. I wish I had a better idea of the meta though. It's still early in the format. Side deck can be whatever you think will be helpful, but it should include 2-3 Light-Imprisoning Mirrors. Lappyzard (talkcontribs) 23:57, September 20, 2011 (UTC)

In a Fissure build, you can probably get away with 1 Essedarii. 2 would be better though. I really doubt you'll ever need more than 2 Gyz and 1 Herk, the extras are mostly there for the "just in case". Lappyzard (talkcontribs) 00:34, September 21, 2011 (UTC)

Also, Bottomless is a really nice side deck card against Agents, just make sure you keep at least 2 Compulse to deal with Gachis. Lappyzard (talkcontribs) 00:35, September 21, 2011 (UTC)

Actually going for Gachi has become pretty standard, as it takes the previously weak Venus and makes it 2000, powers up everything nicely, and it's a huge pain to get rid of. Lappyzard (talkcontribs) 00:50, September 21, 2011 (UTC)

Also, they don't always have a Tuner. Lappyzard (talkcontribs) 00:50, September 21, 2011 (UTC)

I had a look over your dragunity, and noticed 2 things:

  • There isn't a Drago
  • There isn't enough draw power.
how's that look to you?
Another idea is to MAIN deck 2x D.D. Crow/2x Light-Imprisoning Mirror and side them out as you would for Avarice vs GK's
Side:
3 d.d. crow
1 Koa'ki Meiru Drago
2 Twister
2 System Down
3 Light-Imprisoning Mirror
Other stuff you probably won't bother to use <,<
That fesible for you?
-Resk ()() 10:48, September 21, 2011 (UTC)

MV Fissure is an interesting concept, and would be unexpected, but unfortunately doesn't really work. A Dragunity deck has more of a chance than even a dedicated Mist Valley deck, which yours wouldn't be. Lappyzard (talkcontribs) 20:04, September 21, 2011 (UTC)

For the Drags, it's what i find works, but anyway, probably doesn't matter, as based on last 2 big tournaments, everyone is running 3 rai-ohs which hurt it too much :3
-Resk ()() 22:26, September 21, 2011 (UTC)

Recent tourn on shriek, even though it's small, at least 2-3 people would have been agents, 2-3 dark world, and as it's over 18 people, it would have been 4 rounds of swiss with a cut to top 4 :3

Re: Agents and Gladiators[edit]

GBs: It's an interesting tech, but I'd rather just run more defensive cards, as they're much less dead-drawy and are actual one for ones. Agents: If you can pull it off it might be worth a shot, but regular Agents are probably still better even after your opponent side decks. Lappyzard (talkcontribs) 19:17, September 27, 2011 (UTC)

Commonly? No. Effectively? Yes, very, and in twos. Lappyzard (talkcontribs) 20:55, September 27, 2011 (UTC)

Go the bare minimum. 1 or 2 tops if you can manage it. If they chain to Venus, stop there. Gachi is not worth giving them 2 more draws. You can make it later with another Venus because you still have 2 more Shine Balls. At any rate, stop as soon as possible. If you have everything you need to synch, and synching will keep you in the game, do it. If you think summoning will help you deal with the extra cards better than stopping, that's up to you, but I'd advise against it. Lappyzard (talkcontribs) 22:10, September 27, 2011 (UTC)

Re: Agent Guide[edit]

"Suddenly, "The Agents" received three new monsters, including a new boss monster, including a searcher." Reword that, it sounds weird. Gachi is now the preferred play, even if Trishula is an option. Cards from the Sky and Plant Synchro have redlinks. Hyperion's description: "you can one destroy cards". Shine Ball should say it's good for making Gachi instead of being good for Synchro Summons. Jupiter's description: "makes it great-alone". It looks like great-alone is a hyphenated word. You need to separate these ideas more. Same in Mercury's description. Don't list Freed, it consumes a Graveyard that is better off being used for Hyperion. Gachi is listed under Synchro monsters, which it is not. Cards from the Sky is redlinked, and you're making it sound better than it actually is. TBH, it's not a great card for the deck, it should be run at 0-1, 2 tops. Don't list D Fissure, Agents need the Graveyard. Don't list Gold Sarc, it's still bad for the deck. 3 Hyperion is needed in standard, Birdman is not. CFTS is again redlinked. In Sanctuary Agents and Valhalla Rush, Zeradias and CFTS are redlinked. 3 Tour Guide is necessary for Chaos Agents. RFTDD is tech, but not needed. Fissure Agents is probably not even worth listing. It's so far inferior to all the other builds that I wouldn't recommend it to anyone. Lappyzard (talkcontribs) 19:21, September 28, 2011 (UTC)

Where is the T.G. Agents ?_?
-Resk ()() 21:47, September 28, 2011 (UTC)

Whether or not you agree with it, Gachi is now the preferred play. Since the format of set 4 is over, it's much harder to maintain an Earth on the field while you wait to be able to summon Venus and go into Trishula. Even with Birdman, which would you rather have? 2700 Trishula and 1 card out of your opponent's hand, and an inconsequential 1600 Venus, or a 2900 Stardust and a near indestructable 2200 wall that takes those 1600 Venuses and makes them 2000, takes the 1800 Jupiter and makes it 2200 with the ability to go to 3000?

Again with CFTS, whether or not you agree with it, it's not played in successful builds. Pot of Duality is much better. The only thing CFTS is good for is first turn with a dead Shine Ball in hand which you will use anyway if you have Birdman, or dead Kristyas which are pretty rare. Lappyzard (talkcontribs) 22:10, September 28, 2011 (UTC)

T.G. agents is one of the most common competetivie build, winning tournaments, based around pure advantage & swarming .-.

Re: Fissure Glads Update[edit]

No I would not recommend Starlight Road, because it'll just get MST'd or Grapha'd, and then you'll be sad. I would recommend instead a change to Dimensional Prison, which I'm starting to do anyway just for the prominence of Agents. You might consider dropping the Grand Mole, possibly for a third Duality, because once the meta becomes Agents and Dark Worlds, Grand Mole won't be as good. You should still side deck it though, because it's good against a lot of other decks. Lappyzard (talkcontribs) 22:02, September 30, 2011 (UTC)

It's not bad, but the biggest threats of the deck are Hyperion and Kristya, which Grand Mole does nothing against. You can run it as tech if you want, ti's not like it's a bad choice. Lappyzard (talkcontribs) 22:52, September 30, 2011 (UTC)

For the deck guide, present and future DFF requests, and your own personal interests: 3 Genex Neutron is now standard in Karakuri. Lappyzard (talkcontribs) 19:17, October 4, 2011 (UTC)

Most likely it adds consistency, and the +1 is always nice. 2 decks each going through 10 rounds of Swiss with a record of 8-2 or better with 3 of a card pretty much makes it a staple for the deck. Lappyzard (talkcontribs) 22:41, October 4, 2011 (UTC)

Guardians[edit]

Arsenal Summoner is a good/obvious choice for Guardians, but my build uses the grave to get the cards I need for the turn. Plus, Arsenal Summoner doesn't stay long enough on the field to be of any use-Ryko has a much better effect. Elite Wolf (talkcontribs) 23:28, October 4, 2011 (UTC)

Loops Deck Guide[edit]

I've noticed a factual inaccuracy with your Forum:Deck Guide/Decks and Loops. You say that the Future Fusion FTK is 100% successful not counting responses, but this is wrong. Sphinx Deck Guide[edit]

Nice guide, but I feel you've missed out a few crucial cards from the Defensive Rock build. Burden of the Mighty, Half Shut, Battle Mania, Continuous Destruction Punch, and a few monsters, Legendary Jujitsu Master and Golem Sentry more than any others. Personally, I'd quite like to write an overall Rock guide - I think I'd do it quite well - but for now I'm happy to just give my suggestions. Battlemaniac (talkcontribs) 20:48, October 11, 2011 (UTC)

Actually, Half Shut is great. Either you use it on your opponent's monster to inflict more Battle Damage (the whole point of the deck), or you use it on your own monster to protect it from destruction by battle, in which case the ATK halving won't matter, since you'll be in Defense Position. Trust me, I've tried it, and it really does work wonders, and its easily better than Shrink in that deck type. Battlemaniac (talkcontribs) 18:36, October 12, 2011 (UTC)

Oh yeah, and I also forgot to mention Fairy Box as an essential card. Battlemaniac (talkcontribs) 18:38, October 12, 2011 (UTC)

Then you really haven't got the point of the deck. Battlemaniac (talkcontribs) 21:16, October 12, 2011 (UTC)

Alright. Thanks for clearing that up. On a side note, could I do a general Rock deck guide? I definitely have the experience, and almost no-one is making guides any more. Battlemaniac (talkcontribs) 21:27, October 12, 2011 (UTC)

Planning for WDC 23[edit]

So far, so great. I mean we've done like 5 competitions already. So it looks like WDC 23 will be Card Rarity Limitations, how the heck are we gonna do that? Pick 3-5 Boosters, and give set rarity limitations for that specific pack. Like even though Krista is a super rare in tins, it was a Secret Rare in Stardust Overdrive, so people could only use 1 copy of it, saying we pick Stardust Overdrive? ---Dark Ace SP™ (Talk) 23:44, October 15, 2011 (UTC)

P.S. : Thoughts on Forum:Koa'ki Rage V. Ace? ---Dark Ace SP™ (Talk) 02:05, October 16, 2011 (UTC)

I've also been thinking we could do something like a Trick Battle, but use Dark Arena instead.
And as for the Rarity limits, maybe just tell them to use 1 Rarity of their choice? ---Dark Ace SP™ (Talk) 22:09, October 16, 2011 (UTC)
I meant that instead of doing card rarities, we could do something where Dark Arena is always in play, like Speed World in the anime, and no real life field spells could be played at all, and then the contestants would have to build decks around it.
The Rarity thing: I meant we tell the contestants that the deck they build, must contain cards that are all the same rarity.

---Dark Ace SP™ (Talk) 22:15, October 16, 2011 (UTC)

Should we do selected numbers or should we do Random page to buy more time to think of more ideas? ---Dark Ace SP™ (Talk) 02:47, October 22, 2011 (UTC)
Alright. ---Dark Ace SP™ (Talk) 02:53, October 22, 2011 (UTC)

Well, even tough Monarchs are an Archetype, you only have maybe 4-6 Monarchs, in the deck, plus they require a tribute engine of some sort to really be effective. As for Chaos, you only use a max of 4 Chaos monsters, then the rest is made up of Dark/Light Monsters, Twilight will have a note, saying, see Lightsworn. We considered all the Archetype decks to have 8-10 of that Archetype, while anything less went into Theme. ---Dark Ace SP™ (Talk) 15:05, October 22, 2011 (UTC)

Your Request[edit]

I've been a little busy, but this should be up later, before tomorrow. Synchro Maniac10 (talkcontribs) 13:44, October 23, 2011 (UTC)

Here's what I've got.

So, this is basically your typical Macro Monarch. I tested both Bribe and Drain, and they both work fine for stopping MST and Heavy, both of which really hurts this deck. They each have an advantage over the other. I have just been using Bribe recently because I think I like it better in this deck. The extra is staples, and of course Leviair shines. Tour Guide is for searching Eiza out and can be brought back with Leviair. I know the deck has 42 cards, but I haven't really run into consistency issues, and it's been working really well. The main reason is that with 3 DF and 3 Cosmos, it's a bit harder to fit everything in. I hope this works for you! Synchro Maniac10 (talkcontribs) 00:31, October 24, 2011 (UTC)

Re: Updates[edit]

I'll update stuff when I get the time. I agree about the rating system, it's very subjective and I feel like there's no way to do it properly. Like, Exodia is obviously a 10 on draw/search power, but compared to nearly every other deck, Sams are/were also a 10. I feel like the scale just doesn't work. Re: New GBs[edit]

People do seems pretty inactive. I believe Resk's internet is messed up, Ace is busy with school (as am I), SM10 usually only posts sporadically, and I'd say the 5 of us are the only real regulars to the wiki these days.

Tengu: potentially a good idea, but I feel like GBs have a pretty delicate balance that Tengu could upset. Horn: It seems like a good idea, but most of the time you'll want to tag, making the Horn a one time deal, in which case you might as well run some monster removal like Prisons or just run Lances. Samnite: This card has always been decent as tech. Overall conclusion: test it out, but I think you'll be disappointed. Lappyzard (talkcontribs) 23:19, October 27, 2011 (UTC)

Clowns[edit]

I often use a clown deck, so I thought I share some cards I like to use with it.

Level Limit - Area B: Due to how this card works you can use Crass Clowns ability every turn, you can flip it to attack while Area B is on the field and it will flip itself back to defense.

Giant Rat: With Stumbling on the field you can summon Dream Clown/Blade Rabbit to have there effects happen instantly.

Cards that can flip themselves (Swarm of Locusts, Stealth Bird, Medusa Worm, etc.): I often use these to fill in to get myself up to 20 monsters, there effects and such compliment the clowns well I believe.

Horus the Black Flame Dragon LV6: This is the kill card for my deck. When it is summoned it will be able to attack right off the bat (Area B/Stumbling will not effect it). This along with Stealth Bird are my main damage dealers.--76.120.154.54 (talk) 12:20, October 30, 2011 (UTC)

Re: Pulsar[edit]

"Missing the Timing

Please check the section on If & When."

Lightpulsar Dragon is a "When this card is sent from the field to the Graveyard"

Peten the Dark Clown is a "When this card is sent to your Graveyard,"

When Black Rose Dragon uses its effect to destroy all cards on the field "The last thing to happen was not "Peten the Dark Clown Lightpulsar Dragon" being sent to the Graveyard, so it misses the timing."

-Resk ()()

How do you even come up with this stuff?[edit]

No. Just no. Rock Stun is bad. Lappyzard (talkcontribs) 21:50, November 3, 2011 (UTC)

Stun decks need a way to maintain advantage while consuming a huge supply of one for ones. Rock Stun does not plus. Ever. Jujitsu, Grand Mole, and Fossil Dyna are the only ways to potentially plus, and that's rare. So the opponent just burns through your 4 Traps and kills your 2 monsters while still plussing, and then you lose. Lappyzard (talkcontribs) 22:54, November 3, 2011 (UTC)

Occaisionally, that happens, but most often you will either 1. Need to Tribute your monster to negate the Trap activated in response to your attack. or 2. Need to Tribute your monster to stop the Sangan/Dandy/Emmersblade/etc. All decks can plus by destroying in battle. Relying solely on 1900s to do so is just bad. Lappyzard (talkcontribs) 01:56, November 4, 2011 (UTC)

Re: WDC[edit]

Ceruli[edit]

So, I've been using the Ceruli build you gave me, mostly combining Ceruli + Goldd, but how does it work with Grapha? Isn't it just the same as discarding Grapha with Gates? ---Dark Ace SP (Talk) 17:31, November 6, 2011 (UTC)

Also, do you happen to have a Fortune Lady Build around? I recall you making a post on that, if you don't have it, I can just go search the forum. ---Dark Ace SP (Talk) 17:47, November 6, 2011 (UTC)

Re: Karakuri[edit]

I'm aware, I spent a lot of time dealing with him the last time he was here. I thought maybe there was hope when he started posting decks that were 40 cards, but no, he's as stubborn as ever. And he still overuses the word elitist like it's a racial slur. -.- Lappyzard (talkcontribs) 03:36, November 8, 2011 (UTC)

Oh dear, that topic, I still lol'd my ass off at that argument. --FredCat 03:41, November 8, 2011 (UTC)

ZPW[edit]

So I finally got a chance to test the deck for myself, and it's even better than I imagined. It does everything that Plant Synchro does, only better. My only issue with the deck is that Merchant just doesn't seem to do it for me, I would probably try Maxx Cs instead. Lappyzard (talkcontribs) 23:09, November 8, 2011 (UTC)

Actually looking at your build I realize mine is quite a bit different (I built it from memory, my memory is not to be trusted...) Anyways, here's the build I settled on. Merchant isn't working for me because I would often rather use my Normal Summon/Set for something else.

I don't know WHY you aren't using Goblin Zombie, it's absolutely amazing in the deck. Lappyzard (talkcontribs) 23:36, November 8, 2011 (UTC)

Turtle toolboxes everything, usually Goblin Zombie for more toolboxing. I find that I'm making level 6 a lot, and Gaia Knight is a good level 6, and Revived King is really good sometimes. Sangan? No. Dandy? No. Spore/Glow-Up? Sucks to be you. Treeborn Frog? That bitch is never coming back. Besides, I had extra space. Lappyzard (talkcontribs) 23:52, November 8, 2011 (UTC)

I do run the 1 Gorz, and Turtle isn't that necessary if you want to try Faders/Trags, I'm thinking of cutting Turtle to 2 myself. Trag might be better simply because the deck almost always has 4+ cards in hand. As for Suiton, I think it'd be good tech if you were running triple Salvage. Lappyzard (talkcontribs) 19:52, November 10, 2011 (UTC)

Forum:Deck Guide/Blackwing/1[edit]

I don't think you can use Armor Master's effect in the Battle Phase. Its page lists it with an Ignition Effect.
"Dark End Dragon" does not destroy, and it only works once a turn. No big deal.
Down in the Dragon Abuse Deck, you suggest AtW, which can't be used.
Sorry I've been gone...

Dragon HERO[edit]

So that request on DFF, any suggestions for dragons? I don't think a Hopeless build would be good, unless the only 4 HEROes in the deck were Stratos and Neos + 3 Miracle Fusion, but that mix would be odd. A Blizzard Dragon or anything WATER Dragony pops into mind first. Thoughts? ---Dark Ace SP (Talk) 03:37, November 11, 2011 (UTC)

Thoughts? ---Dark Ace SP (Talk) 23:36, November 11, 2011 (UTC)

So, you've kinda become the admin of the Deck Guides. So could I have your permission to edit the guide page? Its really cluttered and messy, plus it needs a little work here and there. I think I have a better idea on how to list the updated guides too. Do I have your permission?

Cool. Sorry I forgot to sign. ---Dark Ace SP (Talk) 20:54, November 13, 2011 (UTC)

Hmm, I got rid of the poll because I thought the original writer had made that one. Plus not all of the guides had one, so.... ---Dark Ace SP (Talk) 21:05, November 13, 2011 (UTC)
Don't worry about it. I'll go fix everything, or at least as much as I can. ---Dark Ace SP (Talk) 21:05, November 13, 2011 (UTC)

To Mind Crush or not to Mind Crush[edit]

Mind Crush is a dark world staple IMHO for a simple reason because of the mass use of Pot of Duality in some decks it can be used in both instances or send a card to the graveyard your opponent just picked with Pot of Duality or abuse it to special summon a hell lot of darkworld monsters using the right loops. Tactics VS Strategy Depreved Warrior (talkcontribs) 17:19, November 15, 2011 (UTC)

plant syncron i don't see very often here, I see more darkworld decks then i would like to see. ;) This is because plant is harder to use and harder to collect then dark world who recently got that spiffy structure deck. I worked around Mind Crush by using Good Goblin Housekeeping instead of Pot of Duality.Depreved Warrior (talkcontribs) 20:07, November 15, 2011 (UTC)
Meta Viability, plant syncro is a expensive deck so outside a regional match or dualing network i won't bet on seeing a complete plant syncro deck, plant variants i do see at local games.(before you start i play at locations accross the region i live)Depreved Warrior (talkcontribs) 20:33, November 15, 2011 (UTC)

Deck Guides[edit]

I left comments on the bottom of Deck Guide Page. Check that, since I want to know what to for the General Guide. ---Dark Ace SP (Talk) 13:59, November 16, 2011 (UTC)

Hey Boba Fett 2,

I was wondering if you could help me with my agent/hyperion deck.

So far, I have 2 archlord kristya, 3 hyperion, 3 agent-venus, 3 mystical shine ball, 3 agent-jupiter, 3 agent-earth, 3 dimensional alchemist, 3 herald of orange light, 3 zeredias-herald, 3 sanct in sky, 1 mirror force, two or three dimensional prisons, 1 monster reborn, 1 heavy storm, 1 dark hole, 3 mystical space typhoon, 3 divine judgement, 3 cards from the sky, etc.

If you can think of anything, or just edit it, that would be great.

thanks.

--4drummer9553 (talkcontribs) 15:57, November 16, 2011 (UTC)4drummer9553

so i understand that i dont need sanctuary in the sky and zeredias, but what about master hyperion and earth? you cannot use hyperion's effect with kristyla on the field. Also, if I do make a kristyla deck, how do I make sure that only 4 fairies are in the graveyard. Could you possibly give me a format. Sorry for asking, but it seems like you are the right one to ask.--4drummer9553 (talkcontribs) 21:16, November 16, 2011 (UTC)4drummer9553

You can get out Hyperion before you Special Summon Kristya. BF2 Talk Deck Guides 21:22, November 16, 2011 (UTC)

WDC 24[edit]

You wanna handle the Zexal Archetypes? ---Dark Ace SP (Talk) 23:07, November 16, 2011 (UTC)

So, you think I'm using the term "Elitist" inappropriately?[edit]

And yet here you are, proving just how appropriate it is by attempting to threaten to ban me from a part of the site that I doubt you have any authorization to do so, just because I used it to describe your insistence that I use a card that by definition is rather elitist. Seriously, how many tournament decks use D.D. Crow or Kycoo, now? Why in the hell should I use them when I have a card that can remove the monsters WITHOUT them ever touching the graveyard? And throwing around numbers in an effort to convince me? That's elitist bean-counting if I ever saw it. I'm sorry, but you ARE an elitist, and so are your suggestions, and I'd kindly ask for you to shut the hell up and stay out of my decks from now on. There was a reason why I got into a tiff with you, before, and I stupidly gave you the benefit of the doubt afterward. I see now I was right to kick you out of my decks. Go to hell and take your ideas with you, if you would be so kind to do so. SynjoDeonecros (talkcontribs) 16:57, November 18, 2011 (UTC)

Apologize? For what? You brought this on yourselves, guys, as I've explained several times, yet you once again refuse to listen, I'm sorry. I'm not apologizing for anything. SynjoDeonecros (talkcontribs) 02:28, November 19, 2011 (UTC)

Probably just a precaution on my part. I did post on D-Neos page, I'll go check it. Anyway, did you ask Resk, he does currently have the DFF Admin rights, so it should be his final call. ---Dark Ace SP (Talk) 01:48, November 19, 2011 (UTC)
Go check talk page under "Possible Rights?".

The thing is as Neos said, banning him may end up causing more problems than solutions. And I don't want to try to do that...just yet. ---Dark Ace SP (Talk) 01:56, November 19, 2011 (UTC)

I've never really paid any attention to that, until now. In fact, I didn't really notice anything. Oh well, who cares? ---Dark Ace SP (Talk) 02:01, November 19, 2011 (UTC)

RE: Rarity on Pack Pages[edit]

Most of the time, I don't see it added. But imo it's somewhat redundant and makes it cluttered so you can't easily see which are the rares. As for the NR and SP, I'm not sure, I never tracked either one. -Falzar FZ- (talk page|useful stuff) 13:27, November 19, 2011 (UTC)

Re: Weird Sabers[edit]

It's a very unusual Deck, by previous standards. I understand most of the choices though. Boggart is just asking for a Maxx C, and Rat is to replace it (helps keep/get a Monster on the field). The My Bodys seems odd to me, as well as the full 3 Creature Swap. I would run 2 at most, but with 9 Monsters that you can trade and plus with, it's understandable. E-Con is basically a Staple this format, and Sabers can support it very well between Fulhelm and Darksoul. Lappyzard (talkcontribs) 20:09, November 22, 2011 (UTC)

Probably not if you have Fusion Gate. BF2 Talk Deck Guides 14:28, November 23, 2011 (UTC)

I also want to keep Parallel World Fusion, I've made a quite a few of these types of decks for DFF, and that card has been useful. I also forgot Maxx "C", dang. Should I just drop the Diviner Play? ---Dark Ace SP (Talk) 14:31, November 23, 2011 (UTC)

Maybe. It will be simpler. BF2 Talk Deck Guides 14:32, November 23, 2011 (UTC)

Copied all pieces of conversation, can't you just reply here? That way I can patch it all together later?

Anyway, yeah, I think simpler is better for this deck. I think I'm 2 cards short, a Solemn Judgment and 2 Rai-Oh or a Judgment and 2 Super Poly, or do you have another idea? ---Dark Ace SP (Talk) 14:39, November 23, 2011 (UTC)

Umm...I was talking about whether I should use Masked HERO Acid or Masked HERO Daian...check Lappy's talk for entire conversation. ---Dark Ace SP (Talk) 02:48, December 9, 2011 (UTC)
I know, but I can't use it in my current build (Don't feel like adding in a couple of Wildheart for just 1 HERO), because I only run 1 EARTH HERO, which is Gaia, but I run quite a few WATER HEROs for Zero and Masked HERO Vapor. ---Dark Ace SP (Talk) 02:52, December 9, 2011 (UTC)
No, I use Miracle Fusion in my HERO deck (Posted on Profile). I'd rather stick with Acid, as it may also reduce ATK, as well as clearing the backrow. ---Dark Ace SP (Talk) 02:58, December 9, 2011 (UTC)

Exodia[edit]

So I basically Use cards to make my opponent draw while I give Silent some counters and draw myself, using Appropriate to draw two cards and chainsaw/ Rai-oh/ Silent Magician lv 8 to keep my opponents down.. This deck can be pretty fluid, but It's very rare because I hardly ever see Appropriate and without it this deck is very, very bad.

Any ideas on how to make it overall better?Skywhale (talkcontribs) 01:44, December 10, 2011 (UTC)

Silent Magician isn't really needed in this deck, but if yuo want to keep it, that's fine. BF2 Talk Deck Guides 01:47, December 10, 2011 (UTC)

Hi,

As you may already know, with the release of Order of Chaos, Inzektor cards are going to be very powerful. I have been trying to create a deck on duelingnetwork, but it seems that their main flaw is that they cant get in the graveyard fast enough and/or you don't get the right ones starting out. If I could get some suggestions that would appreciated. Thanks for your time. --4drummer9553 (talkcontribs) 02:53, December 12, 2011 (UTC)4drummer9553

Hey, Bf2 there is a japanese yugioh site that shows sample decklists for all kinds of deck types, shown [www21.atwiki.jp/ygoocg|here]. However, it doesn't have all the deck types, so could you add more decklists onto the site if possible. If so, just do the deck types shon on the japanese yugioh wiki. Thanks! Hmm, we have like what 5 Admins/Mods that can move duel points? ---Dark Ace SP (Talk) 03:08, December 21, 2011 (UTC)

Its a little problematic when there is no admin, when you need one. ---Dark Ace SP (Talk) 03:08, December 21, 2011 (UTC)

Also, http://whiteknightacademy.forumotion.com/t13-entrance-exam, you need to change the line that says: "If you are within five points of a cutoff, the tester can add or remove up to five points in order to change your result, if they so choose. For example, if the tester feels that your Results were not representative of your actual skill level, they might place you in Gungnir Gray even if you only scored a 55." Also, it never says on that page the applicants are bound to a single deck, did you guys change that? ---Dark Ace SP (Talk) 03:18, December 21, 2011 (UTC)

What You've Missed[edit]

As far as I know, not too much has gone on during your absence, except me building a few decks. xD Actually, there is one thing you might like to know. A few people have set up deck shops on the Academmy, if you'd be interested in doing so as well. By the way, there's a few decks I'd like for you to take a look at. I have one question for you: CF = ? Synchro Maniac10 (talkcontribs) 18:29, January 1, 2012 (UTC)

Oh, I thought you were working on that. Did you give it up? Synchro Maniac10 (talkcontribs) 20:23, January 1, 2012 (UTC)

And about your deck shop, we decided the minimum charge must be 100 DP. Since your supply is unlimited, you can only deduct DP from them and not accept any. That limitation on least amount per deck is so we can actually earn some DP for the non-admins and not have any monopolies. Synchro Maniac10 (talkcontribs) 20:55, January 1, 2012 (UTC)

What he said ^ . ---Dark Ace SP (Talk) 03:02, January 2, 2012 (UTC)

Cheap Fortune Lady[edit]

I'd try something like this.

Fortune's Future is actually pretty situational, and I just realized Falcon is really cool, since if you bounce Visions while an opponent's Monster is banished by it, that Monster won't come back. Crow is mostly for being a cheap-ish good DARK. By the way, you should probably archive your talk page. Lappyzard (talkcontribs) 00:19, January 4, 2012 (UTC)

Hopeless Dragon guide[edit]

Hi, I was randomly brought to your half-finished guide, and while reading it I noticed that in the Dragunity Arma Leyvaten part it says it is more likely to get Banished or destroyed by battle. While the Banished part is true, I just wanted to note that Leyvaten's SSing ability has nothing to do with the loop; the loop is caused by LADD's third effect. The loop is that you SS Leyvaten with LADD's effect after your field is cleared (since LADD is destroyed by Game Mechanics when Leyvaten is destroyed by effect or battle), then re-equip LADD to it. In this way, Leyvaten is effectively immune to destruction, unless he gets Veiler-ed. Besides that, the only ways to cut the loop are to bounce, spin, or Banish one or both of them (Macro...), but if you choose Leyvaten then LADD can still revive a different monster (perhaps even another copy of Leyvaten to continue the loop). Sorry for being long-winded. Ninja13 (talkcontribs) 09:20, January 17, 2012 (UTC)

My Test - Gusto[edit]

Sorry it's been a while, but I finally got back to work on that test. Here's that gusto deck

Most of the deck is self explanatory, the defense wall and the tengu paired with the so many ways to shuffle them back into your deck to keep something on your field at all times, and Reeze and psychic jumper to switch with your opponent. Any questions just ask. Maniac56 (talkcontribs) 03:23, January 18, 2012 (UTC)

Hi Boba! I've been eyeing this Meklord Geartown deck of yours (saw it first here: Forum:Genex Ally Instant. I noticed that you have Chimeratech Fortress Dragon listed in the extra deck - but I don't see any way of summoning it. Am I missing something here?

Thanks for any info. You do awesome work.

Wind-Ups[edit]

Looks good, although I think it's alright to use 3 Knights in certain builds, but ok. xD You should add 2-3 Junk Synchrons to the Hamster build for easy Lv 5 Synchros like Fitzgerald with Kitten and Ryko. You could add RotA to some builds and maybe a Knight in one of them, but otherwise the guide looks solid. Synchro Maniac10 (talkcontribs) 21:30, January 26, 2012 (UTC)

Issues as I find them.

  • In the intro: ""Wind-Up Hunter" could make your opponent discard a card" Hunter sends, not discards, if you say discard people will be thinking they can activate DW effects.
  • 3 Factory works.

And that's really all I can see. Lappyzard (talkcontribs) 22:27, January 26, 2012 (UTC)

Hello BF2,Is there a way for me to join the deck guide? I noticed that you have no Ninja Guide and I managed to build an excellent ninja deck on DN so I'm wishing to Help players who want to build a ninja deck.I have read the general deck guide three times (just telling you because you might think that I don't know anything about card advantage).I sent a massage to Tantara but I didn't get an answer. So Please don't ignore me.--LG (talkcontribs) 10:57, February 2, 2012 (UTC)

RE:can You show me a decklist for ninjas?[edit]

Yes I have one on my User pageif you find some weird stuff its a personal thing to add a litte stun to my deck (to take down my Ultimate enemy archtype:Agent) there are reasons for each card in the decklist. almost every card can be supported. sorry for the late reply --LG (talkcontribs) 14:42, February 2, 2012 (UTC)

Ok I don't really wanna sound like any sort of a sore loser but can you tell me what's wrong with my deck? I defeated almost everybody i duel on DN with it.also How do you rate a new guidemaker? also I made a personal guide please see it and comment about it.It might have some bad ideas but please comment,Find it by clicking "my own guides" in my signature --LG talk My own Guides 17:03, February 2, 2012 (UTC)

Haha i actually knew you would say that but I really need fillers.I'm thinking of replacing justice bringer with another Rai-oh and i put sasuke so i can draw ninjas and activate the ninjitsu arts. also Safe zone is amazing don't get me as a bad builder I actually Have some good combos and this deck has 3 plans:Plan A:Control the field with Super-Transformation,Plan B:Use The Blade Armor Ninja,Plan C:Using Driven Daredevil. also do you actually give second chances for that deck guide thing? sorry for being annoying--LG talk My own Guides 18:01, February 2, 2012 (UTC)

And to respond to your comments well that rust mist, safe zone,TKRO,and dustshoot are awesome.my only problems are that duplication is surprisingly useful allowing me to trade ninjas but i will lower it to 2 also i don't run Dark hole or torrential tribute because I cannot recover from emptying my field as this deck (too bad) has a low swarm rate but i could use Lightning vortex since I can generate good hand advantage. Also fulhelmknight is useful in negating 1 attack (usually a game ending one)and is a tuner for getting Driven Daredevil which is a pretty good monster.I agree with you Sazank is awesome and it has Ninja in its name but hes must attack if able thing is the drawback preventing me from putting 2 so i'll keep a sasuke to break defences. also are there any DARK staples aside from gorz and the 3 hanzo? I want to run the BLS more effectivly,I think i should put a tragoedia. my only problem is im trying to stick to the 40 cards minimum.I know about that lightning vortex and card advantage thing. If i found a way to recover from nuking my monsters i'll get it.Also I personally prefer torrential tribute for 2 things:It's a trap so it can be used to fuel Upstart golden ninja and it works on the opponent's turn when he tries summonig a big monster and i nuke the field also.I don't know if i should get another Dark bribe or not? Thanks for your help.--LG talk My own Guides 18:34, February 2, 2012 (UTC)

Thank you very much for your help but I don't know what to add to protect my plays.probably Judgment is enough. Also Duplication is now at one.I'll add the changes on my user page now.also try taking a look at my guide.--LG talk My own Guides 19:07, February 2, 2012 (UTC)

Judge Title[edit]

I fixed my Profile so it would prevent the further trouble. To be honest, I am not really a Judge from start - I just started it myself, without any test and stuffs. Thank you for point it out. --FredCat 01:59, February 6, 2012 (UTC)

Anti-Meta Help?[edit]

Hey Boba, I'm sorry to bother you. Lappy said that you would be better at helping me with improving my deck, so i was wondering if you could take a look.

I was looking for some feedback on how to improve it. Thank you. Hastydemon2 (talkcontribs) 19:57, February 7, 2012 (UTC)

Thanks for the advice. I have Wisel in there so i can get a monster out if my malefics get destroyed from no field and if my monsters get destroyed in battle. Also his effect to negate a spell helps a lot too. Hastydemon2 (talkcontribs) 21:55, February 7, 2012 (UTC)

hi boba, its LaserGhost here.i've got an idea for the chaos deck type,Wings of Chaos!(or chaos wings as you like it).it merges the blackwings to swarm with synchros and uses some good LIGHT monsters (ryko,veiler,lyla,TKRO,..etc) so sorcerer and BLS can hit the field.I tested that on DN (against frogs.that guy could've milled his entire deck into the grave with swap frog and kept defending with ronintoad thing) won.so can you tell me what do you think about this?--LG talk My own Guides 17:29, February 10, 2012 (UTC)

Here it is.im on a computer that cant open DN so it'll be kinda non-accurate but i'll try (ofcourse no deck is perfect):

Deck

  • BW-bora the spear x2
  • BW-Shura the blue flame
  • BW-Kalut the moon shadow

  • BW-breeze the zephyr
  • Honest
  • Cyber dragon
  • TKRO
  • Ryko
  • Lyla,lightsworn sorceress
  • Chaos sorcerer x3
  • Marshmallon
  • Skelengel
  • Eff veiler

  • foolish burial
  • burial from D.D.
  • Light of redemption

Trap Cards

  • Dark bribe x2
  • trap stun x2
  • Solemn Warning
  • Solemn judgment
  • Dimensional prison x2
  • Mirror force

not very accurate but the best i can remember (can be little different but i belive that this is different) also here ae some notes:I don't use allure cuz i try abusing DARKS to the max. and this deck is swarm based so yeah PoD is not very awesome (atleast i think so).please tell me what do yu think (if it had some flaws well im righting it from the memory).--LG talk My own Guides 17:54, February 10, 2012 (UTC)

Did you see my deck? sorry but im in a kinda hurry so yeah what do you think?sorry for being sorta annoying--LG talk My own Guides 18:46, February 10, 2012 (UTC)

and to answer:i really don't prefer breezebut i need another lvl 3 BW tuner and marshmellon is great to stall until i draw a chaos also there are few chaos monster so im trying to use them.yeah LS and TKRO are awesome.wait...didn't i write torrential tribute? oh well bad memory xD.also i don't use allure cuz i need the DARKS.but i guess that burial from DD will do.but what about the idea itself? is it bad?

well just asking but how will spirit reaper be better then marsh? it can be automaticly destroyed easily so how? and can it be one Reaper and 1 marsh? other than this i agree with you--LG talk My own Guides 19:17, February 10, 2012 (UTC)

oh cool! but i beter side a marsh cuz it wont be a happy ending when i hit a garpha goldd with reapers eff and btw do you know any good lvl 3 BW tuners? thats the only reason i add breeze (on my test i summoned armor master and armed wing on my first turn)--LG talk My own Guides 19:24, February 10, 2012 (UTC)

New idea[edit]

Hi BF2 i came up recently with a new deck idea now available with the new banlist.its basicly a diva zero deck modified to use 2 emergency teleports and instant fusion getting synchros from lvl 5 to 8.i also use euscriado (d-heros,gorz,krebons) and my personal favourite gungir.i use a rabbit with 3 of that kabazules thing that is used in dino rabbits allowing me to use an emergency laggia.please tell me what do you think? It will be kinda hard for me to post a decklist but if really neaded i will.so could that work? Thanks LG talk My own Guides 18:40, February 18, 2012 (UTC)

WDC 27?[edit]

So, somehow we ended up like the WDC of old...kinda dead.

So, to revive, why not ask contestants to make a deck around an Xyz found in Galactic Overlord? Unless you have another idea, since there are over 8 Xyz(s), and we can place a restriction around it, so you can't use another Xyz from the pack? Or ask them to remake old deck types, like ALO or something. Also, what's up with the new banlist? I hear it's not that great, can't blame Konami for not hitting either Wind-Ups or Inzeks, since they just came out. Also, main reason you don't see me around anymore is, 1) I'm buys in life, 2)Waiting for the March 1st List to remake my decks/make new ones, 3)Been playing Pokemon (Sadly). ---Dark Ace SP (Talk) 18:13, February 20, 2012 (UTC)
Older deck ideas it is. I'll make a list and post later. As for the Banlist, any idea where I could see it? T.G. and Agents got hit, but apparently a pretty weak hit. ---Dark Ace SP (Talk) 18:20, February 20, 2012 (UTC)

Personal question: Would you use 2 Torrential or 1 Torrential and 1 Mirror Force in a deck? Saying you had room for only 1 or the other? Only reason I ask is for my HERO deck on my user page, and comments on the Gishki and Laval would be nice. ---Dark Ace SP (Talk) 02:27, March 1, 2012 (UTC)

DFF Deckbuilder Application Section[edit]

Seeing as we seem to be getting more and more requests for Deckbuilders, I think we should create an Application section on the Main DFF page, under our staff section. This section would let users post a quick request for deckbuilder status and let them give us a reason they want to join, then 3 of us would go do the trial. We would of course discuss in "that" place. Thoughts on this idea? ---Dark Ace SP (Talk) 02:45, March 1, 2012 (UTC)

Check this for me. Forum:Decks for Free!/Criteria and Application and Forum:Decks for Free!/Application Turn-In Center. ---Dark Ace SP (Talk) 01:16, March 2, 2012 (UTC)

Should we reopen DFF? We have under 25 requests, and if we open up, I can probably take 1-2 of the ones that are on hold. ---Dark Ace SP (Talk) 00:51, March 3, 2012 (UTC)

Update?[edit]

Think you can update your Karakuri list, and give it to the Karakuri post? Every deck I see uses CyDra, but I'd rather not use that. ---Dark Ace SP (Talk) 01:58, March 5, 2012 (UTC)

Sure, but the Karakuri requester seems to think that the Karakuri OTK deck (I think, this is what you use?), is a one trick pony, and will fail if it doesn't hit the OTK or something, although some I kinda bashed him about that, I think Crimson Joker (I) could have been a little nicer about explaining the diversity of a Karakuri deck. Anyway, I'll edit it, but is it the one on your main profile page? ---Dark Ace SP (Talk) 03:31, March 5, 2012 (UTC)
True. Yeah, I made another account if you hadn't figured it out already, don't ask me why, I just got bored of DASP. ---Dark Ace SP (Talk) 23:36, March 5, 2012 (UTC)

DFF GB deck[edit]

The Extra Deck is fairly standard. 1 of each Omni HERO, 2 Gyzarus, 2 Heraklinos, 2 Essedarii (maybe even 3), and 3 Rank 4 Xyzs of your choice.

There you have it. If you were expecting things like Thunder King Rai-Oh that show up in some tournament GBs, you've come to the wrong place. I find decks run much smoother when every card is dedicated to the same goal (except one-shot OTK cards like Return from the Different Dimension. In this case, that's doing what I've always thought a GB decks best strengths were - getting out Heraklinos and keeping him there, with War Chariot as back-up. Prisma Glads is the way I've gone about doing that. It's fairly standard, but I think I should explain Waboku. I've always thought that card is gold-dust to GBs, and I've always thought it should be run in 3s. Like I said, all towards the same goal (I'd run Ancient Forest and Infected Mail if I had the space, as well as maybe Hedge Guard or even Magic Hole Golem). Battlemaniac (talkcontribs) 19:41, March 5, 2012 (UTC)

After reading your comments on this deck (it wasn’t hard for me to find where you were posting them, but I won’t say how here so that others can’t), I feel I need to justify my choices here. I don’t really expect you to read this, I don’t expect you to respond to this (though I would like it if you did) but this is just something I’ve got to do.

  • First, your comment about no Solemns. Yes, they’re good cards, but I don’t think they’re as necessary as you’re making them out to be. I have War Chariot to protect against Effect Monsters and Waboku to protect against battle, so I see no absolute necessity for them.
  • Triple Proving Ground you had no massive problems with, but I fail to see what’s wrong with triple Darius and, to an extent, Laquari, as you’ve said there is. In your hand, which is where you need at least 1 GB to get the deck started, the GBs are pretty much vanillas. That being the case, does it not stand to reason that I’d run copies of the ones with the most ATK?
  • It’s funny you should mention Lance, because I did consider it. On the other hand, I decided that the fact that Shrink takes of more ATK, combined with the fact that I had MST as anti-spell/trap (though I do realise that another wouldn’t have gone astray) made splitting lance into these 2 cards the way to go.
  • You’re absolutely right about Heavy Storm. It must have just slipped my mind.
  • I’ve never run a deck that needed Dark Hole, Torrential Tribute or Mirror Force, and while I recognise how powerful they are, they aren’t absolutely necessary. With further thought, Hole would have been good to get in a direct attack, while Mirror Force ‘might’ have allowed the same thing to occur, but I was rather pushed for space here.
  • Test Tiger is not a bad card. Without him, making Gyzarus (at least making him as easily as I want to) requires to separate Normal Summons or an awkward Double Tag Team, which is bad.
  • Waboku is also not a bad card. There are very few cards that can protect a GB that effectively and still allow it to tag out.
  • I fail to see how the Fusions are ‘clutter’. I’m running 1 Super Poly and 1 Stratos because of them (I’d have run E-Call over Stratos otherwise), so it really isn’t too much deck space.

Like I said, I would appreciate it if you’d respond to this message, even if I don’t expect you to. See you around. Battlemaniac (talkcontribs) 22:28, March 7, 2012 (UTC)

Another try at GBs[edit]

In summary:

Is that any better at all? I know you aren't going top reconsider, and quite frankly, I don't want you to. But I at least want to make this better. I'll go through my changes, and also why I didn't make some of the changes you suggested.

  • All of the removals were do make space. None of them were essential to the deck, so they went.
  • Dark Hole and Mirror Force, you were right. Both of them not only act as protection, but also as a means to a direct attack and a sure tag the following turn.
  • Storm, MST and Solemn - More protection.
  • Test Tiger - I really don't see what you have against this card. I find it extremely useful in bringing out Gyzarus and Heraklinos.

As for what I didn't change:

  • I see no necessity in Solemn Warning. I've got War Chariots to protect against monster effects and Waboku to protect against battle, so I didn't bother.
  • I don't want to be running Torrential as it does absolutely nothing to protect my own field.
  • Waboku may be inferior to certain Traps, but it's the best form of protection that allows a tag-out on the same turn.
  • Shrink isn't worse than Forbidden Lance. People always say to run Lance as it protects against effects and battle. But not at the same time. If I use it against Mirror Force, or D-Prison, I'll die from the battle. In this deck, I need to be running enough cards that can protect against one or the other, so I'd rather be running MST and Shrink. All I can really see Lance being better against is Torrential, and I'm willing to take my chances there.

As for my final explanation, I'm not trying to run Glads in the conventional sense (ie. a very maniuplatable control and toolbox deck), though I do have some element of that in here. I'm trying to run them in a way that's always worked better for me - quickly comboing Gyzarus into Heraklinos and keeping him there. That comes from my experience, and you didn't specify that I had to do full on control. And running Tiger helps me enormously there, as does running perhaps a little less protection of Glads than most people, since it gives Darius greater potential. To be honest, part of the reason I don't want you to reconsider (and why I won't reapply) is that my strategies tend to be somewhat unorthodox. They aren't bad - a bad strategy wouldn't work at all - but they don't work in the way most people would expect them to. And trying to teach other people those strategies can get complicated.

It would be great to see what you think of my new deck. Battlemaniac (talkcontribs) 20:56, March 8, 2012 (UTC)

St. Joan Deck Ideas?[edit]

Some questions about the DFF contest[edit]

I recently participated in the DFF contest but I failed. While I respect the opinion of you and the others, I have some question concerning the reasons you gave. I hope you will want to answer them. Also, this was the first time I ever have built a hand control deck, so I didn't even know what to do.

Fabled Deck:

Use of Fabled Dyf. It's bad for obvious reasons. Not really worth it, when we have triple Call of the Haunted.

Which is exactly why I only used one, I wanted a lvl 3 non-tuner to use with the lvl 3 tuners for Unicore.

Pegullsus is not a very good card either.

Maybe, I like the card though, but it isn't the best.

Uses Iron Chain Dragon - Orient Dragon is far better.

Lack of the amazing monster known as Scrap Dragon

Triple Unicore is too much, double Catastor is excessive, lack of Mist Wurm is annoying.

These ones could be in one argument as well. To be Honest, I didn't think of Orient Dragon, Mist Wurm and Scrap Dragon, simply because I have neither of those in real life, and thus forget they exist. My bad. BUT the deck is about Fabled Unicore, I didn't really look at other synchro's since it wasn't a synchro build you wanted, but a Unicore control deck. So the other synchro's are just there in case of.....

Legacy of Yata is far better than Jar of Greed although that's a minor issue.

Sorry, but this argument is stupid, they are exactly the same in 99.9% of the duels played. (I haven't run into a single spirit deck in all of my duels)

There's no Solemn Judgment and Warning, as well as no Torrential Tribute - both are very important.

I thought Unicore would take care of negating, so I didn't include the former 2, (might be me not understanding control decks) and I don't see how TT is important for this deck. I might be wrong on this one.

You lack Dark Hole, Mystical Space Typhoon (essential for getting out your monsters), and Pot of Avarice.

I rarely use Dark Hole, not sure why actually, and practically never use MST, since usually, Heavy Storm is all S/T destruction I need. POA didn't seem necessary since I didn't get my monsters in the grave THAT fast, and in some cases I needed them to stay there.

I don't want to sound like a whiner, but some points you made I just disagree on, I would appreciate it if you'd answer this message.

Kind Regards

RE: thanks for taking the time to answer my questions. You are right about that synchro remember part, but I still don't agree with you about the staples and the jar (guess we just differ in opinion here, so lets just drop that part :) ). I didn't know about Fableds also running XYZ's which is why I didn't include them. Tour Guide was indeed an obvious option, but I normally relate it only to XYZ's and didn't realise that while the thing it summons can't be synchroot, itself can, so that was bad on my part.

Lastly, I didn't know that A unicore Control deck still highly focused around other synchro's as well. I thought it was centered around The Fabled Unicore and nothing else (fail of me not being used to control decks). Anyway, I hope we can simply continue to respect each other even though we differ in opinions about some things. kind regards Jens (talkcontribs) 18:18, March 12, 2012 (UTC)

Sphinx Decklist help![edit]

Hi BF2, I'm trying to build a decent sphinx deck at the moment and I was told by Dark Ace you might know a thing or two about them. Basically I've got a deck together and would like your opinion on how to improve upon it whilst keeping it a shpinx-only deck (i.e. has no other archtypes in it).

Basically Andro Shinx, Criosphinx, Guardian Sphinx, Hieracosphinx, Theinen, Sphinx Teleia and Exxod all need to be there, deck limit of 40, no other archtypes (i.e. sphinxsworns etc.) thanks for your help! Valvino (talkcontribs) 11:58, March 13, 2012 (UTC)

Yeah, TBH I figured as much what with one lot being beast and the other being rock, however my aim was to try and combine the defence of the one with attack of the other. The problem is limiting dead draws - and the support, having such a heavy monster ratio means that if I want to keep to the 40 card limit, then I need to sacrifice some of the support. If it's not gonna work don't worry, I'll try something else! Valvino (talkcontribs) 11:39, March 14, 2012 (UTC)
Great, thanks for the heads up, btw with the the changes you've suggested it now loooks more like this...

I've also taken out one Criosphinx to try and compensate for removing the two Gigantes. Hopefully it's shaping up a bit more now... Valvino (talkcontribs) 18:06, March 17, 2012 (UTC)

BF2...[edit]

I wanted to ask, do you think a "Retired" should be placed by Resk's name? ---Dark Ace SP (Talk) 14:21, March 13, 2012 (UTC)

I always knew that Resk is girl after all - ever her avatar in DN hinted that way.
And btw, please dump this article into Archived - it's hell long than Dinoguy's. --FredCat 01:34, March 14, 2012 (UTC)
Can you test User:Adaptdeckplayer? And Fred is right...your talk page is too freaking long. ---Dark Ace SP (Talk) 03:17, March 14, 2012 (UTC)

RE: Siblings[edit]

Not really - I treated Holykhayos as my sister, but not blood-related... In reality; I am only child in a family. --FredCat 11:02, March 14, 2012 (UTC)
