Manga lores[edit]

Y'know, I've always added the manga lores in the TCG style, like Spirit Sword Thanatos's lore, for example, but I was thinking, the lores aren't like that, Thanatos' for example reads "Increases ATK by 300. Destroy a token to gain its ATK.", and Viz does translate them like that, not like the TCG lores. You think it'd be better if I added the lores like that? I think so, mainly because many are not precise, and we end up "inventing" parts of it. LegendaryAsariUgetsu (talkcontribs) 17:38, July 21, 2013 (UTC)

Yeah, that sounds good. You may as well as well make them as literal as possible then. Cheesedude (talkcontribs) 18:45, July 21, 2013 (UTC)

Should we already create a page for Shining Numbers or wait for more members? The Chaos Numbers have quite some members, and its an actual archetype, so I'm not sure if Shining Numbers is already worth of an article. If you don't know 'bout it yet, it's pretty much the manga Chaos Xyz Change, born from the bonds between Yuma, Shark and Kaito. LegendaryAsariUgetsu (talkcontribs) 19:17, July 21, 2013 (UTC)

Not an archetype, no support (if I'm not misinformed). Only one member, so it doesn't qualify as a series. So its a no for now. Cheesedude (talkcontribs) 19:18, July 21, 2013 (UTC)
Yessir. It's a series once 3 members exist, right? LegendaryAsariUgetsu (talkcontribs) 19:25, July 21, 2013 (UTC)
Indeed. Cheesedude (talkcontribs) 19:29, July 21, 2013 (UTC)

I have come to talk to you about your edits to the Gilag, page and I would like to argue that what I have written (and rewritten) about his personality is rather relevant to his character as a whole because it is an in-depth description about how his personality is shown. If you disagree please contact me so we may discuss this further but until this issue is resolved I will leave the page alone Sincerely User:JanSzaryJanSzary (talkcontribs) 21:13, July 21, 2013 (UTC)

First of all, I very much appreciate your coming to talk to me instead of reverting. Thank you. Starting from the beginning, I'm not sure what you mean about it contradicting his status as a Barian warrior. Most of the Barians never showed disgust to human. Only Mizael and Vector. You mentioned his friendship with Alit twice, feel free to put one of those instances back in. The point on Ponta is also valid. Cheesedude (talkcontribs) 21:17, July 21, 2013 (UTC)

Manga vs. Anime[edit]

Do you think it's a relevant thing to, in a character's manga article, make comparisons to its anime counterpart? For example: in the anime, when Kaito dueled Jinlong and he had Galaxy-Eyes taken, he chose not to destroy it, 'cause he would never hurt Galaxy-Eyes; in the manga, when he dueled Hishakaku and had Galaxy-Eyes taken, he did the opposite - used counter tactics to fight it, 'cause he'd rather destroy Galaxy-Eyes over having it against him. You think it's relevant to note things like this? LegendaryAsariUgetsu (talkcontribs) 01:42, July 22, 2013 (UTC)

New Character Templates[edit]

Is work still being done to them because they're missing a few important sections (such as Decks, species etc)? Thanks. TheScarecrow14 (talkcontribs) 13:05, July 22, 2013 (UTC)

EDIT: Nevermind about the Decks haha, I forgot to put the underscore between anime and Deck. TheScarecrow14 (talkcontribs) 13:32, July 22, 2013 (UTC)
Think about when species was used. For the Barians and for characters like Pharaoh that are animals. There's really no need for it, when 80% of characters are human. Cheesedude (talkcontribs) 15:37, July 22, 2013 (UTC)
I was just wondering because it had been left in various templates, so I didn't know whether or not the wiki was keeping it since it was used in the old ones. TheScarecrow14 (talkcontribs) 22:36, July 22, 2013 (UTC)
Other users have been replacing them and weren't aware they were gone, I suppose. Cheesedude (talkcontribs) 22:37, July 22, 2013 (UTC)
Hey, would it be worthwhile to add an "Ace_Monster" slot to the new character templates? Considering it is a big thing within the franchise n'all. TheScarecrow14 (talkcontribs) 13:27, August 8, 2013 (UTC)
It would spiral out of control just like the signature cards page and result in edit wars. So, I'd really rather not do that. Cheesedude (talkcontribs) 17:11, August 8, 2013 (UTC)

Kastle family[edit]

Could you create a page on the Kastle Family? I have shark's locket photo of them together so do you want to do it and may be by the next episode, they might reveal how Shark ended up the way he was and if it was because of the fortune left behind. --David 40 (talkcontribs) 04:42, July 30, 2013 (UTC)david_40

Multiplication signs[edit]

In this edit summary, you mentioned there was a consensus to use the letter x over the multiplication sign ×. Could you link me to the area where this was discussed? I'm interested to see the reasoning behind the decision; if I could see why it was decided to use an inaccurate symbol I could more easily discuss changing the consensus. --SnorlaxMonster 07:30, August 1, 2013 (UTC)

There wasn't an specific discussion about it, but we've always done it this way for the same reason we don't use curly quotations marks. Its simpler this way. Formatting the signs like that also don't display properly on certain browsers. Cheesedude (talkcontribs) 01:21, August 2, 2013 (UTC)

Effects that target monsters and Negate attacks[edit]

I was reading the written anime effect of "Force Resonator". Is the anime effect of "Force Resonator" temporary as it's not written there. Also I can't tell when a card that negates attacks will target the monster that's attacking as I was reading 5d's Episode 131 and "Skiel Guard", but it doesn't explicitly say target since this was before the Problem Solving Text occurred. If it doesn't target then the effect of "Force Resonator" couldn't have stopped it from activating. I need a explanation on this. GX Episode 88[edit]

There was a flashback that showed Chazz abusing his Ojamas which he considers but I don't know whose flashback that was or what it was about. Also I can't find "Armed Dragon LV10" in any known flashbacks. Did it actually appear in a flashback in this episode? Use and to look around for any references. Reply when you can!Cardsknower (talkcontribs) 19:29, August 8, 2013 (UTC)

Not sure what you mean with the first point. As for the second, it would have been in flashbacks to his Duel with Sartorius, though there's a chance it was LV7, not 10. Cheesedude (talkcontribs) 02:50, August 9, 2013 (UTC)
There is a flashback that shows Chazz drawing on the Ojama cards, using them as bait, as well as throwing them around. I can't remember whose flashback that was and why and when it was. As for flashbacks with Sartorius, I only saw the one that showed Sartorius explaining to Chazz that he can help him give him the strength he needs to beat Jaden. The one that showed Chazz's "Armed Dragon" is where I'm stumped. When was the flashback that showed Chazz's Dragon shown. Reply when you can!Cardsknower (talkcontribs) 05:30, August 9, 2013 (UTC)
I don't know anything about that flashback either. As for "Armed Dragon", if you can't find it, remove it. I was not the one who added the Featured cards there. Cheesedude (talkcontribs) 05:47, August 9, 2013 (UTC)

No. 101[edit]

May I suggest that an admin intervene in the discussion about No. 101 ? I get a feeling that this is going to end badly. =_=' HPZ - O.N.E. ~Hanayo Asa~ 10:28, August 10, 2013 (UTC)

Name Idea[edit]

Remember when I suggested giving Yuma's group a name when they boarded the airship? What I just put in "Number Hunters (Group)" or something like that? --Firered16 SA (talkcontribs) 18:27, August 13, 2013 (UTC)

Well, the group aboard the airship didn't really end up being relevant, since it was all split after Sargasso. Cheesedude (talkcontribs) 23:58, August 13, 2013 (UTC)

But what about the members who traveled around the world for the Legendary Numbers, or the guys that help them? --Firered16 SA (talkcontribs) 20:50, August 14, 2013 (UTC)

I don't see why we'd need an article for that. It'd be comparable to making an article that encompasses Yugi, Tea, Tristan and Joey as a group. Cheesedude (talkcontribs) 20:52, August 14, 2013 (UTC)

That's not what I meant. What I'm trying to say is that there should be some kind of group name for Yuma and the other Numbers Hunters in their fight against the Barians. It's different with them compared to Yugi and his friends. --Firered16 SA (talkcontribs) 21:09, August 14, 2013 (UTC)

Why? Did we make a group page for the people that went with Jaden to the spirit world? I just don't see the point. Cheesedude (talkcontribs) 21:12, August 14, 2013 (UTC)

That's because most of the focus was directed towards Jaden. Besides, I just think we should give a name for Yuma, Shark, and Kite to designate them during the "Inter-dimensional War" arc. --Firered16 SA (talkcontribs) 21:25, August 14, 2013 (UTC)

Ok, now you're getting somewhere. In this case, I'd compare it to Yugi, Joey and Kaiba during Waking the Dragons. We probably could use a page for that too. As for what to call either page, I've no idea. Your call. Cheesedude (talkcontribs) 21:31, August 14, 2013 (UTC)

Did you just actually agree to my idea? I'll be honest, I'm a little surprised you're willing to go along with it now.

Back on topic, why not refer to Yuma's team as "Number Hunters (Zexal), and for Yugi "Chosen of the Legendary Dragons"? --Firered16 SA (talkcontribs) 21:42, August 14, 2013 (UTC)

No, I didn't, you must have imagined it. I didn't understand exactly what you meant at first. We got there eventually.
They're not strictly Number Hunters. Shark and Kite are sort of incidental Number Hunters at this point. They have them, but only because they were basically forced into taking them. For Yugi's, I'm pretty sure there was an in-universe name for them that we could use. I just don't remember what the name was, unfortunately. Cheesedude (talkcontribs) 22:25, August 14, 2013 (UTC)
Then we'll just call Yugi's group "Chosen Duelists", since Dark Magician Girl referred to them as such. As for about "Kattobingu". That's all I got. --Firered16 SA (talkcontribs) 22:35, August 14, 2013 (UTC)
Sounds fine for Yugi's. Yuma's not so much. Think on it. I will too. No rush, right? Cheesedude (talkcontribs) 23:21, August 14, 2013 (UTC)
I think I may have a name that could work for Yuma's group. "Members of the Different Dimension Airship". I'll start up a page for both groups soon. --Firered16 SA (talkcontribs) 04:00, August 15, 2013 (UTC)

Okay, I'm gonna get started on the page for Yugi's group, but I'm still racking my brain on what to call Yuma's group? Would Team Zexal do for it?

Quick question about the page. In the notes section, can I say something like "approved by Cheesedude" so it doesn't get taken down right away? --Firered16 SA (talkcontribs) 04:07, August 31, 2013 (UTC)
You mean in the edit summary? Yeah, link to this conversation if you like. Cheesedude (talkcontribs) 04:24, August 31, 2013 (UTC)

Dub name of Alit[edit]

My apoligy on that, I realized my mistake shortly after I reverted him. Shardsilver (talkcontribs) 20:16, August 17, 2013 (UTC)

No problem. Glad you realized on your own though. :) Cheesedude (talkcontribs) 21:16, August 17, 2013 (UTC)

Gallery Issue[edit]

Just to let you know, the gallery link for "Googly-Eyes Drum Dragon" is messed up. I did rename the Gallery page when I moved the card to the TCG name, but something glitched, evidently.--YamiWheeler (talkcontribs) 20:39, August 17, 2013 (UTC)

Same issue with "Starliege Lord Galaxion" too.--YamiWheeler (talkcontribs) 20:40, August 17, 2013 (UTC)
Ok, I think I fixed them. You can either create the page and delete it or move the page back to old name, then back again. Is it fixed for you? Cheesedude (talkcontribs) 21:04, August 17, 2013 (UTC)
Yep, all good. Thanks.--YamiWheeler (talkcontribs) 21:05, August 17, 2013 (UTC)

Fender is Fendel[edit]

Hi. I just wanted to mention that the name of Yuma's first Barian opponent is actually Fendel according to the closed captions. That is Fendel with an "l" as opposed to Fender with an "r".

I haven't a clue as to how to go about fixing it, so I thought I'd let you know so can be aware. Thanks. --J. D. Guy (talkcontribs) 21:38, August 17, 2013 (UTC)J. D. Guy (talkcontribs) 21:46, August 17, 2013 (UTC)

Actually, according to closed captain, it is Fender not Fendel. WinterNightmare (talkcontribs) 21:49, August 17, 2013 (UTC)
Woah! I guess it was Fender then. Still, when I watched it, I could have sworn that the closed caption said "Fendel". Maybe I miss-read what I saw? Having said that, it's nice to know I'm not the only one who use Closed Captions when watching, as that's the best way to get spelling down and not miss anything. Well then, thank you.--J. D. Guy (talkcontribs) 22:29, August 17, 2013 (UTC)
Just wanted to add that I don't think Mizael's name has been revealed like Vector, Dumon, and Alito's has.--J. D. Guy (talkcontribs) 22:32, August 17, 2013 (UTC)
Yes, that is true, Mizael's English dub name hasn't been revealed yet. Despite him actually talking in the beginning, the closed captain didn't show his name. WinterNightmare (talkcontribs) 00:30, August 18, 2013 (UTC)

Speculation. I think. It is obvious I agree[edit]

Doing this and then using that to justify this is misleading, IMO.
I mean he is saying he doesn't have any proof, and then uses his previous edit saying that to justify the latter.
I will accept I am being pedantic given how likely it is - but that's the thing its likely, not a fact... :s I'm not trying to say I ahven't made my fair share of junk edits; but I try to fix things/improve articles not add my own speculation/head-cannon... </rant>
Thought I would leave it with you. Hope you don't mind --slave(command) 09:44, September 3, 2013 (UTC)

Yeah, that's not cool at all. I'll revert and warn him. Granted, it is likely that's when the card appears, but we still can't be sure. Cheesedude (talkcontribs) 14:57, September 3, 2013 (UTC)

So, I noticed you are using the term "Overlay Unit" rather than "Xyz Material" in the anime episodes' articles. Should I do the same with the manga? LegendaryAsariUgetsu (talkcontribs) 19:43, September 8, 2013 (UTC)

Depends on what they actually call it. I'd wager D-Team actually uses "Xyz Material". I don't know about the regular manga. So yeah, use whatever the chapter uses. Cheesedude (talkcontribs) 19:57, September 8, 2013 (UTC)

Number Holders Help?[edit]

Hi, basically over at the Number Holders article a user is trying to place false/unconfirmed information and present it as fact. There have been far to many edits between he and myself regarding the subject and feel that an admin should step in. The that is disputed is as follows;

1. in the Inactive Number Hunters section when stating how many numbers the dueslist own(ed) Nistro's should be listed as one (1) as he owned Number 54, he claims that because he was under Barian influence that it doesnt count, but the fact of the matter is that he owned it.
2. In regards the the Arclight Brothers method of taking Numbers he claims that it is the crests despite it never being shown or stated that is how they do it. I know the Wiki prefers confirmed info to be placed on its articles so it should be left as unknown until it is confirmed.

Th user in question is - Firered16 SA

Thank you for your time on this matter. Photonkrios99 (talkcontribs) 23:18, September 17, 2013 (UTC)

I wouldn't say Nistro had a Number. He used one, just like Shark with Number 30. It still belonged to Alit. IV used his crest to take Kurage's Number. Cheesedude (talkcontribs) 23:30, September 17, 2013 (UTC)

Number Archetype Removal[edit]

HEY Cheesedude, I never said you can remove the Over-Hundred, Legendary, and Fake Numbers from the Number page. Don't do that without consulting with me. The are a sub-archtype, or related I don't Seriously, didn't you read my message?!--im gay (talkcontribs) 03:48, September 24, 2013 (UTC)

Since you merged the Shark and Nasch pages, would it also be a logical choice to merge Rio's and Merag's pages, or should a consensus be reached again? ChaosGallade (talkcontribs) 21:20, September 26, 2013 (UTC)

I'm actually in the process of merging them right now. :) Anything that applies to one does apply to the other. Cheesedude (talkcontribs) 21:22, September 26, 2013 (UTC)

Change main pics in Barian Emperor leaders' pages[edit]

Should we change the main pictures in Reginald's and Rio's pages to their Barian forms? They are their true forms after all, and the other Barians have their true forms as the main pictures?Over-HundredLegendaryChaosShiningNumbers (talkcontribs) 02:12, September 27, 2013 (UTC)

I don't know why the other pages even do that. I'd use the human forms if it was solely up to me. For Nasch and Merag in particular, the human forms SHOULD be the main images. How long were they humans - the whole series until now. Cheesedude (talkcontribs) 03:04, September 27, 2013 (UTC)
Gonna just jump in here, but that is probably because they are considered their true forms. I for one think they should be changed to their Barian form pictures, but I get why we would stick with their human forms. NMBRHNTR64 (talkcontribs) 03:13, September 27, 2013 (UTC)
Sure, but there is no need to plaster spoilers onto the top of the article like that. Also, keep in mind that whenever anyone hears "Vector", they probably do think of his Barian form. When they hear "Shark", they don't think of his Barian form. Ever. Cheesedude (talkcontribs) 03:18, September 27, 2013 (UTC)
Actually, when I hear "Shark" i think of Hammer Shark. LOL. Just a note, but this wiki is RIDDLED with constant spoilers. But hey, I am just making a statement. We are used to seeing Shark as Shark, and not some alien species who kinda look like they are wearing masks all the time. XD NMBRHNTR64 (talkcontribs) 04:33, September 27, 2013 (UTC)
I realize we spoil stuff, yes. But we don't need to got out of our way to do so. We document things, including spoilers. Putting the barian forms in the infobox is the equivalent of waving around a flag that says "stop reading the wiki if you don't like spoilers". Cheesedude (talkcontribs) 04:36, September 27, 2013 (UTC)
I am not saying we should "go out of our way to do so". I am just saying that since those are their true forms, we should use those pictures. Of course, this is probably more like the naming situation that we use the most common name. In this case, more well-known appearance. It just feels a little weird to not change the picture, as he is a Barian, but it also feels a little weird to do so, as he is a main character with a much more common human form. NMBRHNTR64 (talkcontribs) 18:09, September 27, 2013 (UTC)

Bonds beyond time[edit]

I know it was confirmed to take place before crashtown, but would it hurt to add the the fact that it took place ether after 80, 82 or 84? See, Bruno was shown in the movie when Yusei thought of the people in his era, and Bruno (not Antinomy/Dark Glass) didn't show up to Yusei until 80. Zora was shown in the group of people, but her son wasn't. This (for orders sake) would show that the movie took place ether after 80, 82, or 84 but before 85. Shardsilver (talkcontribs) 18:29, October 4, 2013 (UTC)

Fine with me. I don't think the Zora's son bit is needed, but the Bruno thing is a good point. Cheesedude (talkcontribs) 18:30, October 4, 2013 (UTC)

ZEXAL Episode 81[edit]

Hey, mind taking a look at ZEXAL Episode 81? I expanded on it, but I was wondering if you could work out any kinks in it. ChaosGallade (talkcontribs) 21:36, October 9, 2013 (UTC)

I'll take a look then, sure. Cheesedude (talkcontribs) 23:57, October 9, 2013 (UTC)
Fixed it up a bit. You did quite a nice job, there were just a few issues with linking and paragraph spacing (though the latter is really my personal preference rather than "the right way"). Cheesedude (talkcontribs) 00:21, October 10, 2013 (UTC)

Regarding Duel Summaries[edit]

Just wanted to ask if the Duel Summaries that i am writing are ok or not. Even though i learned English as a First Language, i am still not that good when it comes to written stuffs (hence the reason why i copy paste some of the parts from previous episodes Duel Summaries in regards to describing card effects which have been used before). The reason i ask this is so that i can improve more in regards to writing the summaries. As of now, i think my summaries can be said to be of the rough draft quality.--Supratim1986 (talkcontribs) 20:00, October 14, 2013 (UTC)

There's nothing wrong with the summaries you write and I appreciate your doing so. I do usually look them over and fix some things when I get the chance to, but most of it stylistic stuff to conform it to the other pages. The only thing I can say is that sometimes you tend to directly copy a card effect from a card page without rewording it at all. Doing that ends up creating tense issues and such, but its still readable and and certainly much better than nothing being there at all. :) Cheesedude (talkcontribs) 20:01, October 14, 2013 (UTC)

"tilted > white squares in both corners"[edit]

Really? You would rather have an image whose text is difficult to read than one with white triangles in the corners? The current image has black triangles in those same corners due to being tilted (and I could easily recolor them black if you would rather that, but I'm pretty sure the color is irrelevant). The cut-off corners are there in the original image, but rotating it makes the text easier to read, since you don't have to tilt your head and the image will scale larger since the excess space has been removed. Rotated with white corners is far closer to the standard card images than tilted with corners off the edges of the image. --SnorlaxMonster 07:16, October 15, 2013 (UTC)

I don't think the text is difficult to read with it tilted. The amount of cut-off is much more obvious when its rotated and to me it just looks sloppy and unprofessional, much more so than the image being tilted a bit. This is just my opinion though. Cheesedude (talkcontribs) 16:17, October 15, 2013 (UTC)
I think it looks unprofessional to leave it rotated: it looks lazy and there is unnecessary blank space. Having said that, it looks like we have a full image of the card anyway, so this is now a non-issue. --SnorlaxMonster 03:43, October 16, 2013 (UTC)

Reginald "Shark" Kastle's Decklists[edit]

Sorry about that! Thanks for editing it! I did get ahead of myself, especially since he HAS only played one card that has that type of effect. So, thanks again! I will try harder in the future! ( ̄^ ̄)ゞ--Blaster X (talkcontribs) 06:27, October 19, 2013 (UTC)Blaster X

A Summary for Episode 126[edit]

Hey i was wondering can you do a summary for Zexal episode 126 like you did for 124 and 125?

THe LiGhT oF DeStrUCtiOn (talkcontribs) 23:02, October 20, 2013 (UTC)

Yes, I do plan to. I will not be able to get to it until Wednesday at the earliest though. Cheesedude (talkcontribs) 02:59, October 21, 2013 (UTC)
Ok thanks cause i really want to know what they said and the english subs are taking way to long :P THe LiGhT oF DeStrUCtiOn (talkcontribs) 03:03, October 21, 2013 (UTC)
I get my translations from Neo Ark Cradle. There are some for that episode in this topic. Cheesedude (talkcontribs) 03:07, October 21, 2013 (UTC)

Double manga help[edit]

Yo, since it's been a while since last time I bugged you, double doubt this month. xD Regarding 5D's: near the end of the chapter, Rudger says that Yusei has the power to shatter the darkness, Stardust Spark Dragon, and the dragon appears behind Yusei (not the card). Does that count as a "featured card" or not? Regarding ZEXAL: as you can see in the article, the duel begins as "Kaito vs. Yagumo", but then "Yagumo" is revealed to be "Haruto". Did I deal well with it in the article or should I have worded it differently? LegendaryAsariUgetsu (talkcontribs) 23:59, October 21, 2013 (UTC)

It can be listed in the featured card section, but make clear that it wasn't the card itself. Put "(spirit)" or something behind it. The ZEXAL chapter looks fine to me. Cheesedude (talkcontribs) 00:15, October 22, 2013 (UTC)
Roger. By the way, I wanna create the article for the unnamed Duel Priestess who's Aki's past life. How can I call her article? "Dark-haired Duel Priestess"? LegendaryAsariUgetsu (talkcontribs) 15:15, October 22, 2013 (UTC)
That would work. Was she the only other Duel Priestess shown? If so, something like "Akiza's predecessor" would also work. Cheesedude (talkcontribs) 20:43, October 22, 2013 (UTC)
No, besides her and Aki there was Ix Quic Goodwin as well. But she was the last Duel Priestess before Aki, so the "predecessor" think would work as well. LegendaryAsariUgetsu (talkcontribs) 20:52, October 22, 2013 (UTC)

removed kite tenjo pictures?[edit]

hi i need to ask of the admins and your one i added a few pictures of kite tenjo but someone removed i look at the recent wiki activity the last person to edit kite tenjo was rexgoodwin an user did he remove my pictures or did one of you admins im just confuse here i added pictures to kite's summary barian outslaught and when i log back in someone removed the pictues one picture i seen is in mr.heartland would you please and thank you find out (ZombieLionel (talkcontribs) 11:10, October 25, 2013 (UTC))

They were removed because there wasn't enough text to warrant that many images. It pushed other images down into sections that they didn't belong in. There would probably be some room for those images on the corresponding episode pages though. We can't just add every single image we have for every character, sorry. Cheesedude (talkcontribs) 15:37, October 25, 2013 (UTC)

I should've asked this a long time ago, but, what tips are there for writing episode plots? Energy X 11:57, October 29, 2013 (UTC)

I usually use the scripts that are posted on NAC as my base. From there, I watch the episodes again with the script open in another tab so I can match the dialogue to what's going on. That's how I've done all my ZEXAL summaries. It usually takes a few hours for one episode, so it is pretty time-intensive to do the whole thing.
There is nothing wrong with writing shorter summaries either though that just go over the main points. That's still better than no summary at all.
Anything specific you'd like tips on? Cheesedude (talkcontribs) 16:47, October 29, 2013 (UTC)
I was thinking of tips for making any episode plot for any anime, whether to list detailes, errors, images etc. Energy X 20:16, October 29, 2013 (UTC)
Details are good, but you don't want to go overboard either. Something I generally do is describe the Summoning sequences for monsters, but only if its in the first episode that the monster was Summoned in. I don't describe Utopia's unsealing every single time.
I generally don't deal with the error sections too much, other users tend to put those up. And they're fine. If you find errors, do feel free to add them.
As for images, I usually try to use one image per paragraph (sometimes two if there's a scene I really want to call attention too). Something obvious that can be missed is that you want to make sure all participants in a Duel are shown in the article somewhere. Important monsters too, of course. Cheesedude (talkcontribs) 01:41, October 30, 2013 (UTC)

Yo, Ancient Fairy Dragon (manga) was renamed in volume 5 to "Ancient Pixie Dragon", but it has been protected, so could you move it please? LegendaryAsariUgetsu (talkcontribs) 00:37, November 3, 2013 (UTC)

Done. Thanks for letting me know (on another note, thank god they finally renamed that). Cheesedude (talkcontribs) 01:02, November 3, 2013 (UTC)
Yeah. *__* Also, "Ancient Pixie Dragon" sounds way better than a possible "Ancient, the Fairy Dragon" and variations, in my opinion. Probably gonna be the official TCG name. LegendaryAsariUgetsu (talkcontribs) 02:09, November 3, 2013 (UTC)

Damn Viz strikes again[edit]

Alright, I don't know hot to handle Viz's incompetence anymore. In every new released volume the cards are renamed, and sometimes they have 2 names inside one single volume. What should I do? Use the last name and add all others as "manga_name(2, 3, 4...)"? It's such a pain to have to rename everything all the time. *__* LegendaryAsariUgetsu (talkcontribs) 21:29, November 4, 2013 (UTC)

I'm going to talk this over with some of the other admins. I'll let you know. Cheesedude (talkcontribs) 03:22, November 5, 2013 (UTC)
With VIZ being so inconsistent, we've (Dinoguy, UltimateKuriboh and myself) decided to just let you pick the name you like the best. If they're renaming it multiple times, decide which is the most appropriate English name, regardless of when it was printed. Only apply this to the manga cards. For other stuff "most recent name" should still apply. In this case, following the "most recent name" policy is actual detrimental, so we're going to ignore it. Cheesedude (talkcontribs) 17:18, November 5, 2013 (UTC)
For now, this should only apply to the 5D's manga, which seems to be the most inconsistent. --UltimateKuriboh (talkcontribs) 17:41, November 5, 2013 (UTC)
Gotcha. Although, the GX manga was pretty inconsistent too (but it's already over, so case closed). So, after I pick the name I'll use as the "actual name", do I add the other names (the alternative ones) as "manga_name"/"manga_name2"/etc.? Also, which other stuff do you mean, to which the "most recent name" policy still apply? TCG/OCG and anime? LegendaryAsariUgetsu (talkcontribs) 17:57, November 5, 2013 (UTC)
Right, just add the others that way. And yeah, I meant TCG/OCG and anime. Cheesedude (talkcontribs) 17:59, November 5, 2013 (UTC)
By the way, I chose "Machine Dragon Power Tool" over "Power Tool Mecha Dragon" to match the other Duel Dragon's names, but it already exists as a redirect, and another user doesn't let me move it. Any help here? :P LegendaryAsariUgetsu (talkcontribs) 18:15, November 5, 2013 (UTC)
Yeah, I'll move it. If the redirect exists, it has to be deleted first. Cheesedude (talkcontribs) 18:20, November 5, 2013 (UTC)
Actually, in this case, we should leave it. "Power Tool Mecha Dragon" was also the Org name, so its fine as-is. Cheesedude (talkcontribs) 18:20, November 5, 2013 (UTC)

Re: Misael's hand[edit]

Hey, yeah I just rewatched it and it does appear to be Heliosphere. My mistake. Sorry about that x.x. TheScarecrow14 (talkcontribs) 01:11, November 5, 2013 (UTC)

Diamond Head Dragon[edit]

When Crowler was explaining about Belowski's thing when he was a top duelist. One of the cards that Belowski was shown to have appeared to be "Diamond Head Dragon" (there are forms of resemblance if you watch the episode), however the Belowski page stated that it was not "Diamond Head Dragon". Is there any reason for this?Cardsknower (talkcontribs) 17:42, November 5, 2013 (UTC)

I have no idea. Go ahead and add it. Cheesedude (talkcontribs) 17:51, November 5, 2013 (UTC)

Duel Dragon's names[edit]

After what you told me about Power Tool's manga name, yeah, I noticed the English nomenclature differs from the Japanese one. In Japanese, the Duel Dragons are all "(adjective 1) (adjective 2) Dragon - (name)"; but so far, all official English names are like this: "(name) (adjective) Dragon". Like, Stardust Spark Dragon, Ancient Pixie Dragon (reminder: "Ancient" is a name in the manga, not an adjective), Power Tool Mecha Dragon. Should we start naming all Duel Dragons like this, the way you do with the Organization names, or just use whatever Viz uses until they are released in the TCG? LegendaryAsariUgetsu (talkcontribs) 15:52, November 6, 2013 (UTC)

If there is a manga name, it takes precedence over the Org name. Power Tool was the exception because the Org used the manga name. Just pick the names from the manga that are most accurate. :) Cheesedude (talkcontribs) 16:46, November 6, 2013 (UTC)

Question about Yugioh Zexal episodes 131 and 132[edit]

Last week the episodes were about Mizael and Kaito's showdown, Now this week its been changed to Vector vs Durbe and Merag

which one is right?? (THe LiGhT oF DeStrUCtiOn (talkcontribs) 02:59, November 9, 2013 (UTC))

The previews were actually changed on the official site. We're assuming the "new" ones are correct. Cheesedude (talkcontribs) 03:00, November 9, 2013 (UTC)

Ok thanks cause i keep a list at home of the episodes and fill them in when theres a new one :P Also the Yugioh Zexal Sound Duel 4 comes out Wednesday (THe LiGhT oF DeStrUCtiOn (talkcontribs) 03:10, November 9, 2013 (UTC))

Might I mention that it seems to be the case where false previews are released (usually being WAY too convenient) and then the second time, it's the real ones. Sanokal K-T (talkcontribs) 03:12, November 9, 2013 (UTC)

Its happened before, yes. What hasn't ever happened before is our having the official website itself putting up "fake" previews. Cheesedude (talkcontribs) 03:13, November 9, 2013 (UTC)
Meh unless the website was hacked they weren't fake: they were either put up by accident - an error, or they have been changed - retconed. Might not be canon but they ain't fake. As such I have left them in a notes section for documentation... But what I cam here for is that can we please either return The Closed Eight or delete Alco - as far as I'm concerned The Closed Eight has as much of a right to exist as Cosmic Blazar Dragon - although I doubt others will go along with that as the latter was talked of in-show... although The Closed Eight was mentioned by official means as well... --slave(commandworks) 03:43, November 9, 2013 (UTC)
Right, there's also speculation those were actually previews for future episodes that were numbered wrong. I'd prefer to undelete "The Closed Eight" and add a note about it somewhere. Let me look into it. Cheesedude (talkcontribs) 03:46, November 9, 2013 (UTC)
Ugh, yeah, maybe we should have kept TCE. I added it as a deletion candidate because…well you can kinda see why, but I sorta jumped the gun on that though. But remember what the previews for old episodes were, where they mentioned a guy named Proto who summons Shining Xyz monsters? Yeah, pretty sure that won't happen, or at least not anytime soon. But, you can see my point that the previews have changed VERY drastically before. NMBRHNTR64 (talkcontribs) 05:15, November 9, 2013 (UTC)
Those previews came from the usual source - who isn't always right, since its his source that has to be right. These came from NAS' website, so Proto and Alco aren't really comparable here. Anyway, I've restored TCE for now. Cheesedude (talkcontribs) 05:18, November 9, 2013 (UTC)
Meh, I see your point. Guess we will just wait and see for ourselves. NMBRHNTR64 (talkcontribs) 05:20, November 9, 2013 (UTC)
Yeah the only reason I ahve this stance compared to any other occasion is because it was from NAS... anyhow thanks guys =) --slave(commandworks) 07:50, November 9, 2013 (UTC)
Ok, what about it being candidate for deletion? Should we keep it or should I get rid of it? NMBRHNTR64 (talkcontribs) 20:38, November 9, 2013 (UTC)
I'd prefer to keep both articles, at least until the next episode airs. There's a possibility Alco will still be around, he just won't encounter Kite. Assuming that doesn't happen, I'd like to add a note to both articles that just says "this came from an official source but was redacted" or something. We should still document them in some way. Cheesedude (talkcontribs) 20:44, November 9, 2013 (UTC)
LOLZ, you misunderstood. I get keeping the article, what about it being a candidate? NMBRHNTR64 (talkcontribs) 21:01, November 9, 2013 (UTC)
If we're going to keep the article, why would we keep the deletion tag on it? Cheesedude (talkcontribs) 21:15, November 9, 2013 (UTC)
Didn't think "this article is a candidate for deletion" meant "this article will definitely be deleted", but ok. NMBRHNTR64 (talkcontribs) 21:20, November 9, 2013 (UTC)

So, if the previous episode summaries are kept under trivia, why hasn't this done before? I remember there were some episodes that were under the same "position" (like 121, 122, 123 etc.). Energy X 23:35, November 10, 2013 (UTC)

Probably because people haven't done it before and as the edit history wasn't restored upon them being recreated I haven't done it - although in the cases you mentioned I thought those previews were fake ? - or at least not from an official source (so IMO they shouldn't have been their in the first place...) --slave(commandworks) 23:38, November 10, 2013 (UTC)

Whats going on with the wiki??[edit]

how come it looks like a normal wiki layout? also sound duel 4 of zexal is out now with a track list (THe LiGhT oF DeStrUCtiOn (talkcontribs) 20:49, November 14, 2013 (UTC))

When will there be a summary for episode 129 and 106. I know it takes time but can you add them before episode 130 comes out?Dragonemperor135 (talkcontribs) 02:18, November 15, 2013 (UTC)

I will try to do 129's summary tomorrow (depends on my day goes). I have no plans to do 106's though. Cheesedude (talkcontribs) 02:20, November 15, 2013 (UTC)
Yeah, I'm not going to be able to do 129's summary today. However, I have enough time off next week that I should be able to have both 129 and 130 done by the end of Thursday. Most of the time this week that I'd be using for summaries was taken by the LVAL spoilers, sorry. And today, I just won't have the inclination. Cheesedude (talkcontribs) 18:23, November 15, 2013 (UTC)
Well, 129 is done. I still have no script or sub to work off of for 130 though. Once there is one, I will get around to the summary when I can. Cheesedude (talkcontribs) 02:35, November 22, 2013 (UTC)

Thank you very much! :D Just glad to be of help :) --slave(commandworks) 21:54, November 16, 2013 (UTC)

Counter Spice Cumin[edit]

It is stated that Sartyr has two "Counter Spice Cumin" cards, but I only saw one (the one he activated). When was the other copy seen in the episode?Cardsknower (talkcontribs) 15:58, November 17, 2013 (UTC)

I have no idea. I'm not seeing any evidence of him having two myself. Think its safe to remove. Cheesedude (talkcontribs) 21:30, November 17, 2013 (UTC)

Number 10X[edit]

Should all the Number 10X be put under Fake Number because they were created by Don Thousand except for Number 107 as it is in the Legend of the Dragons of Light and Time which means it kind of has to be real.Dragonemperor135 (talkcontribs) 21:34, November 17, 2013 (UTC)

No. They're not fake, they're unconnected to the rest of the Numbers. Tachyon is connected and the others may yet end up being connected too. Too soon to tell. Cheesedude (talkcontribs) 21:37, November 17, 2013 (UTC)

Regarding a new Archetype[edit]

Do you think a new archetype page named Blizzard, should be created now that we have 2 Effect Monsters and 2 Spell Cards named using that word and all of them have been used by a single person in the anime.--Supratim1986 (talkcontribs) 18:07, November 24, 2013 (UTC)

Mode vs Position[edit]

User:Philiosophical-Psychological Informist Togekiss and I are having a dispute with mode and position on the pages. Which one is better for card appearances pages? I prefer position because that's how this wiki has been referring to it for a majority of pages which includes many anime episodes. Also his edits are helpful, but a couple of them undo most of the hard work I placed into the pages (which I find a bit troublesome). Could you help convince this guy not to modify too much of the card appearances pages as its hard for me to fix them up.Cardsknower (talkcontribs) 11:49, November 25, 2013 (UTC)

I honestly don't think it matters. Talking to some of the other admins about this though. I'll let you know. Cheesedude (talkcontribs) 18:53, November 25, 2013 (UTC)

Question About Wikia Infomation[edit]

Hey dude, I see you changed my edit on the Druid page back. I didn't know that the site's bias was that it took anime text for granted for such things. Is there there anywhere I can find infomation like that? I would like to know, should I made such a mistake again. Zaziuma (talkcontribs) 20:48, November 29, 2013 (UTC)

The archetype page itself should explain it enough. If it doesn't, then let me know and I'll be sure to do so more fully there. But yes, the anime and manga counts. Also, see the navbox at the bottom of Druid? All archetype pages have that. Look in the support section. That will link you to any support a given archetype has. If you click on the link for "Dru", you can see its animelore parameter, which makes its support or "Druid" clear. Cheesedude (talkcontribs) 20:49, November 29, 2013 (UTC)
I think you misunderstood me, I am asking for what the site says is what is an isn't right. I would personally not say that Archetypes for the anime should count as an Archetype, as it does not appear in the TCG or OCG as one. In case there are anything else like that, I would like to know if there was a page that talked about that, or what biases the site has for such things. If there even is anything like that, and this is just one instance where such a thing is present. In that case, just forget about it. Zaziuma (talkcontribs) 20:59, November 29, 2013 (UTC)
This wiki is a wiki for all aspects of the YGO franchise. So the anime and manga count. There never was a discussion about that particular rule, but its been taken as a given by the community. We document everything. Admittedly, a list of archetypes that excludes anime/manga cards is probably something many players would find useful, but there's no real way to that here right now beyond using categories. Cheesedude (talkcontribs) 21:05, November 29, 2013 (UTC)
Alright, I guess that will do. Thanks for you time. Zaziuma (talkcontribs) 21:14, November 29, 2013 (UTC)
Sure. Feel free to let me know if you have any more questions. Cheesedude (talkcontribs) 21:21, November 29, 2013 (UTC)

OK, let me get some things straight.[edit]

Nasch and Merag's souls being "transfered" into the dead bodies of Reginald and Rio Kastle is a grave misunderstanding within the concepts of life and death. It makes it sounds like a morbid way of resurrection, like the Dark Signers from 5D's, when rather they are given new life by the very spirits of the Barians, hence reincarnation is a more appropriate term for their revival, since Reginald Kastle could still recall his childhood but not his past life's memories until later that season. There are also characters in the Yugioh franchise that where also reincarnated in life like Seto Kaiba, Jaden Yuki, and even Jack Atlas. The Kastle siblings' death could be best described as a near-death experience, since they are also confirmed descendants of Nasch. Reincarnation doesn't just happen at birth; in anime it happens through destiny. superlogan7437 (talkcontribs) 03:02, November 30, 2013 (UTC)

They flatlined. They were dead. Having new souls put in their bodies revived them. And no, they are not confirmed descendents of anyone. Its implied, but not confirmed. "Reincarnation" is similar to what happened here, but its not the same thing. All the examples you mentioned make sense as "reincarnations". It doesn't work in this case, though. Cheesedude (talkcontribs) 03:08, November 30, 2013 (UTC)
Well saying that their souls transferred into their bodies does not work either; it doesn't justified that the Kastle siblings becoming the new incarnates of Nasch and Merag rather than the Barians strictly possessing their bodies. superlogan7437 (talkcontribs) 05:45, November 30, 2013 (UTC)
I don't see how it doesn't. Here, its the soul that defines who the person is. Reginald and Rio's souls are gone, so they become Nasch and Merag. But the minds of the originals are still there, giving them their human memories. Cheesedude (talkcontribs) 16:21, November 30, 2013 (UTC)
I just find this statement entirely upsetting to say the least. Please just say that Nasch and Merag became Reginald and Rio Kastle instead, I don't want this article to sound like they're possessing the dead. superlogan7437 (talkcontribs) 16:39, November 30, 2013 (UTC)
They more or less are possessing the dead, except their souls revived the bodies. Had they not, the originals would have died. Cheesedude (talkcontribs) 16:42, November 30, 2013 (UTC)
So you DO admit that Reginald and Rio are the new Nasch and Merag and not clinically dead. superlogan7437 (talkcontribs) 00:33, December 1, 2013 (UTC)
They as people are dead, because their souls are gone. Their bodies continue with the souls of Nasch and Merag. Cheesedude (talk
That is all unnecessary speculation, there is no mention that the two having their Barian souls as being entirely exclusive from their human selves, not like Yugi and Yami Yugi, and especially not like Jaden and Yubel. superlogan7437 (talkcontribs) 23:28, December 3, 2013 (UTC)
The way you are wording things is also speculation, then. You are also messing up the grammar. I don't understand what problem you have with the wording I used in the articles. Your versions say the same thing in a less clear fashion. Cheesedude (talkcontribs) 23:31, December 3, 2013 (UTC)
I shouldn't really be saying anything about this topic but according to what you just said Superlogan you are saying the same soul existed in barian nasch and merag when vector killed them, as were in the body of original rio and reginald who the died then had the same soul that was in 2 places put into that dead body whilst the other body is unknown... There is so little logic in everything on most sides of any discussion about these characters.
I request the explanation of your actual meaning as i hope what i didnt spell out there what you actually mean, in the mean time i shall go back to lurking --slave(commandworks)
Let me make this simple then: Reginald and Rio's human souls should've merged with Nasch and Merag's when the two were revived in their respective bodies, not simply transferred out of their empty husks. Its the soul what makes the memories and emotions of a person, and since both Reginald/Nasch and Rio/Merag have recalled sharing the same childhood before and even after their deaths, its only fair to say that both Nasch and Merag became PART of Reginald and Rio Kastle, and only recently have the two started reconnecting with their former selves. In fact, Nasch and Merag should be the first two characters to be reincarnated twice in the same Yu-gi-oh! anime (First as Barians, second as humans). Forgive for trying to apply spirituality in a cartoon, I just find it hard to stomach that one of my favorite characters has been to this point UNDEAD. superlogan7437 (talkcontribs) 02:07, December 4, 2013 (UTC)
We do not know what happened to Reginald and Rio's souls. You have assumed they merged with Nasch's and Merag's and I have assumed that the souls departed. The fact is, we don't actually know. Cheesedude (talkcontribs) 02:18, December 4, 2013 (UTC)
What cheesedude said, furthermore though 'soul' and 'spirit' and other such words meanings despite what any given dictionary may say; are used in many many different ways whilst your usage may carry memories and so on, they might not mean it the same way. If however what you say is more or less what it turns out to be how does one determine that they... how do i put this A+B=C, B≠C even if B>A
Your thoughts have merit but they are still speculation I for one feel what is currently there relies on less guessing *shrugs* --slave(commandworks) 02:28, December 4, 2013 (UTC)

Episode 136[edit]

I'm sorry I can't really clarify there but do you know what the go with these 'fake' previews are? episodes 137-141 at any rate... I could have sworn 136 was the exact same source as 135 which... didn't ahve any contradictions misleading previews that were legit... --slave(commandworks) 08:01, December 12, 2013 (UTC)

I would tend to agree with what UltimateKuriboh said there. Cheesedude (talkcontribs) 01:25, December 13, 2013 (UTC)

You may have noticed it already, but I'm re-checking the R manga now (since I've bought Viz's volumes), and as usual, with each manga tons of doubts come. xD First, I've noticed something: instead of translating the manga lore, Viz just copy/paste'd the TCG lores of the TCG-existing cards (for example, you can see Dark Magician Girl has no lore at all in JP, but in Viz's volume she has the TCG lore). I just ignore them and go with the JP lores, right? (I did it with Diffusion Wave-Motion, for example) Second, the NC images. In the omakes, there are full-body drawings of some monsters. Which NC image do you think is better, the monster being summoned in the chapter or the full-body drawing from the omake? LegendaryAsariUgetsu (talkcontribs) 21:12, December 12, 2013 (UTC)

Regarding the lore thing, Viz also tried to adapt the lolmangalogic lores to the TCG. For example, Gem of Lycanthropy's lore translates to "Change the form of a Mutant.", while in Viz's volume the lore is "Tribute 1 'Mutant' monster to Special Summon another 'Mutant' monster from your deck.". Which lore should I use? JP translated or Viz's lulzattemptofadaption? LegendaryAsariUgetsu (talkcontribs) 22:00, December 12, 2013 (UTC)
I don't see any harm in just uploading all the omake images and keeping them. If you don't want to do that, use your own discretion for which is better. It doesn't have to be "all omake" or "no omake". You can decide on a case-by-case basis. I will get back to you on the other questions. Cheesedude (talkcontribs) 01:25, December 13, 2013 (UTC)
Yeah, just ignore VIZ altogether here if they are wrong. Add hidden notes though, it may deter others adding the lores from the English images. Cheesedude (talkcontribs) 03:08, December 13, 2013 (UTC)
It feels so great to add the lores the right way rather than exactly like Viz's. 8D Regarding the omake, you mean uploading them + the regular NC images or just the omakes? I don't mind uploading both, it's not such an additional work. LegendaryAsariUgetsu (talkcontribs) 00:16, December 14, 2013 (UTC)
You can upload them if you want, yeah. I don't see any reason not to. I guess just put (omake) or something behind the images in the galleries. Cheesedude (talkcontribs) 01:24, December 14, 2013 (UTC)
I'll do it then. Some omakes show nice shots of the monsters, like Gorz without his helmet for example. LegendaryAsariUgetsu (talkcontribs) 01:49, December 14, 2013 (UTC)

Y'know, many people edited manga articles to do changes to links like this (like, linking to the "manga" or "D Team" article), but many of those don't have the article (as you can see in that edit). Shouldn't we link to the manga section in the anime article instead? Otherwise those links link to nothing, it's kinda lame. LegendaryAsariUgetsu (talkcontribs) 18:05, December 15, 2013 (UTC)

The intent is the empty articles will encourage other users to actually create them, I think. Cheesedude (talkcontribs) 21:42, December 15, 2013 (UTC)

The database site[edit]

That new card database site is pretty cool, huh? I'd actually always wondered if high-quality pictures of anime-only cards existed somewhere, and it look like they do! It also finally solved some discrepancies that have puzzled us for ages, like what card type the Legendary Dragons are (Normal Spells) and whether or not Silent Swordsman LV0's alternate forms count as separate monsters (they do). I'm anxious to see if even more cards will be added over time! Rod (talkcontribs) 19:32, December 16, 2013 (UTC)

Yeah, its pretty awesome. The community here at large has embraced it and helped with the upload process. This is one of those things that's been on my "awesome thing that will never happen list" since before I started on the wiki. Its staggering what they've gotten done already. Cheesedude (talkcontribs) 19:41, December 16, 2013 (UTC)
It does seem like more cards will be added over time, as if you do a bit of digging you can find [cards that aren't listed yet] in the code. Note also a listing for "Grand Dragon Leviathan;" the picture is, erroneously, Cave Dragon, but I think this is supposed to be The Great Leviathan, finally confirming he too is a Duel Monster! Rod (talkcontribs) 20:43, December 16, 2013 (UTC)
Yeah, we've been digging that way. Some cards just plian aren't up yet though. And yeah, the Leviathan thing made us all laugh. I mean, there are even pages for cards that weren't played or named like "Fossil Machine Skull Buggy" (which only just got a wiki page as a result). Cheesedude (talkcontribs) 02:13, December 17, 2013 (UTC)

RE:Machina Gearframe[edit]

I believe it's that sillhouette in page 7, Shark's pal's panel. I was hesitating in leaving it though, I can't say for sure whether it is or not Gearframe...

By the way, would you happen to recognize this monster? :P LegendaryAsariUgetsu (talkcontribs) 13:33, December 17, 2013 (UTC)
Ah, ok. Yeah, that looks like it to me. Leaving it is fine, I think. And no, sorry, I don't recognize Tetsuo's monster either. Cheesedude (talkcontribs) 17:31, December 17, 2013 (UTC)

Don Thousand[edit]

Is it alright to add that Don Thousand killed all the Seven Barian Emperors. We have evidence from Girag and Alito past lives of him giving them the Number 10X. I mean its pretty obvious but your opinion. that he did. (talkcontribs) 04:50, December 21, 2013 (UTC)

We only know that he killed Girag and Alito. We should know for sure with Mizael quite soon. The previews for Nasch vs. Vector also mention their true memories being brought up, and that will no doubt involve Durbe ad Merag too. So I'd prefer if we just waited. It may not be quite the same for them all. Cheesedude (talkcontribs) 04:55, December 21, 2013 (UTC)

Who is going to make the changes to Jinlongs and Mizaels page? I mean whats going on is pretty important and I do not speak fluent Japanese so I can not make the edits myself.Dragonemperor135 (talkcontribs) 22:31, December 22, 2013 (UTC)

@Cheesdude: Personally, I think that the Nasch vs Vector eps will tell us the truth about Merag's past life memories along with Nasch and Vector's true past life memories but I can't see Durbe's true memories being revealed until Yuma Duels Vector/Don Thousand because Nasch has 73 and 94 while Vector has 65. Neither of them have 44, Yuma has 44, so Durbe's true memories will have to wait a long while to be revealed. Also, Mizael's true memories were revealed this episode, although it's strange they chose the 1st half of the Duel with Kite vs Mizael instead of the 2nd half of the duel like with Yuma vs Alito and Alito vs Girag. And it turns out that Don Thousand did kill Mizzy after all and also gave him his Number 10X. Also, Don Thousand now has 3 forms as of this ep: His Barian form, his Grim Reaper/Shinigami form, and his Shaman form 9that's right, DT was the wandering Shaman). It's a good thing these next several eps are flashbacks of the Emperor's past lives true memories.Over-HundredLegendaryChaosShiningNumbers (talkcontribs) 23:10, December 22, 2013 (UTC)

@Dragonmaster Changes will be made when we have a full translation. There is no rush.
@Numbers I'm aware of all that. My point was that Nasch, Vector, Merag and Durbe all have past lives at are intertwined, so we could very easily see all their memories at once. Alito, Girag and Mizael did not - they were all separate, they never met any other future Barians. Cheesedude (talkcontribs) 02:03, December 23, 2013 (UTC)

But Durbe and Vector seem to have died outside of the presence of the others. So maybe only Nasch's and merag's true memories can be viewwed together.Over-HundredLegendaryChaosShiningNumbers (talkcontribs) 17:03, December 23, 2013 (UTC)

True. However, Yuma could just as easily toss Number 44 to Nasch before the Duel starts or something, which would let us see Durbe's as well. We'll just have to wait and see. Cheesedude (talkcontribs) 18:30, December 23, 2013 (UTC)

Chapter gallery[edit]

Y'know, I usually add shots of the most important parts of the chapters in their articles when I write the full summary for them, but now that I can't do that anymore the manga articles are pretty abandoned... I was thinking, do you think I should start making a gallery for the chapters, adding files to show the main events of it? Since the biographies aren't updated either, I think that could help a bit removing this "abandoned" vibe. Also, I've seen other Wikias, such as the One Piece Wikia, have a gallery for each character, and it looks nice. It's just a thought though, I'd like your opinion as well. ;D LegendaryAsariUgetsu (talkcontribs) 16:41, December 23, 2013 (UTC)

A gallery for chapter articles would be fine. That's been on in the past for episode articles before a summary gets written. As for character galleries, I'm not fond of the idea. Ideally, the images should be next to text that they describe as visual aides. If there truly is no other place to put those images and the images exist, I guess it would be fine, but it should be undone as soon as any other way presents itself, I think. Cheesedude (talkcontribs) 18:30, December 23, 2013 (UTC)
So, galleries only for chapter articles? In that case, how should I do it? Add a "gallery" section in the article itself? Make a "sub-article" like the chapter card galleries? LegendaryAsariUgetsu (talkcontribs) 18:31, December 23, 2013 (UTC)
I would go with with a gallery section, yeah. No need to isolate the images from the article if they're meant to improve the look. Cheesedude (talkcontribs) 18:33, December 23, 2013 (UTC)

What ifs[edit]

There's a what could have happened thing on 5D's 92 article, and I'm curious as to our stance on those things. Don't we usually not list how Duels could be won unless a character says it (a character not doing something that would have won them the Duel isn't a mistake after all)? Shardsilver (talkcontribs) 03:16, December 24, 2013 (UTC)

We usually don't, no. I would remove it. In fact, the second point is just wrong, Lawton attempts to do exactly what that point says he never tried. He doesn't try again later, true. Cheesedude (talkcontribs) 03:23, December 24, 2013 (UTC)

I'm starting to think that if it wasn't for me, this'd be an anime-only Wikia. xD I'm taking some time now since I'm in vacation for a couple of weeks to re-check R, but man, we have nothing about DM. Card effects, card images, we lack even chapter articles. I'd like to add that whole stuff, but it's too much for me alone. I was thinking, do you happen to know of 1 or 2 guys around here who have DM's volumes in English and would be interested in eiditing the manga? If someone could create the articles with the official English names (and maybe duel summary, since I'm used to writing those in a completely different standard), I could add Japanese infos and images. LegendaryAsariUgetsu (talkcontribs) 17:39, December 25, 2013 (UTC)

I have a few English volumes and I believe Deltaneos does well. There is a user whose name I can't remember that also worked on some R stuff recently and mentioned the English volumes. Perhaps he has some DM volumes as well. I'll look the the volumes I have when I have time and add the info when I can (I think I have volumes 4-12, something like that). Cheesedude (talkcontribs) 17:54, December 25, 2013 (UTC)
That's probably me who's been doing R, but I don't HAVE the volumes per se, I just borrow them from the library, which makes getting a hold of them fairly easy. Sanokal K-T (talkcontribs) 23:19, January 21, 2014 (UTC)
Ah, yes it was you. Sorry. And thank you, by the way. Cheesedude (talkcontribs) 01:25, January 22, 2014 (UTC)

This is untolerable. Please ban the user for doing so. Energy X 00:48, December 26, 2013 (UTC)

I don't think the person needs a ban yet; just a warning not to do that again. He only has 1 edit, so a simple warning first would be better. Shardsilver (talkcontribs) 01:01, December 26, 2013 (UTC)
In 99% of cases, a single vandalism edit is not enough grounds for a block. I'd issue a warning as Shard said. Racial slurs fall in that 1% though, so yes, blocked. Cheesedude (talkcontribs) 02:15, December 26, 2013 (UTC)

What do you think of this, and what Template should it be added on to or any extra Catagory (I leave template editing to other people normally)? Shardsilver (talkcontribs) 17:47, December 26, 2013 (UTC)

Oh, awesome. A complete list would be most welcome. As for the templates, I'll look at again in a bit. I'm a bit tied up with family, so I do't have a lot of time right now. Cheesedude (talkcontribs) 21:53, December 26, 2013 (UTC)

Noble Knight page[edit]

Since there is no reason to let this devolve into an edit war, it would probably be better to take the issue up here. The site's standard for an archetype is based on the name first, and what the effect supports second. While I believe that standard is flawed beyond belief, it is still what I have been going by when reverting or removing any changes in regards to adding Gwenhwyfar from the Noble Knights page. She is a Noble Arms card and not a Noble Knight, by the definition set by the site. None of the other Noble Arms are consider Noble Knights despite the fact that they are all meant to support them

Lady of the Lake on the other hand, is considered a Noble Knight card because her effect is clearly meant to support them even if she is NOT a member of the archetype by name.

Unless this has changed since the last time I fought with the staff over the definition of an archetype (Abyss being an archetype including all Mermails despite the fact that Mermails did not support the 2 Abyss monsters, and the Abyss Spell/Traps all being Mermail support) then I fail to see how I am the one in the wrong for maintaining the page while following what the site staff has decided to be the standard to follow - Axel Shiokawa (talkcontribs) 07:46, January 4, 2014 (UTC)

RE:Manga HERO Fusions[edit]

To be honest, the time I edited the GX manga, I was still reading it for the first time, and didn't know well how to handle the manga lores. I use to check this website for manga lores when I needed 'em, and it lists them with specific materials, to I went with it. LegendaryAsariUgetsu (talkcontribs) 15:54, January 11, 2014 (UTC)

Y'know, do you remember when we talked about the manga lores being totally different from the TCG lores, and you told me to translate them literally, using any wording the manga used? Extra Deck monsters don't have their materials listed in the manga, so we can never be sure about them. And not only fusions, there are lots of cases in which an Xyz Monster may or may not require specific Attribute monsters, or a synchro monster requires or not a specific tuner/non-tuner monster, etc. I'm not sure about how to handle this though. LegendaryAsariUgetsu (talkcontribs) 23:00, January 11, 2014 (UTC)
Yeah, I guess. This case is a bit more complicated than the lores. Well, yeah, I guess it doesn't hurt to just make a reconstruction based on how they were summoned, and in case the card comes to the OCG and the materials match (e.g. Number 22: Zombiestein), list the manga materials like the OCG materials. LegendaryAsariUgetsu (talkcontribs) 23:09, January 11, 2014 (UTC)

Skull Base[edit]

Hello Cheesdude. I have a doubt. The card "Skull Base" was not a Zombie froma ttribute Water?

--TheUndeadLord (talkcontribs) 21:10, January 11, 2014 (UTC)

From what I can tell, there was never any evidence it was WATER. The card wasn't shown in the anime. The official website page say its DARK, so that's why I changed it. Cheesedude (talkcontribs) 21:18, January 11, 2014 (UTC)

  • Yeah, I don't know where it came from either. I was browisng google images for V's hilarious posture when he summoned Chaos Dyson Sphere and found this, and I was like "Okay.. I'm.. going to keep this". Nor, do I know which opening/ending it is from. Then again, I never really paid much attention to the endings. Still haven't found that image was originally trying to find anyway. --DysonSlinky (talkcontribs) 02:59, January 14, 2014 (UTC)
  • Oh neat, that happens to be my favorite opening too. Now then, how would I add the image to it? I don't see a gallery for it. lol --DysonSlinky (talkcontribs) 03:12, January 14, 2014 (UTC)

Are templates not working for you, or is it just me?[edit]

I just want to let you know that for some reason, I can't open up any archetype tabs at the bottom of a page, or the things on a page where it tells you what episode or card set the card was in. I hope that you fix this problem soon. It may be just me, but if it isn't, I hope you look into it, because I like typing down archetype decks on my computer in my space time. RE:Number Decklists[edit]

It doesn't seem half bad. I find the decklist easier to follow and more practical, but this new ideia seems better to provide explanations and spares those ton of notes. Besides, it also helps avoiding loooong edit wars with reasons why or why not when the possession of a certain Number is not known for sure. @Grammar: Oh, good to know, then. @Numbers list: so we'd only list Numbers played in a duel in the Decklist, huh. This sounds good, since holding a Number doesn't mean having it in the Extra Deck. This will keep things more consistent and reliable. It's a shame this was only thougth about near the end of ZEXAL (well, we still have the manga anywayz). LegendaryAsariUgetsu (talkcontribs) 20:29, January 22, 2014 (UTC)

BTW, another little doubt. Shark vs Yagumo technically begun in Rank 37, simultaneously with Yuma vs Kaito, but the first bit of the duel which was shown was in Rank 38. In the character's decklists, should I add the duel as "Rank 37-???" or "Rank 38-???"? LegendaryAsariUgetsu (talkcontribs) 20:39, January 22, 2014 (UTC)

Bullet points[edit]

My main question is, why move away from using them in the first place, when there are several advantages to using them? Do the reasons for moving away from them outweigh these advantages? Blueapple128 (talkcontribs) 02:27, January 29, 2014 (UTC)

In that case, at least breaking up the turns into paragraphs would be better than a huge wall of text. My strongest examples are the two turns in Yu-Gi-Oh! 5D's - Episode 151 and the three Duels listed at the bottom of the ZTK page; for these four Duels, would bullets, separate paragraphs, or something else be most preferred? Blueapple128 (talkcontribs) 02:49, January 29, 2014 (UTC)

Yo, since it'll take long until we get an official name for Demon King Super-Dragon - Beelzeus, I wonder if we could give 'im an Org name, to sound better in English and to fit more with Beelze, King of Dark Dragons. Maybe something like "Beelzeus, King of Super Dragons" or whatever. LegendaryAsariUgetsu (talkcontribs) 21:31, February 2, 2014 (UTC)

Yeah, it could use a more consistent name, I agree. I'll see what everyone thinks, then. Cheesedude (talkcontribs) 21:33, February 2, 2014 (UTC)

Hey Cheese, can you try to tell Igor that we're keeping the character Decks on their individual pages in an attempt to get rid of the "X's Decks" pages please? I've told them in both edit revisions and on their talk page, but they don't reply and continue to revert my edits. Thanks. TheScarecrow14 (talkcontribs) 20:47, February 4, 2014 (UTC)

Yeah, I'll leave him a message. It doesn't help that we've not made much progress towards that goal, so I sort of understand why he's doing it. And on that note, I suppose that's what I'll work on later tonight, XD. Cheesedude (talkcontribs) 02:20, February 5, 2014 (UTC)
I could understand that, but I have told him that we're trying to do that several times, but he continues to edit and doesn't even reply to what I say. And I can work on them too, haha. I think the majority of ZEXAL ones can be deleted as their incarnates all have their respective pages. And I can work on a few of the 5D's ones too (I think Aki's in pretty much ready to be deleted too). Thanks! xD TheScarecrow14 (talkcontribs) 14:34, February 5, 2014 (UTC)
Oh and whilst we're on the topic of "X's Decks" pages, do you think we should put the Decks from publications on their respective character pages, or on the pages of that product, such as the Number Guide ones. Thanks. TheScarecrow14 (talkcontribs) 16:41, February 5, 2014 (UTC)
I was unsure about that myself. I think we should put them on the publication pages for sure, but I'm unsure if that means we should remove them from the character pages. Cheesedude (talkcontribs) 17:42, February 5, 2014 (UTC)
For reference, I've used User:Cheesedude/Sandbox3 for Yuma's main article, complete with the Decklists from the anime. I'm a little concerned about the article length now, I'm just not sure if I should be. What do you think? Keep in mind that Yugi, Jaden and Yusei's articles would end up even longer. Cheesedude (talkcontribs) 02:37, February 6, 2014 (UTC)
Is there some way to condense certain parts of articles into some form of clickable, drop-down section (such as the article navs do?). TheScarecrow14 (talkcontribs) 16:06, February 6, 2014 (UTC)
I'm sure there's some way that would be possible, but I don't know if I'd want to take that route in a biographical article. Cheesedude (talkcontribs) 17:52, February 6, 2014 (UTC)
I actually talked about this to Deltaneos a few months back. Basically, would you be opposed to merging the smaller anime Decks into one list, such as Droite's and Rio's (obviously separating the Ice/Winged Beast Deck from the Gorgonic)? Personally I think it's unneeded, especially when their Decks remain the same and creating separate listings for 1-6 cards makes the articles longer and messier than they should be. It's not a solution for characters who have larger Decks such as protagonists, but it does solve the issue with the characters who Duel less. Originally I thought it'd be odd, but it works for the manga articles. What do you think? TheScarecrow14 (talkcontribs) 13:54, February 9, 2014 (UTC)
I understand your reasoning, but I'm sort of hesistant to go that route. We split them for consistency's sake to begin with. Uh. I really have to think about this. I'll get back to you in a few days (if I don't, feel free to poke me). Cheesedude (talkcontribs) 22:03, February 9, 2014 (UTC)
Yeah, that's fine xD I was just wondering because they end up with a Decklist with let's say 1 card in (like Droite's Barian Emperor Onslaught Deck), given bar consistency reasons, lacks any purpose. It also allows us to use 1 Deck description rather than having to attempt to make their arc Decks have different descriptions when they're relatively the same (especially given that we never see enough of one Deck to determine whether it'd be different or not). TheScarecrow14 (talkcontribs) 00:29, February 10, 2014 (UTC)

Manga timeframe[edit]

Just curious, when are the duels for the 21 and 22 chapters of Yu-Gi-Oh! D Team ZEXAL and ride 53 and 54 for Yu-Gi-Oh! 5D's manga going to be added?Dragonemperor135 (talkcontribs) 21:03, February 5, 2014 (UTC)

When we get the scans. This may happen soon if our provider manages to find them; if she doesn't, we'll have to wait 'till Viz releases the chapters or 'till another provider manages to get us the scans. LegendaryAsariUgetsu (talkcontribs) 00:55, February 6, 2014 (UTC)

Regarding your last edits in the manga chapters[edit]

Should I start using the term "Overlay Unit" with a link to "Xyz Material", rather than just "Xyz Material"? Also, I used to add a link in "Overaly", but I noticed it leads to a disambiguation page, so should I leave it with no link at all or link it to "Xyz Material"? LegendaryAsariUgetsu (talkcontribs) 20:59, February 6, 2014 (UTC)

What does the manga itself usually use? I added that of habit, I suppose. If the manga usually uses Xyz Material instead, do revert me. Cheesedude (talkcontribs) 22:54, February 6, 2014 (UTC)
Now that I stopped to check, the manga does use "Overlay Unit". Guess that's it, then. LegendaryAsariUgetsu (talkcontribs) 22:58, February 6, 2014 (UTC)
Oh, and to answer your other question: I usually just link "overlay" to "Xyz Material". Not really a big deal if its unlinked though. Cheesedude (talkcontribs) 23:00, February 6, 2014 (UTC)

A(nother) few things[edit]

I was gonna move Yusei's manga Deck to his manga article, but what should I do to the Yusei's Decks page then? Just transfer the manga list, or add a "Main|Yusei Fudo (manga)#Deck" kinda redirect? Also, I'm really not sure about what effect properties to add to Star Mirror of Reaction... maybe "damages you" and "damages your opponent"? LegendaryAsariUgetsu (talkcontribs) 15:07, February 7, 2014 (UTC)

We do intend to try to phase out the Decklist pages entieraly (see the conversation with Scarecrow above), but the main character deck pages would add so much content to the main anime articles that I'm not sure. In any case, just a link to the manga article would be fine for now (I'd better go add that to the ZEXAL articles I removed the manga Decks from. Oops). Cheesedude (talkcontribs) 23:18, February 7, 2014 (UTC)
And yes @ those effect properties. Cheesedude (talkcontribs) 23:19, February 7, 2014 (UTC)

Another Wiki Using Your Content[edit]

Hi Cheese! Just a heads up, I'm not sure if this wiki minds, but I discovered that this wiki is using content from this wiki without attributing it to this wiki or even asking if it's alright. I found this wiki out because another user brought it up to attention at the Bleach Wiki. If this is of no importance to you, please feel free to ignore. If you don't like/want them doing this, you can confront the admin of that wiki. Kamikaze839 23:40, February 8, 2014 (UTC)

Thank you for bringing this to my attention. My fellow admins and I will talk it over. Cheesedude (talkcontribs) 01:14, February 9, 2014 (UTC)

Episode 140[edit]

Episode 140 of Yugioh Zexal] was not really clear about the origin of the Numbers. All it showed was Astral and Don Thousands battle and the Numeron Code Can you explain it in more detail. Thank you.Dragonemperor135 (talkcontribs) 19:27, February 9, 2014 (UTC)

I cannot, since there is no translation up for it yet and I don't speak Japanese. They should be one posted on NAC later today. Cheesedude (talkcontribs) 22:03, February 9, 2014 (UTC)

ZEXAL Episodes 95/96[edit]

I added episode 95's summary and expanded on 96's. Mind having a look over them? ChaosGallade (talkcontribs) 07:17, February 10, 2014 (UTC)

Sure, I'll take a look now. Cheesedude (talkcontribs) 18:28, February 10, 2014 (UTC)
I made a few general fixes to both. Very nice work, though. Also, am I reading this right? The dub kept Kite slapping Yuma? XD. Cheesedude (talkcontribs) 18:59, February 10, 2014 (UTC)
Thanks, and yes, Kite still slapped Yuma in the dub. ChaosGallade (talkcontribs) 19:48, February 10, 2014 (UTC)

Number Hunting[edit]

Yo, I just wrote Yagumo's Number Hunting section, but his is a tricky one, I'm not sure I wrote it properly. :P Would you mind double-checking it? LegendaryAsariUgetsu (talkcontribs) 23:29, February 10, 2014 (UTC)

Looks fine to me. Cheesedude (talkcontribs) 02:08, February 11, 2014 (UTC)

about: Magician (archetype)[edit]

Magician is an archetype; it should stay. in Starter Deck 2014 there are 2 mosnters so far...Stargazer Magician and Timegazer Magician they have this in common " If you don't have a "Magician" card or an "Odd-Eyes" card in your other Pendulum Zone, this card's Pendulum Scale becomes 4.``Wasn't 21:07, February 17, 2014 (UTC)

I know. I deleted it because it was a redirect to something else. We do not currently have enough information to make the page for it though. Cheesedude (talkcontribs) 21:50, February 17, 2014 (UTC)

Hey, Cheesy, sorry to bother you, but I have a bad feeling Samueljoo came back here under a new alt after being blocked. See the edit history of ZEXAL episode 97 for more. ChaosGallade (talkcontribs) 05:57, February 21, 2014 (UTC)

Something is really screwed up. His block expired on Sunday, yet his contribution page states he's still blocked, which would explain the alts. Wikia in general is acting odd right now, I'll have to query staff on this. In any case, thanks for letting me know. Cheesedude (talkcontribs) 06:06, February 21, 2014 (UTC)

Card name[edit]

I'm horrible with card names. xD Yagumo's new field spell is called "魂魄の格闘場". The whole thing basically means "the field where spirits/ghosts battle". What do you think I should name it? "The Arena of Ghosts"/"Ghost Arena"? :P LegendaryAsariUgetsu (talkcontribs) 13:37, February 21, 2014 (UTC)

"Ghost Battlefield" or "Ghost Arena" would be my choices based on the info you've given me. Naturally, I would move it to what Ark decides to use later. Cheesedude (talkcontribs) 16:42, February 21, 2014 (UTC)
Ark is very overworked, so if another person translates the manga cards, he doesn't give another translation of his own. Since I transalted this one :P, we'll probably remain with my translation unless someone asks Ark about it. We should be getting an official name next Monday though, so it's more like a provisional name. LegendaryAsariUgetsu (talkcontribs) 21:55, February 21, 2014 (UTC)

Sup, long time no see. I didn't bother with a reply last time only because my existence on the wikia is extremely sporadic -- I may appear for a day or two every six months (years) and then leave for the next six months. In regards to the stuff you've been leaving on my talk page, I will gladly comply to your requests. I just need an exact definition of what can and cannot be considered as 'support cards' so that a distinguishment can be made. Huajun Chen (talkcontribs) 02:01, February 22, 2014 (UTC)
Indeed, card support categories are messy. Nobody would think twice for filing cards like Ivy Shackles under plant support, even though all it really does is change the opponent's monsters into plant type. Of course, there are cards work alongside Ivy Shackles, which I suppose is why it can be considered 'support'. I'll default to your decision in this particular case, largely because I assume you have a better judgment on what cards constitute as support and not. I've been out of the card game for about two years now, so I'm fairly rusty. Cheers, Huajun Chen (talkcontribs) 02:23, February 22, 2014 (UTC)
Well, specifically in the case for Ivy Shackles, we have cards like Rose Tentacles and Gigantic Cephalotus that rely on this card for it to work. Wouldn't we be limiting the different types of available strategies a plant deck can be based around, then? Huajun Chen (talkcontribs) 02:42, February 22, 2014 (UTC)
Also, did the Mystical Elf page blow up. Huajun Chen (talkcontribs) 02:42, February 22, 2014 (UTC)

More complications[edit]

In Rank 38, only a part of Yagumo's turn is shown: he attacking with Lancelot and Shark's monsters being destroyed. Then in Rank 39, the full turn is shown, from the beginning. How should I handle it? I was thinking about writing in the summary for 38 something like "The full turn in shown in the next Rank". LegendaryAsariUgetsu (talkcontribs) 20:24, February 22, 2014 (UTC)

Yeah, I think just putting that in parenthesis would be fine. Cheesedude (talkcontribs) 01:25, February 23, 2014 (UTC)

Yo, the Wikia is not letting me add any files, is some coding being done at the moment? LegendaryAsariUgetsu (talkcontribs) 00:21, February 24, 2014 (UTC)

Yeah, something is messed up. I don't have details, but you'll just have to try again later, I guess. Sorry. Cheesedude (talkcontribs) 00:25, February 24, 2014 (UTC)

Chapter Links[edit]

This is a minor problem, but I created the pages for Yu-Gi-Oh! Duelist chapters 162 and 163 today, but the 163 chapter doesn't register the 162 chapter as the previous on despite the 162 chapter recognizing the 163 chapter as the next one. You know why that's happening? Sanokal K-T (talkcontribs) 03:24, March 2, 2014 (UTC)

SMW (the system that makes all those links works) was disabled this morning for a while, so things worked on in the meantime may still be a bit wonky. If the page is still not registering correctly tomorrow, I would contact Deltaneos or Dinoguy1000, as I have no other ideas as to what could be wrong. Cheesedude (talkcontribs) 03:30, March 2, 2014 (UTC)

Ah, okay. It just seems to be 162 that's the problem. Sanokal K-T (talkcontribs) 03:39, March 2, 2014 (UTC)

ZEXAL episode 99[edit]

I expanded the summary of episode 99. But when I saved the changes, it came out weird because some chunks of the summary were meant to be separate paragraphs. Help, please? ChaosGallade (talkcontribs) 17:39, March 3, 2014 (UTC)

Image placement can sometimes cause odd paragraph merging glitches. It's not always easy to fix, either. Often, I just end up using one image per paragraph, as more than one can mess it up and having a paragraph without an image sometimes does the same thing. I attempted to fix it up a bit, not sure how much it helped. Cheesedude (talkcontribs) 17:49, March 3, 2014 (UTC)

Normal x Effect[edit]

I noticed you changed Line Monster Spear Wheel to an Effect monster in Hishakaku's and Rank 25's articles. I'm not sure if that's right though, it's probably the same case as the hunders. If Spear Wheel had its effect in the manga, Hishakaku wouldn't need Quick Star: Level 3. Since nor its card nor any effect was shown, and its OCG effect doesn't match the manga, shouldn't we consider it is a Normal Monster in the manga? LegendaryAsariUgetsu (talkcontribs) 16:12, March 18, 2014 (UTC)

*shrugs*. I dunno. You could argue it had an effect in the manga and we just didn't see it. There's no real way to know. I've been thinking for a while we need another category to put "this may be Normal or Effect, we don't know" into. I just don't know how we'd go about doing that. Cheesedude (talkcontribs) 20:34, March 18, 2014 (UTC)
I support that idea. When we suggested the "reconstructed effect" thing to Dino we had no idea how to do it, but he smoothly came up with a cool explanantion and code for it, so maybe we could talk to him about this as well. 'Cause I, too, think that they could or not have an unseen effect (in ZEXAL vanillas don't exist, Yoshida is just lazy as hell), and don't like to have to say "Normal Monster" when it probably did have an effect. Damn you Yoshida, if you just showed your manga's cards like Hikokubo does. LegendaryAsariUgetsu (talkcontribs) 01:00, March 19, 2014 (UTC)

Hey Cheesedude

I'm making this edit in accordance to a post I made almost two years ago. As you can see, it's about the length of Yuma's page and more specifically, the part on his relationships. I haven't done anything with your reaction back then, but personally I believe you were right saying relationships sections need an overhaul in general. For example, Yuma's relationships are summed up in much detail whilst Jaden's are an insult compared to them. I don't think it's really a problem Yuma's (or Shark's, Kite's...) section is more detailed than for example Yusei's or Joey's but as a wiki in general, we can do better with most character's sections. Some characters, like Aster or Zane, don't even have a relationship section!

I believe it is a point Yu-Gi-Oh! Wikia can only improve on and with the start of ARC-V near, this might be the moment to overhaul the sections in general. Personally, I think it would be a good idea to make seperate pages for the relationship sections (like the deck pages) as it would give us the chance to write about them in a lot of details (both anime and manga). Other wikis already use that system and from what I've seen, it seems works allright. That said, I think we should make clear when there's a difference in speculation and literally cited references from the series. People may jump to wrong conclusions when the difference isn't clear but in general, some things mentioned in speculation are useful for the section too.

Probably, there are people out there who only watch the anime and look at a characters page to clarify something. I believe relationship sections are definitely one of the things they would look at. The older series and characters have this problem pretty bad and with all mentioned above, I think a little to big project on the sections couldn't hurt (tho I realise there are probably way more important projects waiting). As I probably don't have the power to start a project as mentioned on the sections in general, I hoped I could get a reaction from you on the matter as you were the only one to react almost two years ago. If I should post this somewhere else, please say so as I haven't edited on this wiki for ages.

I hope to here from you soon.

HellKaiserN (talkcontribs) 21:16, March 21, 2014 (UTC)

You don't need to apologize for not reacting sooner. It's no problem at all. As for your reaction, I have found a wiki that has seperate relationship pages which does not include speculation: the Avatar Wiki. This link leads to Korra's relationships, with Korra being the main protagonist of the new series of Avatar. Every citation is referenced. Obviously, I don't know if you are an Avatar-expert but I believe the model they use a good example on how relationships sections could of should be made. I know some things about Avatar and from what I can conclude, the sections are pretty detailed.
I realise you probably have other things to worry about on this wiki, which I can understand. However, if I manage find the time to, I will try to update some relationship sections on this wiki with the Avatar Wiki's model in mind. HellKaiserN (talkcontribs) 12:33, March 30, 2014 (UTC)
That's very impressive. If we could re-work ours to be half as good as that, it would be awesome.
That sounds good. I'll certainly help when I can, with proofreading and such at the very least. Cheesedude (talkcontribs) 17:32, March 30, 2014 (UTC)

Chaos Soldier[edit]

To prevent an edit war, I'll talk about it with you here. So you say that CXyz is a different kind of Chaos. I agree, but on a different premise.

When Dr. Faker first summoned his Heart-EartH, he did say that it combines the power of Light and Dark. Similar to how Yuugi exclaims it when it was summoned. So that is out.

And I strongly do not think there should be a rule where being in the C (archetype) automatically disqualifies it from being in the Chaos series. So the argument of "different kind of Chaos" shouldn't be a reason.

Chaos is only a series, not (yet) an archetype. So being Chaos in name is not enough of a factor. And neither is it being referenced to Light and Dark in the manga/anime. If it had "Light" or "DARK" in its card name/lore/counterparts, it would suffice, but this card, unlike his retrained counterparts, do not.

Not to mention, Chaos Soldier is an EARTH type.

For now, I won't undo your undoing edit, unless I don't see a valid reply of any sort for the next while. --Ultimate Nova X (talkcontribs) 06:29, March 28, 2014 (UTC)

I would agree that being in "C" does not disqualify it from being in "Chaos", though I would note that I cannot think of a monster that would qualify for both off-hand.
Two different forms of Chaos, both referenced in two different media. I don't see how the original manga is not valid here. Is there something I'm not getting? The EARTH Attribute part is true enough, but the manga is pretty explicit.
If you reply, don't expect another reply today, I'm turning in. I'm willing to discuss this further tomorrow if need-be, though. Cheesedude (talkcontribs) 06:37, March 28, 2014 (UTC)

I argue that just because there is no monster that qualifies for both does not mean we lower the expectations for getting into either.

But in this case, I do have an example anyway: Number C92: Heart-eartH Chaos Dragon.

I'll try and elaborate again, the original manga isn't valid because it's not directly related to the real life card game itself. Not to mention, its own credibility is strained due to the fact that it used the "light and dark" reference once again in my Dr. Faker example. You might have an argument if and only if the "light and dark" reference was only used once, but it wasn't. If a general reference is overused, its credibility inversely reflects it from how we should determine if it's part of a series or not. Plus, if I were to agree with you, I would argue that Shining Abyss also deserves (if not even more so) to get into the series, due to its lore description.

Since you are turning in earlier than I am, I'm going to revert the edits for both cards now, I hope you understand (even if you still disagree). Good night. --Ultimate Nova X (talkcontribs) 06:55, March 28, 2014 (UTC)

The original manga is the ORIGIN of the real life card game. You cannot seriously be saying that that does not make it directly related. I'm more or less with this. I don't care enough to keep arguing with you, but that doesn't mean another admin or user will not. Cheesedude (talkcontribs) 18:39, March 28, 2014 (UTC)
I've already said that (this is a rare case where) appealing to the authority of the original manga isn't enough to make it legit, as it wasn't intended to be an accurate representation of the real life card game. What if in a rare case where the manga version is totally different from the real-life version? Would we still go by the manga? I don't think so. Ultimate Nova X (talkcontribs) 19:15, March 28, 2014 (UTC)
Was it intended that way? No. It was the other way around. BLS-Envoy was based on the original BLS. If you're telling me you don't think BLS-Envoy being a Chaos monster was a delebriate reference to the manga's Chaos references with the original BLS, I don't know what to tell you. Cheesedude (talkcontribs) 19:21, March 28, 2014 (UTC)
Perhaps, but if that were the case, we would have to add a lot of other cards to the series. Some of which are anime/manga only. From this criteria, you would have to argue that cards like Kaien the Emissary of Darkness and Blue-Eyes White Dragon would have to fall into the Chaos series. Ultimate Nova X (talkcontribs) 19:35, March 28, 2014 (UTC)
The cards being anime/manga only is irrelevant. No idea why either Kaien or BEWD would be in Chaos though. You've lost me now. Cheesedude (talkcontribs) 19:39, March 28, 2014 (UTC)

Anime/manga only is definitely less important. However, to go as far to say that they're irrelevant is dishonest and lets our integrity as wikia editors questionable. I can see where you're coming from, anime/manga should only be low on the priority list, but not so low as to they're not on the list at all.

Kaien is supposedly the token that Gorz summons. It's also a Light Angel/Fairy type vs. Gorz' Dark Demon/Fiend type. And in the original manga they were shown in pairs, with reverse ATK/DEF too. I think she is just as deserving to be part of the series as Chaos Soldier, whose credit is owing to only 2 text bubbles from the manga.

Blue-Eyes is to Envoy of the End as Chaos Soldier is to Envoy of the Beginning. Just as original is to Chaos.

Anyway those are just 2 examples that I feel would have to be agreed with if one were to agree that ritual CS needs to be part of the series. Ultimate Nova X (talkcontribs) 21:20, March 28, 2014 (UTC)

That is not at all what I meant. I was arguing that the anime and manga cards are of EQUAL importance. Thus, the fact that they are anime/manga only is irrelevant.
I'm aware of Kaien's role in the manga. I don't see how that makes it Chaos.
I have no idea what you're talking about. BEWD has nothing to with CED. Cheesedude (talkcontribs) 01:45, March 29, 2014 (UTC)
Okay my mistake then.
That's because Kaien shoudn't be in Chaos, that's why I argue Chaos Soldier shouldn't be in it too. I've already stated the reasons.
CED is the Chaos version of BEWD if you check their relations in respective to the manga.

Ground or Standing[edit]

Hey Cheesedude, just wondering where the term "Ground Duel" came from? I recently re-watched some 5D's episodes and they were referred to as "Standing Duels". Thanks. TheScarecrow14 (talkcontribs) 01:48, March 29, 2014 (UTC)

I honestly have no idea. I think its just what we've always used on the wiki. You'd be better off asking Deltaneos on that one. When 5D's first aired, I was still working on GX stuff.
Also, I saw your edits to III's article. I do like how the Decklist turns out. Cheesedude (talkcontribs) 01:51, March 29, 2014 (UTC)
Ah right, thanks. And yeah, I do too. I'm not entirely sure how we could go about with doing it to characters like Yuma, Kaito etc as they have used such a large number of cards. Maybe split it into seasons like it was before? It's nice to see characters now have more than 6-7 cards in a Deck list xD Shall I do it with other characters like Droite, Rio etc? TheScarecrow14 (talkcontribs) 11:38, March 29, 2014 (UTC)
I think we may have retain the "X's Decks" pages for the main characters. But yes, if you want to go ahead and do this for other characters, go right ahead.
You did remove the V Jump Decklist from III's article though. We should try to retain those somewhere. Cheesedude (talkcontribs) 16:40, March 29, 2014 (UTC)
Yeah, that sounds good. And yeah, I have them on my mac, so i'll add them all to the V Jump/Number Guide pages once i'm done ^^. TheScarecrow14 (talkcontribs) 16:43, March 29, 2014 (UTC)
Ah, cool. That's perfect. Cheesedude (talkcontribs) 16:47, March 29, 2014 (UTC)

You're not a fan of an easy page scrolling, aren't you? I'm pretty sure these articles have a minimum of ten notes, which is the number required for a scrollbox to work properly. :) -- The Talk Goblin 17:27, March 29, 2014 (UTC)

Ten notes easily displays on-screen without scrollbox. Cheesedude (talkcontribs) 17:30, March 29, 2014 (UTC)

Well, she didn't remember the fact that Don Thousand brainwashed her into sacrificing herself. I'm still not sure about Durbe since Don Thousand just appeared to him and his army. If not the lead, where would you have preffered it? Shardsilver (talkcontribs) 17:27, March 30, 2014 (UTC)

They never showed her remembering, but its possible she had all of her memories after being revived. That's neither here nor there though. Whatever applies to Merag probably applies to Durbe too though. They weren't alive long enough to be in a situation where they recover the memories. Cheesedude (talkcontribs) 17:32, March 30, 2014 (UTC)
That's very true. Shardsilver (talkcontribs) 20:35, March 30, 2014 (UTC)

Duels record[edit]

Is this format of Decks/Duels listing the official format now? I mean, listing the Duels separately? LegendaryAsariUgetsu (talkcontribs) 18:12, April 2, 2014 (UTC)

Yeah. Deltaneos have been using it for original manga stuff for a while. Scarecrow recently went through and applied it to some ZEXAL stuff. Ideally, the Duels themselves should get their own articles, but not much has been done on that front. Formatting it this way does prevent the record box from interfering with the text. I think the whole thing likes neater this way. So yeah, we're working on getting them converted. No rush, though. Cheesedude (talkcontribs) 18:18, April 2, 2014 (UTC)

Navbox help[edit]

How do I edit the archeseries Navboxes? "Cenozoic Fossil Knight - Skullger" of the Fossil archetype is missing in the navbox?Cardsknower (talkcontribs) 03:36, April 5, 2014 (UTC)

They navboxes are handled through the card pages. That card is already tagged the right way. Wikia has been glitching recently though. Members randomly disappear from navboxes. I'd wager if you check the same navbox again tomorrow, the card will be back. Nothing we can do about it, unfortunately, besides hope Wikia staff will fix whatever server-side issue is causing it. Cheesedude (talkcontribs) 03:42, April 5, 2014 (UTC)

Gimmick Puppet Ritual[edit]

So we clearly state that the Dub has misnamed things or did things wrong in every other way, but the card names? TheScarecrow14 (talkcontribs) 20:46, April 5, 2014 (UTC)

I would argue the dub is not wrong. They've simply chosen to use a different name. Its an official name, period. Thinking about it more, I do sort of like your solution to put it in a note, my issue is implying its an error. Cheesedude (talkcontribs) 20:50, April 5, 2014 (UTC)
True, using "Puppet Ritual" as an example is more... Bad? Just because of the fact that it isn't a "Gimmick Puppet" card. What would you propose a better way of phrasing it would be? TheScarecrow14 (talkcontribs) 20:56, April 5, 2014 (UTC)
Yeah, "Puppet Ritual" is probably the worst they've done as far as that goes. If we're gonna go the Notes route, my recommendation would be just say "this card was called X in the dub" and leave it that. Cheesedude (talkcontribs) 20:59, April 5, 2014 (UTC)

Unofficial lore[edit]

Hey CD. Didn't we agree not to add unofficial lore to anime only card pages, due to the redundancy of it? Almost no anime cards receive English text. Sorry I can't ask in Skype, I won't have access to it for an uncertain amount of time. --Golden Key (talkcontribs) 19:26, April 6, 2014 (UTC)

I don't actually remember having that conversation, but I also don't disagree with it. Cheesedude (talkcontribs) 19:30, April 6, 2014 (UTC)

Wacky & Wild Guide: Yu-Gi-Oh![edit]

Hey there, Cheesedude. Wikia is putting together a Wacky and Wild guide highlighting upcoming media that's popular but perhaps a bit offbeat, and we think Yu-Gi-Oh! fits that description. We'd really appreciate it if you took the time to answer a few questions for us -- we'll use the responses in the write up, which will be launching next week. If you could get me answers by this Thursday, that would be great! Thanks in advance!

1.) Who are you and what do you do for the Yu-Gi-Oh! community?
2.) What drew you to the Yu-Gi-Oh! community?
3.) What about Yu-Gi-Oh! makes it wacky, weird, and/or wild?
4.) Where would you recommend someone start with the franchise? Any particular episode, movie, book, etc.?
5.) What's the wackiest/wildest thing you've seen in the Yu-Gi-Oh! community?
6.) What can we expect from Yu-Gi-Oh! in the near future?

That Shiunin guy[edit]

That Sora Shiunin guy. His last name is spelled right, but the "u" and "n" are separated; you read it as "un-in", not "unin". In cases like these I've always seen the two letters be separated by a ', like here. I think we should do the same. "Shiun'in". LegendaryAsariUgetsu (talkcontribs) 19:37, April 12, 2014 (UTC)

Also, would you like to take a look at Talk:Yusyo Sakaki? Nobody replied. :P LegendaryAsariUgetsu (talkcontribs) 00:28, April 13, 2014 (UTC)
I'll run the Sora thing by someone on Skype. Give me a bit. I'll check Yusyo's talk page now. Cheesedude (talkcontribs) 00:32, April 13, 2014 (UTC)
Yeah, you're right on the Sora thing according to Ness. Feel free to move it, then. If you don't, I'll move it later today. Cheesedude (talkcontribs) 00:42, April 13, 2014 (UTC)
Okay, I'll do it. By the way, that Kenichi guy is the same case (it's "Ken'ichi"). LegendaryAsariUgetsu (talkcontribs) 00:44, April 13, 2014 (UTC)
I saw the romaji on that one and was about to ask, XD. Cheesedude (talkcontribs) 00:45, April 13, 2014 (UTC)
Yeah, actually I only noticed it thanks to your edit. xD If I find more cases like these I'll report 'em to you. LegendaryAsariUgetsu (talkcontribs) 00:49, April 13, 2014 (UTC)

There's a sub of the zexal ll ending on youtube, and Kotori supposedly said she loved him, could you evaluate it though (close captions to view the subs, also video by "Spaminas01")? Also does One of the Emperors saying they'll help with the power of the Seven Emperors (themselves) imply they do still have the Barain powers (all the powers they had were because of Don Thousand making them Barians, besides Vector's Yami no Duel thing)? Shardsilver (talkcontribs) 15:31, April 14, 2014 (UTC)

Based on the translations that NeoArkadia did on NAC, she only said that she "loves Yuma's smile" (she used the exact same terms that Astral had used earlier). Durbe does say they'll help using their power, but it could just as easily mean "my power as a Duelist" as it could "my magic space alien powers". That said, all of them are floating unaided, so I think its clear they have some form of Barian power left. Whether they can Bariarphose or not is the main issue, and we just don't know. Cheesedude (talkcontribs) 20:48, April 14, 2014 (UTC)
I figured in regards to Kotori (I know Daiseke means love or like depending on the way it's used in a sentence, but I just wasn't fully sure how she said the love deal, so thanks). Good point about Durbe's words. I would ultimately agree as well they obviously have some form of Barian power (or Astral converted it into Astral power). It's a shame, Zexal ll was my second favorite of the Yugioh series, and they end it with a huge cliff hanger in regards to the new threat coming up in the Astral merged with Barian World deal (who knows, we could get a movie on it). Shardsilver (talkcontribs) 21:17, April 14, 2014 (UTC)
I actually liked the ending for the same reasons. I like that its open-ended. It also leaves a good starting point for another movie. I liked BBT, but it was sort of stilted what they had to do to connect the plot together. If they did a movie now, they'd have the perfect jumping off point. Cheesedude (talkcontribs) 21:30, April 14, 2014 (UTC)
I guess I outa ask on topic of endings since it has really been on my mind, but do you think the writers screwed up on the 5D's ending? There was no reason for why their marks were taken away, and there is bound to be more bad guys to threaten the earth in some way. If danger arose, Crimson Dragon could just guide them back together, and their mission is to safeguard the world. The ending was fine, but the mark removal kind of messed it up. Shardsilver (talkcontribs) 16:25, April 15, 2014 (UTC)
It did achieve the opposite of ZEXAL's ending, but I don't know that that was a bad thing overall. I think they left ZEXAL open-ended for a reason and I think they closed 5D's off in the same for a reason. They obviously have no plans to continue 5D's in any fashion, while with ZEXAL, they left it open-ended enough that they could if they wanted to, as if they weren't sure what their plans for the future was.
I sort of like that the marks were removed, because at least everyone does get to be at peace that way and have normal lives. Cheesedude (talkcontribs) 16:47, April 15, 2014 (UTC)

How did anyone know that Tori loves Yumas smile? Ive seen people who speak Japanese say that Tori loves Yuma, not her smile. Can you help me out here? I am confused which is the official translation, the Tori loves YUmas smile one or just Tori loves Yuma? Leave a message on my talk page if you want to respond.--RaiderZ (talkcontribs) 02:23, April 15, 2014 (UTC)

Form Change and EHERO Shadow Mist[edit]

Their manga names isn't enough. Need I bring up Stardust Sparks manga name? or that Number 13 and 31 were referred to as "Cains and Abels Doom" respectively, but wasn't what the actual names were? --DysonSlinky (talkcontribs) 06:49, April 17, 2014 (UTC)

TCG Name =/= Official name. A card can have multiple official names. A name being marked as a official should not be taken to mean it will be the TCG name. Cheesedude (talkcontribs) 06:52, April 17, 2014 (UTC)

Ghoul with an Appetite and Dark Assailant as Zombie Counterparts[edit]

I know Ghoul is the counterpart of "Gate Deeg and Dark S. is the counterpart of "Shadowslayer, but can they be treated as zombie counterparts? --OnePiece (talkcontribs) 14:41, April 17, 2014 (UTC)

I've not paid all that much attention to Zombie counterpart things. I'm not actually sure what criteria we've set down for qualification. Cheesedude (talkcontribs) 14:50, April 17, 2014 (UTC)

Block user[edit]

The user User talk:TheGameRogue has been doing many false edits on "Beaver Warrior" and I have been undoing them, but he still changes them regardless of that being not true. Can you block him for me?Cardsknower (talkcontribs) 16:33, April 20, 2014 (UTC)

I vaguely remember the explanation. Was the example there only in the dub, maybe? Cheesedude (talkcontribs) 16:52, April 20, 2014 (UTC)

The labyrinth explanation was in both versions, but the monsters shown were "Penguin Knight" and "The Wicked Worm Beast". "Beaver Warrior" wasn't in the explanation.Cardsknower (talkcontribs) 17:26, April 20, 2014 (UTC)

Ah. Have you told him that? Cheesedude (talkcontribs) 17:31, April 20, 2014 (UTC)

Strange. This template does not load properly, it is still at episode 1, while it needs to be episode 3. A fix would be welcome. Energy X 20:22, April 20, 2014 (UTC)

Looks like whoever made the page hardcoded it instead of using the template. Never noticed. WinterNightmare has fixed it. Cheesedude (talkcontribs) 00:11, April 21, 2014 (UTC)

Re: Re Bible[edit]

I wasn't sure if I was supposed to rename the card since it wasn't printed yet in the TCG. But it's nice to know I can just rename the card pages to the Org equivalent without waiting for a TCG print. --Dark Ace SP (Talk) 00:32, April 21, 2014 (UTC)

Alright that's helpful, and I'll start moving the pages. However, Resurrectome still exists as a page even though I moved it back. If you delete that page I should be able to just move Re Bible back. --Dark Ace SP (Talk) 00:38, April 21, 2014 (UTC)
Card Trivia:Super-Heavy Warrior Waka - 02 couldn't be moved to the new page. --Dark Ace SP (Talk) 00:46, April 21, 2014 (UTC)
Same with Card Appearances:Prodigy Mozart, Melodious Princess of Fantasia. --Dark Ace SP (Talk) 01:04, April 21, 2014 (UTC)
Same with Card Tips:Savage Feast Level 5. Also, should I just post these in the comments section of the "Card pages that Need to be Moved"? Although there are only a few cards left. --Dark Ace SP (Talk) 01:23, April 21, 2014 (UTC)
No problem, I'm happy to help. --Dark Ace SP (Talk) 01:37, April 21, 2014 (UTC)

Overlay units?[edit]

Maybe we should add the number of overlay units to monster that make use of them? Justin Holland (talkcontribs) 02:24, April 24, 2014 (UTC)

The "Yuma overlays his 2 Level 4 monsters" line should make that obvious enough, I think. Cheesedude (talkcontribs) 02:30, April 24, 2014 (UTC)

Wacky & Wild Entertainment Guide on Main Page[edit]

Hi there!

Thanks again for your contribution to Wikia’s Wild and Wacky Entertainment guide. We think it turned out great and we couldn’t have pulled it together without your help. Would you mind featuring the article in the main page slider for us? We think it’d be a great way to get the word out. Let me know what you think!

Thanks again,

Number Guide pages[edit]

Hey, i'm not very good at constructing pages from scratch. If possible, could you help me design the Number Guide page or point me in the right direction on how to design it, if possible? Then I can place the Deck lists I have from each of them onto the pages. Thanks. TheScarecrow14 (talkcontribs) 23:42, April 28, 2014 (UTC)

I can try to put something up tomorrow. It would be fine if you just want to put up just the decklists and not link to it anywhere yet though. For reference's sake, I would maybe check out the V Jump page. That may give you a base to work from. Cheesedude (talkcontribs) 00:03, April 29, 2014 (UTC)
Just talked with Ark. He's only seen the first Numbers Guide and there's really not much to it without actually having the thing be translated fully, which it hasn't been. I would honestly just put up the articles with a brief lead paragraph (what you have in your sandbox is fine) and then just mention that they feature decklists and then list them. I can try to look into this more, but its not something I can just look up and find quickly. Cheesedude (talkcontribs) 14:52, April 29, 2014 (UTC)
I asked a YouTube uploader a few months ago to go through the 2nd guide as well (which is how I acquired the Decklists for them), so I could also see what else was in the magazine to flesh the page out more? Has Ark told you anything more about what is in the first one as I could include that in its article. TheScarecrow14 (talkcontribs) 17:16, April 29, 2014 (UTC)
That would be cool, yeah. When I know more, I'll let you know, can't get ahold of him right now. Cheesedude (talkcontribs) 17:19, April 29, 2014 (UTC)
Awesome, thanks! One last question... Should I call the pages simply "Number Guide", "Number Guide 2" or have the full name "Yu-Gi-Oh! ZEXAL Official Card Game - Numbers Guide" and so on? 17:58, April 29, 2014 (UTC)
Sure. I would go with the full names. Cheesedude (talkcontribs) 17:59, April 29, 2014 (UTC)
I posted the first one so far. Also while I have you, could you please delete Misty's and Aki's Deck pages please? I've moved all of the Decks to their appropriate pages. TheScarecrow14 (talkcontribs) 19:14, April 29, 2014 (UTC)
Done. You caught me just before I need to run to work, actually. XD. Cheesedude (talkcontribs) 19:16, April 29, 2014 (UTC)

Hello. Gomenasai, if I did some mistakes while correcting Judai and Johan's wiki pages. My command of English isnt's so good, so.. I apologise if i did something wrong. It's me, the crazy russian, yeah. JudaixJohan pairing, the other stuff... (spiritshipping, what I have to say) The source is from russian site, yep. Re: Syrus[edit]

I'm actually using YouTube as well, just i'm using HD videos to do the screencapping for. I'm trying to find good quality ones for Syrus' World Championship and Spirit Caller pages too, but no luck so far. I'm going to keep looking though. TheScarecrow14 (talkcontribs) 17:49, May 1, 2014 (UTC)

I've got one for Syrus, but it's slightly stretched (though I guess it's better than nothing). Trying to find a video of him Dueling on Spirit Caller now. TheScarecrow14 (talkcontribs) 17:59, May 1, 2014 (UTC)

Shogi Knight[edit]

So, Line Monster K Horse became Shogi Knight in the TCG. But the manga uses Line Monster K Horse. In his manga lore, should we use "Shogi Knight" or "Line Monster K Horse"? I was thinking about changing it to "except this card", but that'd be wrong. :/ LegendaryAsariUgetsu (talkcontribs) 21:49, May 2, 2014 (UTC)

Oh, and also, should we keep "Line Monsters" in the lore of Line World or change it to "Shogi"? LegendaryAsariUgetsu (talkcontribs) 21:50, May 2, 2014 (UTC)
Change it to "Shogi Knight" in the lore, but not in the manga chapter articles. Since the manga calls them "Line Monster", I would just pipe it in the lore of the support cards. Cheesedude (talkcontribs) 23:49, May 2, 2014 (UTC)
Sorry, what do you mean with "pipe"? :P Leaving them like "Shogi|Line Monster"? LegendaryAsariUgetsu (talkcontribs) 17:29, May 3, 2014 (UTC)
Yes. Cheesedude (talkcontribs) 20:37, May 3, 2014 (UTC)
