Yubel

  • I don't think Yubel was ever explicitly referred to as a hermaphrodite due to pronouns not existing in Japanese, but it seems rather clear that Yubel was meant to be both gendered due to its two voices. Danny Lilithborne 11:27, 10 May 2008 (UTC)
    • Yeah, she had this freaky masculine voice that she occasionally flipped to when she was angry. She stopped using that voice when she stopped being evil, so I'd say it's just a Light of Destruction thing, and she's female in both. Rodtheanimegod4ever 16:07, 10 May 2008 (UTC)

Speaking of Yu-Gi-Oh! in general...

...Well, I guess the short answer is that I really like Yu-Gi-Oh! a lot (speaking of both the original anime/manga series and the official card game), and I have the tendency to research for all the information related to the subjects that interest me.

But I can't claim to know everything about it, of course. For example, the only episodes from Yu-Gi-Oh! GX that I've watched complete are the first ten from the first season, and some random episodes from the later seasons, and felt no particular need to watch any more... --Van Ludwig 19:15, 10 May 2008 (UTC)

Battle Steer

Darkness Gear

The Japanese name does include "Dark", but its included as part of the word "Darkness". My guess is, Dark-variants are only considered Dark-variants when it's "Dark monster name" (with the exception of Zerato, but thats a TCG exclusive).
My guess is, UDE will keep the name unchanged, or change it it "Unholy Mech Gouken" or something similar. --Pizzaman 15:04, 19 May 2008 (UTC)

Yeah, waifu is an quasi-English-Japanese phrase used by certain kinds of people in the anime fandom community that denotes "wife". Episode 6 title

I think the title of episode 6 should be "Take a Look! Treasure Deck of Mine!" ( 見てくれ！ワシの秘宝デッキ！) its "Washi no Hihou deck", i think the title "Take a Look! This here Treasure Deck of Mine!" in it is incorrect. It would be "見てくれ！ここのワシの秘宝デッキ！" Johanking 23:03, 23 May 2008 (UTC)

Much clearer now, thanks! 「瓦礫の王」 is its name, and the furigana is most likely "Gareki no Ou", unless they gave it a nifty new furigana. Name translates to "King of Rubble", "Rubble King", "Wreckage King" or any other combination of these. --Pizzaman 11:39, 4 June 2008 (UTC)

About the trivia of "Grave Protector"

I don't know why you asked me. I didn't flag it for deletion and didn't delete it (at the time of your message). I hadn't even seen that page until you mentioned it.
Yes, we know they don't have to be the same card for it to count, eg "Lady of Faith" and "Dryad".
Generally tiny similarities that are unintentional or both cards are based on something else being the explaination for their similarties don't count as trivia.
I originaly did delete it after you messaged me, but after looking at both cards again, it might actually be notable, so I put it back. But I'm not not 100% sure if it's worth noting so I'm still leaving the deletion flag. Re:Differences in OCG/TCG rulings

To my knowledge, the TCG rulings always change. I don't remember a time when the OCG Rulings were ever changed.

The ruling we have for "Raremetal Dragon" is wrong - whoever wrote it is unfamiliar with how the OCG writes effects. His OCG Text simply says "This card cannot be Summoned normally", which the OCG uses mean "Normal Summon or Set".

The only ruling he has is that he is a "Special-Summon Only monster", which means that he cannot be Normal Summoned or Set. --Deus Ex Machina 00:18, 13 June 2008 (UTC)

Anyway, a lot of worlds begin from b and have their ending to s. I don't want to say the word. With "bows", I meant.......what is under her clothes in double and its name begins from b and ends to s. Got it?

Jinzo, Scapegoat, Graceful Dice, Skull Dice, all Landstars e.t.c. have been played in the "1st Season" of my story, while in the 2nd one, he uses Warrior and their supporting cards (like A.Forces), some of his old cars and Hermos. In the 3rd Season, he finds the Wicked Gods in his trip with Serenity and he becomes evil. Dartz's evil side returns as a spirit and posseses him. So, Joey uses the Orichalcos cards combining with the Wicked Gods. Finally, in the 4th Season, he uses a lot of dragons(as u saw). Just like Yugi and Kaiba, Joey posseses a Chaos card (Chaos Sorcerer). Not only this, he has a lot of supporting cards and when his deck is about to finish, he plays Fiber Jar for an obvious reason.

In the beginning, Mai meets Joey and after a funny moment, she gives him one of her two Harpie's Feather Duster 's and a kiss as gifts for him, because he had forgiven her and he had still loved her. (1st Season. They both r 30 years old).

Joey became a doctor.

In Joey's birthday (4th Season's beginning), Yugi gives him his Summoned Skull, Buster Blader and Skilled White Magician.

Cool. Thanks for getting back to me. I completely understand being against the ads. I've heard that individual users will be able to select monobook as the skin they use, but if the site is currently defaulting to monaco, it won't be able to switch. Eventually, (I've heard), monobook will get the ads as well, so I think the Wikia people in general won't be letting us get around the ads.
I'll see what TwoTailedFox says anyway.

I think in Japanese languange there is no "L". "L" is replaced by "R". So that means "Rua and Ruka" is the right one instead of Lua and Luca. And I think it's weird hearing "Luca" as a girl's name. Sorry if I was wrong.

Croatian names

Hi Deltaneos!

I don't know if you remember, it doesn't matter anyways, but maybe a month ago you were asking me about my translations of cards in Croatian. I'm not here very often but sometimes I look at the cards. Today I noticed that all my Croatian translations of the card names don't show up in my browser. I opened the html and saw it's still there, but it isn't displayed. Maybe it's because the code crname has been deleted. I'd really appreciate if you could take a look. When you open the "Dark Magician Girl" article, you'll see there's no Croatian name, even though it's there in HTML (Edit this page). 78.3.21.25 13:37, 15 July 2008 (UTC)

We were getting way too many language translations to fit in the table, so we removed a number of them. They still appear at the bottom, in the fact box, and can be used for cross language searching. Thanks for your effort, Deltaneos, but I opened some other pages like "Violet Crystal" which I translated as "Ljubičasti Ledac", and it still isn't shown. I think there's more to the problem. I don't know how you fixed the Dark Magician Girl article, but the other articles don't work. I don't want to be a bother, I understand that there are too many languages provided in the tables. Finally, Japanese and English names are far more important globally. Maybe a redesign of the tables would be a good solution. I know I'm a member of this Wikia, but I'm a fan and I'd like to contribute from time to time. Maybe I'll even join once. I'll understand if you don't have time at the moment. Semmantics and Chinese name chart

Well, I'm finally back. I hope to be working regularily on the wiki during these days, as usual. Anyway... That function is going to be quite helpful. Thanks!

And speaking of Chinese card names, the translated rulebook in Konami's Asian website does give names for "Dark Hole" 「黑洞」, "Magic Jammer" 「魔法干擾」 and "Seven Tools of the Bandit" 「盜賊的七個道具」... I guess we can consider them official names, don't you think so?

Interesting... I had read in the Japanese wiki that a Chinese version of Dark Magician was released, but I had never seen it.
As for the images, they come from "Yu-Gi-Oh! Monster Capsule: Breed & Battle", the very first Yu-Gi-Oh!-related game created by Konami.
