Missing Flags

Hi Deltaneos, I was looking at some of the card articles and noticed that on the tag saying that "The such-and-such name given is an approximation." has languages which don't have flags, so therefore don't show up on the article thus making the name useless. Multiple images for card pages

Hi Deltaneos,

Just to let you I made some edits to the "Necro Mannequin", "Necro Jar", and "Necro Soldier" pages yesterday, adding images of the monsters from the anime. They were immediately changed back. I was wondering if this was an official policy. Considering that the official card image for those pages is a poorly scanned photocopy from the manga, I think a little color would not hurt. I saw you edit one of them to author it by me in the title. Just wanted to know what you thought. By the way, how do you have a related links to your article? You could move my articles to userspace then. That would've been a better idea should you feel what I'm saying is more personal than generic. Having it deleted was just unfair, considering I mention a lot of things that work and could help someone struggling on what cards in their deck they might want to replace, when a discussion would be a better idea. Duel Academy Staff

Hi Deltaneos, I was just wondering if you agreed the remain characters on the Duel Academy Staff page need to be placed on their own separate articles and removed from that page. Sematic Ideas

• external Ruling pages, one per ruling, so Card Ruling sites can collect the rulings automaticly
• Property on Images, so Galleries are made automatic (also Boosterlists)
  • or Card sites can make the booster list of this card also automatic
• Property on Episodes, for used cards, so the Anime atribute of the page is make automatic

I understand. Not too keen on the first idea, but the others sound good.

• 1 individual page per ruling is too much in my opinion and only saves us having to update the "mentions in other rulings" sections.
• Adding properties to images is a very good idea. I've considered it before but keep putting it off, because it's a lot of work. But we might be able to get a bot to add card name, set, language, set number and rarity properties to all images in an already made set gallery. That would take care of many of the older images. Feel free to experiment with existing images if you have the time. Also if you want to comment here, we might be able to get the aformentioned bot.
• You mean something like [[Cards used::Speed Warrior, Junk Synchron, Junk Warrior]] on the episode page. And {{#ask: [[Cards used::{{PAGENAME}}]]...}} on the card page? Well okay... but it would mean having to rewrite a lot more on the card table than just the appearances section. Card Article images

Hi Deltaneos, I was wondering if you help me and Blackwings0605 with a little question we have about anime and Video Game images. I thought that the order images for a card article go like this Anime > Tag Force Video Game > OCG > TCG however Blackwings thinks that Video Game images of cards don't take "priority" over Anime ones. OK I agree for that the full card image would be better for cards like most of the Fortune Fairies, but there are multiple images that do show the full card, but the Kanji on the Japanese image is or nearly unreadable, or in some cases unseen, wouldn't "benefit" from this e.g. Dark Scorpion - Tragedy of Love, Flipping the Table and Swordsman of Doom Lithmus. Yes, you might be thinking of the old Lockdown I created about it which involves "Negate Attack", but it's not. This time, using "Gravity Bind", you Set the card on your Main Phase, and then activate it on your opponent's turn when he/she attacks. Then on you next Main Phase, you return Gravity Bind using Neosphere's effect and therefore you can attack. When you're done, you Set the card again. The Lockdown has been changed now. to me that doesnt make any sence, if the company (4kids) is allowing the show to be brocasted on youtube, its allowing it to be distributed all across the web, besides if they wanted to stop people from uploading and redistributeing their shows then they need to cancel open downloads and widestreaming. if they have it up on the net, its open game.

and i understand this, but think of it this way, with how many people downloading these videos, who knows who illegally onbtained these videos, and not to mention the fact youtube thrives on people uploading those kinds of videos, in fact, its youtube that takes the videos down, not the companys who make them. 4kids has actualy stated that they support things like "yu-gi-oh abridged" when it was clamed that 4kids took the videos down. same thing is going on now with "Dragonball z abrighed" and Toei animation. its youtube thats causeing the videos to go down, and its youtube that alowed the videos to go up in the first place. 4kids doesnt give a F*** about the videos going up on youtube, especialy if the video states "All copyright goes to ___" and im not saying you have to agree with me, just understand that this is what i know and beleive.

But if you check the 4Kids website, they say all rights reserved. This means they (the copyright holders) reserve for their own use, all rights provided by copyright law, including distribution. So you cannot redistribute their work, even if attribute them as the copyright holders.

Whether the abridged is allowed or not is somewhat debatable. It's a parody, so it qualifies as fair use, granting it limited use of their work without the copyright holders' permission.

The episodes of the actual series that were taken down, were illegally posted. Whether it was really 4Kids or not, it was technically illegal.

You're right that companies not caring has allowed fans to redistribute content without getting in trouble, but we still prefer not to break the law. Koa'ki Meiru Beetle Trivia conflict

Hey, I'm really sorry to disturb with such a minor matter, but I'm in a conflict with a user, Narutoheroes12, who insists on putting in Koa'ki Meiru Beetle's Trivia the fact that it's the first Insect-Type Koa'ki Meiru. I am against this because a lot of cards can be interpreted in a similar fashion to that and yet nothing of the sorts can be found in their trivia. RE:Dimensional Hole - Worm

I suppose it's the same as "A Deal with Dark Ruler" - there's no non-overly-complex situation where it would be important for "A Deal with Dark Ruler" to be an Archfiend, but it still is.

There's always "Magical Hats". If you Summon "Dimensionhole" by "Magical Hats", then you can use "Ultimate Offering" to Tribute it (and no other monsters) to Normal Summon "Worm King". Or at least, you're able to in the OCG. --Deus Ex Machina (Talk) 01:11, October 5, 2009 (UTC)

Card Search Categories and CardTable2

Hello, I have two questions:

1- What is the difference between the pages Adds from Graveyard to hand and Returns from Graveyard to hand? It sounds redundant.

2- Why the show option don't appear on other Lores (from Video Games and other languages)? The only way I can read them is by editing the page.

I can see why you might think are now. But it's really a couple of circles and rays spreading out from the centre in both cases. I'm sure such a pattern has been used plenty of times by hundreds of people for different reasons. These two particular examples are far from identical. No, it's fine just the way it is. And this may just be my opinion, but I wouldn't say it's exactly impossible for a 3 year-old to play. Difficult to understand, definitely, but if it was just for fun, than I wouldn't say that it's unlikely, wouldn't it?PoirotH 20:09, October 19, 2009 (UTC)

Espa Roba

• Espter Rouba is not the same character. All the other characters are mispellings of YGO characters, so there's no reason to believe "Espter Rouba" is any different.
