Red-Eyes B. Chick

Hey Deltaneos, I was the one to edit the Red-Eyes template page. I agree with what you said. I was about to say Red-Eyes B. Chick was omitted from the archetype navbox but then I realized its the first card listed in the members section. Should it be there, since its Japanese name doesnt have Red-Eyes in the name and it supports by Special Summoning Red-Eyes B. Dragon? Also, while looking through the navboxes of other Archetypes, some of them seem to be missing the cards in the archetype while viewing the Archetype page, but not when you view the navbox on one of the cards' page. And you seem like someone with control or influence to look into this. Davis Yuy 20:20, January 28, 2010 (UTC)

Hey you person

  • Yo, Del. I was wondering if there's a place I could get a list of all the red-linked needed "Card Appearances" pages as it would make me life a helluva lot easier. And DON'T tell me to go "Wanted Pages". That shiz doesn't help me one bit. Huajun Chen 20:14, January 31, 2010 (UTC)
    • Don't ignore me Del. I'll cry. D: Huajun Chen 20:37, January 31, 2010 (UTC)
      • You're the best, Del!!! <3333 Huajun Chen 21:13, January 31, 2010 (UTC)

So...

  • I'm, uh, basically done with the Card Appearances. Is there anything else I can do that would greatly benefit the wikia on a massive scale? I like to delete stuff and I like to copy-and-paste. Any tasks that can fit either/or/both requirements? :D Huajun Chen 16:12, February 1, 2010 (UTC)

Deletion

I happened to be browsing through the deletion log (I see things get deleted and get curious as to what it is) and saw several trivia pages with valid trivia being deleted by User:Huajun Chen. Maybe they could be restored? DemonGodAsura 17:55, February 1, 2010 (UTC)

Oh, and a page protect on this page: Secret Rare might be needed. User:002517 keeps ignoring my reasons for reverting his image. DemonGodAsura 17:57, February 1, 2010 (UTC)
Well, mostly card trivia, tips, and appearances with valid entries were deleted. I think that the Mikami comment was also for the wrong person. DemonGodAsura 19:57, February 1, 2010 (UTC)
Card Trivia:Edge Hammer, Card Trivia:Broken Bamboo Sword, Card Trivia:Accumulated Fortune, Card Trivia:Spectre, Card Trivia:Infernity Climber, Card Trivia:Jinzo - Lord, Last Turn FTK, Card Tips:Guard Hedge, and Card Trivia:Reasoning. There are more, but I'm out of time to keep listing. DemonGodAsura 20:15, February 1, 2010 (UTC)
    • Spectre's card trivia is incorrect. Accumulate Fortune's card trivia is just... I mean, how many cards allow a player to draw two extra cards? Seriously. "This card is an upgraded version of Jinzo" is the worst piece of trivia I have ever heard for Jinzo - Lord, due to the fact Jinzo is mentioned as a requirement in the card text. Tips to Guard Hedge was deleted as there are already Tips to a Hedge Guard, worry not. "This card has a similar effect to Monster Gate" does not really apply to Reasoning, as I can think of at least a billion other cards that special summon monsters from the (this one is debatable, however.) Infernity Climber's trivia of "This monster looks like a bartender." is also terrible trivia. Last Turn FTK supplies nothing that the Last Turn tips page doesn't already. I'll restore Broken Bamboo Sword, however. Huajun Chen 02:57, February 2, 2010 (UTC)

Card Editing/Anime Summaries

Should all cards be in quotes, rather than just in the 'Featured Duel' section? Some summaries have this: "while Yusei controls Speed Warrior", and others have "while Yusei controls 'Speed Warrior'". I know that when we discuss cards, add rulings, trivia, and appearances we put the names in quotes, so should the same be done for episode summaries? DemonGodAsura 18:41, February 2, 2010 (UTC)

Blackfeather Dragon

I'd like to make a complaint.

There is an editing war on this site going on about whether or not Blackfeather Dragon is the Fifth Dragon. Someone makes an edit confirming that it is, and then someone else undoes it (likely someone who cannot let go of his belief that Power Tool Dragon is the Fifth Dragon).

The fact is, Blackfeather Dragon is the Fifth Dragon. Jack clearly said that it was the Fifth Dragon on the episode that aired today.

I'd like to put an end to this war. I'd like you to do something about it. —This unsigned comment was made by Maedar (talkcontribs) 23:57, 3 February 2010 (UTC)

Synchrons

What's the ruling on Speed Spell - Dead Synchron and Respect Synchron? Do they count as Synchrons or not? --Blackstone Dresden 22:36, February 7, 2010 (UTC)

  • I mean are they part of the archetype, arch-related, or neither? --Blackstone Dresden 23:12, February 7, 2010 (UTC)
    • Why not? If there were, for example, a Spell/Trap Card with "Mist Valley" in its name that bounces cards, it would go in the Mist Valley archetype box somewhere since it has the same name and the same sort of effect. Dead and Respect Synchrons have "Synchron" in their name and support Synchro Monsters, just like every other Synchron. --Blackstone Dresden 23:51, February 7, 2010 (UTC)

Decklist notes

When listing anime decks, notes are often listed in parenthesis like "in hand", etc. I've been attempting to add missing notations to decklist articles, but have noticed that it tends to stretch the decklist a bit when something like "seen while searching deck" is added. I was thinking of trying to put in something like a clickable footnote/reference that would explain when a card was seen, assuming it wasn't used in a duel, but I'm unsure what the best format to do that would be. Any suggestions? Cheesedude 17:28, February 9, 2010 (UTC)

Alright, great. Assuming you have no problems with my adding those notes, I'll get to it. Cheesedude 17:38, February 9, 2010 (UTC)
Ok, I've tried that out on my subpage. Is there a way to still list it in the "Notes" subheader (rather than a "References" header) but use each note multiple times so that there's not separate notes for cards that are seen in the same instance? Sorry if I'm pestering you. Cheesedude 18:41, February 9, 2010 (UTC)
It does. Thank you. Cheesedude 18:52, February 9, 2010 (UTC)

Wikianswers Anime Widget

Hi Deltaneos,

Due to recent changes, the Wikianswers widget now sends questions to Wikianswers Anime rather Wikianswers. Can you change the following pages accordingly, so they redirect to Wikianswers Anime rather than Wikianswers:

MediaWiki:Answers widget user note, MediaWiki:Answers widget anon note and MediaWiki:Answers widget admin note

Find questions about <a href="http://anime.answers.wikia.com/wiki/Category:Yu-Gi-Oh!">Yu-Gi-Oh!</a> on <a href="http://anime.answers.wikia.com/wiki/Wikianswers_Anime">Wikianswers Anime</a>.

MediaWiki:Ask a question

Ask a Yu-Gi-Oh! question

Thanks... ~ Akadirgun (userpagetalk) 18:24, February 10, 2010 (UTC)

Since Wikianswers contains questions from all wikia and subjects, single categories are sometimes left untended. Although Yu-Gi-Oh! is a card game and most questions are about those, there is still 3 anime series and 2 manga about it. My point is that Yu-Gi-Oh! gets much better attention at Wikianswers Anime than Wikianswers --as debatable as it may be.
The widget is already set to send questions there. Even though the widget says Yu-Gi-Oh! category on Wikianswers, it's actually the Yu-Gi-Oh! category on Wikianswers Anime, so the above changes are necessary as to not confuse the users. The change in the widget was talked in here, here and a little bit here. If you'd like to voice your concerns, I think it would be best to do it there.

I am little confuse on this part, as you can put LODT as it's redirect to Light of Destruction set. I am curious of how to do that part? Since LODT and Light of Destruction are both exist at same time.

Weird infobox glitch

Just added the newer infobox to Adrian Gecko. While doing so, putting the first appearance in the GX anime messed something up, and linked to both eps 106 and 155. So I ended up just replacing it with a straight link to ep 106, though if I read the template instructions correctly, you're not supposed to do that for whatever reason. I know you created the template in the first place, so I figured I'd ask you. Cheesedude 02:06, February 24, 2010 (UTC)

I see. Thanks for the fixing it then. I'll make a quick edit to Amon's article and use the correct format. Cheesedude 02:15, February 24, 2010 (UTC)
Nevermind, you beat me to it. Though by that edit, I see that you only need to use the weird formatting for the manga, not the anime. I'm assuming that's because Yu-Gi-Oh! GX actually links to the anime article. Though I've been using this template, I really don't know much about coding, so I'm sort of curious. Cheesedude 02:17, February 24, 2010 (UTC)
Alright then, got it. Thanks for the help. I'll keep that in mind when I add to template to other articles. Cheesedude 02:28, February 24, 2010 (UTC)

Line breaks and removal of whitepsace

I've noticed you removing line breaks and placing spaces between categories. It was I that added all those line breaks in the first place. If that's against proper formatting, let me know, and I'll fix the articles myself that I edited those into. Thanks. Cheesedude 00:51, February 25, 2010 (UTC)

Ok then, I see. I'll go ahead and remove the line breaks where they aren't needed, since I believe I added them to...just about every article with a decklist I've edited in the past week. I actually meant space between different categories, like in your recent edit to Valon. Cheesedude 01:07, February 25, 2010 (UTC)
I guess I must have been counting the navbox as a category then. Cheesedude 01:20, February 25, 2010 (UTC)
Just thought of another question of you. Any policy on how many decks there needs to be for a separate article to be created for them? Most of the time, it seems like a good idea, but there are some cases (the Marufuji brothers and Johan off the top of my head) where there are few another it makes little sense to have one. Also, what do you think of a navbox for decklist articles? Cheesedude 01:26, February 25, 2010 (UTC)

No. of Decks needed for a separate article

I see. If someone were to add a few video games decks to each article, I could easily see keeping them. But as it stands, it just seems like a waste. That being said, you could just make it policy that a certain # is needed, since you're a bureaucrat, right? I can see why you wouldn't though, less wiki-drama that way.

Also, a category called "Decklist" is currently being used for real-world decks of tournament winners. Those articles are in bad shape. I tried fixing up a few of them, but I got burned out really quick. Usually I don't mind boring, repetitive tasks, but that was too much for me. Maybe I'll contact Huajun Chen next time she's active and she if she wants to try them. She seems to have more tolerance than me for boring, repetitive tasks. Cheesedude 01:43, February 25, 2010 (UTC)

Fair enough then. Still, we could try to establish a consensus. I'd like to think most established users wouldn't see the point of keeping those articles either. But it's not a big deal either way. Cheesedude 01:52, February 25, 2010 (UTC)

wtf?!?!

could you not just listen to me. today you put my page up for deletion but i had only been @ it 4 5 mins. i am pissed off but i will still try to retain my courtesy, so: i have nearly completed it now, would you please check if it is a satisfactory page now (or not). seriously though, i know what i'm talking about. if you have anything which you wish to add to the page, please would you do so. i am currently writing up one of my ideal decklists for this type of deck and i would, honestly, enjoy seeing what you have to say about it. i also do not beleive that appropriate will activate with the bistro buchers effect because it says when your opponent draws A card, A in this case meaning 1. if you could ask somebody higher up the yugioh 'ranks', an administrator of yugioh wikia, for instance about that card ruling i would really be content.

and by the way, i have just started tournaments and stuff recently and the next time i am in england (around summer/autumn) i beleive that if you look it up you will find me. i have beaten several of the best duelists in england, (top 20) and though i am not quite at that level, i soon will be.

i am not trying to get onto my high horse but i am trying to reason with you. my real name is pierre turle. thank you.

I believe it was you who added information about it to Seto Kaiba's Decks. Was a decklist similarly given for Yugi? There's plenty of cards in the the decklist that definitely weren't on-screen in the movie. So are they just random additions by editors that may not be accurate, or were they in the novel? Thanks. Ok, thanks for the link. Cheesedude 22:52, February 27, 2010 (UTC)

No Problem

I figured someone should do it, and since I've written a couple of these, and had some spare time, I just made it. Thanks for the compliment. Runer5h 18:53, February 28, 2010 (UTC)Runer5h

Yu-Gi-Oh! World Championship 2004 parameter

It's currently automatically linking to Yu-Gi-Oh! World Championship 2004 in infoboxes. Do we not have an article on the actual game. If not, then should it really be linked at all? Cheesedude 04:22, March 1, 2010 (UTC)

No problem. Didn't want to mess with the template myself, don't know how it works. Cheesedude 04:31, March 1, 2010 (UTC)

Proper image labeling

Could you show me how to correctly label uploads? I'm new here. —This unsigned comment was made by Prfctcellrulz (talkcontribs) 04:37, 1 March 2010 (UTC)

Action Replay

Thanks for the Action Replay code. That little brat was really getting on my nerves. --Thanonyx 21:36, March 1, 2010 (UTC)

Why didn't I think of that?

Thanks for the info dude. I never would've thought of that. I'll get to that when I do. --Thanonyx 01:59, March 2, 2010 (UTC)

Blackfeather Dragon trivia and appearances

you placed the lock on it with the wrong info in there. trivia belongs in trivia and appearences belongs in appearences. —This unsigned comment was made by 69.114.22.154 (talkcontribs) 00:01, 5 March 2010 (UTC)

Any information about the card the anime and manga can be placed in the Appearances page. It's been that way since the namespace was created and accepted by the majority of editors. If you disagree with an established consensus, feel free to discuss changing it in the forum, the Community Portal or a relevant discussion page. Repeatedly reverting doesn't change consensus. -- Deltaneos (talk) 00:08, March 5, 2010 (UTC)
Could you please do something about the user that posted above you? He's just vandalizing pages now. --Blue (Talk) 00:12, March 5, 2010 (UTC)

Thank you for putting blocks on the BFD pages.--Tapper930 04:26, March 5, 2010 (UTC)

Card Image for Users

Is that perfect legal to allow members to post the exist cards, like Dark Magician, in their user page? I have seen one trying to put in four spellcaster cards and other member (which is around 2,000 edits) just keep delete them from that member who was working hard to put them in. It don't make any sense... I am sure you will know what I am talk about. Sorry about running-on sentence. --FredCat100 00:56, March 5, 2010 (UTC)

It does seem kind of redundant that some people would just go through and take out images. I mean maybe you could argue about them cluttering pages, but I'm pretty sure that user pages are not top notch important, and besides, whats the harm it's not like your going to run out of images! The Supreme King

Does the original anime ever state his name as Haou? His "name" is formed by the kanji for Supremacy and King, pronounced as Haoh, so should his page be edited to remove any references to Haou being anything but a title? --Blackstone Dresden 21:09, March 5, 2010 (UTC)

Who on this wiki would you recommend I speak to then? --Blackstone Dresden 21:25, March 5, 2010 (UTC)
