Card Rulings to autoconfirmed

The edit notices don't seem to be working; so can we make all Card Rulings pages editable by autoconfirmed only now? -Falzar FZ- (talk page|useful stuff) 02:42, December 10, 2011 (UTC)

Looking at the amount of rulings reverts in the recent changes, I guess it is time to try step it up to autoconfirmed. -- Deltaneos (talk) 22:47, December 10, 2011 (UTC)
Was this done yet? -Falzar FZ- (talk page|useful stuff) 00:49, January 9, 2012 (UTC)
No. I didn't think you were asking me specifically to make the request. If you think there's enough support on the previous forums: Forum:Ruling pages, false rulings prevention idea. and Forum:Edit Notices; Card Rulings, you can send a request through Special:Contact. If not, you can revisit or start a new forum to check before sending the request. If you'd rather I did it, let me know. -- Deltaneos (talk) 20:22, January 9, 2012 (UTC)
I see. There wasn't anyone against it, so that should have been enough, without having to make a forth forum about it.
I'm not very familiar with the process, so please send the request. -Falzar FZ- (talk page|useful stuff) 01:30, January 10, 2012 (UTC)
So, any progress? -Falzar FZ- (talk page|useful stuff) 14:47, January 27, 2012 (UTC)
Sorry about putting it off for so long. I've sent out a formal request now. -- Deltaneos (talk) 17:05, January 27, 2012 (UTC)
It's been done now. -- Deltaneos (talk) 22:31, January 30, 2012 (UTC)
Yay, thanks. -Falzar FZ- (talk page|useful stuff) 22:40, January 30, 2012 (UTC)

Happy New Year!

Hey Delta! It's me, Runer5h, wishing you a happy new year... and presenting to you a new featured card article. This one's for Rescue Rabbit. Would you mind terribly if I put it on the main page? Runer5h (talkcontribs) 05:32, January 2, 2012 (UTC)Runer5h

 • I've also said it's cool, too, since I've been unable to write one for the past few months.--YamiWheeler (talkcontribs) 05:35, January 2, 2012 (UTC)

I agree witn user:Heat-Gripper Archfiend. Ever since, Raiko has been a nuisance to the chst. He fights with anyone he doesn't deem "Mature". Weird appearances

Hey Delt, can you tell Falzar and me what's going on with the card appearances for Doppel-ganger, Jellome, and Mameda (specifically, why they list Volume 3 and whether that's actually necessary)? ディノ千?!? · ☎ Dinoguy1000 01:21, January 5, 2012 (UTC)

Volume 3 had a "Duel Monsters Dice Game". Initially it was thought that the three of them, "Goose-Faced Ogre", "Gyaogan" and "Lion" (and this unnamed) only appeared there, but they all also have appearances in the regular chapters. As for whether it's necessary to list them as an appearance, I don't think it's too important. -- Deltaneos (talk) 17:58, January 5, 2012 (UTC)
In that case, the appearances can be left in; ignores any manually-formatted links in its input (at least, while SMW is on), so the volume links will pass through untouched. ディノ千?!? · ☎ Dinoguy1000 19:12, January 5, 2012 (UTC)
Also, please check Juragedo. Before edit = red link, after edit = different red link. Which is it, or both fake? -Falzar FZ- (talk page|useful stuff) 10:55, January 9, 2012 (UTC)
I assume you're talking about "Yu-Gi-Oh! - Chapter 266" being changed to "Yu-Gi-Oh! - Duel 266"? The "Duel" link is the right one for chapter articles from the first YGO manga series, but looking at the chapter listing, I think it should actually list chapter 207 in the "manga_d" parameter. ディノ千?!? · ☎ Dinoguy1000 19:01, January 9, 2012 (UTC)

Template:Card lists

Do you have any comments on the first three main sections of Card lists after I updated it (e.g. terms that should be added, removed, or moved around), or does everything look fine for me to make and deploy versions of Attribute card list/Type card list/Archetype card list on those lists?

Also, is the term "monster type"/"type of monster" official in any way like the term "card type"/"type of card" is, and if not, is there any reason we couldn't call them "monster properties" instead, as a parallel to Spell and Trap Card properties? ディノ千?!? · ☎ Dinoguy1000 01:25, January 5, 2012 (UTC)

I'm pretty sure there aren't any non-Spell/Trap Equip cards. Do you plan on adding all ~200 archetype/series to the template?
No, I don't thing "Monster Type" or any of its variations are officially used for Toon, Spirit, Gemini etc. Same with "Card Type" for Normal, Effect, Ritual, etc. I wish the rulebook would give them names (and include more of the advanced gameplay rulings). The closest I can find to such a name in the rulebook is it saying Some monsters with specific abilities will have additional information here too, next to their Type. ATEMVEGETA might know if any of the individual card rulings mention a name for the either group. Falzar might know if any of the recent video games' card filters give them names. -- Deltaneos (talk) 19:22, January 5, 2012 (UTC)
Okay, I'll remove that.
I really don't know, to be honest; a few of the archetype lists have been included in the template since its creation. An automatic listing of them would probably be doable with SMW, but that's a rather fragile solution, and I think the bigger issue is just the sheer number of the lists. =/
I'll ask them to drop by and have a look. ディノ千?!? · ☎ Dinoguy1000 19:32, January 5, 2012 (UTC)
Also, before I forget: should I go ahead and move the various monster type pages/lists so "monster" is lowercased? ディノ千?!? · ☎ Dinoguy1000 19:34, January 5, 2012 (UTC)
Yeah, I think we should rename those pages. CardTable2 is also currently set to point to the uppercase "m" titles. -- Deltaneos (talk) 20:48, January 5, 2012 (UTC)
The redirects should stay indefinitely, so we don't have to be in any particular hurry to update CardTable2... ディノ千?!? · ☎ Dinoguy1000 20:54, January 5, 2012 (UTC)
In WC11, in the "Tutorial" section, "Introduction to Dueling Rules", under "Special Cards 2", it talks about "Toon Monsters", "Union Monsters", "Spirit Monsters", "Gemini monster", "Spell Counters" and "LV Monster". For the record, "Special Cards 1" talks about "Trap Monsters", "Tokens" and cards which use die and coins. The Sort function doesn't seem to have anything to group those cards.
In WC09 and WC10, "Glossary", under "Various Effects", there is "LV Monsters", "Spirit Monster", "Toon Mnster", "Union Monster", "Penetration", "Spell Counter", "Trap Monster", "Gemini Monster" and "Speed Counter". The "Tutorial" is the same as WC11.
WC08 is the last WC game to have a filter for those monsters in the deck building section. But it's just a general filter. WC07 and Spirit Caller are similar.
GX Card Almanac and Duel Academy doesn't have filters for those monsters.
TF05's general filter "Key Search" has those types, amoung a few other things like "Deck destruction", "Restrict Attack", "Get Control". The rest are like WC11.
-Falzar FZ- (talk page|useful stuff) 23:07, January 5, 2012 (UTC)

There are no standard official names for those categories. You may find them with many different names. In my opinion these should be the most appropriate names:

ATEMVEGETA (Talk) 01:29, January 6, 2012 (UTC)

"Card type", "Property" (what you've listed as Spell and Trap Card Types), "Type", and "Attribute" are all already official terms. Instead of "Monster Effect Type", I would suggest the less ambiguous/confusing "Effect Monster Type" (though I also have to ask whether all such Monster Cards are, in fact, Effect Monsters... seems to me like there're a few that aren't, but I can't think of them ATM). ディノ千?!? · ☎ Dinoguy1000 07:14, January 6, 2012 (UTC)
I can't think of any specific monsters that aren't Effect Monsters that have sub-types, but I know there are Tuners that do meet that criteria. Cheesedude (talkcontribs) 07:41, January 6, 2012 (UTC)
I see the point! Then what about "Monster sub-Type", or only "sub-Type" (as we have only "Type" instead of "Monster Type"). But in that case there should be...: Effect, Fusion, Gemini, Ritual, Spirit, Synchro, Toon, Tuner, Union, Xyz ...since all those are sub-Types of Monster Cards, next to the original Type. ATEMVEGETA (Talk) 11:16, January 6, 2012 (UTC)
Well, there is already an implicit differentiation between different-frame-color monster types (Normal, Effect, Fusion, Ritual, Synchro, Xyz) and the other types (Toon, Spirit, Union, Gemini, Tuner) by way of the capitalization of "monster" in card effects: the former always use a capital "M" ("Normal Monster, Effect Monster...), whereas the latter always lowercase (Toon monster, Spirit monster...). This suggests that we should try to have different terms for the two groups. However, official terminology also paints us into a corner: if we use "Monster sub-Type" (and, to a lesser extent, even "Monster sub-type"), that implies that the group consists of subtypes of Monster Types, when in reality it has very little to do with them. If, though, we use "Monster [Card] type" for different-frame-color types, and "Monster [Card] sub-type" for the other types, that could possibly work...
@Cheesedude: Duh, we have SMW! I'm such an idiot sometimes! =D -
ディノ千?!? · ☎ Dinoguy1000 18:46, January 6, 2012 (UTC)
Formula Synchron, etc are Effect Monsters. The search should be:

.
Showing that all the cards that are Non-Effect Monsters that have Sub-Types are Normal Monsters.
"Sub-Types" is also probably the most common term used for those I think (in forums at least). -Falzar FZ- (talk page|useful stuff) 23:23, January 6, 2012 (UTC)

Konami messed things up with the way they wrote those sub-Types.

Before the release of the Tuner Normal Monsters, all the others (Toon, Gemini, Union, ect) were considered categories of "Effects". Thus why they are replacing the "Effect" in the Type. This implies that Toon monsters, ect, are Effect Monsters by default. They are written as "Spellcaster / Toon" and not as "Spellcaster / Effect / Toon".

"Tuners" are replacing the "Effect" in the Type as well, so they are in the same category with the others. So a Tuner monster should be Effect Monster by default as well, but after Konami released Normal Tuner Monsters it created a confusion, since Normal Tuner Monsters are not considered Effect Monsters. If they were written as "Spellcaster / Effect / Tuner" there wouldn't be a problem, but since they are not we can only consider the Normal Tuner Monsters as exceptions to the rule.

Now about naming those groups, in your scenario ("Monster [Card] type" and "Monster [Card] sub-type") where you should add the "Effect Monsters"? What about if we give them names ignoring the sub-type thing?:

 • "Monster Kinds" (Normal, Effect, Fusion, Ritual, Synchro, Xyz)
 • "Special Abilities" (Toon, Spirit, Union, Gemini, Tuner)

That way both Effect Monsters (the brown-frame cards) and Normal Monsters (the yellow-frame cards) can have the Tuner ability. Maybe some better names (besides the sub-type thing)?

ATEMVEGETA (Talk) 02:10, January 8, 2012 (UTC)

Without a doubt, they did. I'd love if they gave these terms an official name, just so we wouldn't have to sit around scratching our heads like we're doing now. =P
I agree with you there wholeheartedly, but that's only part of the picture. "Effect" is not just implied on Toon, Gemini, etc. cards, but is also used together with Fusion, Synchro, etc (so you can have, e.g. a Spellcaster/Synchro/Tuner Monster that is also an implied Effect Monster). Considering this, there are really three tiers under discussion here: Normal and Effect; Fusion, Ritual, Synchro, and Xyz; and Toon, Spirit, Union, Gemini, and Tuner. Monster Cards seem to be able to have just about any combination of terms from between tiers (there are plenty of combinations we haven't seen, but there doesn't seem to be much arguing against their legitimacy), but no monster has more than one term from any given tier. At the end of the day, though, it's far simpler to just treat [Normal, Effect, Fusion, Ritual, Synchro, Xyz] and [Toon, Spirit, Union, Gemini, Tuner] as the only two groups worth considering, and to treat them entirely separately - this is complicated enough as is, without us adding still more layers needlessly.
This allows us to have Normal and Effect Tuner Monsters without any problems at all, and also provides for the possibility that future monsters may be released as [Normal/Fusion/Ritual/Synchro/Xyz] [Toon/Spirit/Union/Gemini] Monsters (as unlikely as that may be)... And all of this leads back to just using the terms "Monster [Card] type" and "Monster [Card] sub-type" (just to be clear, BTW, "[Card]" is meant to show that we may or may not include the word "Card" in the terms; I'm not sure which I prefer more ATM). I can't say I'm entirely satisfied with the names either, but they're the best I can come up with in light of everything else going on and the official terminology we have to work around. ディノ千?!? · ☎ Dinoguy1000 05:11, January 8, 2012 (UTC)
We are saying more-or-less the same thing. I'm saying that Effect Monsters are every monster with "/Effect" in its Type, and those that have the "/Effect" replaced with something else like "/Toon", "/Spirit", "/Tuner", with the exception of the Normal Tuner Monsters which the "/Tuner" in their Type does not replace something. Synchro, Fusion, ect monsters with effects do have the "/Effect" in their type. So those are Effect Monsters too. If they are also a Tuner, ect, monster then they replace the "/Effect" with "/Tuner" (Spellcaster/Synchro/Tuner). So those are Effect Monsters as well.
About the naming, it doesn't really matter what it'll be. Just to be a good one ;)
I agree to give them the "Monster [Card] type" and "Monster [Card] sub-type". Personally I prefer "Monster Card type" and "Monster sub-type".
ATEMVEGETA (Talk) 09:50, January 8, 2012 (UTC)
I was actually intending to either include or omit "Card" in both terms, if they're what we went with; if we include it in only one, I think we could get away with "Monster Card type" for the first group, and "Monster type" for the second. What do you think? ディノ千?!? · ☎ Dinoguy1000 18:08, January 8, 2012 (UTC)

I would say it was just meant to be temporary, until an official term was found/announced or we finally just sat down and hashed out an in-house term, because the category needed to be called *something* in the meantime (though you should correct me if I'm wrong, Delt =) ). ディノ千?!? · ☎ Dinoguy1000 19:49, January 8, 2012 (UTC)
Dark Synchros and Tokens are in the same class as Armor and Dark Tuner? Wouldn't they be in the same class as Toon, Spirit etc. or am I overlooking something?
I had forgotten I had used that name for that category. "type" + "sub type" and "type" + "secondary type" both sound fine to me.
Let's not forget to mention Limit Over Accel Synchro Monsters? You could see it like some of the subtypes in that it replaces the word "Synchro" like how they replaced "Effect" (when applicable). You could also see it as a different type like Fusion, Dark Syncho etc. except it doesn't get a new colour. -- Deltaneos (talk) 20:25, January 8, 2012 (UTC)
We were saying that Armor and Dark Tuner monsters would be included in the second group with Toon et al., and I added that Dark Tuner and Token Monsters would be included in the first group with Normal Monsters et al., though I can see how that may not be immediately obvious. =/
I like "sub-type" because it's shorter, but "seconddary type" does have a certain ring to it as well... Hrmn... =/
I wasn't sure just what to do with Limit Over Accel Synchros... To be honest, I thought it was basically the same as Accel Synchro and Delta Accel Synchro (and any others I may be forgetting); just an anime-only term for Synchros that have specific Synchro Summoning requirements... Was I wrong, then? ディノ千?!? · ☎ Dinoguy1000 03:53, January 9, 2012 (UTC)
Accel and Delta Accel are indeed just terms used by characters for certain types of Synchro Monsters. In the anime, unlike the other two, Limit Over Accel is actually printed on the cards themselves. It says [Dragon/Limit Over Accel Synchro/Effect] for example, where other Synchro Monsters, including Accel and Delta Accel would say [Dragon/Synchro/Effect]. -- Deltaneos (talk) 20:28, January 9, 2012 (UTC)
All right, then yeah, Limit Over Accel should be included as well.
Since we're including various other anime/manga card and monster types that, when actually released, were just changed to one of the "standard" types, should we include the Yokai Monsters as well (and are there any others that we've overlooked)? ディノ千?!? · ☎ Dinoguy1000 21:03, January 9, 2012 (UTC)
(Reset indent): I haven't read much of the GX manga, but as far as I know they're very vague about what kind of group Yokai monsters are. I think the most popular one is that they're like Toon, Armor and Spirit monsters. -- Deltaneos (talk) 21:36, January 9, 2012 (UTC)
It's not so much vague as outright contradicty. There's a support card that seems to word it as if they're a Type (like Fiend), another that words it as if there's a secondary monster card type (like Toon) and several others that word it as if its an archetype. I'll have to look up exactly what cards word it which way. Maybe we can what categorize is used latest in the manga (or even which one is used the most time. Cheesedude (talkcontribs) 21:56, January 9, 2012 (UTC)
Ok, of the support cards for Yokai that have jpmangalores on their pages, "Haunted Shrine" is the only one that has the text for Type (族) in its lore. That was also a card from the first appearance of the Yokai, so I think we can rule out it being a Type.
According to our article on Yokai "Onagakokuba" has them as an archetype and "Mysterious Mysteries" has then as a sub-type. Both of these appeared in the same manga chapter.
I don't know how archetype and sub-type would look in jplores, so I can't go through and check those to see which has more.
"Gozuki", "Daidarabotchi" and "Night Parade of One Hundred Demons" have no listed jpmangalores, though they are at least partially visible on the card images we do have of them. Cheesedude (talkcontribs) 22:19, January 9, 2012 (UTC)
@somewhere above: WC10 also groups "Tuner" with "Synchro Monster", "Fusion Monster", etc. But that would be almost equally problematic as there are currently 3 cards that are Tuners and are Effect Monsters without "/Effect" written on it. Compared to the 4 Tuners that are Normal Monsters.

Mantis and Kamakiri

Do you have the English edition of chapter 12 of Yu-Gi-Oh! R? "Mantis Egg" currently lists itself as support for "Mantis" and "Kamakiri" archetypes. Is that actually what the text says? From what I can tell, "Flying Kamakiri 2" is actually a "Mantis" monster, while the rest of the "Kamakiri" monsters are not related at all. Cheesedude (talkcontribs) 04:01, January 7, 2012 (UTC)

A transcription of the Japanese lore of "Mantis Egg" wouldn't hurt either. ;) ディノ千?!? · ☎ Dinoguy1000 04:42, January 7, 2012 (UTC)
I don't have that chapter, but the article mentioned "Kamakiri" monsters since its creation, which predates the English Yu-Gi-Oh! R. Not mentioned on the "Kamakiri" article is the "Baby Mantis Token" which "Mantis Egg" Summons. It's called "Baby Kamakiri Token" in the Japanese version. My guess is "Mantis Egg" works with "Mantis" and "Kamikiri" monsters in the Japanese version. Since the English version had already released monsters with "Kamikiri" in their name which shouldn't be affected, they tried to rectify this by renaming the affected "Kamikiri" monsters to "Mantis" and saying it only affects "Mantis" monsters. -- Deltaneos (talk) 16:58, January 7, 2012 (UTC)
Interesting. Should we redirect "Mantis" to Kamakiri" and remove the non-affected members from the Kamakiri archetype then? Or vice-versa, I suppose? Cheesedude (talkcontribs) 17:43, January 7, 2012 (UTC)
I don't know if my guess is right. Looking the image, I can see "カマキリ" (Kamakiri) at the start of the lore, but not "マンティス" (Mantis). I'm sure III can still transcribe it and we'll probably figure it out from there. -- Deltaneos (talk) 00:39, January 8, 2012 (UTC)
Okay, III's provided the transcription and it mentions "カマキリ" (Kamakiri), but not "マンティス" (Mantis). The "Mantis" part must have been added on the wiki because Cino didn't have any "Kamikiri" cards when he activated it. He just had "Praying Mantis". It looks like either the Japanese manga messed-up or by "Kamikiri monsters" it meant something vague like the flying monsters mentioned on "Catapult" and the forest category monsters mentioned in "Deep Forest". -- Deltaneos (talk) 23:57, January 8, 2012 (UTC)

Legal name?

Recently I been playing with Yu-Gi-Oh! Nightmare Troubadour due to the request of Guardmaster and I notice that a few characters didn't have the name that we have in this site. Theses are the characters, Panik, Nesbitt, and Lector.

Panik is suppose to be PaniK, Nesbitt is suppose to be Nezbitt, and Lector is suppose to be Leichter.

So I went to [1], because on the day of December 9, 2011 in which Cheesedude notice we didn't have a source for the name of Grerimo, so I went to this site and found his name to be Gurimo.

I use the same method and just as I thought. The name is indeed correct. Panik is PaniK, Nesbitt is Nezbitt, and Lector is Leichter.

Before these change, I went to see if we need to change more name.

Jean Claude Magnum → Jean-Claude Magnum
Sacred Stone of Ojhat → Relief of Ujat
Gorlag → Balrog
The Great Leviathan → Grand Dragon Leviathan
Divine Serpent → Divine Serpent Geh
Knight of Destiny → Timaeus the Knight of Destiny

I like to ask, should we change these names or leave it alone? WinterNightmare (talkcontribs) 21:00, January 7, 2012 (UTC)

 • I've been meaning to rename Lector to Leichter, but have been putting it off for what must be years at this stage. I didn't know about the others. I've no problem with the human character articles being renamed. It's spellings that are officially used VS spellings that haven't been officially used.
 • I'm not certain about "Relief of Ujat", "Balrog" or "Grand Dragon Leviathan". The English anime definitely didn't use those names and is normally more of a canonical source for dub info than the website.
 • We might be able to get away with "Divine Serpent Geh" and "Timaeus the Knight of Destiny". Like with "The Creator God of Light, Horakhty", who is only referred to as "Creator of Light" in the English anime. We can say they just weren't being referred to by their full names like how characters often give shortened versions of cards' names.
Don't take my opinions as word of God, but I think we really should go for the renames addressed in the first bullet. The second and third, I'm not sure about. 'Wouldn't mind if anyone else wanted to give their thoughts on what they think should be done. -- Deltaneos (talk) 00:20, January 8, 2012 (UTC)

The Doma arc ones are quite interesting. Each of them are more in line with their Japanese names, which is odd. I'm not sure if we should move the articles or not, but at the least, we should use "altname" for them. Cheesedude (talkcontribs) 01:42, January 8, 2012 (UTC)

Spell Check

I don't think original Internet E. have them but I used Chrome Site, and it can automatic notice the misspell once I left the word alone. This may be good advice for him to upload if permission. --FredCat 23:08, January 13, 2012 (UTC)

I'm aware Chrome has an automatic spell check. What are you asking for permission to upload? -- Deltaneos (talk) 23:24, January 13, 2012 (UTC)
Parents part; that's always issue if they don't approved that technology into Shard's computer. So all we should do to let Shard know about this and wait for his parents' reasons. If he's living on his own, then that's no problem. Btw, take a look in Falzar's Talk Page, Shard started to plan something different. --FredCat 23:29, January 13, 2012 (UTC)

Rank 1 Conflict

That made a sense, but Manga one ain- I mean, isn't show up at all, I do believe that "Baby Tiragon" made his appearance there. --FredCat 23:41, January 14, 2012 (UTC)

Anyone can make a request. However the result is going to be down to evidence that the user has done a lot of work to improve the site and evidence that they can be trusted with the extra access. With very few edits outside the user talk and forum namespaces, I don't think a request a likely to succeed. I wouldn't advise making a request when you've been blocked recently. You'd need more time to show people you're past it. -- Deltaneos (talk) 23:03, January 15, 2012 (UTC)

Orbitals.

Shouldn't there be articles on the all the orbitals, not just Orbital 7? Shardsilver (talkcontribs) 19:14, January 16, 2012 (UTC)

I haven't seen that far into ZEXAL to know for sure, but if there are other Orbital characters that we're given some kind of information about, I would say so. -- Deltaneos (talk) 19:18, January 16, 2012 (UTC)
Yeah, we should have articles for Orbital 5 and Orbital 6. No one bothered to create them. Cheesedude (talkcontribs) 20:01, January 16, 2012 (UTC)
How should we create them? Should we just include those two as one article since not much is known about them, or would they work as separate articles? Shardsilver (talkcontribs) 15:46, January 18, 2012 (UTC)
They can have their own pages, just flag them as stubs so they can be improved in the future. I've been planning to make pages for them for months, but haven't actually bothered to do so yet. I assumed someone else would have by now. Golden Key (talkcontribs) 16:31, January 18, 2012 (UTC)
Right. Just give them each their own article. They may appear again in the future, after all.
I've been planning the same thing. I never created them back when the episode aired because I got pissy over the rest of the episode. It seems that every time I do almost get around to creating them, ZEXAL does something else to piss me off. Monday's episode did not help, I'll say that. Cheesedude (talkcontribs) 18:22, January 18, 2012 (UTC)
Tell me about it, the last 6 minutes of episode 24 made me super ticked off (seriously, it was over the top ridicules and just stupid). Episode 39 was a big waste of time. Shardsilver (talkcontribs) 18:41, January 18, 2012 (UTC)

Shard's Question.

This has been eating at me for a few weeks now, but is it possible for an Admin to give a registered user one of the Admin tools (I ask, because from what I hear, registered users can be given a tool or two without actually becoming an Admin. The only tool I actually want to use is the delete tool. The block tool and the rest, I don't think I'm responsible enough for yet)? Shardsilver (talkcontribs) 15:23, January 18, 2012 (UTC)

The only tool I am aware of; Moving the Article and Edit them... they are all common for registered users. Delete, lockdown, block, etc. are Admins' responsible. --FredCat 16:11, January 18, 2012 (UTC)
Probably. By the way, what do you think of my Tagforce Synchron Decklist Fred? Shardsilver (talkcontribs) 16:43, January 18, 2012 (UTC)
Individual access rights can't be given out unless a specific group with that right exists. You can see them all here. Chatmoderator and rollback are the only admin abilites that can be given out individually on this site. -- Deltaneos (talk) 17:22, January 18, 2012 (UTC)

I had been warning him thrice and again, he still don't believe that he "violated" the law of Wikia. Can you please give him some reasons and maybe at least ban him for a day, at least to reduce the argument... --FredCat 23:29, January 19, 2012 (UTC)

It's alright now, as Falzar went and took care of him. So forgive me for my little harsh behavior (such as curse words in that user's talk page). --FredCat 10:48, January 20, 2012 (UTC)

Rulings issue

The question is, when an xyz monster detaches an xyz material while macro cosmos is on the field, does the material go to the grave or get banished? Because the cost is to send to graveyard and it gets confusing.--Hyuga (talkcontribs) 19:17, January 23, 2012 (UTC)

It's been answered; Xyz Material sent from the Xyz Monster to the Graveyard, no matter if either Macro Cosmos or Dimensional Fissure are activated or not. --FredCat 19:22, January 23, 2012 (UTC)
FredCat, have you seen this question in the rulings forum before? If so, could you link to it? It'd be interesting to see it. -- Deltaneos (talk) 19:26, January 23, 2012 (UTC)
Xyz Material - I don't see anywhere in Forum... but no matter what; Xyz Materials are not Monsters when they are being "Xyz Material" so they just detached to the Graveyard or at least sent to the Graveyard if Xyz Monster is destroyed/banished. --FredCat 19:29, January 23, 2012 (UTC)
Oh I see. that makes sense. That would apply to "Dimensional Fissure", since the cards have to be monsters to be banished and Xyz Material aren't monsters while they're attached. But "Macro Cosmos" banishes all cards and the Xyz Material article says that Xyz Material are treated as cards in the TCG, but not in the OCG. Wouldn't that mean they go to the Graveyard when "Macro Cosmos" is active in the OCG, but not the TCG? -- Deltaneos (talk) 19:37, January 23, 2012 (UTC)
That's oddly, but at least I put the forum up so anyone can go ahead and discussion from there... Forum:Xyz Materials Conflict is the one I created. Blocked because there are a few other reasons apart from the inappropriate username.
-Falzar FZ- (talk page|useful stuff) 05:51, January 27, 2012 (UTC)

Two quick questions

 1. Would uploading more images like File:ORCS-SP-Poster.jpg violate copyrights? I've left them with their original resolution because they are advertisement posters after all.
 2. There's a thing on wikipedia that says Usernames that are designed to impersonate or attack legitimate users will be blocked indefinitely (with account creation enabled) but what about impersonating other people (not users), like User:JuliaHedgberg? regardless of contributions (though this user has added an incorrect ruling while impersonating a high ranked Konami judge). -Falzar FZ- (talk page|useful stuff) 14:47, January 27, 2012 (UTC)
 1. I'm sure they'd be fine. 'Might be worth adding the fair use tags to be safe.
 2. Was the account definitely made to pretend to be her? If so, I'd say block it. It's really the same thing as impersonating another user if you look at on a bigger scale; the Yu-Gi-Oh! internet community rather than just the wiki. -- Deltaneos (talk) 15:25, January 27, 2012 (UTC)
2) Pretty much definitely not the Julia that is the judge. Her writing style isn't like that and she would not make such a novice mistake.
Since it's not her, then, the chances of another person having that same name IRL and intend on adding incorrect rulings is extremely low.
So, it should be definite enough to block the account. -Falzar FZ- (talk page|useful stuff) 00:56, January 28, 2012 (UTC)
I didn't think it might be her. I meant are they using the name to pretend to be her, rather than using it because they're a fan of hers, or some reason like that, like how you're not pretending to be Falzar. But I agree the former is more likely in this case. -- Deltaneos (talk) 01:08, January 28, 2012 (UTC)

A word about Duel articles

I see you've put up quite a few of them. I surprised myself by not doing the same. For whatever reason, they seem redundant.

I think there's a lot more reason to use them for Duels than span multiple episodes/chapters, since seeing the whole Duel in one place is useful.

Ideally, I'd like to see Duel articles that are complete accompanied by episode articles that are complete. Then we have the events listed in two different styles, one of them in-universe and one of them out-of-universe.

So I have a request. Let's collaborate. The next time you plan to do a Duel article for a Duel that does indeed span multiple episodes, let me know. I would like to go ahead and expand the episode articles for that Duel while you write the Duel article. I'd really like to see how having both complete is going to look for a big, important Duel, as looking through Category:Duels seems to indicate that there isn't a case where both are done yet. Thanks, Cheesedude (talkcontribs) 19:23, January 27, 2012 (UTC)

Okay, cool. I'll let you know next time. Thanks. -- Deltaneos (talk) 20:11, January 27, 2012 (UTC)
