BAM Acquisition

Seeing you working on the BAM Acquisition stuff gave me a thought: why don't we incorporate the set info stuff directly into the table for other media? That way, we reduce the tab overhead by one set of tabs, and the set info is right there when someone's looking at the info for a given language/region release of a given version of a card. If we go this route, I'm thinking the best presentation would probably be in a separate cell at the bottom of the table, spanning both columns of the table; I can whip up a quick sandbox example if you want. ディノ千?!? · ☎ Dinoguy1000 23:09, January 2, 2013 (UTC)

Putting the set information directly into the card table? The sets table would only be 434px wide in that case. It would be very squashed for five columns; "Release", "Number", "Set", "Language name" and "Rarity". Putting the sets outside the table was to fix one of the problems with CardTable2, where we have a lot of stuff squashed in the right column, while the left column is completely empty after a point.
Putting the sets below the table, but inside the first set of tabs was done in an earlier draft. I wasn't too keen on needing to change the language of the card to see what sets it was printed in in that language and I thought it made it less obvious that there were more different sets in other languages. That's why the Japanese sets are also in the English tab on that example; they were too important to be missed and no sets would be shown if the card had only been released in Japanese. Set language and card language aren't directly related in a few cases, such as the Chinese and Japanese-English cards. -- Deltaneos (talk) 23:34, January 2, 2013 (UTC)
My idea would have the set information in the table, but in a new row beneath the image and other information, spanning the full width of the table (with appropriate padding, of course).
Right, I didn't think about any of that. There are, of course, ways we could get around that, but I think they'd all be less satisfactory then simply keeping the set information separate as it currently is. ディノ千?!? · ☎ Dinoguy1000 00:10, January 3, 2013 (UTC)

Color code

Remember that you give me "less characteristic" for my signature a while ago? I would like to know how to making my name more grey-color, it's because of one admin in Wikitord reminded me to reconsidering the color choice due to the default skin (New Wikia Skin) being darker. Just 3 number and that's all I like to ask. --iFredCat 02:30, January 7, 2013 (UTC)

You can replace the instances of "#000" in your current signature with any of the following for a shade of grey.
 • #111
 • #222
 • #333
 • #444
 • #555
 • #666
 • #777
 • #888
 • #999
 • #AAA
 • #BBB
 • #CCC
 • #DDD
 • #EEE
I think that's all the three character pure grey shades. You can find more six character colour codes at wikipedia:Variations of gray. If you don't want any of them, you can use http://www.w3schools.com/tags/ref_colorpicker.asp to find your own colour. -- Deltaneos (talk) 21:10, January 7, 2013 (UTC)
Look like it's color code 888 is the right one for me to insert in, thank you. --iFredCat 21:15, January 7, 2013 (UTC)

"Drake"

Typing in "Drake" in the search box leads the (smart function?) to pull up "Duos Dragon". How does that relate to it? I was expecting to find "Kurama", which doesn't even appear on the "smart function." On a side note, any idea why Konami named it "Kurama" instead of something sounding like "Drake"? --UltimateKuriboh (talkcontribs) 02:26, January 8, 2013 (UTC)

The smart function is the autocomplete, I assume? Currently, the only pages on the wiki beginning with "Drake" are "Drake Knight" and "Drake Knight Duos Dragon". The autocomplete in the default skin gives you the name of the redirect target instead of the redirect itself. Creating "Drake" as a redirect to "Kurama" should fix your problem.
In the early sets, there wasn't an awful lot of consistency in how Japanese cards got renamed in the English version. This is my best guess, which could be totally wrong; One thing they seemed to like doing is if a card's Japanese name uses English words, they would get the English name to use Japanese words. e.g. "Hitotsu-Me Giant" and "Raigeki". This card is a bird. Its Japanese name "Drake" seems to come from the English word "drake", which among other things means male duck, a bird. "Kurama" seems to come from Mount Kurama, a mountain in Japan, associated with tengu, mythological birds. -- Deltaneos (talk) 20:22, January 8, 2013 (UTC)

Clock

Hey Delta, sorry to be a bother, but Clock just treated Nexus (a little bit vulgar aswell.) He isn't going to learn from this. What should happen? Happy New Year btw! --User:BROOKLYN RAGE! 07:45, January 9, 2013 (UTC)

Didn't you mean by "threatened"? I know he's still has lot to learn to living in real world life. --iFredCat 13:18, January 9, 2013 (UTC)
Thanks and Dinoguy has taken care of the situation now. -- Deltaneos (talk) 21:04, January 9, 2013 (UTC)

Flag of Brazil

Hello, i'd like you insert a new flag of brazil. Because I want to insert a new description on the cards. Thanks.Daniellemos.br (talkcontribs) 20:12, January 9, 2013 (UTC)

Do you mean you want to be able to add Brazilian Portuguese names and lores to card pages separate from their (European) Portuguese names and lores? -- Deltaneos (talk) 21:07, January 9, 2013 (UTC)

Hi. Unfortunately, it's too late for that. Dinoguy has already banned you indefinitely because you made this comment after your last ban. You did have plenty of chances to stop bothering other users, which you passed and this is the consequence. I'm sorry it had to come to this. Unfortunately your chances of being unbanned are slim at this point. If you ever want a chance in the distant future, you need to stop bypassing blocks with alternate IPs (including using them to post messages such as the above on my talk page) and let go of obsessively trying to contact people to plead to be unbanned. It's only made things worse for you so far. You're not a bad guy, and people had seen that side of you before you kept bringing up your NAC ban. If you let go of your obsessions, things might someday go back to how they were before. -- Deltaneos (talk) 21:04, January 9, 2013 (UTC)
Just to be absolutely clear, I would have indefinitely banned you after a comment like that even if you were not already banned; threatening violence or assault to others is utterly inexcusable (and justifies police action, if anyone chooses to report it) and the wiki will not serve as a conduit for such threats. ディノ千?!? · ☎ Dinoguy1000 23:03, January 9, 2013 (UTC)
*facepaw* D'oh, such impatience and lesser ignorance user... I felt sorry for him being end up in this hard situation. I am glad that you taught me a hard lesson in the past, Delta... otherwise, I am dying as hardass... er, burro and all that. --iFredCat 23:10, January 9, 2013 (UTC)
I, for one, was baffled by your sudden threatening nature. Up until then you were very polite (though clearly obsessive), but when talking to Nexus you pulled a 180 and threatened to cut his **** off. That's a Jekyll & Hyde-type personality; you're nice to the ones you like an very disrespectful to those who you don't. I had tried to be patient with, but you obviously needed to be blocked. You bypassing it is even more annoying, because it indicates you haven't learned a thing. Don't bother responding if/when you read this. You're done on this site. --Golden Key (talkcontribs) 23:20, January 9, 2013 (UTC)

Oh god, I got perma ban :( Dinoguy, at least you can decrease it to 2 months. This ban is like end of the world. I know that you are not ruthless DinoGuy. I just tryed to adding people on my MSN like common area of interest with me (this is not stalking because I never found watching yugioh zexal with me). So DinoGuy, if you little mercy, then plz decrase it into 2 month.--80.239.242.47 (talk) 09:19, January 10, 2013 (UTC)

I already explained the ban. Unfortunately, you've shown me no reason to believe that you will suddenly be a constructive editor if your ban is reduced or rescinded. At this point in time, I believe that your best course of action would be to move away from the Yu-Gi-Oh! fandom for a while: find something else that you can devote your attention to for a few months, clear your head, and consider talking to somebody you trust in real life about this whole thing (it's hardly my place to recommend this, I think, and I am not trying to say anything about your mental or emotional health or well-being, but you may want to try seeing a therapist; if nothing else, they would be able to provide an impartial, third-person perspective on this whole affair).
I still believe that if you can get your original hang-ups with Ark resolved, you could end up being a very good editor, but as things stand currently, you simply don't have a place as one here. ディノ千?!? · ☎ Dinoguy1000 10:55, January 10, 2013 (UTC)
Part of being banned is that you're not allowed to edit outside your talk page. Can you please stop using other IPs to get around this or they will be blocked. -- Deltaneos (talk) 20:24, January 10, 2013 (UTC)
C'mon, it's fun to have multiple things to do, rather than just have a hook on your mouth toward single, troublesome things. It's like you're think of your girl almost everyday and you gave her no chance to have a time on her own. Cut some slack on yourself and shut whatever Dino told you up above before start to think something different. Try Yoga or some 80-day-travel around the world would do you well. --iFredCat 21:25, January 10, 2013 (UTC)

He obviously understands how to get around blocks, so he could easily adopt a new, less obsessive identity. Yet he refuses to let things go. It's not like his Clock account even has that many positive edits. If he quietly made edits under a new name and stopped doing the things that keep getting him blocked, we'd have no problem. But he can't help himself, can he? --Golden Key (talkcontribs) 17:15, January 11, 2013 (UTC)
He uses Proxy to avoid his NAC blocks, so one would assume he's using that in this situation as well. --Spongebob456 (Talk) 17:24, January 11, 2013 (UTC)

Yes I'm using proxy for my aims. But no more, because I was accept from NAC. And since I'm accepted on NAC, I cant sending any post because of our agreement. And I had a lot positive edit as Golden Key said. And I have a new positive info to about 5d decade duel plus. But please unbanned me, and if I harassed to Ark, then you must banned me until end of the world and I wont be cry this time. But plz give me a last chance. --Mupoli (talkcontribs) 17:38, January 11, 2013 (UTC)

Hey what I should now? Can I get a chance? But if I will get a chance, I will never bother anyone again. İf I do so, then you can blocked me forever. Fix the Template back to normal!

I just checked this article, and it showed a little strange details, which was way different from the normal (before you changed the MediaWiki ccs or something). It's like as if the Factbox is broken - again! --iFredCat 00:02, January 12, 2013 (UTC)

The page looks fine to me. What exactly are you seeing? A mistake in CSS shouldn't cause pages to look like they do for that factbox breakage, unless it's very obscure CSS. -- Deltaneos (talk) 00:09, January 12, 2013 (UTC)
*panting* Must be "broken" when you added something that made them look different, then you created new one to revive them back to normal... It made my instinct went haywire. --iFredCat 00:11, January 12, 2013 (UTC)
Well, there are still gitches on the Wikia skin, as seen here and here. I'm not sure if this is exclusive to me however. --UltimateKuriboh (talkcontribs) 00:18, January 12, 2013 (UTC)
Those images are in New Wikia Skin, I am using Monobook if you don't know. You should thanked TwoTailedFox for show me how to get around with that skin. --iFredCat 00:23, January 12, 2013 (UTC)
That one is a CSS issue. Is it happening every time you view a page or just some times? It looks like something is stopping MediaWiki:Anime-common.css, MediaWiki:Wikipedia.css and MediaWiki:Cardtable.css being applied on those pages. It might be stopping all custom CSS. Did you notice if picture attribution was showing on the Kisara page? i.e. "Added by user name" in the image thumbnail captions? -- Deltaneos (talk) 12:38, January 12, 2013 (UTC)

My own "table" similar to those of "Errata table"

Is that alright if I go ahead and create my own table that look like Errata Table, omitted the image (due to copyright, as Dino Guy warned me when I first wrote Article about the logical behind banlist and why they were banning). If so, then I would like to copy down some of what you had done with the Errata table recently? If not, then explain the reason why I can't do this in that way? Those articles are already created, like long ago. I only wanna be sure to not tripping and turned the new article into some chaos article that can break the wikia in half. --iFredCat 23:13, January 17, 2013 (UTC)
Oh, do you mean your own table to use in your user pages? -- Deltaneos (talk) 01:58, January 18, 2013 (UTC)
Yes, sir. That's why I am here to ask if it's ok to put the "table" in use. --iFredCat 12:26, January 18, 2013 (UTC)
I don't see anything wrong with that. -- Deltaneos (talk) 18:07, January 18, 2013 (UTC)
Alright, one question - how do you remove the image display from this line: <td></td>: Just {image0} part? --iFredCat 00:26, January 19, 2013 (UTC)
Actually, never mind - it's a Thumb series, it can be easily omitted, sorry to bother ya. --iFredCat 00:28, January 19, 2013 (UTC)
Well, after a long and hard work, here's a result of what I am trying to do... I only asked for 2 columns - two boxes, not multiple boxes... All your work make it running smooth - must be comparing the expert to the amateur (I am!), it's very difficult to manage it. And once we get that article fixed, I will go make second one for "Previous and Current" set-up, the only part I can edit is the yellow words in those red boxes. --iFredCat 00:48, January 19, 2013 (UTC)
(Indent Reset)
Ok, so now on to put the "box" into the article, should I type down like this; {{User:FredCat100/Template:Errata_table_1| or something? If you disagreed, then what should I put instead of that address? --iFredCat 12:32, January 19, 2013 (UTC)
is probably the best option. Notice the colon (:) at the beginning. works too. -- Deltaneos (talk) 12:38, January 19, 2013 (UTC)
I see, all I had to put in after all name and lore at the end to complete the box. It's like all other Errata table. Thank you for all your helps, it's great to have you around ^_^ --iFredCat 12:43, January 19, 2013 (UTC)
Just notice a little error in your build-up, you put the name and type in reverse order while left the Lore in original order, did you just trying to be funny on me? --iFredCat 13:05, January 19, 2013 (UTC)
Oh, sorry. That was a mistake. I thought I did it the other way around. -- Deltaneos (talk) 13:07, January 19, 2013 (UTC)

Master Guide

When you can, could you make this page please? I assume it's on your to-do list, since you are making your way through these promo cards. I specifically ask this because there is a card storyline section that is given in the book, and I would like to make a page entitled "Master Guide 3/Card Storylines".
But this brings up another question: When providing a source/reference, should I cite the website where the translation came from, or not? I'm a bit iffy, since I'm worried about potential copyright issues, but I also want to show the readers that there is a verified source of the Japanese text (along with the English translation). The person who provided the translations is very reliable. --UltimateKuriboh (talkcontribs) 19:43, January 21, 2013 (UTC)

Yeah, I could make a page for that some time. Although I don't think there's much I could add, that anyone else couldn't.
Depending on how long the storyline information is, personally I'd either put the card storylines in a == Section == on a Master Guide 3 article or create a Master Guide 3 card storylines page. I'm not too fond of using subpages in the mainspace.
Normally, posting a translation of something without the original author's permission is copyright violation. But I'm not sure if that's the case this time. The translations I've seen online don't seem to bad. I'm not sure if they're word-for-word-ish or just the raw facts pulled out of paragraphs of text. You can't copyright facts, but you can copyright the way that they're presented. "Pikeru and Curran are twin sisters. Curran is the elder. Pikeru is the younger." are three facts. The way they've been presented is too basic for anyone to claim a copyright on. Most of the translations I've seen online are the facts presented in a trivial way. -- Deltaneos (talk) 21:39, January 21, 2013 (UTC)
We have the translator's permission, I asked him a while back if we could use it and then promptly forgot about the whole thing. I believe he included page numbers in the translation. For references, I think it would be better to just cite the Master Guide book itself, w/ page numbers included. We cite the Gospel of Truth, despite it being Japanese-only. We can do the same here. Cheesedude (talkcontribs) 00:42, January 22, 2013 (UTC)
Yeah, but what I thought Deltaneos was getting at here was the way of presenting the information provided by the Master Guide 3. I took the permission of the translator as a given, but are we allowed to publish it in the same format and the same way as the translator gave it (meaning the way Konami originally gave it)? I would hate to reword the narrative to plain-Jane facts, because it is entertaining and coolio otherwise. --UltimateKuriboh (talkcontribs) 01:46, January 22, 2013 (UTC)
I think his point was that the way its presented is in an such a way that you couldn't copyright the format, so we can also format our article that way. Cheesedude (talkcontribs) 17:44, January 22, 2013 (UTC)
Here's an example of how it's formatted as compared to the Master Guide. Also, when we create the page, should we add a notice template or something at the top of the page warning people not to edit it? Or would protection be necessary? --UltimateKuriboh (talkcontribs) 19:56, January 22, 2013 (UTC)
I think we could organize into paragraphs better and simply include TF versions of the card art if available. I don't think protection will be necessary, if someone has a better way to present it, that's fine. Cheesedude (talkcontribs) 20:02, January 22, 2013 (UTC)
Are you suggesting the notice/protection to prevent people posting copyright violations or prevent them posting their own interpretations of card storylines? I don't think the preventative measures are needed or if they are needed I think it's too soon to tell. We might not have any problems with users doing either of the two. -- Deltaneos (talk) 21:11, January 22, 2013 (UTC)

I don't know how to put down the reference for "Master Guide 3" on Master Guide 3 card storylines. It goes from pgs. 186 to 199. Would you mind putting it down there for me? --UltimateKuriboh (talkcontribs) 18:35, February 20, 2013 (UTC)

cite book is broken and there's a bit of work involved in fixing it. But a reference would probably look like this;
V Jump editorial department. Master Guide 3. Shueisha 2011. pp. 186–189. ISBN 4087823776.
V Jump editorial department. Master Guide 3. Shueisha 2011. pp. 186–189. ISBN 4087823776.
Or the more elaborate:
V Jump editorial department. 遊★戯★王オフィシャルカードゲームデュエルモンスターズMaster Guide 3 [Yu-Gi-Oh! Official Card Game: Duel Monsters Master Guide 3]. Shueisha 2011. pp. 186–189. ISBN 4087823776.

Is that the type of thing you were looking for? -- Deltaneos (talk) 19:32, February 20, 2013 (UTC)
Coolio. I think I'll take the latter option. Should I name the section "Citations", "References", or what? --UltimateKuriboh (talkcontribs) 23:18, February 20, 2013 (UTC)
I'd say references. -- Deltaneos (talk) 01:07, February 21, 2013 (UTC)

(edit conflict) It does in a vanilla MediaWiki installation, but Wikia have opted to restrict it to only VSTF and Wikia Utilities members (though I'm not sure what the latter group is). ディノ千?!? · ☎ Dinoguy1000 20:08, January 28, 2013 (UTC)
@Delta, I am wondering why those last two (Add to and Removed from) have their order switching around - what wrong with them being in correct order, like alphabet order? --iFredCat 20:10, January 28, 2013 (UTC)
Figured it might be a VSTF power here (I had looked it up on the MediaWiki site). I wish it wasn't restricted; it looks much easier than deleting a page and then restoring contents. The option to select all of a page's edits and then un-click the ones you don't want would also be easier than having to click each one manually. Thanks for the answer. --Golden Key (talkcontribs) 20:30, January 28, 2013 (UTC)
O'course, otherwise if we had that unrestricted list, we never be able to get hold on this wikia for more than a year after 15th Admins become registered. --iFredCat 20:35, January 28, 2013 (UTC)
Golden Key: unless I'm mistaken, the latest versions of MediaWiki also feature the ability for admins to selectively delete individual edits without having to delete the whole page (and here we can see some unfortunate naming: "RevisionDelete" does not actually delete the selected revisions - they're still present in the edit history for anyone viewing the page, though (depending on what was hidden) the editor's name, the edit summary, or the content of the diff are hidden - whereas the feature I mention here does). ディノ千?!? · ☎ Dinoguy1000 20:54, January 28, 2013 (UTC)

Penalty Game

I think we should put Kaiba's and Yagumo's Penalty Games in a separate section. The Penalty Games originally are executed by a Millennium Item holder, as far as I know (which sorta involves mystical powers and stuff). Kaiba's "Penalty Game" was an illusion produced by a machine, and Yagumo's was putting a spider into a guy heart (how? no idea). We should explain that those are not real Penalty Games, but variations/reproductions of the original ones. What do you think? LegendaryAsariUgetsu (talkcontribs) 00:08, February 1, 2013 (UTC)

The Gospel of Truth has a section on Penalty Games, including a list of people who have performed them. Kaiba is in the list, but has a darker background in his profile, which uses white-on-black text, while the others use black-on-white text. I assume this is because he was not a Millennium Item holder and his Penalty Games were artificial. The punishments that 777, Kokurano, Goro, the Junky Scorpion owner, Hirutani's gang, Thugs A, B and C and Mokuba received all appear in the book's list of Penalty Games, so genuine Penalty Games don't necessarily involve mystical powers. I don't know what makes them any different than Kaiba's. -- Deltaneos (talk) 00:30, February 1, 2013 (UTC)
But doesn't the fact that it was the only one written in white with a black background make it different from the others? The genuine Penalty Games are supernatural as far as I know. In the same way Titan, for example, used hypnosis and stuff to make a fake Shadow Game, Kaiba uses his richie powers to make an illusion with a machine, to sorta mimic the Penalty Game (if I'm not mistaken Yugi had used that vision of death on him previously, and he just mimicked it). I'm not saying that his isn't a Penalty Game, but his is artificial, different from the supernatural ones used by the Millennium Items holders. We could just separate the genuine ones from the artificial ones. LegendaryAsariUgetsu (talkcontribs) 00:37, February 1, 2013 (UTC)
I don't see any problem with doing that. -- Deltaneos (talk) 00:39, February 1, 2013 (UTC)

Comparing the "ho" (ホ) and "bo" (ボ) in the Astral name for "Utopia", it looks like the katakana is shrunk vertically, but keeps its horizontal width, before it's given its dakuten. MediaWiki doesn't seem to let you adjust the width and height of an image disproportionality, at least not without using external CSS.

RE: Audio Uploads

SALUTATIONS, DELTANEOS!!

Thanks for the great feedback with what I did. I sure as hell DON'T think you're being a pain at all regarding this--these copyright Nazis that satiate our free world are getting on my nerves (I know how this feels--I had to cancel THREE YouTube accounts over this past summer because a couple of FAN-MADE Anime Music Videos (AMVs) that I made for FUN were blocked due to said grounds being violated. I can't help it that I have that much of a LOVE for the series. It makes me wonder if TvTokyo is as anal about their material as Disney is about their stuff!!? >;[ )

Anyway, I just wanted to vent about that because it's just a shame. Other than that though, if abridging the audio tracks to <=30 seconds long is how it has to be on this Wikia, then I don't mean to seem lazy but as a senior college student with a lot of things I need to do, I'm formulating this in my head and I think that doing this for the hundreds of more tracks to go may be pretty time-consuming for me, especially since it seems that given that the audio tracks for the Sound Duels tracks pages is still pretty incomplete, it seems that not a lot of the users on this page has a lot of the tracks themselves.

To make the above discourse shorter and simpler, is there a way that I can email, upload or import a folder, containing all the .ogg Sound Duel files I have so that way, another user who has MUCH more time on their hands can access, download and shorten them? In my opinion, I don't think I'm the best person to tediously cut every audio file down. I apologize for a request like this but if this Copyright Nazi manner didn't apply here, I'd still be going onwards and upwards with the Sound Duel-related pages and .oggs.

Thanks!--ARCADIASSCHOLARLY 18:28, February 10, 2013 (UTC)

I noticed. A number of the images just disappeared. Their file pages still exist, but the image has disappeared from them. e.g. File:Symbol-Astral-ru.svg. A Few Things

First, I've created an enhanced version of the Yu-Gi-Oh! Duelist logo, but since the original image (YuGiOhDuelistLogo.png) is protected, it cannot be replaced. Is there a way around this?

Also, all of the Structure Decks came with a list of suggested cards. Should these be incorporated into their respective pages? Thanks. -SlashMan (talkcontribs) 19:11, February 17, 2013 (UTC)

Hello SlashMan. I know we've spoken formally a few times, but it's nice to see an editor who's been here, since around the time I started. I appreciate you sticking around.
If you upload it under a different filename, I'll merge the two pages. It'll still be registered as the upload coming from your account.
From the paper that has the set list and combos on one side and cards from recent sets that you can add to the Deck on the other side? It sounds like an idea worth looking into. Have you any thoughts on how this information would be presented?
-- Deltaneos (talk) 20:23, February 17, 2013 (UTC)
Thanks, Yu-Gi-Oh! Wiki has always been the definitive Yu-Gi-Oh! resource for the fans, so I try to help out wherever I can. And here's the new image, I'll try to the the same with some of the other logos.
Also, there's a few options for the suggested cards. One is that the paper itselft could just be scanned. Another option is that a table could be made, similar to that of the setlists. Data to be considered is name, booster pack, and quantity. As for the tips, I'm sure there could be a bulleted list of key cards and a summary of their roles. -SlashMan (talkcontribs) 20:44, February 17, 2013 (UTC)
Let's Power Up This Deck! (With Booster Packs)
Structure Deck: Machine Re-Volt
Booster Pack Set Number Name Card number Category Qty
Dark Revelation Volume 3 DR3-EN071 Heavy Mech Support Platform 23265594 Effect Monster 1
Dark Revelation Volume 3 DR3-EN101 Machine Duplication 63995093 Spell Card 1
Here's one brief example. The 'rarity' section could be added as well. Another form of organization is separating them by booster packs (like in the pamphlet) and have expanding lists. -SlashMan (talkcontribs) 21:00, February 17, 2013 (UTC)
There may be some copyright problems with scanning the text in its entirety.
I see. Following the trend of the set list. I think we should leave out the "Qty" column as they don't tend to mention how many copies you should include. Number and category details seems a bit unnecessary. I had considered the more simplistic
Set Cards
Order of Chaos
Ra Yellow Mega Pack Judgment Dragon
Photon Shockwave
2011 Collectible Tins Galaxy-Eyes Photon Dragon
But it doesn't look too good to me.
Another option is to just use plain text;

The "Power Up With Packs!" supplement suggests combining cards from this Deck with "Darkstorm Dragon" and "Ninjitsu Art of Super-Transformation" from Order of Chaos, "Judgment Dragon" from Ra Yellow Mega Pack, "Alexandrite Dragon" and "Thunder-End Dragon" from Photon Shockwave and "Galaxy-Eyes Photon Dragon" from the 2011 Collectible Tins.

--Deltaneos (talk) 22:04, February 17, 2013 (UTC)
Either one gets the job done. And the whole quantity thing has only come up for the Machine Re-Volt deck (which can be solved by a simple x3). Also, would it be overkill to have the individual cards have the supplemental information in their "Tips" section? -SlashMan (talkcontribs) 06:06, February 18, 2013 (UTC)
'Could salvage the worthwhile parts and copy them over to the tips pages. I don't see the significance in presenting that you can add "Deck Devastation Virus" to a Blaze of Destruction-based Deck as a tip. -- Deltaneos (talk) 23:27, February 18, 2013 (UTC)
I mean, this is more aimed towards the strategies page, but maybe saying something like "Gear Golem the Moving Fortress can be combined with Weapon Change in the Machine Re-Volt Structure Deck to increase its ATK and better utilize its direct attacks" would work. Maybe it's too redundant. -SlashMan (talkcontribs) 03:48, February 19, 2013 (UTC)

Licensing

Hi, Delta. What do we do in cases like this? --Golden Key (talkcontribs) 01:29, February 22, 2013 (UTC)

I'm not sure what the problem you're pointing to here is. If it's about OCG-TCG card image complaining the name is wrong, that's a shortcoming of the template that basically requires me to rewrite it from the ground up (which I've been intending to do for a couple months or longer, anyways). If you're referring to the (lack of a) "Licensing" section header, I could add that easily enough. Did I hit the mark, or could you elaborate? =) ディノ千?!? · ☎ Dinoguy1000 15:40, February 22, 2013 (UTC)
It is indeed about the template saying the name is wrong. Several times Igor's renamed pages trying to rectify this, but I always move them back since the cards are secondary to the sets/characters/archetypes.
I'd have posted this on your talk page, but Delta was online at the time. :) --Golden Key (talkcontribs) 15:58, February 22, 2013 (UTC)
Okay then, yeah, like I said, it's a problem with the template that I can basically only fix with a complete rewrite. Unless I'm mistaken, there is no combination of "name" parameter value and image name that the current template would accept as correct in this case. At any rate, feel free to lay any blame on me; I never gave this situation any thought when originally designing the template, hence why it fails at handling it so utterly. =) ディノ千?!? · ☎ Dinoguy1000 17:22, February 22, 2013 (UTC)

CardTable2 documentation and Monster World figures

Any idea what we should do with the obsoleted CardTable2 documentation as we continue to replace instances of it? Currently, the documentation for CMC, Early DM, and Labyrinth Battle Game is obsolete (and, following my removal of the relevant code for these games from the template proper, incorrect).

On a related note, which pages would we want to add Monster World figure to? The pages currently using CardTable2 are a given, but what about those formatted as character articles? ディノ千?!? · ☎ Dinoguy1000 21:17, February 24, 2013 (UTC)

Delete them I suppose, or redirect them back to Template:CardTable2 if you think they're worth keeping for historical significance. The page histories aren't very long. I don't think those pages were ever especially helpful to anyone or will serve any use in the future.
I knew this was going to come up eventually and I haven't been looking forward to it. There are a few problems with Monster World:
 • Like with the Dragon Cards, the Monster World pieces not using CardTable2, have little or no stats. There's not a lot we can put in tabular format. Many of them need paragraph-based articles. Two articles on minor things for a small difference, I'm not keen on. Tabular bit as a subsection? Maybe. Much different than putting the info in an infobox? Not really.
 • The few that have stats get them from the Monster World Battle Game at the end of Volume 6. They are Goblin, Dragon, Gargoyle and Zorc. All they are given are HP and a special attack. I'm not-so-sure those HP values correspond to the HP they had in the manga. And the Monster World Battle Game has different rules than the Monster World game we see in the manga. Separate tables for Monster World and Monster World Battle Game versions of figures? The only two where this would be applied are the goblin and Zorc. We know the goblin's Level in the manga and HP and special ability in the Battle Game. We know Zorc's Level, HP, but not full HP and a few of his abilities in the manga. We know his HP and special ability in the battle game. Not much justification for two tables there. I'm not sure if there's even justification for one. If Pao and Dragon are the same, they're the same story as the goblin.
 • Monster Capsule GB seems to be a mixture of Monster World and Capsule Monster Chess. It probably has the most comprehensive version of Monster World. But I know very little about that game.
-- Deltaneos (talk) 00:13, February 25, 2013 (UTC)
I've been waffling between "redirect" and "delete"... but as you said, there's not much there that would actually be especially useful or historically significant, so deletion it is, I guess.
In that case, do we even want a Monster World piece/figure template, then? We could just have a wikitable table for the few cases where we have actual stats, and let the prose and infobox handle the rest, with a hard-coded List of Monster World figures for the overview. This would allow us to most easily cover the differences between Monster World and MWBG, with the least overhead.
I noticed MCGB listed on one or two of the MW figures I looked at. The more I see, the more this game intrigues me. According to an unfinished English translation patch I just found, the game features 125 figures, including one of each of Yugi, Yami, Joey, Tristan, Tea, and Bakura, and other stuff I found confirms my suspicions that individual figures can be leveled up, apparently up to a maximum of level 50. I didn't see anything about figures' stats, though, so I guess I'll just have to download a ROM and track stats for a while to see if there're any patterns, or if it all just looks random, but I did see that figures have different move and attack patterns, and the varieties look pretty free-form. All told, this actually looks like a game with a fair bit of depth, which I was not expecting; user ratings in various places also seem to be pretty good. ディノ千?!? · ☎ Dinoguy1000 01:41, February 25, 2013 (UTC)

Anime Images of Monster logos

Dunno where to put this pic. I have quite a few others of monsters that appeared in the Monster Cafe in episode 92. --UltimateKuriboh (talkcontribs) 17:51, March 22, 2013 (UTC)

When you say you don't know where to put it, do you mean you don't know what filename to upload it under or you don't know what pages it could be added to?
 • The usual standard for naming a card that appears in a different way is to use the file name the card would use, then add something to the end, descriptive of what it is. Jinzo-JP-Anime-ZX-MC.png, Jinzo-JP-Anime-ZX-Cafe.png, Jinzo-JP-Anime-ZX-Logo.png or something that effect. You might have a better of idea of what would be most fitting.
 • I don't think you meant the other option, but anyway, the images could go in the cards' galleries and possibly an article on the Monster Cafe.

Other "Template" Request

I am here again only because I am actually asking for "Decklist" template. It's not look like Yu-Gi-Oh! decklist, but it's more of... Magic the Gathering version, you know? I went with one that you and Dinoguy had been often editing and locked up (to prevent the frame-killer) on. So if you think that it's alright for me to forming it in Magic version only for my own articles (like with my Errata Template for my Errata Articles, as usually), then I would like to let you see what's wrong with the one I am current fixing. As usually, I am not very expert with building, like you both do... Here ya go. --iFredCat 21:10, March 27, 2013 (UTC)

Yeah, I could probably fix that page. I just need to know something first; You have parameters for "creature", the different coloured creatures, "artifact", "enchantment", "instant", "sorcery" and "land". Which of these do you want to have their own sections and which ones go in the same section? Like how in Template:Decklist, "monsters", "spells" and "traps" have their own sections, while "normal_monsters", "effect_monsters" etc. go in the same section as "monsters". -- Deltaneos (talk) 23:47, March 27, 2013 (UTC)
All creatures with their colors would goin' with Artifact in same article... er, section, while Enchantment, Instant and Sorcery in next section since they are treated as Spell (since Spell Card article had organizing (organising in your word) Normal, Quick, Equip, Continuous, etc.) and I would put all Lands in the third sections, treating them like a Trap group. That's how I was tried to building - but I screwed the "code" up.
For color, just go in the alphabet order (Black, Blue, Green, Red then White). Same for the Magic/Spellings. --iFredCat 00:53, March 28, 2013 (UTC)
How do you handling around alright, Delta? --iFredCat 01:15, March 29, 2013 (UTC)
Okay, I've updated it now. Although the "Enchantment, Instant, Sorcery" heading goes over two lines in the default skin. Is there a shorter name it could use? And is there anything else I've done wrong? -- Deltaneos (talk) 14:38, March 29, 2013 (UTC)
I only asked for "Magic" (Like Spell), not those three in the default box. They can be separate inside the "hide/show" box, similar to Creature's colors. Other than that, you're doing it so great so far. --iFredCat 14:45, March 29, 2013 (UTC)
Just right, thank you for fixing and for your time. At least I didn't pressuring you to finishing it within 2 hours (that's just sadistic move I have know). --iFredCat 14:57, March 29, 2013 (UTC)
Hmm, it appeared that only "Enchantments" showed up in the Magic "show/hide" box, and also, I must forget about "Planewalker" in the creature section... Do you think I could take care of them and complete it by just copied the "Enchantments" into other three parts? Or should you get that part covering? --iFredCat 15:12, March 29, 2013 (UTC)
Also, it seemed like creatures, other than Artifact, didn't show up as well. Is there a missing code for them too? --iFredCat 15:13, March 29, 2013 (UTC)
