Card Rulings:Hourglass of Courage

"This card's effect changes its Original ATK and DEF."

I can read this ruling either like Hourglass of Courage doubles its Original ATK to create its new Original ATK, or to create its new current ATK. Souldn't be better if we re-type it like "This card's effect changes its Original ATK and DEF to create a new current ATK." or something?

Ok, but what I actually wanted to say is that as it is worded right now, someone may get confused with after Hourglass of Courage's effect's resolution its new doubled ATK becomes it Original ATK, or its Currect ATK.

For example someone can read it like: "This card's effect changes its Original ATK and DEF and its new doubled/halved ATK becomes its new Original ATK." Thus if Megamorph is equipped while Hourglass of Courage has doubled its Original ATK (1100*2=2200 new Original ATK), then its new current ATK will become 4400 (2200*2 its current ATK after Megamorph's resolution).

Also someone can read it like: "This card's effect changes its Original ATK and DEF and its new doubled/halved ATK becomes its new Current ATK." Thus if Shrink is equipped while Hourglass of Courage has doubled its Original ATK (1100*2=2200 new Current ATK), then its new current ATK will become 550 (1100/2 the double to its ATK by its own effect will disappear as a new effect that halves its ATK has affected it).

Field cards and Monster types

My friend and I had a dispute recently about field cards whose effect states that a monster is treated as a specific type while said field card remains on the field; specifically Zombie World. Hypothetically speaking, when Zombie world is active, are monsters on the field and graveyard treated exclusively as zombie types, or are they treated as zombie types in addition to their default types? OCG Rulings: Mentions in Other Rulings!

From what I'm seeing the "Mentions in Other Rulings" have no use for the OCG Rulings since each ruling does not belong especially to a specific card (Unless the "Effect Monster > Kuriboh" rulings), so shouldn't be better if, for example, a ruling that mentions 2 (or more) cards be used as a main Ruling for both cards instead of as main Ruling for the one card, and "Mentions in Other Rulings" ruling for the other?

Or we can place a ruling as "Mentions in Other Rulings" ruling only if a card is mentioned on an "Effect Monster > Kuriboh" ruling, as it happens with Trap of Board Eraser's ruling!

Thoughts?

LADD vs Machina Fortress

Hi, a quickly question cuz i have web problems.

Can Light and Darkness Dragon negate the effect of "drestroy 1 card" by Machina Fortress when it is destroyed by battle?

It is not an effect, but more the less an inherited summoning condition which DOES NOT FORM A CHAIN. So no, you wouldn't be able to negate Machina Fortress'es Summoning.

Djinn the Watcher of the Wind

Hi Machina! Is that thing is a "Djinn" monster? From what I can translate it isn't. It doesn't matter much right now but if they release a card that interacts with Djinns then that thing could be a problem. Should we place a note, or a ruling linking to its name, saying that it is not a "Djinn" monster? Should we change its translated name? Unless it is a "Djinn" monster after all! Thanks! monster gate and conscription

Hi, deus. I was wondering if i use monster gate and get jinzo, can i just special summon it or i must tribute 1 monster because jinzo is level 6. Since on monster gate description pick up until you get a monster that can be normal summon and special summon it, in order to normal summon jinzo i need to tribute 1 monster. We have Summoning in the "Card Effect Type(s):" area, but how come we don't have Condition? (e.g. Exodia the Forbidden One isn't a Continuous Effect, but is a win condition, and Debris Dragon has Trigger/Continuous/Condition) Falzar FZ 10:01, May 28, 2010 (UTC)

RE:Card Rulings:Dark Armed Dragon

Im still a newbie please help me!

If I activate the effect the first time and my opponent Chains "Enemy Controller", then the effect of "Dark Armed Dragon" will still resolve properly and destroy the first card. However, I no longer control "Dark Armed Dragon", so you can't activate its effect a second time.

1. But If the opponent has only 1 monster and I activate the effect of "Dark Armed Dragon" and selected the monster to be destroyed and he/she tributes the monster for the "Enemy Controller" and takes control of my "Dark Armed Dragon" can i still destroy 2 more cards If I have 2 more dark attribute monsters in my graveyard?

2. If I use the effect of "Dark Armed Dragon" I removed from play a dark attribute monster as a cost and i haven't selected a target yet and my opponent activates "Enemy controller" to control my "Dark Armed Dragon" what will happen?

Infernity mirage Q!

I wanna use a D.D. Crow on infernity mirage effect to remove one of the targets. Okay, I read the ruling it's says if one of the targets is remove the remaining one will be special summon.
