Sorry Gadjiltron, but I can't post my decklist for the WDC until I get home in about 5 hours, at 8 P.M. EST. I hope this is okay, because I know you live on the other side of the world, haha. Also, sorry if this posts in the wrong location; I'm on my smart phone and the Wikia's mobile format is definitely not the greatest... Your decks are very well made but i have a segestion for the "Gift" deck. You might want to add this card: The Paths of Destiny because ether way the opponent loses 2000 life points and you have a 50% chance of gaining 2000 (even if you lose 2000 Rain of Mercy should help manage the damage plus if the opponent dies from this it won't matter). Also you might want to swich the 3 Threatening Roar with Wabokus simply because Waboku can serve the same purpose but more effectively. I Hope my opinions help your deck Batboy267 13:46, 15 July 2008 (UTC)
 +
 +
* I feel that The Paths of Destiny, being a Trap, can be a little slow as it has to wait a turn to activate, and it can mean game if played at the wrong time. Second, Threatening Roar is also good at combatting against things that gain bonuses if they attack. Think Ancient Gear Engineer and the Gladiator Beasts - they both have their threats to the deck. --Gadjiltron 14:07, 15 July 2008 (UTC)

dude if a gladiator beast monster is special summon after battle phase can it still attack and start another battle phase again if all-out attacks is face up and active on the field ?

No. At that time, it will be unable to attack, and thus the turn proceeds as usual. Note that All-Out Attacks mean "attack if able". Thus if it cannot attack because it is at the end of the Battle Phase, nothing happens. --Gadjiltron 05:08, 8 July 2009 (UTC)

Hey Gadjiltron, would you mind helping me with my build of Koa'ki Meirus? I know that you did the Koa'ki Meiru Guide, so... yeah, I've basically merged Rock STUN with pure Koa'ki Meirus and I think it's pretty decent. Would you mind looking it over and telling me what you think? It can be seen here Gallery. --Tantara (talk) 23:44, November 14, 2009 (UTC)
 +
* Yeah, I got your point there... Anyways, I realized that I was down three cards, so I added a pair of Rai-Ohs and swapped out some unimportant staples to make room for three Reckless Greed which I believe will make up for the speed lost in Compression. Thanks for your input! Anyways, I forgot to explain the deck, it uses only two types (excluding Rai-Oh), Beast-Warrior and Rock, which include the best all-purpose Koa'ki Meirus. This will allow the deck to better take on a general meta direction, not just countering LIGHT and DARK based decks. --Tantara (talk) 05:00, November 15, 2009 (UTC)

Anti-Heal/Nurse Reficule Decks
 +
 +
Hi Gadjiltron, personally I think the Anti-Heal decks can fall under a Slow and Quick Burn deck depending on the build. As you already mentioned they have the Gift Card OTK, but it is also possible to inflict large amounts of damage in a tun by using Reficule with Upstart Goblin, Rain of Mercy and Soul Taker etc. I do agree that it can take some setup sometimes, but then again most decks with OTK potential take some time to get the rid setup these days. --Trivi-AM (talk) 12:13, November 29, 2009 (UTC)

A Slow Burn Deck Example for you to consider...
 +
 +
Hello,
 +
 +
I just read something about deck guides...
 +
I noticed that you are in charge of the Slow Burn guide.
 +
I consider myself to be pretty good at making burn decks.
 +
Probably not real good, but I try.
 +
I noticed that you have not posted an example of a slow burn deck yet.
 +
The following deck is my own creation and works well enough for my own purposes.
 +
Perhaps you could consider using it in it's current form as your example
 +
of a Slow Burn deck. Here it is:
 +
 +
 +

 +
 +
 +
As your guide suggests (and it is true)...<br>
 +
This deck is highly back-row dependent.<br>
 +
In order to get it's back-row in place, it uses a draw engine based on Des Lacooda.<br>
 +
Swarm of Locusts is for spell and trap destruction<br>
 +
to clear the way for the Raging Flame Sprite to make direct attacks.<br>
 +
Stealth Bird serves as a secondary source of burn.<br>
 +
Lava Golem and Penguin Soldier are on anti-monster duty!<br>
 +
Snipe Hunter can take advantage of any extra cards in my hand and can destroy almost anything!<br>
 +
And.... I think you can figure out the rest!<br><br>
 +
 +
I would be honored to see my deck used as an example burn deck.<br>
 +
If you decide to use it... please simply credit: AceCloudKicker.<br><br>
 +
 +
If you decide not to use it... it's okay too.<br>
 +
I'd also enjoy any feedback you wish to give me on my deck.<br>
 +
It's won me many "just for fun" duels and a few serious ones too.<br>
 +
It has done okay in tournaments. But, it has obviously never taken one.<br>
 +
It is just a Burn Deck after all and I prefer to duel for fun.<br><br>
 +
 +
Thanks for taking the time to read this message.<br>
 +
I hope you consider my deck worthy to be placed in the guide.<br>
 +
Thanks in advance,<br>
 +
AceCloudKicker 03:18, May 30, 2010 (UTC)

 +
Thanks for your help. I appreciate it.<br>
 +
I would like to make a little note that the example Decks posted in my guides are purposely left with a few gaping flaws, mainly to encourage those who choose to follow it to find their own ways to improve it.<br>
 +
Your Deck need not be particularly spectacular if it's going to be an example Deck - just as long as it can demonstrate the general strategy, it's okay.<br>
 +
Once again, thanks for taking the trouble to make an example Deck. I may edit it a little though, before it goes into the guide. --Gadjiltron 11:20, May 30, 2010 (UTC)

Ok, Ok the whole Battle Fader thing i take back, since it is an OTK stopper, which is what we all need now. Magician of Faith would not be a staple for every deck, and while it may help some decks, at one it can't really help as much. I stay with my position on Gearframe for the plain fact that it is just like Stratos, except it work a little better with its theme, since i have seen people OTK on the First turn with this things help. In Supplementery cards, you didn't metion Mausoleum of the Emperor,Creature Swap or Dimensionhole, which are 'fairly' common spirit support (as far as 'common spirit decks' go), as well as possibly Trap Monsters & Legacy of Yata-Garasu.
 +
 +
Also, you said "Spirits only return to your hand after they are Summoned or flipped face up, so Setting them will allow them to hold off attacks for a while." are you meaning they won't return after they are 'flipped face up' by an opponents attack? as if so, that's incorrect, as they return during endphase when 'flipped face up' by any means, including opponents attakcs :3
 +
 +
Finally, it might be an idea to mention Yamata Dragon's def of 3100, as usually if the opponent doesn't know what I'm running, they'll attack the face down monster, allowing it to replenish hand (and any summon fodder I used up, as well as control cards to keep them on the field), while if they 'do' know what it is, they just won't attack it till they can destroy it with an effect.

When Combined with Ultimate Offering, Level Eater should work very well, or even just with Izanagi, (Special, drop 2 levels for 2 Level Eater, tribute both for Yamata/Hino)

the cards like red eyes wyvern is really rare in the place where i come from and gravekeeper's spy is a lucky find.

the basic sratergy is to use horus and jinzo to destroy opposing spells and traps and using dark armed dragon to take out opposing monsters the launch a full scale atk i also had defensive measures.

to be honest i am really proud of this deck and it is tournament legal.

Funny, in that forum you talk last week or so ago. That theory work fine with Dragunity Deck, due to all little dragons are being tuners... Perhaps due to "Dragon Ravine" effect... Well, since it's a Dragunity Deck, it's to be expected. With Dragon Ravine getting the Tuners where they need to be, you won't exactly have the problem of "too many Tuners, no non-Tuners" which I described. --Gadjiltron (talk • contribs) 13:04, April 27, 2011 (UTC)

You say that Catastrophe can be used when you declare an attack, but

"Activate only when your opponent declares an attack. Destroy all Spell and Trap Cards."

so doesn't work i'm afraid, though still works defensivly,

Okay:
 +
Macro:
 +
* Reborn Tengu is big here
 +
* Summoner Monk brings out Card Guard which protects your Cosmos/Fissure. It also brings out Survivor/Tengu
 +
* Cyber Valley is better than ever because you can Banish Tengu/Survivor to get a +1
 +
 +
Koa'ki Meiru:
 +
* Genex Ally Birdman is great for obvious reasons
 +
* Number 39: Utopia, Steelswarm Roach, and the like make Urnight playable without cards to maintain it
 +
* Royal Oppression is gone
 +
* Rock Stun is a pretty good deck
 +
* Fossil Dyna Pachycephalo is amazing
 +
 +
Crystal Beasts:
 +
* Horn of the Phantom Beast
 +
 +
Mill:
 +
* One Day of Peace
 +
 +
Slow Burn:
 +
* Maxx "C" seems to be useful now
 +
 +
Gadget:
 +
* Royal Oppression is gone
 +
* Number 39: Utopia, Steelswarm Roach, etc
 +
* Deep Sea Diva + Lost Blue Breaker also works in Offering Gadgets
 +
 +
Machina:
 +
* Not much really
 +
 +
Reactor:
 +
* Not much
 +
 +
Ancient Gear:
 +
* More Geartown stuff:
 +
* Geartown + Meklord Fortress. There's lots of possibilities: Meklords and Malefic Cyber End Dragon. I actually used Scrap Goblin, Dekoichi the Battlechanted Locomotive, Black Salvo, and Meklord Army of Wisel for a BRD/AFD engine which comboed really well with Geartown
 +
* Geartown in Malefics
 +
* Geartown in Fortune Ladies (with Future Fusions and Minefieldriller)
 +
 +
Gravekeeper's:
 +
* Oppression is gone
 +
* Xyz Monsters
 +
* Malefic Cyber End Dragon is quite nice
 +
 +
Spirit:
 +
* Houoh is nice
 +
* Reborn Tengu is good for Tribute Summons
 +
 +
Cyber Style:
 +
* I suppose Future Fusion FTK might count.

And here's my responses:
 +
*Seems that all the Ancient Gear stuff you're pointing out would be more of a supplement to the archetypes you're talking about. Tips like these, I feel, would be better placed within their own archetypes, seeing that we're simply splashing Geartown here and there.
 +
*Any instances of Oppression being suggested has the ban notice tagged. Would you like me to bold/italic that notice to make it more visible?
 +
*Use of Xyz Monsters in Gadgets and Gravekeepers have already been pointed out. But maybe I addressed them as "Exceed Monsters" in those situations.
 +
*Rock Stun added to Koa'ki Meiru Guide.
 +
I'll see how I can squeeze the other tips into the Guides. Have a nice day. --Gadjiltron (talk • contribs) 03:56, November 19, 2011 (UTC)

Hey. I saw your Supreme Arcanite Magician deck and thought it was really good. I've got a friend who runs a similar deck, so I might be inclined to suggest some of your cards to him. One question, though. Why no Foolish Burial? Was there just no room? Really, that's the first thing I'd think of for a deck like that. No Foolish Burial because mainly due to a lack of space. Yes, thank you for the response. I might call on you again in the future. Right now, there are two cards I would like to know about. One is "Tyrant Wing" and the other is "Data Brain". If you wouldn't mind, could you translate both of them, write the Japanese lore for "Tyrant Wing" on its page, and post the translations for both cards on my talk page? You don't have to do it in Problem-Solving Card Text format, I just want the basic gist. <br>Also, I understand that "Data Brain" is partially covered with a finger. That's alright, I just would like whatever you could translate from it. :You probably already though of this, but: You could potentially compare the blurred card text as to what is already stated as the English card lore. All I'm looking for is whether the 1st effect that "copies the last Spell Card your opponent used" is actually valid, as the card text for Data Brain seems too short for both effects. Of the 2 effects, the 2nd effect seems to be more valid, seeing as how it reflects Valon's explanation of Data Brain's effect. (Note: I watched a subbed version of the episode, which is why I believe it's more valid.) --UltimateKuriboh (talk • contribs) 05:17, October 28, 2012 (UTC)

Hey Gadjilton, I wanted to say thanks for helping out and adding in the post-contest discussion on Contest 38 as well as posting a thread in the General Topics forum asking for voters. Did you want to "host" the next WDC? If so, just pick an idea from the ideas page, and post up the WDC page sometime on Saturday or Sunday. Hello Gadjiltron. I was browsing your decks and noticed you are not including any "Kuribon" in the same deck as "Dark Nurse Refilcule". Considering that you run 3 "Bad Reaction to Simochi", have you given thought to adding this fairy creature to the line up? If more than 1 monster you possess, "Shift" or "Taunt" could be applied in this scenario to change/force the attack target to "Kuribon" inflicting massive damage with BRTS/DNR on the field. An interesting choice using "Burning Algae". I myself use 3 with my Reficules, but also use a f-burial + hand destruction &/or c-destruction. Also, I am wondering who is this female figure on "Bad Reaction Simochi"? I thank you for all your work here at Wikia.

WDC 41
What did you want to do for WDC 41? There's still some time until the current WDC ends, and I'm excited to check out what ideas our contestants have come up with. However, we also need to think ahead a few turns, so I was thinking of doing the Allied Terminal for the next contest. With Hidden Arsenal 7 recently out in the TCG, I think the timing is perfect. <span style="font-family: Monotype Corsiva">--<span style="color:FireBrick;">Dark </span><span style="color:LightSlateGray">Ace SP</span> (<span style="color:FireBrick;">Talk</span>)</span>  03:11, May 10, 2013 (UTC)

:Also, I was thinking of starting this one a little early, maybe tomorrow or Saturday depending on your response. We need some extra time to set up Tag-Teams. I'm guessing we should force the contestants into tag teams? I'll host #41 and compete in it, so feel free to join as well. <span style="font-family: Monotype Corsiva">--<span style="color:FireBrick;">Dark </span><span style="color:LightSlateGray">Ace SP</span> (<span style="color:FireBrick;">Talk</span>)</span>  03:14, May 10, 2013 (UTC)

::::::Did you want to start voting for WDC 40? It's really past the due date, and even if there are only 2 decks, it's better than nothing. Honestly, I think we both kinda struck-out over the last 2 weeks. If you want, we can always just reset the contests and have the forum pages deleted, but at this point I'd just remove WDC 41. <span style="font-family: Monotype Corsiva">--<span style="color:FireBrick;">Dark </span><span style="color:LightSlateGray">Ace SP</span> (<span style="color:FireBrick;">Talk</span>)</span>  02:47, May 15, 2013 (UTC)

dragon ruler question
hello im new to using yugioh wiki but my friend told me to ask you. my question is do you have to reveal dragon rulers when you use there effs in hand like abyssmegalo,High Priestess of Prophecy i was playing at my locals and they used blaster i chained mind crush to the eff of blaster cept they did not reveal when i told them you had to reveal they said they didnt because it was a cost so they dont reveal. which makes no sense because of dragon rulers are not a inherit summon i then refer them to the way abyssmegalo works you have to reveal after you paid the cost because it starts a chain. to get to the point i think this a super basic ruling but there is no ruling stating that dragon rulers have to reveal them self for eff and was hoping someone can post it on this wiki forum thing. my local judges dismissed everything i said because they could not find anything on any such ruling in this wiki so my friend told me to come here and ask about it. --Gamefreakyoshi (talk • contribs) 17:23, November 4, 2013 (UTC)
