Portuguese names[edit]

Some of the Portuguese names you are changing were actually correct... meaning that you're putting incorrect names down. Examples: One and two. --UltimateKuriboh (talkcontribs) 22:10, April 24, 2016 (UTC)

If you cannot input correct Portuguese lores/names, or change them to be correct, then don't be adding them at all. Here's another 2 examples of incorrect names/lores you've done: One and two. If you keep inputting older or incorrect lores/names, you will be banned. --UltimateKuriboh (talkcontribs) 22:29, April 24, 2016 (UTC)
You are welcome to "correct" names and lores for cards that have not been released in Portuguese yet. But if they have been released in Portuguese... it doesn't matter if the Portuguese names and texts are weird; they're still "official", and we go by the latest texts and names used. If you can't accept this, then go over to the Portuguese YGO Wiki, although I doubt they'll let you do the same. --UltimateKuriboh (talkcontribs) 22:51, April 24, 2016 (UTC)
You mentioned in this edit that you got the name/lore from the official site. Can you provide a link to the page you got it from? The card database doesn't include Portuguese, and that card has never been printed in Portuguese. --SnorlaxMonster 02:47, April 25, 2016 (UTC)

Hello there. Regarding the same matter, if a card was released in Portugues, could you add the official name of it, please, instead of a translation you made? You can check if a card was released in Portuguese by looking at the "sets" section on its page and then just go to this site, search for the set code and see if you can find the card there, in Portuguese. Just copy its name to the card article. It's better than adding unofficial names when an official one is available. And, if you want to, you can also add the Portuguese lores. But, in that case, just don't copy them directly from that site, because lots of them are not what's written on the card. Thanks. Becasita Pendulum (talkcontribs) 18:45, April 26, 2016 (UTC)

For what I've seen, UltimateKuriboh scolded you because you were changing official Portuguese names/lores to translations of yours (some of those names/lore were even added by me). That's not what I'm saying on my message for you to do.
You are free to add your translations to cards that do not have a Portuguese release (by tagging the page with {{Unofficial name}} or {{Unofficial lore}}). You are also free to add your own translations to cards that do have a Portuguese release, but do not have an official Portuguese name/lore on their page (again, tag them with the aforementioned templates) yet. You are not free to change official Portuguese names/lores into translations of yours.
My message's intention was to ask you to, instead of adding your translations to cards that do have a Portuguese release but do not have a Portuguese name/lore on their page yet, add the official name/lore of those cards. Becasita Pendulum (talkcontribs) 19:39, April 26, 2016 (UTC)
For instance, let's take a look at your changes on this page. You changed the Portuguese name. But as you can clearly see by this page, the name you added was wrong and the one that was there was correct. Please don't do that, you just need to go to that website I (and UltimateKuriboh before me) provided you to double check it.
I believe you're doing this well-intentioned, but try to understand that we stick with the official name, even if it's weird. Becasita Pendulum (talkcontribs) 19:53, April 26, 2016 (UTC)
I'm not sure if I understand your question. If you see pages that have an unofficial Portuguese name/lore, yes, you can add your translations, I guess. But those are not very productive edits, I'd say.
You can check this page for cards that have an unofficial Portuguese name and this page for cards that have an unofficial Portuguese lore.
You can also check this page for cards with a Portuguese release needing a Portuguese name and this page for cards with a Portuguese release needing a Portuguese lore. Becasita Pendulum (talkcontribs) 20:15, April 26, 2016 (UTC)
