Pandemonium Watchbear only prevents Pandemonium from being destroyed by cards effects; the fact that a Field Spell is destroyed when another one is activated is indeed a Game Mechanic and thus Watchbear has no influence over this;it must be a glitch if it happens in the game.PoirotH 03:45, September 10, 2009 (UTC)

That sword can be just about any sword. Based on what you say,it is no better than pure speculation. And if there are other trivia like this, I would appreciate it if you could point them out for me so I can make sure if they are like your statement.PoirotH 09:07, September 28, 2009 (UTC)

Well, to be honest, that does indeed look similar to him,I myself have seen a few episodes of it. And unlike Break Draw's artwork, this one is not so obsure. Besides it's OK if cards sometimes make references to outside popular culture (like books, TV, historical events etc.)PoirotH 07:51, September 29, 2009 (UTC)

Re: Card Search Categories and CardTable2[edit]

  1. Look like the same thing to me. I've merged them now.
  2. I take it you're using Internet Explorer 6? I've seen the same problem when using Internet Explorer 6 before. If so the best thing for you to do would be to upgrade newer version of Internet Explorer or use a different browser like Firefox. But we should really see if we can get the problem fixed on all browsers. I might poke around later and see if I can find any fix. -- Deltaneos (talk) 05:31, October 15, 2009 (UTC)

"Destroy Card" Categories[edit]

I see that u made an editing in some Amazoness's cards in "Monster/Spell/Trap Categorie(s)" but there is a mistake about buting "Destroy Card" Categories.

in "Amazoness Heirloom" page, u put alot of Categories that go to destroy monsters like "Destroys face-up Monster Cards", "/Destroys Attack Position Monster Cards", "Destroys your opponent's Monster Cards" .. etc.

I thank its batter to put only the Categories that fit with the card, in this case "Destroys Monster Cards" is the right one.

maybe ur asking me why doing that ? actuality doing this will help to found the right effect. for exambel, if I'm going to search for any cards that destroy ONLY face-up monster in my opponent's field, all what I will see is alots of cards that actuality destroy any monster like "Dark Hole" becuse the one who edite its page put all the Categories about destroying monster cards. and I will have difficulty to found the right card. --B. Request for comment[edit]

There is currently a forum discussion going on about how to properly classify archetypes, as well as what "archrelated" actually means. Since I see many of your edits involve those two things, I'd like to ask you to voice your opinion on the matters at Forum:Archetype Classification. Thanks, Cheesedude (talkcontribs) 15:31, April 22, 2011 (UTC)

Archetype relation[edit]

Per Forum:Archetype definition (again), consensus is that a monster appearing in a card's artwork does not make it related to an archetype/series. Cheesedude (talkcontribs) 18:37, March 2, 2012 (UTC)

That's the most common way it will be used, yes. It can get a bit more complicated though. The "worst" example I can think of is "Wild Fire" being related to "Volcanic" because "Wild Fire" supports "Blaze Accelerator", which is related to "Volcanic" because "Tri-Blaze Accelerator" supports "Volcanic Doomfire".
Then there's stuff that's related via flavor text. Like "Mad Lobster" for "Dark World".
There's also relation via Fusions. "Rainbow Dragon" is related to "Elemental HERO" and "Neos" because it fuses with "Elemental HERO Neos" for "Rainbow Neos".
Also, there's anime effects being changed so that they don't support an archetype. We list them as related instead. "Heroic Chance" is related to "Heroic Champion" because its anime effect supports it, but its real-world effect does not.
The main point is that card art should be covered on the card trivia pages (and card storylines).
....After typing all that, I'm thinking we need to create a policy page that covers all this, since it's not exactly simple. Cheesedude (talkcontribs) 18:03, March 6, 2012 (UTC)
That's not a bad idea, but we'd have to restructure the templates a bit. I'm not sure its worth the trouble, especially if we do document all this somewhere in the future.
That should be shown in some way on the appearances page too. The "animelore" and "mangalore" parameters are now open by default, so any differences can be easily seen on the actual card page. That's why we removed all instances of {{CardTable2}} from the appearances pages.
But if they anime effect supported something, then the card's creators clearly intended for it be related even if the effect was changed.
I'd appreciate some help with that, thanks. :) Cheesedude (talkcontribs) 19:05, March 6, 2012 (UTC)

King[edit]

According to Talk:King, they must contain "王者". -Falzar FZ- (talk page|useful stuff) 14:32, May 8, 2012 (UTC)

All current support say "王者". So "王者" is the archetype. "王" does not have support, so that is not an archetype. -Falzar FZ- (talk page|useful stuff) 15:09, May 8, 2012 (UTC)
Ambition of the King, Majesty of the King and Pulse of the King are Support Cards for the archetype "王者". I don't know whether or not Jack is cheating in the Manga but if you have any other questions on that, it can be done at Talk:King, since I don't really know much about the Manga.

Luster Dragon 3[edit]

Yeah, I noticed that earlier before on the "Gem Dragon" page. It was part of an experiment to remove a redirect, which failed, due to a wikia technicality. At the time I created the page List of "Gem Dragon" cards, nothing appeared on there. I asked a user on how to add stuff there, seeing as how he created pages like that before, but he didn't reply (he was still active though). About a week later, it autofilled itself. I think those things will correct themselves... hopefully. If it doesn't, then I'd ask someone else on how to fix it. --UltimateKuriboh (talkcontribs) 18:58, January 7, 2013 (UTC)

Counter Fairy[edit]

Hey Missign0. Counter Fairy is a Deck-type, not a series. Thanks for cleaning up the page. --Golden Key (talkcontribs) 18:36, February 13, 2013 (UTC)

Personally, I feel the whole Synthetic Angel page should be deleted. As Kentaru Z said on the talk page, it's just made up of Counter Fairies, the Majestic Mechs and the Heralds plus some similar mechanical-like Fairies all thrown into a single series just because of appearance. Basing a series purely on physical appearance is a poor way to group things when the monsters barely work together in a single Deck. --Golden Key (talkcontribs) 19:03, February 13, 2013 (UTC)

Regarding Star Eater.[edit]

Size =/= power, true, but I hardly see that as fair justification for removing a bit of blatantly obvious trivia. A being that eats stars and is larger than all non-solar matter in our solar system should be fairly powerful, by anyone's estimation; if you'd like to disagree, I'd recommend including a line on the page yourself proposing a counter possibility. It's just good tact. Simply removing an entire, logically sound paragraph of trivia seems a bit hasty and, to be frank, abrupt, all things considered. If you personally disagree with an interpretation of the card's art, that alone does not make it invalid. At the very least, an invitation to discussion is in order first.

Chaos Emperor Dragon OTK[edit]

Hello, I noticed you flagged the Chaos Emperor Dragon OTK for deletion. However, you wrote it could be merged with "Yata-Garasu Lockdown", which has absolutely nothing to do with this obviously. Could you explain your reasoning ?
Chaos Emperor Dragon OTK
If a merging was to be done, in my opinion it would have to be by creating a new page named Primal Seed FTK listing all the way Primal Seed could be used to achieve a kill on the first turn (Chaos Emperor Dragon, Poison of the Old Man...).

Question[edit]

In a forum you told me that: Note that if you negate a Spell/Trap with "Shi En" while "Great Shogun Shien" is face-up, your opponent still can activate another one (the activation was negated, so its like if your opponent didn't activated nothing yet). Because of this, "Shi En" is usualy used along "Naturia Beast", "Naturia Barkion" and "Naturia Landoise". Well, I wanna ask u if u are sure about that, because when a player normal summons a monster and the other player negates the summon, for instance with solemn warning, the first player CANNOT normal summon another monster even though though the summon is negated. --Giorgos21 (talkcontribs) 13:48, May 19, 2014 (UTC)

Anime/Manga-only archetypes[edit]

When adding an archetype category to a OCG/TCG card page, please don't add archetypes that only exist in the manga or anime. Those archetypes should only be listed on the manga and anime card pages, respectively. --UltimateKuriboh (talkcontribs) 03:45, December 15, 2015 (UTC)

The first reason is a poor one, as it undermines the Wiki's goal of separating archetypes between their mediums, (OCG/TCG, anime, and manga). There is also nothing supporting "King" as a OCG/TCG series; looking at only Jack's monsters for the normal Effect Monsters in the OCG/TCG, their English names are either "Lord" or "King", and only 2 of them have effects in common with each other: changing Levels (and that's even if the current supposed effect of "Magic King Moon Star" is correct).
But for "Dark Advance", yes, I concede that, as Sylvio was using it in a "Monarch"-themed Deck as well. --UltimateKuriboh (talkcontribs) 04:04, December 15, 2015 (UTC)

RE: Tierra[edit]

Hello, Missign0. First of all, thanks for bringing this to my talk page, I believe we can have a better conversation in here. Regarding the matter, here's what I think:

  • I agree, the Tierra in "Purusha Shaddoll Aion" really has fire instead of the hair. However, it also lacks the "arms" of "Apoqliphort Towers", since the ones from the artwork are too small compared to Goddess'.
  • The only wing visible in "Purusha" is the one corresponding to Infernoid's white wing, which is also slightly transparent as well. Not as transparent as Goddess', though.
  • About Vatlamyus. I don't think she's fighting Tierra. She is a "Tellarknight", yes, but that's possibly a play on "Terrorknight", which is pronounced the same in Japanese. According to the original article in the Organization, its Kanji reads as "Knight of the Void", implying a relation to the Infernoids and Tierra. And judging from "Genesis Tellarknight", "Ptolemaeus" was fused with "Construct" against her will. In other words, "Vatlamyus" is sided with "Tierra".
  • I can't identify much of what's happening in "Void Madness", but jugding from it's Japanese name ("Mad Feast"), it's apparently "Tierra" devouring something, possibly "Vatlamyus" herself, in order to gain powers from her and the Qlis to become "Goddess". Also, the particles around the bottom left Qli core imply it's merging, not being destroyed.

Concluding. I think there are a lot of interpretations to the events unfolding in the artworks, and I don't disagree with all of your points. Would it be fine with you if we write "Either Infernoid Tierra or Tierra, Goddess of Rebirth appears in this card's artwork." on Purusha's Trivia page? GMTails (talkcontribs) 19:14, October 12, 2016 (UTC)

Hey.
  • The fire, just by itself, it's enough to see it's Goddess. One thing I forget to mention, if you look the artwork of Infernoid Tierra she has 2 green wings under her horns, Goddess don't have it. About the arms, the large parts of the structures are just out of frame.
  • "Vatlamyus" is sided with "Tierra"? No no no, Qli and Infernoid are allies, but enemies of Shaddolls. The relationship it has with Infernoids is because Vatlamyus = Construct + Ptolemaeus + Infernoid Decatron. This is the third time Construct used the enemies against themselves.
  • The artwork of Void Madness is a mess, but I believe that what happened is: Vatlamyus used a suicide attack to end the battle (that's why she was shining), the Goddess tried to bite it and both died (unless the Goddess survived and return in the next pack, but I doubt it).
  • This isn't a situation like Battle Ox/Enraged Battle Ox or Celtic Guard/Obnoxious Celtic Guard where we don't know which is the monster in the art. Look both Tierra's artworks again and you'll see. --Missign0 (talkcontribs) 05:47, October 13, 2016 (UTC)
Hi.
  • That is true, I didn't notice the green wings before. However, I noticed they are present in "Void Madness". (I'm using a picture so it's easier to see, the artwork of "Madness" is indeed a total mess.) If those really are exclusive to "Infernoid", then "Void Madness" can't be depicting the end of "Goddess". From my interpretation, it shows how "Goddess" came to be, since you can also see a "Qli" core being dragged by Tierra's light core.
  • Regarding "Purusha Shaddoll Aion". Goddess actually has 2 structures attached to the shoulder on the left: The upper part of Infernoid's arms (white with black stripes), and Towers' arms (black with white stripes). The one seen in "Purusha" is white with black stripes, and there isn't anything between it and Tierra's body, so Towers' arms cant't present in the artwork.
  • I've been thinking on what you said about the Shaddoll not being allied with the Qliphorts and Infernoids, being enemies to all parties. That actually makes sense. I still think "Purusha" and "Madness" show Infernoid, not Goddess, but I guess "Vatlamyus" could be fighting "Tierra" indeed, and Tierra's only use for her was to steal "Sombres'" power, who is implied to be nearly a god of Duel Terminal. GMTails (talkcontribs) 15:44, October 13, 2016 (UTC)
After looking that zoomed image, I see you're right about Madness, that artwork indeed shows Infernoid Tierra using the remaining rests of the Qli to transform into Goddess (so it's the opposite of the art of Genesis Tellarknight).
In Purusha, Tierra is already Goddess (lost the hair, green wings, etc), only missing some final details (still don't have the orbs in the wings, all the multi-colors in the body, etc), so she's absorbing Vatlamyus to be the ultimate being as we see in her artwork. So, how about leaving the Trivias like this:
Void Madness: Infernoid Tierra using the Qli to transform into Goddess.
Purusha: Goddess (after Infernoid Tierra initial transformation in Madness) and Vatlamyus appears in this artwork. --Missign0 (talkcontribs) 06:07, October 15, 2016 (UTC)
Just before voicing my opinion again, I think the section bellow has a really good point. I'm amazed they managed to recognize "Qliphort Helix" in the midst of so much going on, but after seeing the image, it becomes very clear.
Regarding Purusha, the way you put it sounds a lot better than what I wrote in the article. After our discussion, I realized Purusha's Tierra is missing a lot of Infernoid's characteristics (the hair and green wings, as you said), and also a lot of Goddess', mainly the "Qli" orbs and Towers' arms, so it's hard to label it as either "Goddess" or "Infernoid". The way you wrote it explains it's in an intermediate form, which is correct, so I'm with you, we should put that on the article. Thanks for the discussion, I'm glad we could come to an agreement. GMTails (talkcontribs) 13:37, October 16, 2016 (UTC)

About Void Madness Trivia[edit]

I'm just here to post my opinion about what happens in Void Madness artwork. It's Infernoid Tierra eating Qliphort Helix, with assumed to be destroyed Apoqliphort Skybase in the foreground. I based that from these:

  • You can see Infernoid Tierra tiny arm there. Goddess Tierra doesn't have that tiny arm anymore
  • You can see Qliphort Helix head and tail destroyed beside Tierra head
  • I'm still not too sure about Skybase, but the only Qli with spiky curve like that is Skybase and the Qli "core" is also below that spiky curve, so it fits.

Picture for reference here: [1] I'm still new here, so sorry if there's some mistake. Mage.goo (talkcontribs) 23:10, October 15, 2016 (UTC)

With that visual reference, it becomes a lot easier to understand what's happening in the artwork. I agree with you, it really looks like "Helix" being devoured by Tierra. Thanks for figuring out what's happening, we've been trying to do that for a while! GMTails (talkcontribs) 13:53, October 16, 2016 (UTC)
Can someone edit Card Trivia:Void Madness then?

Germany[edit]

How did you know that Sanctity of Dragon and Iron Knight of Revolution were based on Germany? I'm asking because when a Match Winner inspired by a certain country is made, the artwork makes that same card's inspiration obvious.

Example A: Grandopolis, the Eternal Golden City is based on Las Vegas, Nevada. The monster actually has a city on it, and the lights of that city are all on.

Example B: Sakyo, Swordmaster of the Far East is based on Japan, due to his samurai armor, katanas, and the battlefield in the artwork.

Example C: The Twin Kings, Founders of the Empire are based on Rome, due to the OCG name, their armor, and the fact that they are wolves.

With Sanctity of Dragon and Iron Knight of Revolution, it's NOT so obvious. So how do you know these cards were actually BASED UPON Germany?RedEyesBurn69 (talkcontribs) 18:33, August 13, 2017 (UTC)

Actually, Germany is going to be next year's Championship, this year is Canada, thanks for that! --Missign0 (talkcontribs) 19:13, August 13, 2017 (UTC)
You need to do some fact checking. This years WC was meant to be held in London, England, but was held in Japan due to safety concerns over terror attacks. It was not, by any means in Canada. Please stop editing information to say that that's the case. PhotonLegion95 (talkcontribs) 19:23, August 13, 2017 (UTC)
I misunderstood with the YCS Toronto. But the other references are correct. --Missign0 (talkcontribs) 19:38, August 13, 2017 (UTC)

Deletion[edit]

Hi there. Why did you tag Attribute Field and Attribute Fields for deletion? Becasita Pendulum (talkcontribs) 11:32, August 27, 2017 (UTC)

I see. Fixed. Thanks for pointing it out. Becasita Pendulum (talkcontribs) 11:26, August 28, 2017 (UTC)

Hey Missign0. You're a frequent editor. I'd like to point you to Forum:Proposal to Fork to Yugipedia, in case you haven't noticed it yet. Becasita Pendulum (talkcontribs) 19:10, January 4, 2018 (UTC)

Hi Missgn0. Seeing as your account was successfully imported on 05:09, 27 January 2018 (UTC), would you mind telling when you first started attempting to import your account, and how many times you attempted to do so, and if your most recent attempt was at/near the time your account was successfully imported? --UltimateKuriboh (talkcontribs) 15:48, 27 January 2018 (UTC)

Doriado card and series[edit]

Why'd you only mark Doriado as related to the Doriado series, instead of a member? If any card would qualify as a member, I'd figure it would. ディノ千?!? · ☎ Dinoguy1000 21:58, 1 October 2018 (UTC)

All the members have an effect related to Attributes, since Doriado don't have any effect I thought someone would just eventually change it to being related. Also, what happened to the Doriado (series) article? --Missign0 (talkcontribs) 04:19, 2 October 2018 (UTC)
I think in this case, having the eponymous card marked as a member instead of just related, should be completely non-controversial, even if it's a Normal Monster while the other members are Effect Monsters.
You created it on Wikia. You can copy it here if you like, but if you do, please copy the last version you edited, since in that case, no attribution is required.

Search Categories[edit]

Hi Missign0. Just wanted to thank you for creating all of these new search categories, classifying effects is now much better than ever. Let me know if I can help you somehow :) GMTails (talkcontribs) 14:22, 13 August 2019 (UTC)

Ok, I'll keep an eye out for non-TCG/OCG cards. And for now, I can't think of any effect that isn't already covered by an existing category (previously I would've said that cards like "Trickstar Fes" that banish themselves to protect a monster didn't have one, but I see that you changed "Redirects destruction" in order to fit these cards), but I'll let you know if I find one. Trick Battle[edit]

Sorry about that business Missign0, I must have undone that by accident. Rolled back my revision. Sanokal K-T (talkcontribs) 22:53, 31 August 2019 (UTC)
