Or I can contact you like this.[edit]

Good job on making those deck building pages. However, I see a few things wrong. Chief among them is that you tend to ramble - fix that up. More importantly, I disagree with you on certain key points.

The main thing is your emphasis on only cards with no cost. This is practically laughable; Monarchs have a cost, that being the monster you needed to tribute summon it. As for discards, many cards, archetypes and combos can make the "cost" irrelevant or even desirable for the deck. In light of this abundance of examples (links provided) it seems a bit naive to assume that costs always are bad. Take Snipe Hunter; use Ojamagic for its cost and you get 3 new cards and thin your deck. Or maybe you're discarding the third DARK monster, or the fourth unique Lightsworn, or maybe just a dead card that's clogging up your hand. Finally, there's frankly too many powerful cards that involve a discard to not use. I'm talking about Lightning Vortex, Raigeki Break, the afore-mentioned Snipe Hunter, Fabled Valkyrus, etc etc etc...

Also, you can't live in fear of dead-drawing and thus play cards with absolutely no combo potential. What if you draw Dark Armed Dragon before you have 3 DARK monsters in the grave? What if you draw 2 Malicious in your opening hand? Honestly, the solution isn't to excise every card that needs the support of another card, it's to structure your deck so that the dead draws don't kill you. Examples are defensive cards such as Necro Gardna and Threatening Roar, or just optimizing the other cards in your deck so that when you get a relatively situational card, you can always put it to some use. That's the trick to making a good deck, not leaving out cards that might be destroyed or might be useless at one point or another. Runer5h 23:03, September 16, 2009 (UTC)Runer5h

Bargain Discarding[edit]

When you discard to draw cards, like with Solar Recharge, Trade-In, Destiny Draw, or with some other combo, like using Thunder Dragon and then discarding one of the 2 you got for One for One it's pretty much a bargain. The same thing is true when you use Toon Table of Contents and Summoner Monk to get a special summon from your deck while you thin your deck. You just have to know what cards to discard have better combo potential, like when I mention in my latest article, using all those other cards I mentioned over Brron, Mad King of Dark World.

Otherwise it's as much of a waste as using Tempest Magician over Toon Table of Contents to get spell counters when I'm not using Forced Requisition or some other discard combo. Then you have to wait until the right time, like if I threw in The Tricky into a spellcaster deck that doesn't rely on discarding, when I could easily use Manju of the Ten Thousand Hands with Legendary Flame Lord and Advanced Ritual Art, or toon support via Toon Table of Contents, Toon World, Toon Dark Magician Girl and Toon Gemini Elf, which will also let me use Solidarity. --MrVariant 02:05, September 17, 2009 (UTC)

Trap Efficiency: How to waste your opponent's removal[edit]

I had to move it to your userspace because it was a personal essay. It was a guide, containing your own preferences and written in first person. Mainspace pages should be articles that document existing facts and aren't specific to the author.

You mean navboxes? Like this one for example: Template:Hirutani's gang? You can use {{DynamicNavigationBox|TITLE=title|CONTENT=list of links here}}. If you want to add columns and rows, it gets trickier. You may copy the syntax straight from another page like this one and change the links to the ones you want. You only need to type that sytnax once and then you can transclude it onto other pages. If you create the box at User:MrVariant/EfficiencyNav, then you can add {{:User:MrVariant/EfficiencyNav}} to the bottom of the pages you want it to appear on. Let me know if you need any help. -- Deltaneos (talk) 09:40, September 17, 2009 (UTC)

Someone put that you didn't know about life and i thought it would be a vandal so... Haousy 15:28, October 3, 2009 (UTC)

Thanks Haousy[edit]

That's just sad that someone would vandalize my article but I sorta stated in it that people'll fight you just for bringing up the truth that Yugioh is an unbalanced game where the restriction list hardly does anything given how many similar cards there are in addition to how many ways you can search your deck to get a card like using 3 copies of Charge of the Light Brigade (which mills your deck more and does not need you to discard beforehand unlike Solar Recharge, plus you can't both mill good cards and draw Wulf, Lightsworn Beast) or reuse monsters with 2 Foolish Burial, 3 Book of Life and 2 Mezuki for zombies. Then of course Call of the Haunted and multiple copies of Limit Reverse for nearly any deck that lacks its own (or good) revival to reuse removal monsters like Exiled Force/Mystic Swordsman LV2 or unions like Spirit of the Six Samurai since it counts as another Six Samurai monster unlike with Roll Out!. Thanks again. --MrVariant 15:39, October 3, 2009 (UTC)

Discard Deck and Pendulum Deck[edit]

The two articles you posted are too general and contain your subjective view. Because of that, they should belong to your userpage rather than the mainpages. Only specific deck and fact document should be included in the mainpages. You can continue working on them under User:MrVariant/Discard Deck and User:MrVariant/Pendulum Deck.
