Link Summon[edit]

Regarding Special:Diff/3883935: Yeah, my bad on that. Burt bear in mind that the number of materials must be met. So if it says 3+, you can't use only 2 monsters (even if a Link Monster is among them). Becasita Pendulum (talkcontribs) 23:52, October 15, 2017 (UTC)

But you can choose to use a Link Monster as the same number of materials as its Link Rating. How would the scenario described above be an exception?Surfinbird42 (talkcontribs) 23:55, October 15, 2017 (UTC)

I'm just going to copy paste the other message "No. They can't. This was explained way too many times now. To Link Summon a monster, the Link Ratings must add up. A monster is treated as Link Rating 1 when used as Material. A Link monster with a higher rating can be treated as that Rating. It does NOT mean that it is treated as that many materials. If a Link monster says 3+, it means you have to use atleast 3 CARDS. Physical. Cards. It's analogue to Synchros, but instead of Levels, you add Link Ratings. To summon Trishula, you need to add up all Levels to 9 BUT you can't use less than 3 monsters. To summon Borrelord, all Link Ratings have to add up to 4 BUT you can't use less than 3 monsters. Seriously. It's not that hard."Mofiz (talkcontribs) 00:05, October 16, 2017 (UTC)

Yu-Gi-Oh Pro[edit]

While you were correct in this edit (since mandatory effects cannot missing the timing), please do not rely on unofficial simulators for rulings (or even official ones, for that matter, really). Yu-Gi-Oh Pro is unofficial, and while they intend to match the game mechanics, there's no guarantee of accuracy and you should instead rely on official sources. --SnorlaxMonster 01:02, November 29, 2017 (UTC)

Impersonal language[edit]

Could you PLEASE start using impersonal language when adding tips? You could stop using "you can activate this card..." and starting using "this card can be activated...", instead. It would be nice, since the tips pages are meant to be an impersonal guide about how to use cards and not a conversation. How can this practice be so hard for you to understand? Skipping a line between one-bulleted tips would be cool as well. GustaphMax (talkcontribs) 23:42, January 3, 2018 (UTC)
