Any suggestions on a good site for card pix? tcgplayer was suggested, but when I try to enlarge the pictures they go all blurry.

narchibald84 13:18 EDT, 21 July 2006

Have complete Japanese card lists (no, I'm NOT using DMComet fanslations as English names, except for CDIP at present) -- am currently in process of adding all OCG cards.

Run into slight problem with Crawling Dragon and Crawling Dragon #2 -- somehow Crawling Dragon #2 [TP2-027] has become linked to Crawling Dragon [MRD-012], and I can't get them to unlink. Current solution: links to Crawling Dragon #2 are given as [[Crawling Dragon 2|Crawling Dragon #2]], but if you could remove the autolink that automatically sends you into "Editing Crawling Dragon" whenever you try to edit "Crawling Dragon #2" I'd appreciate it.

Hello! You left me a message about some pointers, and I really appreciate them! Although the cards and files you talked about (Feather Shot, "HellPolymer.jpg", Sorcerer of Dark Magic, etc.) were not uploaded/made by me (they were made by Taylor). But I still appreciate the pointers and stuff, and info on uploading images. --BadPlayer (umm... not sure wat EDT is, but...) 18:17 GMT, 30 July 2006 (Probably 17:17 EDT, because what you put on my discussion page was at 17:14 EDT)

Hey, how do you delete a page? -BadPlayer 20:21 GMT, 2 August 2006

Umm... on www.ideal808.com none of the pictures r working. Do you have any idea when they'll be up again, or is it just my computer malfunctioning, or something like that? -BadPlayer 12:02 GMT, 4 August 2006

Hey... concerning JUMP-EN010...

The promo in December is Dark Magician Girl from the Sneak Peak so it should be like previous promos and be carded as SP2-EN002, the January issue has Victory Dragon and would be JUMP-EN010... I've seen no information from any site to the contrary.. have you? If so where? Thanks

Hello, just posting here to bring your attention to the questions I asked on the Ryo Bakura discussion page and the Joey Wheeler discussion page, can you please answer them ASAP. Thank you -Arctic Wolf

Thank you very much for your response. If the English crowd is the main audience, I will rename the characters to their English anime equivalent, and have the original Japanese names in as side notes. I will also create additional articles for spirits, rather than grouping them with their hosts. Thank you for answering my question, and if you have any problems with my above proposal, please let me know on my talk page. -Arctic Wolf

Power of the Duelist[edit]

Here is the list from another site. Some of the card names are different, so im not sure what names are right: http://www.dmcomet.net/potd.txt

Jaden Yuki[edit]

  • Is it a different card, though? I don't know much about the game, unfortunately, but if it's just the English name of a Japanese card, should it make a difference? Just wondering. :( Danny Lilithborne 22:12, 1 July 2006 (UTC)

Its the english name.

Its clearly 1 word.

http://www.ideal808.com/images/eoj_en041.jpg

  • Yes, I ran through the pages replaceing 'Over Soul' with 'Oversoul', as per the card image names.

promoting Yukioh wikia[edit]

Great work with the site! Have you tried promoting it on yahoo groups, submitting it to DMOZ or anything else like that? Gil

Cards that don't exist[edit]

Are we allowed to create articles for cards that were only seen in anime and do not exist in the real game, such as "Deck Destruction Virus?" AnnaV 17:07, 17 August 2006 (UTC)

Forbidden/Limited List[edit]

How did you know what cards will be forbidden and limited this coming September? AnnaV 22:00, 18 August 2006 (UTC)

Metal Raiders set[edit]

Do you know why the Metal Raiders set numbers have "E" in the code? An example is "MRD-E109" AnnaV 20:50, 3 September 2006 (UTC)

Red-Eyes B. Dragon Infobox[edit]

The infobox has an errors on its support cards. "Paladin of Black Dragon" should be "Knight of Dark Dragon" as Joey said in the show. AnnaV 22:04, 4 September 2006 (UTC)

Infobox editing[edit]

Can you tell me step by step how to edit an infobox? AnnaV 22:13, 4 September 2006 (UTC)

Black Luster Soldier's Card Number[edit]

Does the Japanese version of this card have the card number on it because in the American version (released in the Yugi Evolution Starter Deck) didn't have it. AnnaV 20:46, 7 September 2006 (UTC)

So the Japanese version of "Black Luster Soldier" does have the 8 digit number, right? AnnaV 22:35, 7 September 2006 (UTC)

Merging articles[edit]

I think the articles Flip Effect Monster Cards and Flip Monster Effects should be merged because they are basically about the same thing, activating the Flip effect of a monster. AnnaV 22:25, 8 September 2006 (UTC)

Magic/Spell Ruler[edit]

Why do we have two different articles for those sets? They were exactly the same set. Magic Ruler was changed to Spell Ruler when Magic Cards were relabled as Spell Cards in September 2003. AnnaV 15:57, 10 September 2006 (UTC)

Dark Beginning-Dark Revelation/Beginner Edition-Expert Edition[edit]

Are the card numbers between the TCG and OCG version of these cards in these sets the same (for example: DB1-EN100 is BE1-JP100)? AnnaV 21:03, 10 September 2006 (UTC)

Gold Sarcophagus[edit]

You keep saying that card was only in the anime. The truth is it is a real card. It has only released in Japan and had a different effect in the anime (the real card is called "God Chest of Sealing"). Here's the link to the card [1] AnnaV 00:08, 23 September 2006 (UTC)

Sample Change to Card Main Pages[edit]

Hey... Check out Cyber Dragon's Card Page... this is what I was discussing earlier about linking the image and the words for each unique card to the main card page. opinions? -pcouw

Card Specific Gallery Page[edit]

Hey... I just finished an update to the Card Specific Gallery... check it out under Exodia the Forbidden One. Any thoughts, if okay I'll add others in the future.

New categories for the infoboxes[edit]

How come now we have these three catergories added to the card infobox: "Card Gallery," "Rulings," and "Errata." AnnaV 13:00, 11 October 2006 (UTC)

If you desire it[edit]

Whilst browsing through all the character pages the currently exist, I did some thinking, and I've contemplated something you might like to consider. You all seem very focused on the cards, which is great (I play myself). However, you don't have anyone really working on the anime section of this Wikia, which according to our mission statement we need to fill that up. What I am proposing is that, considering I seem to be the main editor for anime related articles (see my Bakura article for my structure; its slowly getting finished too), that I could perhaps lead that faction, allowing me to set formats and policies on writing character pages. Would that be possible? Thank you for your time, I know your busy with the card database. -Arctic Wolf

Magic Formula[edit]

Hi, I saw you noted that if the previous lore for Magic Formula was correct, then Blue-Eyes Ultimate Dragon would not be a proper target for the card. However, in the episode, Kaiba used Spell Absorption, which has a very different effect in the anime, which allowed his dragon to be a legitimate (spelling?) target for Magic Formula, regardless of Magic Formula's effect. Another time this happened was with his Blade Knight where Kaiba used Spell Absorption to equip the opponents card to his Blade Knight, despite being an illegitimate target. Also, Magic Formula is a real card in Japan, though with a different effect (it can only be equipped to DM and DMG and it gives them 700 ATK and they gain 1000 Life Points when it is destroyed), and if you asked I could provide you with a link to the card, so the previous lore was correct. Therealmikelvee 20:26, 17 October 2006 (UTC)

Oh, I saw that there is also an article for Dark Magician's Tome of Black Magic, which is 1-and-the-same as Magic Formula. Perhaps they should be merged? Therealmikelvee 20:46, 17 October 2006 (UTC)

Okay, if there is more edit conflict, I will bring it up with AnnaV.mikey 20:57, 17 October 2006 (UTC)

Card erratas and Rulings[edit]

Those two catergories you added to the infobox not long ago, are we supposed to put in the old lore or ruling (such as when Sword Hunter had its text changed, so we put in the old text for "Card errata")? AnnaV 15:04, 19 October 2006 (UTC)

Technical Difficulties[edit]

Do you know why this website has been recently experience technical problems a lot? AnnaV 20:41, 19 October 2006 (UTC)

Japanese link additions[edit]

OK, you got it. I thought they are placed in the order of the dates they were released (most recent to earliest). Thanks for letting me know. AnnaV 15:38, 1 November 2006 (UTC)
