User pages are pages used by editors to describe themselves and grant additional space to help them in the work they do on the wiki.

The Yu-Gi-Oh! wiki is not intended as a blog, web space provider, or social networking site. Users are allowed to post material irrelevant to the Yu-Gi-Oh! wiki on their user pages, but are encouraged to keep it to a minimum. Material which is deemed harmful is not allowed either.

Acceptable usage[edit]

  • Brief information about yourself, your interests in Yu-Gi-Oh!, the Yu-Gi-Oh! wiki and wikis in general.
  • Describing your work on the wiki.
  • Contact details such as e-mail addresses or other websites you can be found on. (Do not include details that are too personal such as address or telephone number.)
  • Keeping track of work you've done or plan on doing on the wiki.
  • Performing test edits.
  • Decklists: Many users like to post their own Deck lists in their user pages. One of the most common and neatest ways is to use the Decklist template.

Unacceptable usage[edit]

  • Personal attacks on other people.
  • Personal information about other people without their consent.
  • Copyright violations.
  • A blog of activities unrelated to the Yu-Gi-Oh! wiki.
  • Extensive information of no relevance to the Yu-Gi-Oh! wiki.
  • Extensive advertising. Users may mention other sites or projects they are involved in, but should not create users pages specifically to advertise them.
  • Excessive gaming. Many users like to duel other people on the site. While this practice is somewhat acceptable, users should not make it their sole business on this site and are encouraged to work on improving the site too. Users also shouldn't disturb other users who are not interested in such gaming.

Subpages[edit]

Users are free to create additional sub pages if they need more than 1 page. Subpages must follow the same content guidelines as above.

Common uses for subpages include:

  • Relevant material, which is too much for the user's main user page.
  • Archiving old discussions.
  • Testing templates.

To create a subpage, you must start a page with, User:, followed by your username, followed by / followed by the name of the subpage. For example:

User:Example/My subpage

Images on user pages[edit]

There are restrictions on the images people can use on their user pages.

Non-free images are not allowed. Copyrighted images (and videos) that are not uploaded under a free content license cannot be displayed on user pages. Images of cards, pictures from the anime, manga and video games, covers of books and games are all considered to be uploaded under the United States fair use law. Fair use offers limited use of copyrighted material without consent from the copyright holder. All images uploaded as fair use are generally only to be used in content pages when describing the work in question.

Users are not allowed to upload their own personal images. Only images of relevance to the site are permitted. Images that have been uploaded for the site in general and not specifically for individual users are allowed to be used on user pages, provided they exist under a free license. Freely licensed images can be found in the following categories:

The exception to the no personal images rule is the user's avatar. Avatars display in the masthead on top of user pages (provided they are using the Wikia skin). An avatar uploaded by a user will appear on their user page in all Wikia projects and blog posts on such wikis that have the blog feature enabled. To change an avatar, click on your current avatar and then click "change" or go straight to my preferences and change it.

Style pages[edit]

Each user has their own personal CSS and JavaScript pages, within their userspace. These can be used to customize the appearance of the site. Changes made will be visible only to that user.

Only you, staff, admins or helpers are able to edit pages in your userspace ending with .css or .js.

Available pages are:
