Yu-Gi-Oh! Japanese World Championship Qualifier 2004 participation card

The Yu-Gi-Oh! Japanese World Championship Qualifier 2004 participation card is a Super Rare Asian-English "Sengenjin" that was distributed to participants of the Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Monsters: Expert 3 National Tournament in Japan.

The Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Monsters: Expert 3 National Tournament (遊戯王デュエルモンスターズ エキスパート3国内大会) was held on July 4, 2004 at the Tokyo Ryutsu Center, Tokyo, Japan.[1][2] It was conducted using the video game Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Monsters: Expert 3. There were places for up to 1500 players to register (with successful registrants selected by random draw if more than 1500 people attempted to register), but only around 1000 registered.[2] The top two players from the tournament won entry to the Yu-Gi-Oh! World Championship 2004, held in Anaheim on July 25, 2004.[3]

A Japanese magazine noted that "Sengenjin" was available as a participation card at this tournament, but the displayed Official Proxy image has the Card Number WCS-002. Notably, this section also erroneously claims that the Yu-Gi-Oh! World Championship 2004 was held in Los Angeles, when it was actually held in Anaheim.[4][5] No WCS-002 "Sengenjin" was ever printed, though it was printed with the numbers WCS-EN403 (as a Yu-Gi-Oh! World Championship 2004 tournament promotional card) and WCS-AE403 (as a participation card at the Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Monsters: Expert 3 National Tournament).
