"The Duel Club's Traditional Ritual" is the forty-first chapter of the Yu-Gi-Oh! OCG Structures manga. It was first published October 21, 2022, in the V Jump magazine.

Summary[edit]

It's been one month since Motokariya's admission in the new school, and hence, Tsukinami, the head of the Duel Club, performs a traditional ritual with her - with a Duel!

Featured Duel: Tsukinami vs Shiori Motokariya[edit]

Turn 1: Motokariya
Motokariya's opening hand contains "Gishki Ariel", "Aquamirror Focalization", "Gishki Shadow", "Gishki Icemirror" and "Gishki Photomirror".

At this point, some steps are skipped. Motokariya now controls "Evigishki Nereimanas" in Attack Position, as well as "Gishki Abyss" and "Gishki Shadow" in Defense Position. Furthermore, she has "Aquamirror Meditation" face-down on her field, which she Set with the effect of "Aquamirror Focalization".

Turn 2: Tsukinami
Tsukinami activates "Preparation of Rites", adding "Ohime the Manifested Mikanko" from his Deck to his hand, and proceeds to activate her effect, revealing herself in the hand; however, Motokariya chains with the effect of "Evigishki Nereimanas", returning herself to the hand to negate Tsukinami's "Oohime" and shuffle her back into the Deck. Tsukinami Normal Summons "Hare the Sword Mikanko". Next, he activates the effect of "Brave Beauty of Ruby Regard - Bradamante", discarding herself from the hand to equip "Hare" with "Arabesque of the Mikanko" from his Deck. Since "Hare" became equipped, her effect allows Tsukinami to add "Purifying Dance of the Mikanko" from his Deck to his hand. Tsukinami enters his Battle Phase. "Hare" attacks "Gishki Shadow", with her effect inflicting the damage to Motokariya's LP instead of Tsukinami's (Motokariya's LP: 8000 → 7000). Tsukinami enters his Main Phase 2, and activates the effect of "Arabesque of the Mikanko", Special Summoning "Nini the Mirror Mikanko" from his Deck and equipping her with "Arabesque", then returning "Hare" to his hand. Next, he equips "Nini" with "Purifying Dance of the Mikanko" and Sets 1 card.

Turn 3: Motokariya
Motokariya activates "Gishki Icemirror". Tsukinami chains with the effect of "Nini", taking control of Motokariya's "Gishki Shadow". "Icemirror" resolves, and Motokariya Tributes Tsukinami's "Nini" to Ritual Summon "Evigishki Nereimanas", while losing LP equal to its ATK (Motokariya's LP: 7000 → 4000).

Duel continues in the next chapter.
