"Pulling the Strings", known as "Destined to Intertwine" in the Japanese version, is the fifty-eighth episode of the Yu-Gi-Oh! SEVENS anime. It first aired in Japan on July 25, 2021, and became available for streaming on Hulu on January 24, 2023.

It's evening at Goha #7 Elementary. Hearing Luke scream, Yuga and co. rush to the corridor and find many dolls. The one controlling them is the fourth brother of the six Goha president siblings, Yuo Goha! Though at first he is at a disadvantage in his Duel with Yuga, a mysterious smile comes to his lips...

Summary[edit]

Yuo takes the mysterious card.

On the Goha Six's ship, Yuo comments that Yuran's victory was a surprising turn of events as he, Yuka, Yuran and Mrs. Drone watch footage of Yuran's victory against Gavin. Yuka comments that it sounds like he isn't happy Yuran won and Yuo denies that, claiming to be super happy. Yuka huffs and leaves with Yuran and Mrs. Drone, leaving Yuo to snicker to himself. In the darkened room the President Drone reminds Yuo that the score is a 2-2 split and asks what he will do, and Yuo chuckles his family's signature laugh, claiming he doesn't need to do anything since he'll be the the one to gain control of the entirety of Goha Enterprises. He types a command into a keyboard, retracting the cylinder containing the card he was analyzing and takes it, reminding the Drone that he's Yuo Goha and commenting that it's about time he went off to play too. He glances into another capsule containing several mannequins, claiming they want to play as well.

Yuga accidentally almost blows Mysterious M's identity.

School has ended for the day at Goha #7 Elementary, so Gavin takes the opportunity to hold a "Counterplan for the Goha Six" meeting in the Rush Duel Clubroom. Yuga, Romin and Swirls all politely applaud, but Gavin angrily asks where Luke ran off to. Yuga remembers that Luke told him the Ramen Hut's gyoza promotion ended today, so he'd make the meeting after he finished eating. Gavin angrily asks if Luke doesn't understand how important the situation with the Super Rush Robot is, but Romin asks what they can do if they don't even have any information. Mysterious M pops up, commenting that they seem like they need some help, and Romin and Gavin blanch in shock, while Swirls has no idea what's going on. Yuga cheerfully greets Mimi by name, much to her shock, and he quickly realizes he's messed up as Swirls repeats Mimi's name. Yuga, Romin and Gavin panic as Mimi turns away in shame and Yuga quickly asks who she is, much to Swirls' confusion. Mimi reintroduces herself as Mysterious M and assumes her signature pose, much to the appreciation of Swirls. Gavin asks Mysterious M what she wanted to say, and she reveals an old machine with a light mounted on it. Gavin, Romin and Swirls don't know what it is, but Yuga geeks out over the ancient relic - an overhead projector, or O.H.P. (prompting Gavin, Romin and Swirls to sound out each English letter). Mysterious M holds up three plastic sheets, claiming it isn't very trendy to have a super-special presentation with something like this but it's more heartfelt. Her presentation passes in a flash, though Romin has no idea what just happened. Gavin sums up that their next opponent will be Yuo Goha, the youngest and strongest of the Goha Six, and Mysterious M adds she's also heard him called "The Puppetmaster", which Yuga repeats thoughtfully.

Luke finds a puppet of Yuga in the hall at Goha #7.

Meanwhile Luke has just returned to Goha #7 Elementary with a ballooning belly, admitting he didn't think he'd eat seventy-seven plates. Oblivious to the crimson light suffusing the area he spots Yuga in the corridors and runs up to him, asking if the meeting already ended, but as soon as he touches Yuga's shoulder Yuga goes limp, and Luke panics, believing he used too much strength. He apologizes, and Yuga replies that it's all right in a robotic voice before his head twists around 180 degrees to reveal a puppet's face. Luke freaks out and screams Yuga's name.

Yuro runs down all the puppets in the halls.

His screams reach the ears of everyone in the Rush Duel Clubroom, and they recognize Luke's voice and run out into the Student Council room and the hallway, but stop short in shock at the red light as they come face-to-face with an army of puppets with crimson strings. As Swirls catches up and freaks out, Yuro's voice declares it's all his fault, and they turn to see him driving full throttle at them on his Duel Runner. Everyone barely ducks in time, Gavin popping up to protest to Yuro that riding a machine in the hallway is banned, but Yuro continues on, severing the strings of the puppets and screeching to a halt outside, commenting that it's as he thought. Gavin, Romin, Yuga, Swirls and Mysterious M rush out as well, and Gavin recognizes what's above them. Yuro confirms that it's Star Six (he does not name the ship in the dub).

Yuo descends from Star Six.

A red light blinks at the bottom of Star Six as Yuo's voice calls out to them. He descends in crimson strings of his own, now wearing a smart grey suit and introduces himself, and Yuro comments that Yuo is the same as always. Yuo muses that his big brother Yuro is here and admits it's too bad as he wanted to shock them more. Yuga asks if all the puppets were Yuo's, and Yuo chuckles and confirms they are; they're part of his collection and obey him without question, so they're his super-cute friends. Romin promptly tells Yuo he has bad taste, and Yuo asks if she really thinks so, claiming they really are super-cute and likening them to Yuga and his friends; pathetic plebeians trying oh so hard for naught. Yuga holds up his Duel Disk and comments that it's a strange way of thinking, and Yuo comments in amusement that Yuga is certainly full of energy. He tells Nail that he's up, and from his haven and sitting on Seatbastian, Nail agrees. A hexagonal section opens in the sports field, and Nail declares that the Rush Duel between Yuo Goha and Yuga Ohdo will now commence as a large circus tent emerges. The curtains open, and Yuo descends into the entrance and gestures welcomingly. He and Yuga take their positions atop platforms attached to the tentpoles and as they strap on their Duel Disks and spotlights snap on them, Yuo politely asks to be allowed to begin the performance of "Yuo's Puppet Troupe". Yuga eagerly agrees, and they both insert their Decks into their Duel Disks and call "Rush Duel!" to deploy the blades (with Yuo's in yellow) and the green holographic sphere.

Yuga starts strong with three high-Level Warrior Type monsters.

As Yuro runs up to watch with Romin, Gavin, Swirls and Mysterious M, Yuga calls "Here I go!" and declares his turn and draws. His hand containing "Daybreak Warrior", "Raidacross, Hero of the Dawn", "Raidacross, Hero of the Dusk", "Aqua Sorcerer" and "Dark Sorcerer", Yuga Summons "Dark Sorcerer" and "Aqua Sorcerer", then Tributes both of them to Tribute Summon, chanting "Roar! To the red sky of the witching hour! Raidacross, Hero of the Dusk!" He returns "Dark Sorcerer" and "Aqua Sorcerer" from his Graveyard to his Deck to activate the Twilight Order" effect of "Raidacross, Hero of the Dusk", Special Summoning "Daybreak Warrior" from his hand. Then since he controls a Level 7 Warrior monster he activates the effect of "Daybreak Warrior", Special Summoning a Level 7 Warrior monster from his hand. He chants "Guide me toward the rising sun and shine! Raidacross, Hero of the Dawn!" As his three powerful monsters stand behind him, Romin comments that Yuga's going with a strong first turn and Yuro agrees that he's accelerated right from the starting line. Even Yuo agrees, praising Yuga for making his stage more exciting, much to Yuga's surprise, and he ends his turn.

Yuo asks them to bear witness, welcoming everyone to his troupe's wonderful show, and he declares his turn and draws, his hand containing "Imaginary Arc Turret", "Daigyakutenno Megami", "Gyakutenno Megami", "Fire Jester" and "Imaginary Actor". First their troupe's stars make their appearance, "Imaginary Actor" and "Fire Jester", and then "Imaginary Actor" exits stage left so Yuo can Tribute Summon and allow "Gyakutenno Megami" to take center stage. Gavin gasps that he's heard of "Gyakutenno Megami" before, but this is the first time he's ever seen her, and Mysterious M cries that she wants one too. Yuo explains that since he controls "Gyakutenno Megami" he can activate the effect of "Fire Jester" by sending the top card of his Deck to the Graveyard (another "Fire Jester"), reducing the ATK and DEF of Yuga's "Daybreak Warrior" by 500 each until the end of the turn. "Fire Jester" blasts a stream of fire from his palms at "Daybreak Warrior" and Yuga grits his teeth as "Daybreak Warrior" falls to 1200 ATK. Yuo comments the show is heating up, and to Romin and Gavin's shock he has "Fire Jester" and "Gyakutenno Megami" exit stage left to Tribute Summon, chanting "A miracle that shines twice - no, thrice! Bring victory to me! Daigyakutenno Megami!" "Daigyakutenno Megami" appears with 2400 ATK, and Gavin cries that Yuo has gone beyond "Gyakutenno" to "Daigyakutenno", something Mimi likens to supersizing one's order.

Yuo proclaims that Yuga is at the mercy of the one pulling the strings.

Yuo activates the effect of "Daigyakutenno Megami" since he has "Gyakutenno Megami" in his Graveyard, drawing a card - "Imaginary Arc Tower", and Gavin notes that "Daigyakutenno Megami" seems impressive, but her effect is a little underwhelming. Swirls asks if that means it's disappointing, but Yuo crows that it's time to show them the true abilities of his troupe and explains that the effect of "Daigyakutenno Megami" continues, allowing to him to send the top card of his Deck to the Graveyard, and then if it's a monster, he can destroy up to two monsters Yuga controls with the same Type. Yuga gasps "What?" as Yuo excavates the top card of his Deck - "Sword Dancer", a Warrior monster, so he'll have both "Raidacross, Hero of the Dusk" and "Raidacross, Hero of the Dawn" exit stage left. Both monsters explode into shards of light and Gavin gasps "What?!" while Romin cries that it really is a great reversal ("Daigyakuten" means "great reversal" in Japanese). Yuo asks if Yuga is enjoying his Puppet Troupe's performance, and Yuga admits that he guesses so. Pleased, Yuo vows to make it even more exciting for Yuga and he activates the Field Spell "Imaginary Arc Tower", shrouding the area in a purple dimension full of giant stone puppets whose hands reach up through the fog for everyone to stand on. Yuo declares that the stage has been set; all monsters except LIGHT monsters will lose 300 ATK. "Daybreak Warrior" further decreases to 900 ATK as Yuga grits his teeth and Yuo declares that everything in this space is his stage, and once you're on stage you're at the mercy of the one pulling the strings. Setting a card, he orders "Daigyakutenno Megami" to attack "Daybreak Warrior" with "Starlight Crescendo", and "Daigyakutenno Megami" blasts glowing stars from her staff, destroying "Daybreak Warrior" and reducing Yuga to 2500 LP. His friends gasp in shock and Yuo comments that Yuga's cute as a doll when he gasps in pain like that before ending his turn as Yuga glares at him.

In Goha #7, Luke is lugging the puppet of Yuga around, asking who went and brought a toy like this to school, as he mistook it for Yuga, but then he stops as he feels something and wonders what it is.

Yuga uses the effect of "Hyper Engine Vast Vulcan" to weaken itself, allowing it to attack past Yuo's Trap Card.

As Yuo and Yuga face off, Swirls worries over Yuga's predicament, but Gavin and Romin have faith he'll show them a real comeback for certain. Preparing himself, Yuga declares his turn and draws five cards - "Level Blast", "Hyper Engine Vast Vulcan [R]", "Hyper Engine Vast Vulcan [L]", "Hydro Magician" and "Mystic Dealer". He Summons "Mystic Dealer" and activates its effect by sending "Hydro Magician" to his Graveyard, drawing another card. He grins at his draw and comments that Yuo called this theater a stage, didn't he? Yuo asks so what if he did, and Yuga adds the card he drew to his hand, proclaiming that it's time for a star to take center stage - he's drawn "Hyper Engine Vast Vulcan". He sends "Mystic Dealer" to the Graveyard, chanting "No matter if volcanoes, glaciers, or meteors block my way! I'll carve a road through it all and flare up into a blaze! Maximum Summon! Come on out! Hyper Engine Vast Vulcan!" As "Vast Vulcan" emerges from the flaming fissure with 3300 MAXIMUM ATK, Yuo is entranced by the massive Maximum Monster and admits that it's so cool. Gavin praises Yuga and Romin admits she was worried because Yuga hadn't used his Maximum for a while. Yuga explains with a grin that the cards had been reaching their limit, so he had Asana repair them for him, and the ATK of "Vast Vulcan" falls to 3000 due to "Imaginary Arc Tower". Yuo observes that this is a Maximum and he admits it's truly fit to be the star of the show, so he presents it with a welcoming gift - the Trap Card "Imaginary Arc Turret", which prevents monsters with at least 2500 ATK from attacking this turn. Yuga grits his teeth and Yuo comments that it's such a pity given that the star had just appeared, but Yuga continues on regardless by activating the Spell Card "Level Blast" to inflict damage to Yuo equal to 100 times the Level of the Level 10 "Vast Vulcan". Yuo flinches in shock as the Spell reduces his LP by 1000, to 3000, and Yuga follows that up by sending "Full Meteor Impact" from the top of his Deck to the Graveyard to activate the effect of "Vast Vulcan", reducing the ATK of "Daigyakutenno Megami" by 800, then destroying "Imaginary Arc Tower" and inflicting 800 damage to Yuo. "Vast Vulcan" blasts a column of fire into the sky, reducing the ATK of "Daigyakutenno Megami" to 1600 and dispelling the purple clouds of "Imaginary Arc Tower", and Yuo doubles over in pain as he falls to 2200 LP, but then chuckles to himself. Swirls praises Yuga's move, though Gavin and Romin notes that Yuga still can't attack with "Vast Vulcan" as it returns to 3300 MAXIMUM ATK. Yuga adds that he isn't done yet, sending "Ice Age Catapult" from the top of his Deck to the Graveyard to activate the other effect of "Vast Vulcan", reducing the ATK of a monster equal to its Level times 100. Yuro notes that the checkered flag is likely to wave for Yuga as Yuga chooses to reduce the ATK of "Vast Vulcan" itself, and Yuo gasps in shock as "Vast Vulcan" falls to 2300 ATK. Yuga adds that he can also inflict damage to Yuo equal to the Level of the targeted monster times 100, and "Vast Vulcan" yells with glowing yellow eyes, inflicting another 1000 damage to Yuo and reducing him to 1200 LP. Romin and Gavin note that Yuga can attack now that he's reduced the ATK of his own monster, and Mysterious M waves a fan, calling "Fever, fever!" as Swirls imitates her and agrees that all Yuga needs to do is attack to end it.

The Super Rush Robot's right arm comes loose.

But as Yuga begins to call out his attack, "Vast Vulcan" begins to glitch and Yuga's Duel Disk crackles with lightning. Gavin cries "Vast Vulcan's" name and Romin asks if something has happened to the Rush Duel Robot as they all look at Yuo. Yuo only chuckles, and Romin, Gavin, Swirls, Yuro and Mysterious M all look at one another in shock. Then Kaizo arrives, calling Romin's name and claiming that he thought this might happen, so he borrowed the Hubbel Space Binoculars from the Duelstronauts, which are now embedded in his body (Kaizo does not explain this in the dub, simply claiming the shock is making the eyes pop out of his head). He leads Romin outside, begging her to hurry, and Romin puts her eyes to the binoculars - and as everyone else peeks outside the tent, Romin sees the Super Rush Robot waving its arm wildly - until it pops right out of the socket and crashes to the moon's surface. Romin gasps in shock as she relays what just happened, and Gavin asks in shock what she just said. In Nexus, Nail confirms that the right arm is the domain where Maximums are governed, and back in the tent, where the footage from the moon is playing on a holographic screen, Yuo comments to Yuga that his favorite mechanical doll seems to be at its limit. Romin leads everyone else back in, angrily snapping that this was due to the armaments the Goha Six put on the robot, but Gavin wonders what will happen if "Vast Vulcan" disappears. Nail explains that if the data of a card vanishes during a Duel then the monster will vanish from the field, much to the shock of everyone present.

The Super Rush Robot successfully repairs its right arm.

Then Kaizo cries that the Rush Duel Robot is doing something, and to the utter shock of everyone present the Super Rush Robot has moved towards its detached arm. Even Yuo is shocked, and as the Super Rush Robot picks up its right arm, Romin and Gavin realize that the Robot is trying to repair its arm of its own will. The ball-joint of the arm sparks with electricity as the Super Rush Robot clumsily tries to insert the arm several times, and as Yuga watches with his teeth clenched it finally succeeds in reattaching the arm to the joy of Yuro, Romin, Gavin, Mysterious M and Swirls, Mysterious M commenting that it's pretty good for a robot and Yuro declaring that even he gets the burning sense of friendship from the robot as it straightens up with glowing eyes, restoring the hologram of "Vast Vulcan". Yuga thanks the Rush Duel Robot as it resumes its stretching and Yuo narrows his eyes as Yuga calls "Let's go!", ordering the "Vulcan Ignite Hyperdrive" attack of "Vast Vulcan". "Vast Vulcan" blasts the flaming sphere from its chest at "Daigyakutenno Megami", shattering her into glowing fragments and reducing Yuo to 500 LP with a scream of pain as the force of the attack pushes him back, but then he laughs softly. Yuga ends his turn, returning the ATK of "Vast Vulcan" to normal, and Mysterious M laments that Yuga couldn't finish it, though Gavin is confident that Yuga will still win -

Yuo activates "Fusion".

- and he's interrupted by Yuo, who gushes that it's been ages since he's had a Duel this fun, but his performance isn't anywhere near finished. Yuga gasps in quiet surprise as Yuo draws five cards; "Pierce!", "Fusion", a second "Sword Dancer", "Monster Reincarnation" and a third "Fire Jester". He comments that the leading actor hasn't appeared no stage yet, much to Yuga's confusion, and discards a card to activate "Monster Reincarnation", adding "Imaginary Actor" from his Graveyard to his hand. Then he Summons two monsters, "Sword Dancer" and "Imaginary Actor". Gavin is surprised Yuo added a monster from his Graveyard to his hand, and Romin notes that it's a strong effect, though Mysterious M believes Yuo to be struggling in vain. But Yuro narrows his eyes and he wonders what Yuo is trying to do. Yuo comments that Yuga fell into a tough pinch and came back brilliantly, dancing well to his tune, much to Yuga's surprise. Yuo declares that the Machine Type "Imaginary Actor" and Warrior Type "Sword Dancer" will both exit the stage as materials, and as he sends them to the Graveyard rainbow light begins to radiate from beneath him as he declares that it's time for his troupe's lead actor to take the stage. Luke cries Yuga's name and runs in with the puppet, and Romin asks where Luke has been, given that Yuga is about to win. But Yuo tells them to give some thunderous applause - for "Fusion".

Yuo performs a Fusion Summon.

Yuga narrows his eyes and Luke repeats the card's name as Yuo slots it into his Duel Disk, causing the images of his two monsters to overlap. As Yuo's Duel Disk crackles with purple light he chants "This is... an intertwined fate! A forbidden existence born from joining!" "Imaginary Actor" and "Sword Dancer" merge together, the resulting monster sprouting six arms and materializing different swords in each as Yuo declares the Fusion Summon of the Cyborg Type Metarion Ashurastar. The new monster appears with 2800 ATK, its six arms undulating and twitching unnaturally, and Yuga gasps in shock, while Romin asks if the two monsters became one. Gavin repeats the English word "Fusion" and then asks in shock if Yuo fused the monsters together (using the usual Japanese word "yuugou"). Swirls points out that it's also a Cyborg Type monster and asks what that even is. Mysterious M angrily asks if Yuro knew about this, and he protests that even he didn't. Even Nail rises from Seatbastian in shock, repeating the words "Fusion Summon" to himself. Yuo activates the effect of "Metarion Ashurastar" by sending the top card of his Deck to the Graveyard, allowing him to destroy a Set card Yuga controls. As "Metarion Ashurastar" glows purple and levels all six of its swords, Gavin and Romin comment that it's fine since Yuga doesn't have any Set cards right now, and Swirls agrees that it was lucky.

"Hyper Engine Vast Vulcan" is destroyed by "Metarion Ashurastar".

But then Yuo reveals that he can also choose to increase the ATK of a Cyborg Type monster he controls by the total ATK of all Warrior Type monsters Yuga controls, and "Metarion Ashurastar" glows red instead as Yuga looks back at "Vast Vulcan" in shock. Yuo declares that these are the two Multi-Choice Effects of "Metarion Ashurastar" as its left side glows red and the right purple and Gavin asks if this means Yuo can choose whatever effect he wants. Yuo chooses the effect that will raise the ATK of "Metarion Ashurastar" and tells his lifeless puppet to become the foundation for its master as "Metarion Ashurastar" giggles madly and spins in a circle, powering up to 6100 ATK with its "Occultic Stranger" effect as the red glow takes hold, and Gavin and Romin can only cry the ATK score in horror. Yuo orders the "Fall Into Shining" attack of "Metarion Ashurastar", and it engulfs itself in the red aura and dives towards "Vast Vulcan", who tries to shield itself with its dragon arm only for "Metarion Ashurastar" to pierce through it and into its body, where "Metarion Ashurastar" proceeds to spin within "Vast Vulcan", fragmenting it from the inside out. Yuga's friends gasp as cracks run up "Vast Vulcan" and it explodes with a cry of pain, engulfing Yuga in rubble and throwing him off his feet with a scream as his LP fall to zero.

The platform lowers with Yuga lying on it and Luke runs to Yuga calling his name as Romin asks if he's okay. Yuga sits up and asks what that was, and as Yuo's platform descends he points out that he said it; it was Fusion. His puppets appear behind him as he repeats the word "Fusion" over and over, narrowing his eyes.

Featured Duel: Yuga Ohdo vs Yuo Goha[edit]

YugaVSYuo.png

This Duel is conducted as a Rush Duel.

Turn 1: Yuga
Yuga's hand contains "Daybreak Warrior", "Raidacross, Hero of the Dawn", "Raidacross, Hero of the Dusk", "Aqua Sorcerer", and "Dark Sorcerer". Yuga Normal Summons "Dark Sorcerer" (1500/0) and "Aqua Sorcerer" (1500/0). Yuga Tributes "Aqua Sorcerer" and "Dark Sorcerer" to Tribute Summon "Raidacross, Hero of the Dusk" (2100/1500). Yuga activates the effect of "Brave of Twilight", returning two Warrior and/or Spellcaster Type monsters from his Graveyard to his Deck to Special Summon a Level 6 Warrior or Spellcaster Type monster from his hand. Yuga returns "Aqua Sorcerer" and "Dark Sorcerer" from his Graveyard to his Deck and Special Summons the Warrior Type "Daybreak Warrior" (1700/400) from his hand in Attack Position. As Yuga controls a Level 7 Warrior monster, he activates the effect of "Daybreak Warrior", Special Summoning a Level 7 Warrior Type monster from his hand. He Special Summons "Raidacross, Hero of the Dawn" (2100/1500) in Attack Position.

Turn 2: Yuo
Yuo's hand contains "Imaginary Arc Turret", "Daigyakutenno Megami", "Gyakutenno Megami", "Fire Jester", and "Imaginary Actor". Yuo Normal Summons "Imaginary Actor" (500/500) and "Fire Jester" (1000/500). Yuo Tributes "Imaginary Actor" to Tribute Summon "Gyakutenno Megami" (1800/2000). As Yuo controls a Level 5 or higher LIGHT Attribute monster, he activates the effect of "Fire Jester", sending the top card of his Deck to the Graveyard to choose a Level 8 or lower monster Yuga controls and reduce its ATK/DEF by 500 until the end of the turn. He sends "Fire Jester" from the top of his Deck to the Graveyard and chooses "Daybreak Warrior" ("Daybreak Warrior": 1700/400 → 1200/0). Yuo Tributes "Gyakutenno Megami" and "Fire Jester" to Tribute Summon "Daigyakutenno Megami" (2400/2000). As Yuo has "Gyakutenno Megami" in his Graveyard, he activates the effect of "Daigyakutenno Megami", drawing a card, then sending the top card of his Deck to the Graveyard, and if the card sent to the Graveyard by this effect was a monster, Yuo can choose up to two monsters Yuga controls with the same Type as that monster and destroy them. He draws "Imaginary Arc Tower" and sends the Warrior Type "Sword Dancer" from the top of his Deck to the Graveyard, then destroys the Warrior Type "Brave of Dawn" and "Brave of Twilight". As Yuo has a LIGHT Attribute monster with 500 DEF in his Graveyard, he activates the Field Spell Card "Imaginary Arc Tower". The effect of "Imaginary Arc Tower" decreases the ATK of all non-LIGHT Attribute monsters on the field by 300 and prevents Level 9 LIGHT Attribute monsters Yuo controls from being destroyed by Trap Card effects ("Daybreak Warrior": 1200/0 → 900/0). Yuo Sets a card. "Daigyakutenno Megami" attacks and destroys "Daybreak Warrior" (Yuga: 4000 → 2500 LP).

Turn 3: Yuga
Yuga draws "Level Blast", "Hyper Engine Vast Vulcan [R]", "Hyper Engine Vast Vulcan [L]", "Hydro Magician", and "Mystic Dealer". Yuga Normal Summons "Mystic Dealer" (1000/0 → 700/0). Yuga activates the effect of "Mystic Dealer", sending a Spellcaster Type monster from his hand to the Graveyard to draw a card. He sends "Hydro Magician" to the Graveyard and draws "Hyper Engine Vast Vulcan". Yuga sends "Mystic Dealer" to the Graveyard and Maximum Summons "Hyper Engine Vast Vulcan", "Vast Vulcan [L]", and "Vast Vulcan [R]", entering Maximum Mode (3300 → 3000 MAXIMUM ATK). As Yuga Special Summoned a monster while Yuo controls a LIGHT Attribute monster, Yuo activates his Set Trap Card "Imaginary Arc Turret", preventing Yuga from declaring attacks with monsters with 2500 or more ATK this turn. As both players control a Level 7 or higher monster, Yuga activates the Spell Card "Level Blast", choosing a monster he controls and inflicting damage to Yuo equal to that monster's Level x 100, but Yuga can only attack with one monster this turn. Yuga chooses the Level 10 "Vast Vulcan" (Yuo: 4000 → 3000 LP). As "Vast Vulcan" is in Maximum Mode, Yuga activates the effect of "Vast Vulcan [L]", sending the top card of his Deck to the Graveyard to choose a face-up monster Yuo controls and reduce its ATK by 800 until the end of the turn, then Yuga can destroy a Field Spell Card Yuo controls, and if he does, Yuo takes 800 damage. He sends "Full Meteor Impact" from the top of his Deck to the Graveyard and chooses "Daigyakutenno Megami" ("Daigyakutenno Megami": 2400/2000 → 1600/2000), then destroys Yuo's "Imaginary Arc Tower" (Yuo: 3000 → 2200 LP; "Vast Vulcan": 3000 → 3300 MAXIMUM ATK). As "Vast Vulcan" is in Maximum Mode, Yuga activates the effect of "Vast Vulcan [R]", sending the top card of his Deck to the Graveyard to choose a face-up monster on the field and reduce that monster's ATK equal to its Level x 100 until the end of the turn, then inflict damage to Yuo equal to that monster's Level x 100. He sends "Ice Age Catapult" from the top of his Deck to the Graveyard and chooses "Vast Vulcan" ("Vast Vulcan": 3300 → 2300 MAXIMUM ATK; Yuo: 2200 → 1200 LP). "Vast Vulcan" attacks and destroys "Daigyakutenno Megami" (Yuo: 1200 → 500 LP).

Turn 4: Yuo
Yuo's draws "Pierce!", "Fusion", "Sword Dancer", "Monster Reincarnation", and "Fire Jester". Yuo activates "Monster Reincarnation", sending a card from his hand to the Graveyard to add a monster from his Graveyard to his hand. He sends an unknown card from his hand to the Graveyard and adds "Imaginary Actor" to his hand. Yuo Normal Summons "Imaginary Actor" (500/500) and "Sword Dancer" (1400/500). Yuo activates the Spell Card "Fusion", Fusion Summoning by sending face-up monsters he controls to the Graveyard as material. Yuo fuses "Imaginary Actor" and "Sword Dancer" to Fusion Summon "Metarion Ashurastar" (2800/2500) in Attack Position. Yuo activates the effect of "Ashurastar", sending the top card of his Deck to the Graveyard to choose to either destroy a Set card Yuga controls or choose a Cyborg Type monster he controls and increase its ATK by the combined ATK of all Warrior Type monsters Yuga controls until the end of the turn. Yuo sends an unknown card from the top of his Deck to the Graveyard and chooses to increase the ATK of the Cyborg Type "Ashurastar" ("Ashurastar": 2800/2500 → 6100/2500). "Metarion Ashurastar" attacks and destroys "Vast Vulcan" (Yuga: 2500 → 0 LP).
