Summary[edit]

Luke ends up in a Rush Duel against a different kind of "king", Captain Nanami Maguro, after a dispute over food.

Featured Duel: Tatsuhisa "Luke" Kamijo vs Nanami Maguro[edit]

Turn 1: Luke
Luke Normal Summons "Draco the Tiny" (0/1400), "Dragon Bat" (1000/400), and "The Fire Dragon" (1500/0). He Tributes "Draco the Tiny" and "Dragon Bat" to Tribute Summon "Multistrike Dragon Dragias" (2500/1500). Luke Sets a card.

Turn 2: Maguro
Maguro activates the Field Spell Card "Umi", boosting the ATK and DEF of Fish, Sea Serpent, Thunder, and Aqua monsters by 200. He Normal Summons 2 "Jet Barracuda" (800/1000 → 1000/1200), and Tributes both to Tribute Summon 2 "Naval Warfare Don Orcawally" (800/??? → 1000/???). Maguro activates the effect of the 1st "Orcawally", returning 2 "Jet Barracuda" from his Graveyard to the Deck, then sending the top 2 cards of his Deck to the Graveyard. Since both cards sent to the Graveyard were Fish monsters - two copies of "Heat Dartfish" - he draws 2 cards. Maguro activates the effect of the 2nd "Orcawally", returning 2 "Heat Dartfish" from his Graveyard to the Deck, and sending 2 cards from the top of his Deck to the Graveuard. The cards sent were two copies of "Ojisan", so he draws 2 cards again. Next, Maguro activates "Grand Extreme", Special Summoning "Hydro Cannon Big Bluefin" (2200/2100 → 2400/2300) from his hand in Attack Position and returning "Draco the Tiny" and "Dragon Bat" from Luke's Graveyard to the Deck. He activates the effect of "Big Bluefin", sending 1 card from his hand to the Graveyard to allow both "Orcawally" to attack Luke directly this turn. Maguro Sets a card. Both "Orcawally" attack Luke directly (Luke 4000 → 2000). "Big Bluefin" attacks and destroys "The Fire Dragon" (Luke 2000 → 1100).

Turn 3: Luke
Luke Normal Summons "Dragon's Sage" (1100/100) and "Dragorite" (1500/0). Maguro activates his face-down "Big Hit!", returning both "Orcawally" to his hand to Special Summon a 2nd "Big Bluefin" from his Graveyard in Defense Position (2200/2100 → 2400/2300). The 2nd effect of "Big Hit!" increases the ATK/DEF of both "Big Bluefin" by 1500 during this turn (2400/2300 → 3900/3800). Luke Tributes "Dragon's Sage" and "Dragorite" to Tribute Summon "Shock Dragon" (1600/2500) and activates its effect, sending the top card of his Deck to the Graveuard to decrease the ATK of both "Big Bluefin" by the ATK of "Dragias" (ATK 3900 → 1400). He also activates the effect of "Dragias", sending the top card of his Deck to the Graveyard to allow it a second attack this turn if it destroys a monster by battle. Luke activates "Dragonic Catapult", sending a Dragon monster from his hand to the Graveyard to make "Dragias" attack directly this turn. "Shock Dragon" attacks and destroys the Attack Position "Big Bluefin" (Maguro 4000 → 3800). "Dragias" attacks twice (Maguro 3800 → 1300 → 0).[Notes 1]

Featured cards[edit]

The following cards appeared in this chapter. Cards in italics debuted here.

Notes[edit]

  1. The effect of "Dragias" should only allow a second attack after it destroys a monster by battle. This seems to be an error.
