"Diagnosis: Deletion", known as "Three Draws Leading to Hope" in the Japanese version, is the twenty-sixth episode of the Yu-Gi-Oh! VRAINS anime. It first aired in Japan on November 8, 2017, became available with official subtitles via Crunchyroll on the same day, and aired in Canada on November 25, 2018.

All of Blue Angel's "Trickstar" tactics were locked away, and she received a huge amount of damage due to Baira's "Dark Mummies". With no other choice, Blue Angel bets everything on her one last chance...

Featured Duel: Blue Angel vs. Baira[edit]

Duel continues from the previous episode.

Blue Angel has 3600 LP and controls "Trickstar Holly Angel" (2000/↙↘) in the Extra Monster Zone on her right-hand side, as well as "Trickstar Perennial" in her Spell & Trap Zone. Baira has 3600 LP and controls "Dark Mummy Surgical Forceps" (2400/↙↑→) in the Extra Monster Zone on her right-hand side, as well as "Temple of the Kings" in her Spell & Trap Zone.

Turn 3: Blue Angel
Blue Angel's hand contains "Trickstar Candina" and "Trickstar Mandrake". Blue Angel Normal Sets a monster[Notes 1] to the zone the bottom-left Link Arrow of "Trickstar Holly Angel" points to. As a monster was Normal Summoned, Special Summoned, or Set to a zone Blue Angel's Link Monster points to, Baira activates the effect of "Dark Mummy Surgical Forceps", destroying that monster. Blue Angel's face-down monster is destroyed.

Turn 4: Baira
Baira draws "Root Ransom Virus". As Baira drew a Trap, she activates the effect of "Surgical Cooper", revealing it to inflict 500 damage to Blue Angel (Blue Angel: 3600 → 3100 LP). Baira activates her Skill "Malevolent Malpractice", banishing two Level 2 or lower monsters with the same name from her GY to Special Summon two monsters from her Deck with the same name as each other and whose Levels are equal to the banished monsters'. She banishes two copies of the Level 1 "Dark Mummy Probe" to Special Summon two copies of the Level 1 "Dark Mummy Infuser" (0/500), with one of them Special Summoned to the zone the bottom-left Link Arrow of "Surgical Forceps" points to. As "Infuser" is Normal or Special Summoned to a zone a Zombie Link Monster points to, Baira activates its effect, targeting that Zombie Link Monster, while "Infuser" is face-up in the Main Monster Zone, that monster is unaffected by Trap effects. She targets "Surgical Forceps" whose bottom-left Link Arrow points to "Infuser". The effect of "Surgical Forceps" increases its ATK by 600 for each monster it points to. It points to "Infuser" ("Surgical Forceps": 2400 → 3000 ATK). Baira Sets a card. The effect of "Temple of the Kings" allows Baira to activate one Trap the turn it was Set. Baira applies the effect of "Temple of the Kings", activating her face-down Trap "Root Ransom Virus" the turn it was Set, Tributing a DARK monster with 0 ATK to change the ATK of all Link Monsters on the field to 0, also they have their effects negated. She Tributes the copy of "Infuser" that "Forceps" didn't point to ("Holly Angel": 2000 → 0 ATK), and Forceps is unaffected due to the effect of the "Infuser" that it points to. "Surgical Forceps" attacks "Holly Angel". Blue Angel activates the effect of "Perennial", targeting a "Trickstar" Link Monster she controls, then sending a monster it points to or "Perennial" to the GY to prevent it from being destroyed by battle this turn. She targets "Holly Angel" and sends "Perennial". The attack continues and "Holly Angel" is not destroyed (Blue Angel: 3100 → 100 LP). During Baira's turn, Blue Angel activates her Skill "Trickstar Trick", discarding a "Trickstar" card to make Baira draw until she has three cards in her hand, and during the End Phase of this turn, Baira must banish a card from her hand for each "Trickstar" monster in Blue Angel's GY. She discards "Trickstar Mandrake" and makes Baira draw three cards ("Ekibyo Drakmord", "Giant Germ", and "Infected Mail"). As "Mandrake" was sent from the hand to the GY, Blue Angel activates its effect, Special Summoning it in Defense Position (0/1000). During the End Phase, Blue Angel has three "Trickstar" monsters in her GY ("Lilybell", "Nightshade", and "Candina"), so Baira banishes "Ekibyo Drakmord", "Giant Germ", and "Infected Mail".

Turn 5: Blue Angel
Blue Angel draws "Trickstar Narkissus" and subsequently Normal Summons it (1000/1800). The effect of "Current Corruption Virus" changes the ATK of all monsters Blue Angel controls with 2000 or less DEF to 0, they have their effects negated until Blue Angel's third End Phase after activation. Blue Angel sets "Narkissus", "Mandrake", and the Link-2 "Holly Angel" in the Link Arrows to Link Summon "Trickstar Bella Madonna" (2800/↑→↙↓) to the Extra Monster Zone. As a Link Monster is Link Summoned while "Root Ransom Virus" is in Baira's GY, its effect activates, changing the ATK of all Link Monsters on the field to 0, also they have their effects negated, but as "Mandrake" was sent to the GY as Link Material for the Link Summon of a "Trickstar" monster, Blue Angel activates its effect, targeting a monster Baira's Link Monster points to and destroying it. She targets and destroys "Infuser" the bottom-left Link Arrow of "Surgical Forceps" points to ("Surgical Forceps": 3000 → 2400 ATK) and that was affecting "Forceps". The effect of "Root Ransom Virus" resolves ("Surgical Forceps": 2400 → 0 ATK). While the Link Summoned "Bella Madonna" points to no monsters, its effect makes it unaffected by other cards' effects. As "Bella Madonna" points to no monsters, Blue Angel activates its effect, inflicting 200 damage to Baira for each different "Trickstar" monster in Blue Angel's GY. There are six different "Trickstar" monsters in Blue Angel's GY ("Lilybell", "Nightshade", "Candina", "Narkissus", "Mandrake", and "Holly Angel"), so Blue Angel inflicts 1200 damage to Baira (Baira: 3600 → 2400 LP). "Bella Madonna" attacks and destroys "Surgical Forceps" (Baira: 2400 → 0 LP).
