"Awakened Memories", known as "Memories Brought Back" in the Japanese version, is the seventy-sixth episode of the Yu-Gi-Oh! VRAINS anime. It first aired in Japan on November 7, 2018, and will air in Canada on November 10, 2020.

Skye, who is starting to have doubts about SOL Technologies' methods, starts searching for Aqua. On the other hand, The Shepherd has found out where Aqua is. He goes after Aqua and attacks her, but Ghost Girl then appears before him and blocks his path.

Differences in adaptations[edit]

  • In the dub, The Shepherd suggests to himself that the Ignis were responsible for his mother's injuries.
  • In the original version, Skye talks to Zaizen because she is unaware of what an Ignis truly is in terms of their status as living beings. In the dub, she talks to him because Emma suggests that Zaizen was responsible for Earth's death.
  • In the original version, Yusaku only realizes that the Knights of Hanoi likely have a spy in SOL Technologies during his conversation with Ryoken, and this is treated as a new revelation, but is never followed up on in the series. The dub tones this down; Yusaku notes that he's already sure that the Knights of Hanoi have spies everywhere.
  • In the original version, Emma teases Skye for possibly dreaming of a boy. In the dub, she directly suggests Skye was dreaming of Playmaker.
  • In the original version, Mrs. Sugisaki believed Skye's lie of convincing Miyu to bring her ring to the playground. In the dub however, she sees through Skye's lie and does not forbid her and Miyu from seeing one another, but Skye never saw Miyu again since she and Akira moved away the following day.
