Differences in adaptations[edit]

  • When Yusaku leaves Café Nom in the original version, he bitterly remarks that SOL Technologies see humans and Ignis alike as tools. In the dub, he states that it's never okay to hurt anyone.
  • In the dub, Yusaku likens the conflict between humans and Ignis to his own desire for revenge after the Hanoi Project, and he directly admits that it ended up being pointless and that he wasted years of his life on the goal.
  • When Soulburner challenges Varis to a Duel in the original version, he wagers Flame on the outcome. In the dub, he does not.

  • For the first time, the dub discusses the notion of humans becoming worried that A.I. will surpass them one day and lash out, and A.I. fighting back to prevent that happen. Previously when the subject was brought up, it was attributed to a different cause.
