Differences in adaptations[edit]

  • Ai and Roboppi's identities are revealed in this episode in the dub, as opposed to the previous episode.
  • In the dub, Gore does not thank Playmaker for saving him. Playmaker brings up the subject in the dub, but Gore refuses to thank him.
  • The scene where Zaizen sends for Playmaker and Soulburner is cut from the dub.
  • In the original version, The Shepherd accuses Playmaker of knowing Ai's location. In the dub, he claims that Ai has been planning to betray them from the start, even though Ai saved his life.
  • In the original version, Skye is concerned that Zaizen is out of the office due to his safety. In the dub, she is simply concerned that he isn't at work.
  • In the original version, the Knights of Hanoi promise to turn themselves in once Ai is stopped. In the dub, Varis notes that he's the best Duelist present and they'll need him.
  • When Playmaker returns in the original version, he muses to himself that this will be a difficult battle. In the dub, he contacts his allies and apologizes for being late, explaining that Blue Maiden asked him to stay out of the fight, but came as there was still a slight chance the battle could end peacefully.
