Guidelines for the wording of anime and manga card lores are as follows:
Problem-Solving Card Text (PSCT for short) should only be applied to cards that have had releases that feature PSCT. Old cards that have not been released should not be edited to include speculation on what a proper PSCT lore should be. The term Fusion Deck should be used for cards that debuted prior to 5D's as the term Extra Deck was not used until 5D's.
Anime card lores[edit]
PSCT can and should be applied to cards that debuted in Yu-Gi-Oh! ZEXAL, as PSCT existed when ZEXAL aired. Cards from previous anime series should not be edited to include PSCT. Cards that are real and have had PSCT releases should not have their anime lores changed. Having the real lore say "banish" and the anime lore saying "removed from play" is preferred. Similarly, the words "Extra Deck" should not ever be used in anime lores for GX and earlier.
Manga card lores[edit]
Utilization is dependent on what the English edition of the manga uses. Keeping in mind that PSCT is not something ever utilized in Japan, the English edition is what matters. The final volume of Yu-Gi-Oh! GX utilized terms such as banish and "HERO". However, PSCT does not trump what is written on the card. An exact transcription of the English manga lore is preferred to anything else, even if said lore has improper formatting such a capitalizing "Field".
Exceptions are when the written anime and/or manga lores contradict how the card was played. The English manga incorrectly changed the lore of "Rose Bell of Revelation", while the Japanese anime used a written effect for "Toon World" that had nothing to do with what the card did in that arc.
