Yuma Tsukumo is a Duelist Construct of Yuma Tsukumo from the Yu-Gi-Oh! ZEXAL series in the Virtual Dueling System. He is also the last opponent and the final boss of ZEXAL Campaign mode that the player have to faced in Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Generation. The player has to defeat him in a 2 out of 3 Match in Stage 16-5 in order to unlock ARC-V Campaign mode and progress the next stage.

Appearance

As a Duelist Construct, his appearance is based on Yuma Tsukumo, and the outfit is one of the few clothes that Yuma wore and used when he is not wearing his Heartland Academy uniform in the Yu-Gi-Oh! ZEXAL anime series. Around his neck, he is wearing a special pendent known as the Golden Key, and that key was given to him by his missing father Kazuma Tsukumo. Later, the key will becomes a important artifact that symbolize the bonds between Yuma and his partner Astral. Besides the outfit, Yuma is also wearing a Duel Gazer over his left eye, and this device allows him to see and watch the augmented reality setting of a Duel.

Etymology

His given name "Yuma" when used in Japanese can either means "evening" or "horse". Also, the name "Yuma" could comes from a Native American origin, meaning "chief's son". His surname "Tsukumo" is from a Japanese origin, and the name can be translated as "ninety-nine". In the French version, he is simply refers to as "Yuma" while his surname "Tsukumo" was omitted.

Rewards

There are a total of six rewards that the player can earn and received after defeating the Duel Construct in a Duel. The first two rewards are cards that come from the Duel Construct's Deck and the third reward is a recipe for their Deck. Then the fourth, fifth and sixth rewards repeated the same process of the three earlier rewards, but in a harder difficulty with a different Deck. In addition, the sixth reward will allow the player to have the Duel Construct's avatar and the ability to Duel them anytime between the two difficulty.

As Yuma is a boss character, the player had to faced him in 2 out of 3 Match which can takes hour to defeat and receive the rewards. By defeating Yuma Tsukumo in a Duel for the first time, the player will unlocks and receives the achievement Zexal . In the third reward, after the player receives the Deck Recipe, IN4-M8 will rewards the player with an additional 5000 Duel Points. In the sixth reward, IN4-M8 will also gives a additional reward to the player similar to how the extra reward was received in the third reward, this time the player will be rewarded with 11000 Duel Points plus a extra 9000 Duel Points.
