Zera (ゼラ Zera) is a small series of monsters that represents the different destinies of "Warrior of Zera" in his storylines. The majority of the members of this series have 2800 ATK and 2300 DEF, symbolizing the monsters' equal level of power. However, the difference between them is how "Warrior of Zera" got his powers in the different branches of his lore.

As mentioned in its flavor text, "Zera" is on a journey to find "The Sanctuary in the Sky", and thus fights alone in order to avoid the temptation of the "Archfiends" and other evil fiends.

In his first possible outcome, "Warrior of Zera" manages to find "The Sanctuary in the Sky", becomes a herald ("Zeradias, Herald of Heaven") and eventually an Archlord, "Archlord Zerato". However, the existance of "Darklord Zerato" hints at a twisting of this fate. "Angel of Zera" may also represent an intermediate step between a herald and an Archlord.

In the second path, "Warrior of Zera" ends up in "Pandemonium" instead. Tempted by the "Archfiends", he finally accepts their offer and sides with them, becoming the powerful and evil "Mazera DeVille".

In the third path, "Warrior of Zera" undergoes a ritual ("Zera Ritual") to become "Zera the Mant". The relationship between the two is indicated by the appearance of the sword hilt of "Warrior of Zera".

Finally, Dimension Force introduced "Alghoul Mazera", the Zombie counterpart of "Warrior of Zera", sharing a similar name with "Mazera DeVille". Its place in the storyline is unknown, but as with the other Zombie counterparts, "Alghoul" is an undead version of "Warrior of Zera".
