A more polished gem is set in their elaborate crown, which floats above their head. Dark Meister's hair is tremendously long, reaching their feet. Design[edit]

Appearance[edit]

Full-body view of the Dark Meister.

The Dark Meister's appearance differs significantly from the other Darkmen. She is a tall lilac-skinned woman with purple hair that fades into black, and glowing magenta eyes. The Dark Meister's hair is tremendously long, reaching her feet. Three bangs hang over her mask, and below her shoulders, her hair twists into spirals resembling the double helix. She dresses in heavy and elaborate clothing with golden patterns set into it, including a dark purple robe that reaches her feet with wide shoulder pads and a high collar, and wears skintight darker clothing beneath this robe that exposes her hands, which have slender fingers with long nails. She wears a butterfly mask over her face. Unlike the other Darkmen, the gem she wears is not visibly part of her body, and is a cut amethyst set in a gold necklace. A more polished gem is set in her elaborate charcoal crown, which floats above her head.

Voice/mannerisms[edit]

The Dark Meister uses the personal pronoun 余 (yo), a very old, archaic pronoun used by shoguns or other rulers.

Biography[edit]

The Dark Meister sent Fukamura to infiltrate Valvelgear as it left Earth, with the goal of retrieving Zuwijo zir Velgear's Deck and Duel Disk.[1] Following Zeyet's loss to Yudias Velgear in a Rush Duel, she returned in disgrace to the Dark Meister's castle to report her failure to Dark Meister alongside Bruyea.[2] Fukamura returned shortly afterwards, having lost a Rush Duel to Manabu Sogetsu, but having successfully retrieved Zuwijo's Deck and Duel Disk without alerting the crew of Valvelgear to his true objective.[1]

Zuwijo was soon revived in Dark Matter Empire space, and both the Dark Meister and Kuyamuya detected his presence. The Dark Meister sent Fukamura to retrieve him, but when Fukamura brought him to the castle, Zuwijo unexpectedly roused himself and subdued Fukamura. The Dark Meister entered the hallway from her chamber and dispelled the conflict, introducing herself to Zuwijo, but refused to answer his questions, claiming the answer lay beyond a Rush Duel after she ordered Kuyamuya to return Zuwijo's Deck and Duel Disk to him. Although Zuwijo Summoned two high-Level monsters on his first turn, the Dark Meister easily destroyed them with "Dark Matter Dragon", its directly attack greatly damaging Zuwijo due to the effects of the Dark Matter Empire's space on intruding Rush Duelists. Zuwijo made a comeback by Fusion Summoning "Voidvelgr Gehennamagia", destroying the Dark Meister's Set "Fusion" and preventing them from using Spell Cards. Undettered by Zuwijo's efforts to lock her down and uncover the truth, the Dark Meister revived "Dark Matter Dragon" and told Zuwijo he would have to sink into darkness to know its truth, Summoning "Dark Matter Emperor Dragon" by Contact Fusion and defeating Zuwijo. Zuwijo resisted the pain of his defeat, but pledged himself to the Dark Meister.[3]

The Dark Meister subsequently sent Zuwijo to retrieve the curry bread from Valvelgear that Fukamura had claimed to be after.[4]

Deck[edit]

The Dark Meister uses a Dark Matter Deck. Her Dark Matter monsters are draconian, and several of them resemble the High Tech Dragons used by Yuamu Ohdo. Like the other Darkmen, her Deck revolves around gaining advantage from Set monsters; the effects of her ace monsters can destroy cards by having Set cards on her field. The Dark Meister can also use Contact Fusion, Fusion Summoning without the use of a Spell Card.
