OCG Rulings
- Gaining the following effect is not treated as a Flip, Continuous, Ignition, Trigger or Quick Effect.[1]
- The effect after the "●" is treated as an effect of the Xyz Monster that used this card as an Xyz Material that activates upon the successful Xyz Summon.[1]
- If two copies of "Heroic Challenger - Extra Sword" are used as Xyz Materials for a single Xyz Summon, when that Xyz Summon is successful, the effects of both copies of "Heroic Challenger - Extra Sword" that increase the ATK by 1000 will activate in a Chain. (As for the end result, that Xyz Monster will gain 2000 ATK).[2]
- If an Xyz Summon is performed using "Heroic Challenger - Extra Sword" as an Xyz Material, and the Xyz Monster that gained 1000 ATK is affected by "Skill Drain", so that the effect of gaining 1000 ATK upon its Xyz Summon is negated, the ATK of that Xyz Monster returns to its original ATK value.
