- This card is the Cover Card for the TCG collection Hidden Arsenal.
- This card is the 1st Sea Serpent-Type monster to be a Cover Card on a Booster Pack (and the 2nd to be a Cover Card of any set - the first was "Ocean Dragon Lord - Neo-Daedalus").
- This card's effect is similar to the effect of "Red Ogre".
- This card has a watered down version, "Abyss Soldier".
- "Brionac" is the name of a magic, living spear said to be owned by Lugh, a deity in Irish mythology.
