• This card can be searched by "Dogu", "Single Purchase", "Temple of the Kings", "Transmodify", "UFO Turtle", "Masked Dragon", "Chaos-End Master", "Ninjitsu Art of Super-Transformation", "Dragonic Guard", "Draconnection" and "Hieratic Dragon King of Atum".

• This card can be Tribute Summoned with one Tribute using "Totem Dragon", "Keeper of the Shrine", "Flame Ruler" and "The First Monarch".

• Use cards like "Foolish Burial" or "Dragon Ravine" to more efficiently send this card to the Graveyard, so that you can later Special Summon it to trigger its first effect.
  • "Dragon Ravine" is especially good since it can discard any spare copies of this card that end up in your hand.

• "Paladin of Felgrand" can be very efficient in eliminating copies of this card from your Deck, by equipping them to itself. When that monster leaves the field, this equipped card will be sent to the Graveyard, where you can Special Summon it to trigger its first effect.
  • If you control another monster, you can even Special Summon this card immediately by using the last effect of "Paladin of Felgrand" (assuming there was already a monster in the Graveyard that could have been targeted by that effect).

• Use cards like "Call of the Haunted", "Gospel of Revival", or "Oasis of Dragon Souls" to easily Special Summon this card and trigger its first effect (preferably activating "Oasis of Dragon Souls" during your opponent's End Phase).

• In a Dragon-Type Deck, "Red-Eyes Darkness Metal Dragon" is a good choice to trigger this card's first effect.

• If this card ends up in your hand, use cards/effects that discard to place it in the Graveyard.
  • In a Dragon-Type Deck, "Divine Dragon Apocralyph" is a great choice for this, especially when retrieving a "Red-Eyes Darkness Metal Dragon" that can subsequently Special Summon this card.

Traditional Format

• This card can be searched by "Tempest, Dragon Ruler of Storms", "Blaster, Dragon Ruler of Infernos", "Sangan", "Last Will" and "Witch of the Black Forest".

• Using "Future Fusion", you can quickly dump 3 "Darkblaze Dragons" into your Graveyard, as well as 2 other Dragons.
