  • This card was known as "Reborn the Monster" in the first 27 episodes of the dub.
  • In episode 33, this card appears when Yami Yugi explains to Joey that Duel Monsters is about the balance between Monsters and Spell and Trap Cards.

Battle City

  • In episode 53, this card appears on a poster that Yugi and Téa read when they find a game store that was selling Duel Monster cards.
  • In episode 85, this card can be seen when Yugi is rebuilding his Deck.
  • In episode 96, this card is shown in Yami Bakura's hand during his Duel against Yami Marik. Yami Marik takes this card from Yami Bakura's hand via the effect of Yami Bakura's "Exchange". In the next episode, Marik activates this card to Special Summon his own "The Winged Dragon of Ra".
    • In the second above-mentioned episode, this card appears in Kaiba's thoughts when he learns that most Trap Cards don't work on the Egyptian God Cards and that Spell Cards affect them for only one turn.

Virtual World

  • In episode 103, this card appears in a flashback Téa has when she remembers Yugi talking about "Maha Vailo" looking similar to him and having a great power inside its effect.
    • This card alsp appears in a flashback Téa has when she remembers selecting "Sage's Stone" while building her Deck.
  • In episode 109, this card appears in a flashback Leichter has when he explains to Seto that his treachery began when Gozaburo gave him a large amount of dollars to test Seto's business skills.
  • In episode 111, this card is seen in The Big Five's hand during their Duel against Yugi and Joey. Crump intended to use this card to revive "The Legendary Fisherman" as part of his strategy to get the upper hand again (he also planned to activate "A Legendary Ocean" which would complete his plan on rebuilding the Big Five's previous combo). However Yugi thwarts Crump's strategy by activating "Card Destruction", which forces all players to discard their hand and redraw a new one.

Battle City Finals

  • In episode 136, Joey activates this card against Kaiba to Special Summon Kaiba's "Blue-Eyes White Dragon" which was destroyed by Graverobber mimicking "Enemy Controller". Later, Kaiba attacks "Blue-Eyes White Dragon" with "Blue-Eyes White Dragon", resulting in a Double KO. Kaiba then activates his own copy of "Monster Reborn" to Special Summon one of his "Blue-Eyes White Dragons" that was destroyed.
  • In episode 138, Yami Marik uses this card during his Duel against Yami Yugi. He adds this card from his deck to his hand via "Left Arm Offering". Yugi then activates"Exchange" to take this card from Yami Marik. Yami Yugi then activates this card to Special Summon his "Queen's Knight". Later "Slifer the Sky Dragon" attacks Yami Marik directly, but Yami Marik activates "Dark Spell Regeneration" to activate "Monster Reborn" from the Graveyard to Special Summon "The Winged Dragon of Ra". In the next episode, Marik activates "Zombie's Jewel" to add "Monster Reborn" from the Graveyard to his hand and activates it to Special Summon "The Winged Dragon of Ra" for a second time. In the following episode, Marik activates "Magical Stone Excavation" to add "Monster Reborn" from the Graveyard to his hand. In the next episode, Marik uses this card to Special Summon "Ra" for the third time. Yami Marik then activates the "Egyptian God Phoenix" effect of "Ra" to destroy "Obelisk the Tormentor", but Yugi activates his own "Monster Reborn" to Special Summon his own "Slifer the Sky Dragon" and use it to intercept the effect, destroying "Slifer" and saving "Obelisk".
    • In the first above-mentioned episode, this card appears in a flashback Joey has when he remembers his Duel with Yami Marik and when he is explaining to his friends that Yami Marik just needs this card in order to bring "The Winged Dragon of Ra" out because many of its devastating effects can be activated when it's revived.

Waking the Dragons

  • In episode 148, this card appears in Yugi's thoughts when Yami Yugi notes that although Pegasus no longer has the Millennium Eye, he was the chosen one and he was the creator of Duel Monsters.
  • In episode 171, Joey activates this card to Special Summon his own "Rocket Warrior". Later Valon uses his own copy to Special Summon his own "Buster Pyle". Joey then activates "Scapegoat" to summon four Sheep Tokens. The effect of "Lord of the Red" then activates, destroying all other monsters on the field.
  • In episode 183, this card appears in a flashback that Rafael has while trapped within the Great Leviathan when he remembers seeing his family's graves and Yami Yugi using this card to revive "Guardian Eatos".

KC Grand Championship

Dawn of the Duel

  • In episode 200, Kaiba uses this card during his Duel against Yami Bakura to Special Summon one of his two "Blue-Eyes White Dragons" in his Graveyard.
    • This card also appears within Kaiba's briefcase when he opens it up and takes his Duel Disk with him.
  • In episode 224, Yugi activates "Gold Sarcophagus" against Yami Yugi and banishes this card from his deck, Face-down. Later Yami Yugi activates "Monster Reborn" to Special Summon his "Slifer the Sky Dragon" (whose ATK became 4000 due to Yami having four cards in his hand). Yugi then activates the effect of "Gold Sarcophagus" to reveal the card he banished. To Yami Yugi's shock, the banished card was this card. Due to the effect of "Gold Sarcophagus", the effect of Yami's copy is negated. This means that "Slifer the Sky Dragon" goes back to the Graveyard.
    • Ishizu Ishtar comments during the Duel that this card represents Yugi's final message to Yami: "The dead should not linger in the world of the living".

  • In episode 4, Syrus Truesdale is shown wearing three copies of this card on his headband while he was praying to "Slifer the Sky Dragon" to do well in a test. Another copy of this card was shown on the table that Syrus was kneeling in front of.
  • In episode 21, this card can be seen when Jaden rebuilds his Deck.
  • In episode 23, this card can be seen when Jaden rebuilds his Deck.
  • In episode 66, this card appears in a flashback Jaden has when he sees Wheeler as Zane which makes Jaden remember his first Duel against Zane.
  • In episode 156, this card appears in a flashback to episode 2.

  • In episode 1, this card is shown as part of Yuma Tsukumo's Deck when he gathers it up from his desk at the start of the episode.
  • In episode 7, two copies of this card appear as part of Yuma's Deck when he drops it.
  • In episode 10, Yuma plays this card against Shark to Special Summon his "Gogogo Golem" Overlays it with "Gagaga Magician" to Xyz Summon "Number 39: Utopia".
  • In episode 21, this card appears as one of Lilly's cards when they fly through the air.
  • In episode 44, this card appears when Yuma rebuilds his Deck.
  • In episode 82, this card appears when Yuam rebuilds his Deck.
