Circular (円（えん）喚（かん） Enkan) is a small series of WIND Tuner and Synchro monsters introduced in Photon Hypernova.

Design

The monsters are themed around fairy rings and fairy circles, which are two types of naturally occurring, circular interruptions in the landscape, the former being caused by fungal growth. Such patches of terrain seem anomalous (and are not fully understood yet scientifically), and have taken on significance in folklore, particularly in places such as Ireland.

Playing style

The series serve as a small engine that supports Insect and Plant decks to swarm the field and potentially Synchro Summon.

Trivia

• Despite their English names, none of the monsters are Fairy-Type.
