"Magician of Black Chaos" then became free from the effect of Pegasus' "Thousand-Eyes Restrict".

* In episode 99, this card is shown when Yami Yugi was trying to choose which monster should be his Deck Master. Yugi was about to choose "Dark Magician" since it never let him down previously, but this card immediately chose itself as Yugi's Deck Master. Yugi had no other choice but to make this card his Deck Master for his Duel against Gansley as once a Deck Master is chosen, it can't be changed. Two episodes later, Gansley's "Ruklamba the Spirit King" attacks Yami Yugi directly, but this monster activates its Deck Master ability to negate the damage that Yugi would take, but this also puts this monster on the field, putting it in danger of being destroyed (when a Deck Master is destroyed, the player automatically loses). On the final turn of the Duel, Yami Yugi equips this card with "Rainbow Blessing". He then Normal Summons "Swift Gaia the Fierce Knight" without Tribute via its own effect. Yami Yugi then Tributes this card in order to activate the effect of "Rainbow Blessing", allowing "Swift Gaia the Fierce Knight" to attack directly this turn. "Swift Gaia the Fierce Knight" then attacks Gansley directly (Gansley is unable to activate his "Deepsea Warrior's" Deck Master Ability as it doesn't work against direct attacks), winning Yugi the duel.

Yu-Gi-Oh![edit]

Duelist Kingdom[edit]

• In episode 5, Yugi Muto uses this card during his Duel against Weevil Underwood. After Yugi Normal Summons this card in Defense Position, Weevil activates "Parasite Worm" to destroy this monster and inflict damage to Yugi equal to its ATK.
• In episode 24, Yami Yugi uses this card during his Duel against Seto Kaiba. After Summoning this card, Yugi activates "Multiply" to transform this card into an ever-multiplying wall that not even Kaiba's "Blue-Eyes Ultimate Dragon" is capable of destroying. "Blue-Eyes Ultimate Dragon" then attacks the wall, but it does no damage to Yugi and the wall reforms itself. Yugi then activates "Living Arrow" to use "Polymerization" to fuse "Mammoth Graveyard" onto "Blue-Eyes Ultimate Dragon" and create an imperfect fusion that would decrease the ATK of Kaiba's monster by 1200 during each of Yami Yugi's End Phases. On Yami Yugi's End Phase, "Blue-Eyes Ultimate Dragon" loses 1200 ATK. "Blue-Eyes Ultimate Dragon" then attacks the wall, but the attack fails to destroy the wall. On Yami Yugi's End Phase, "Blue-Eyes Ultimate Dragon" loses 1200 ATK. "Blue-Eyes Ultimate Dragon" then attacks the wall, but the attack fails to destroy it. On Yami Yugi's End Phase, "Blue-Eyes Ultimate Dragon" loses 1200 more ATK. This card remained on the field until the Duel was over.
• In episode 30, Yami Yugi uses this card during his Duel against Mai Valentine. He Summons this card in Attack Position. On the last turn of the Duel, Yugi activates "Black Luster Ritual" to Tribute this card and "Gaia The Fierce Knight" and Ritual Summon "Black Luster Soldier".
• This card also appears in a flashback Yami Yugi has when he remembers his Duel against Kaiba on top of the castle and Kaiba wagering his life right when Yami Yugi was about to win. Yami notes that he thought if he had lost, he would have lost his pride as a duelist, but instead he realized something else.
• In episode 35, this card can be seen when Yugi looks through his Deck before his duel with Pegasus begins.
• In episode 38, this card is shown in Yami Yugi's hand during his Duel against Maximillion Pegasus. In the next episode, Yami Yugi sets this monster in Defense Position. When Pegasus's "Thousand-Eyes Restrict" tries to equip itself with Yugi's "Magician of Black Chaos", Yami Yugi reveals that the set monster he had was this card. He then activates "Multiply" to create a "Kuriboh" wall in front of "Magician of Black Chaos". This forces Pegasus' "Thousand-Eyes Restrict" to absorb the Kuribohs and gain ATK equal to the ATK of "Kuriboh". The Kuriboh swarm then self-destructs, resulting in Pegasus's "Thousand-Eyes Restrict" being blinded and its effects negated. Yugi then took damage equal to this card's ATK. "Magician of Black Chaos" then became free from the effect of Pegasus' "Thousand-Eyes Restrict".

Legendary Heroes[edit]

• In episode 45, Yami Yugi Summons this card and uses "Catapult Turtle's" effect to launch it at the Great Moths" that were going after Yugi and his friends. He then activates "Multiply" to turn this card into many Kuriboh clones which were used by "Catapult Turtle" to destroy the swarm of "Great Moths" since this card self destructs upon making physical contact with enemy monsters.

Battle City[edit]

• In episode 60, this card is seen in Yugi's hand during his Duel against Arkana. On the third turn of the Duel, Yugi discards this card due to the effect of "Card Destruction".
• In episode 68, Yami Yugi uses this card during his Tag Duel with Kaiba against Rare Hunter 2 and Rare Hunter 3. He Summons this card in Defense Position. Yugi didn't make any use this card or his set cards as he respected Kaiba's wishes to not interact in the duel. This card remained on the field until the Duel was over.
• In episode 71, Yami Yugi uses this card during his Tag Duel with Kaiba against Lumis and Umbra. He Summons this card in Defense Position. Later, Yugi activates "Multiply" to protect Kaiba from a direct attack made by Umbra's "Shining Abyss". Later Lumis activates "Mask of Dispel" to negate the effect of "Multiply". This turns the wall created by "Multiply" back into one monster. Lumis's "Grand Tiki Elder" then attacks and destroys this card.
• In episode 82, this card appears in a flashback Joey has when he passes by Odion (posing as Marik) and remembers Marik possessing him to Duel Yami Yugi and get what Marik desires.
• In episode 85, this card can be seen when Yugi is rebuilding his Deck.

Virtual World[edit]

• In episode 99, this card is shown when Yami Yugi was trying to choose which monster should be his Deck Master. Yugi was about to choose "Dark Magician" since it never let him down previously, but this card immediately chose itself as Yugi's Deck Master. Yugi had no other choice but to make this card his Deck Master for his Duel against Gansley as once a Deck Master is chosen, it can't be changed. In the next episode, this card was still on the sidelines. In the following episode, Gansley's "Ruklamba the Spirit King" attacks directly, but this monster activates its Deck Master ability to negate the damage that Yugi would take, but this also puts this monster on the field, putting it in danger of being destroyed (when a Deck Master is destroyed, the player automatically loses). On the final turn of the Duel, Yami Yugi equips this card with "Rainbow Blessing". He then Normal Summons "Swift Gaia the Fierce Knight" without Tribute via its own effect. Yami Yugi then Tributes this card in order to activate the effect of "Rainbow Blessing", allowing "Swift Gaia the Fierce Knight" to attack directly this turn (as the Deck Master Ability of "Deepsea Warrior" doesn't work against direct attacks).
• In the first above-mentioned episode, this card appears when Yami Yugi was building his Virtual World Deck for his Duel against Gansley.
• In the second above-mentioned episode, this card appears in a flashback Yami Yugi has when he notes he can't attack with "Chimera" again as Gansley will use his Deck Master's ability to negate the attack and inflict damage to Yugi equal to the ATK of "Chimera".
• In episode 103, this card appears in a flashback Téa Gardner has when she remembers Yugi talking about "Maha Vailo" looking similar to him and having a great power inside its effect.
• In episode 108, this card can be seen when Seto Kaiba was building his Virtual World Deck for his Duel against Leichter.
• This card also appears in a flashback explained by Leichter when he reminds Seto that his birthday gift from Gozaburo Kaiba was where all the mistakes made by Seto himself began.
• In episode 117, Yami Yugi uses this card during his Duel against Noah Kaiba. After this card is Summoned, Yugi uses this card to attack directly. On Yugi's next turn, he switches this card to Defense Position. Later Noah Flip Summons "Otohime" and activates its effect to switch this card to Attack Position. Noah's "Yamata Dragon" then attacks this card. In the next episode, the attack destroys this card, but Yugi activates "Nutrient Z" to increase his Life Points by 4000 before the damage is subtracted from his Life Points. The Deck Master Ability of "Shinato, King of a Higher Plane" then activates, increasing Noah's Life Points by the damage Yami Yugi took. Noah then activates "Sebek's Blessing" to increase his Life Points by the Battle Damage Yami Yugi took.

Battle City Finals[edit]

• In episode 129, during Yugi's Duel against Kaiba, this card can be seen when Yugi searches his Deck via Kaiba's "Lullaby of Obedience". Two episodes later, Kaiba activates the effect of "Obelisk the Tormentor" to Tribute "Blade Knight" and "Sword of Soul", destroy all of Yugi's monsters, and inflict 4000 damage to Yugi ("Slifer" was already immune to the effect due to its status as an Egyptian God, but Kaiba's true aim was Yugi's Life Points, hence why he used the effect of "Obelisk the Tormentor"). Yugi then discards this card from his hand to nullify the damage he would have taken from the effect of "Obelisk the Tormentor". Yugi then thanks this monster as he would have lost the duel without its help. Kaiba then becomes greatly angered that Yugi would defy and mock his Egyptian God's power with this card.
• In the first above-mentioned episode, this card is seen in a flashback Yugi has when he remembers the last time he used "Exchange" and how the latter card helped him save Joey from Marik's mind control.
• In episode 135, this card is seen in a series of flashbacks that Yugi has when he notes to himself that his rivalry with Kaiba allowed him to fight harder and reach new heights.
• In episode 138, this card is shown in Yami Yugi's hand during his Duel against Yami Marik. In the next episode, this card appears in a flashback Yami Marik has when he explains to Yami Yugi that he used "De-Fusion" to avoid losing the Duel and when he explains how he got the said card from Yugi. Three episodes later, Yugi banishes this card in order to activate "Ragnarok". This card was then shown as one of the many monsters that were used to hold down Yami Marik's "The Winged Dragon of Ra".

Waking the Dragons[edit]

• In episode 146, this card is shown in Yami Yugi's hand during his Duel against Gurimo. He discards this card and an unknown Spell Card in order to activate "Magical Academy".
• In episode 156, Yami Yugi uses this card during his Duel against Rafael. He Special Summons this card, "Kuribah", "Kuribee", "Kuribeh", and "Kuriboo" through the effect of "Five Star Twilight". He then removes the five Kuriboh brothers from play in order to Special Summon "Kuribabylon".
