Yu-Gi-Oh!

• In Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel 10: "The Cards with Teeth (Part 2)", Yugi Mutou used this card to revive his grandfather's "Blue-Eyes White Dragon", which Seto Kaiba had attempted to use.

Duelist Kingdom

• This card was known as "Reborn the Monster" in the first 27 episodes of the dub. After that, this card went by its proper TCG name.

• In episode 10, Yami Yugi uses this card during his Duel against Ghost Kaiba. He uses this card to Special Summon one of the two "Blue-Eyes White Dragons" in Ghost Kaiba's Graveyard to his side of the field.

• In episode 13, Yami Yugi uses this card during his Duel against Yami Bakura. He uses this card to revive "Cyber Commander" (which contained Tristan Taylor's soul at the time). Later Yami Yugi Flips "Magician of Faith" (that contained Téa Gardner's soul at the time) face-up in order to activate its Flip Effect, allowing Yami Yugi to return this card from his Graveyard to his hand. Yami Yugi then uses this card to revive "Flame Swordsman" (which contained Joey Wheeler's soul at the time), which saves Joey from being destroyed by the "Reaper of the Cards" spirit.

• In episode 21, Yami Yugi uses this card during his Tag Duel with Joey Wheeler against the Paradox Brothers. He uses this card to revive Dox's "Suijin" under his control.

• In episode 24, Seto Kaiba uses this card during his Duel against Yami Yugi. He uses this card to revive his "Blue-Eyes White Dragon" as a third head for his "Blue-Eyes Ultimate Dragon" (which had its ATK reduced down to 900 thanks to the combo involving "Mammoth Graveyard", "Polymerization" and "Living Arrow").

• In episode 27, Kaiba uses this card during his Duel against Maximillion Pegasus. He uses this card to revive "Saggi the Dark Clown". This was the only move Kaiba could make due to "Crush Card Virus" obliterating all of the cards in his Deck except this card.

• In episode 30, Yami Yugi and Mai Valentine both use this card during their Duel against each other. Mai uses her copy to revive "Harpie's Pet Dragon". Later Yugi uses his own copy to revive "Gaia The Fierce Knight".

• In episode 33, this card appears when Yami Yugi explains to Joey that Duel Monsters is about the balance between Monster, Spell and Trap Cards.

• In episode 34, Yami Yugi uses this card during his Duel against Joey. He uses this card to revive Joey's "Black Skull Dragon" under his control.

• In episode 42, Yugi Muto uses this card during his Duel against Rebecca Hawkins. He uses this card to revive "Dark Magician".

Battle City

• In episode 53, this card appears on a poster that Yugi and Téa Gardner read when they find a game store that was selling Duel Monster cards.

• In episode 57, Yami Yugi uses this card during his Duel against Seeker. He uses this card to revive "Chimera the Flying Mythical Beast".

• In episode 61, Yami Yugi and Arkana both use this card during their Duel against each another. Both players use this card to revive their "Dark Magician" after both "Dark Magicians" were destroyed in a Double KO.

• In episode 67, Yami Yugi uses this card during his Duel against Strings while the latter was possessed by Marik Ishtar. He uses this card to revive "Buster Blader". This activates the effect of "Card of Safe Return", allowing Strings to draw three cards. This also activates the second mouth effect of "Slifer the Sky Dragon", decreasing the ATK of "Buster Blader" by 2000.

• In episode 70, this card was shown in Kaiba's hand during his Tag Duel with Yami Yugi against Lumis and Umbra. In the next episode, Kaiba activates this card to revive his "Blue-Eyes White Dragon".

• In episode 83, Yami Yugi uses this card during his Duel against Yami Bakura. He uses this card to revive Bakura's "Dark Necrofear". This cancels out Bakura's "Dark Sanctuary" since "Dark Necrofear" was no longer in Bakura's Graveyard.

• In episode 85, this card can be seen when Yugi is rebuilding his Deck.

• In episode 87, Joey Wheeler uses this card during his Duel against Odion. He uses this card to revive his "Alligator's Sword".

• In episode 93, this card is shown in Ishizu Ishtar's hand during her Duel against Seto Kaiba. She is forced to discard this card and "Spell Reproduction" from her hand via "Michizure of Doom". In the next episode, this card is shown in Ishizu's Graveyard as "Exchange of the Spirit" swaps the cards in both players' Decks with the cards in their Graveyards.

• In episode 96, this card is shown in Yami Bakura's hand during his Duel against Yami Marik. Yami Marik takes this card from Yami Bakura's hand via the effect of Yami Bakura's "Exchange". In the next episode, Marik activates this card to revive "The Winged Dragon of Ra".
  • In the second above-mentioned episode, this card appears in Kaiba's thoughts when he learns that most Trap Cards don't work on the Egyptian God Cards and that Spell Cards affect them for only one turn.

Virtual World

• In episode 99, this card appears when Yami Yugi was building his Virtual World Deck for his Duel against Gansley.

• In episode 102, this card can be seen when Téa Gardner was building her Virtual World Deck for her Duel against Crump.

• In episode 103, this card appears in a flashback Téa has when she remembers Yugi talking about "Maha Vailo" looking similar to him and having a great power inside its effect.
  • This card also appears in a flashback Téa has when she remembers selecting "Sage's Stone" while building her Deck.

• In episode 106, this card can be seen when Duke Devlin, Tristan Taylor, and Serenity Wheeler were building their Virtual World Decks for their Duel against Nezbitt.

• In episode 108, this card can be seen when Seto Kaiba was building his Virtual World Deck for his Duel against Leichter.

• In episode 109, this card appears in a flashback Leichter has when he explains to Seto that his treachery began when Gozaburo gave him a large amount of dollars to test Seto's business skills.

• In episode 111, this card is seen in the Big Five's hand during their Duel against Yugi and Joey. Crump intended to use this card to revive "The Legendary Fisherman" as part of his strategy to get the upper hand again (and also planned to activate "A Legendary Ocean" which would complete his plan on rebuilding the Big Five's previous combo). However Yugi thwarts Crump's strategy by activating "Card Destruction", which forces all players to discard their hand and redraw a new one.

• In episode 118, Yami Yugi uses this card during his Duel against Noah Kaiba. He uses this card to revive Seto's "Blue-Eyes White Dragon" (as this was because this Duel was a continuation of Noah's Duel with Kaiba and Noah destroyed "Blue-Eyes White Dragon" with his "Shinato, King of a Higher Plane").

• In episode 121, Kaiba uses this card during his Duel against Gozaburo Kaiba. He uses this card to revive "Ancient Lamp".

Battle City Finals

• In episode 127, Yami Marik uses this card during his Duel against Joey Wheeler. He uses this card to revive "The Winged Dragon of Ra".

• In episode 132, Yami Yugi and Seto Kaiba each use this card during their duel against each other. Yugi uses his copy to revive "Dark Magician". Later "Dark Magician" attacks "Lord of D.", but Seto activates "Magical Trick Mirror" to activate Yugi's copy as his card, allowing Kaiba to revive "Obelisk the Tormentor" and use to intercept the attack. This causes the attack to fail. Two episodes later, Kaiba activates his own copy to revive "Blue-Eyes White Dragon". He then activates "Polymerization" to fuse his three "Blue-Eyes White Dragons" together and Fusion Summon "Blue-Eyes Ultimate Dragon". Yugi then activates "Double Spell" to activate both Spell Cards that Kaiba activated this turn. First, Yugi uses the effect of Kaiba's copy to revive "Buster Blader". Next, Yugi uses the effect of "Polymerization" to fuse "Dark Magician" with "Buster Blader" in order to Fusion Summon "Dark Paladin".

• In episode 136, Joey and Kaiba both use this card during their Duel against each other. Joey used his copy of this card to revive Kaiba's "Blue-Eyes White Dragon" (which Joey destroyed via "Enemy Controller" which Joey used via "Graverobber") under his control. Later Kaiba attacks "Blue-Eyes White Dragon" with another "Blue-Eyes White Dragon", destroying both monsters in a Double KO. Kaiba then activates his own copy of this card to revive one of the "Blue-Eyes White Dragons" that was destroyed.

• In episode 138, Yami Marik uses this card during his Duel against Yami Yugi. He adds this card from his Deck to his hand via "Left Arm Offering". Yugi then activates"Exchange" to take this card from Yami Marik. Yami Yugi then activates this card to revive "Queen's Knight". Later "Slifer the Sky Dragon" attacks Yami Marik directly, but Yami Marik activates "Dark Spell Regeneration" to activate this card from the Graveyard and revive "Ra". In the next episode, Marik activates "Zombie's Jewel" to add this card from the Graveyard to his hand. He then activates this card to revive "Ra" again. In the following episode, Marik activates "Magical Stone Excavation" to add this card from the Graveyard to his hand. In the next episode, Marik uses this card to revive "Ra" again. Yami Marik then activates the "Egyptian God Phoenix" effect of "Ra" to destroy "Obelisk the Tormentor", but Yugi activates his own copy of this card to revive "Slifer the Sky Dragon" and use it to intercept the effect, destroying "Slifer" and saving "Obelisk".
  • In the first above-mentioned episode, this card appears in a flashback Joey has when he remembers his Duel with Yami Marik and when he is explaining to his friends that Yami Marik just needs this card in order to bring "The Winged Dragon of Ra" out because many of its devastating effects can be activated when it's revived.

Waking the Dragons

• In episode 145, Gurimo uses this card during his Duel against Yami Yugi. He uses this card to revive "Marauding Captain". In the next episode, Yugi activates his own copy of this card to revive "Valkyrion the Magna Warrior".

• In episode 148, this card appears in Yugi's thoughts when Yami Yugi notes that although Pegasus no longer has the Millennium Eye, he was the chosen one and he was the creator of Duel Monsters.

• In episode 150, Seto Kaiba uses this card during his Duel against Alister. He uses this card to revive "Blue-Eyes White Dragon".

• In episode 153, this card is shown in Joey Wheeler's hand during his Duel against Mai Valentine. In the next episode, Joey activates this card to revive "The Fiend Megacyber".

• In episode 159, this card is shown when Weevil Underwood and Rex Raptor are taken to a vault within Paradius's headquarters that contains copies of every card in existence (with the exception of the Legendary Dragons and the Egyptian Gods).

• In episode 163, Yugi Muto uses this card during his Duel against Yami Yugi. He uses this card to revive "Dark Magician Girl". In the same Duel, this card is shown in Yami Yugi's hand, but he discards it due to the effect of "Card Destruction".

• In episode 167, Kaiba uses this card during his Duel against Alister. He uses this card to revive "Y-Dragon Head".

• In episode 171, Joey and Valon both use this card during their Duel against each other. Joey uses this card to revive "Rocket Warrior". Later, Valon uses his own copy to revive "Buster Pyle". Joey then activates "Scapegoat" to summon four Sheep Tokens. The effect of "Lord of the Red" then activates, destroying all other monsters on the field.

• In episode 172, this card is shown in Mai's hand during her Duel against Joey. In the next episode, Mai activates this card to revive one of her "Cyber Harpie Ladys".

• In episode 174, Yami Yugi uses this card during his Duel against Rafael. He uses this card to revive "Queen's Knight". In the next episode, Yami Yugi activates the effect of "Amulet Dragon" to banish all Spell Cards from his Graveyard and increase its ATK by 300 for each Spell Card banished this way. In the following episode, Rafael discards this card in order to activate "Orichalcos Sword of Sealing". Later Yami Yugi activates "Spider Web" to take Rafael's copy and add it to his hand. Yami Yugi then activates Rafael's copy in order to revive "Guardian Eatos".

• In episode 183, this card appears in a flashback that Rafael has while trapped within the Great Leviathan when he remembers seeing his family's graves and Yami Yugi using this card to revive "Guardian Eatos".

Grand Championship

• In episode 195, Kaiba uses this card during his Duel against Zigfried von Schroeder. He uses this card to revive "Blue-Eyes White Dragon".

• In episode 198, Leon von Schroeder and Yami Yugi both use this card during their Duel against each other. Leon uses his copy to revive "Cinderella. This activates the latter's effect, allowing Leon to Special Summon "Pumpkin Carriage" from the Graveyard. Later Yugi activates his own copy to revive "Dark Magician".

Dawn of the Duel

• In episode 200, Kaiba uses this card during his Duel against Yami Bakura. He uses this card to revive on of the two "Blue-Eyes White Dragons" in his Graveyard.
  • This card also appears within Kaiba's briefcase when he opens it up and takes his Duel Disk with him.

• In episode 224, Yugi Muto and Yami Yugi both use this card during their Duel against each other. Yugi activates "Gold Sarcophagus" to banish this card from his Deck. Later Yami Yugi activates his copy to revive "Slifer the Sky Dragon" (whose ATK became 4000 due to Yami having four cards in his hand). Yugi then activates the effect of "Gold Sarcophagus" to reveal the card he banished. To Yami Yugi's shock, the banished card was this card. Due to the effect of "Gold Sarcophagus", the effect of Yami's copy is negated. This means that "Slifer the Sky Dragon" goes back to the Graveyard.
  • Ishizu Ishtar comments during the Duel that this card represents Yugi's final message to Yami: "The dead should not linger in the world of the living".

Yu-Gi-Oh! GX

Seven Stars

• In episode 1, this card was shown in Jaden Yuki's hand during his Duel against Vellian Crowler. Dr. Crowler later activates "Confiscation" to send this card from Jaden's hand to the Graveyard.

• In episode 2, Jaden Yuki tries to activate this card during his Duel against Chazz Princeton, but he never got the chance to do so. Jaden had intended to use this card to revive "Elemental Hero Flame Wingman" and use "Flame Wingman" to attack and destroy Chazz's "Mefist the Infernal General" and win the Duel, but the Duel ends prematurely due to external influences. Jaden later revealed to Alexis Rhodes that this card was the card he drew on the last turn of the Duel.

• In episode 3, Jaden uses this card during his Duel against Alexis Rhodes. He uses this card to revive "Elemental Hero Sparkman".

• In episode 4, Syrus Truesdale is shown wearing three copies of this card on his headband while he was praying to "Slifer the Sky Dragon" to do well in a test. Another copy of this card was shown on the table that Syrus was kneeling in front of.

• In episode 8, Zane Truesdale uses this card during his Duel against Jaden. He uses this card to revive "Cyber Dragon".

• In episode 10, Para uses this card during his Tag Duel with Dox against Jaden and Syrus. He uses this card to revive "Jirai Gumo".

• In episode 20, this card appears when Blair Flannigan drops Zane's Deck.

• In episode 21, this card can be seen when Jaden rebuilds his Deck.

• In episode 23, this card can be seen when Jaden rebuilds his Deck.

• In episode 66, this card appears in a flashback Jaden has when he sees Wheeler as Zane which makes Jaden remember his first Duel against Zane.

Society of Light

• In episode 85, Franz draws this card during his Duel against Jaden. He draws this card via the effect of Jaden's "Neo-Spacian Glow Moss". This would mean that the attack made by "Glow Moss" attack can be changed to a direct attack, however Franz activates "De-Fusion" to separate himself from "Ra", decrease the ATK and DEF of "Ra" to 0, and increase his Life Points by the ATK of "Ra". "Glow Moss" then attacks and destroys "The Winged Dragon of Ra". After "Elemental HERO Neos" attacks directly, Franz had intended to activate this card on his next turn in order to Special Summon "Ra" from his Graveyard and win the Duel. Franz never got the chance to do so as Jaden defeated Franz before that could happen.

Dimension World

• In episode 156, this card is shown in a flashback Alexis has when remembers her first Duel against Jaden and notes that even when he had a few Life Points and no monsters on his side of the field, he believed in the strength of his draws and stood tall.
  • This card is also shown in a flashback Alexis has when she reveals to Chazz that although he believed he had Jaden completely cornered during their first Duel, he (Chazz) might not have actually won. Alexis then reveals that the card Jaden drew before the Duel got called off was "Monster Reborn" and Jaden was going to use it to revive "Flame Wingman" and win the Duel. Chazz got mad at this revelation and demanded Jaden to come back, so he can defeat him (as initially he didn't care about Jaden not coming back).

Yu-Gi-Oh! ZEXAL

• In Aim For Number 1 in the World!, Yuma draws this card while Dueling Astral.

Pre-World Duel Carnival

• In episode 1, this card is shown as part of Yuma Tsukumo's Deck when he gathers it up from his desk at the start of the episode.

• In episode 2, Yuma plays this card against Shark. He revives his "Gagaga Magician". He overlays that card with "Ganbara Knight" to Xyz Summon "Number 39: Utopia".

• In episode 7, two copies of this card appear as part of Yuma's Deck when he drops it.

• In episode 10, Yuma plays this card against Shark. He Special Summons "Gogogo Golem" from his Graveyard and overlays it with "Gagaga Magician" to Xyz Summon "Utopia".

• In episode 12, Yuma plays this card while teaming with Shark against Scorch and Chills. He revives Shark's "Black Ray Lancer" and uses it in a combo with "Utopia" and "Armored Xyz" to win.

Later, Pegasus activates this card, Special Summoning "Toon Cyber Dragon", which was destroyed by battle last turn by Marik's "Gravekeeper's Assailant" (which had 2000 ATK due to the effect of Marik's "Necrovalley"), in Attack Position from his Graveyard.

Video games

• Anna, Delta, Maha Vailo, Marie and The MC use this in Yu-Gi-Oh! 5D's World Championship 2009: Stardust Accelerator.
