This card would reduce the targeted monster's ATK by 700, like Shadow Spell does in the TCG/OCG.

Duelist Kingdom=

  • In episode 10, Yami Yugi used this card during his Duel against Ghost Kaiba. After Ghost Kaiba attacks and destroys a second hat with "Blue-Eyes White Dragon", this card activates, paralyzing "Blue-Eyes White Dragon" and decreasing its ATK by 700. Yugi then released his "Dark Magician" from the hat it was hiding in. "Dark Magician" then attacks and destroys the weakened "Blue-Eyes White Dragon".
  • In episode 14, Yami Yugi used this card during his duel with PaniK. Panik used the effect of "Reaper of the Cards to target this set card and destroy it as he assumed it was "Swords of Revealing Light", but it then turned out to be this card. Yugi then flipped this card and (due to the effect of "Reaper of the Cards") activates it, immobilizing "Reaper of the Cards" and decreasing its ATK by 700. In the next episode, "King of Yamimakai" attacks "Curse of Dragon", but the light from this card redirects the attack to "Reaper of the Cards" instead, destroying it.
    • In this episode, this card was capable of redirecting a monster's attack.
  • In episode 21, Yugi uses this card during his Tag Duel with Joey Wheeler against the Paradox Brothers. Yugi had hidden this card in one of the hat tokens that were still active. When "Suijin" attacks the entire maze, the hat that hid this card was attacked, allowing Yugi to activate this card. This immobilizes "Gate Guardian", decreases its ATK by 700, and prevents it from using its effects. This allows Yugi's "Summoned Skull" to attack and destroy "Suijin". Para then activates "Remove Trap" to destroy this card and free "Gate Guardian" from its effects.
  • In episode 29, Yugi sets this card during his Duel against Mai Valentine, but did not activate it. Yugi intended to activate this card when Mai used her "[Harpie Lady]]" to attack "Summoned Skull" (whose ATK was 1250 due to it being affected by "Mirror Wall") but he never got the chance to do this due to Mai activating "Harpie's Feather Duster" to destroy this card before Yugi could activate it.
  • In episode 34, Yugi uses this card during his Duel against Joey. Yugi sets this in one of the Hats (created by "Magical Hats") that were still on the field. "B. Skull Dragon" later attacks and destroys a hat, but this allows Yugi to activate this card which paralyzes "B. Skull Dragon" and decreases the ATK of "B. Skull Dragon" by 700. Yugi then releases his "Dark Magician" and equips it with "Book of Secret Arts" which increases its ATK and DEF by 300. "Dark Magician" then attacks and destroys "B. Skull Dragon".
  • In episode 35, this card is shown in Yami Yugi's hand during his Duel against Maximillion Pegasus. In the next episode, "Ryu-Ran" attacks "Summoned Skull", but Yugi activates this card to stop the attack and decrease the ATK of "Ryu-Ran" by 700. "Summoned Skull" then attacks "Ryu-Ran", but Pegasus activates "Trap Displacement" to switch the target of this card to "Summoned Skull", stopping its attack and decreasing its ATK by 700. "Ryu-Ran" then regains the ATK that this card took from it. "Ryu-Ran" then attacks and destroys "Summoned Skull".

Battle City

  • In episode 53, this card appears on a poster that Yugi and Téa read when they find a game store that was selling Duel Monster cards.
  • In episode 65, this card appears in Yami Yugi's hand during his Duel against Strings. In the next episode, "Slifer the Sky Dragon" attacks "Dark Magician Girl", but Yugi activates "Magic Cylinder" and this card to decrease the ATK of "Slifer" by 700, destroy "Slifer", and inflict its ATK as damage to Strings, but String uses the effect of "Jam Defender" to nullify the effect damage he would have taken and save "Slifer". On Strings' End Phase, this card is destroyed since card effects only affect Egyptian God Cards for one turn. "Slifer" then regains the ATK that this card took from it.
  • In episode 75, Yami Yugi uses this card during his Duel against Joey while the latter was possessed by Marik Ishtar. When Joey attacks "Kuriboh" with "Alligator's Sword", Yugi activates this card to immobilize "Alligator's Sword" and reduce the latter's ATK by 700. In the next episode, "Red-Eyes B. Dragon" attacks and destroys "Alligator's Sword". Since "Alligator's Sword" was removed from the field, this card was destroyed.
  • In episode 85, this card can be seen when Yugi is rebuilding his Deck.
  • In episode 97, two copies of this card appear in Kaiba's thoughts when he learns that most Trap Cards don't work on the Egyptian God Cards and that Spell Cards affect them for only one turn.

Virtual World

  • In episode 99, this card appears when Yami Yugi was building his Virtual World Deck before his Duel with Gansley. This card is one of the few shown cards that Yami Yugi selects.
  • In episode 103, this card appears in a flashback Téa has when she remembers Yugi talking about "Maha Vailo" looking similar to him and having a great power inside its effect.

Battle City Finals

  • In episode 129, this card is seen in a flashback Yugi has when he remembers the last time he used "Exchange" and how the latter card helped him save Joey from Marik's mind control.
  • In episode 132, Yugi sets this card during his Duel against Kaiba. In the next episode, one of Kaiba's "Blue-Eyes White Dragons" attacks "Red-Eyes B. Dragon", but Yugi activates this card to stop the attack and decrease the ATK of the said "Blue-Eyes White Dragon" by 700. "Red-Eyes B. Dragon" then attacks and destroys the weakened "Blue-Eyes White Dragon".
    • In the first above-mentioned episode, this card can be seen when Kaiba was thinking about Yugi's two set cards and how he was going to prevent Yugi from using them against his "Blue-Eyes White Dragon".
  • In episode 140, this card appears in a flashback that Yami Yugi has when he remembers his Duel with Strings as well as "Revival Jam" which caused a great amount of problems for him in that Duel.

Dawn of the Duel

Yu-Gi-Oh! GX

  • In episode 7, this card was shown in a flashback Syrus Truesdale had when he remembers Zane Truesdale scolding him on trying to use "Power Bond" recklessly. This card was set face-down by a bully who was dueling Syrus when he was younger, but he did not play it. Before Syrus could play "Power Bond", Zane called the duel off and gave a rare card to the bully to insure that he will not tell anyone about this duel and that he will stop bullying his brother. The bully noticed how rare and powerful the card Zane gave to him was and accepted Zane's offer. After the bully left Zane revealed to Syrus that the set card the bully had was this card. Zane explained to Syrus that if he had played "Power Bond", the bully would have activated this card to immobilize his Fusion Monster which would have caused him to take damage from the effect of "Power Bond" on the End Phase which would have caused Syrus to lose the duel.
  • In episode 75, this card appears in a flashback Tyranno Hassleberry when he sees the dock and states to his friends it's the same place where Yugi was forced to Duel Joey because of Marik possessing Joey.
