OCG Rulings
- Normal Summoning this card without Tributes from the hand does not start a Chain Link.[1]
- Normal Summoning this card without Tributes from the hand can only be performed in face-up. It cannot be Set.[1]
- Banishing 1 "Archfiend" card in your hand or Graveyard is a cost to activate the effect that destroys 1 card on the field.[1]
- When "Archfiend Emperor, the First Lord of Horror" is Normal Summoned without Tribute, the effects that halve its ATK and DEF and destroy it during the End Phase are applied. Afterwards, if the effect of "Skill Drain" is applied, the ATK and DEF return to the original values written in the card, but "Archfiend Emperor, the First Lord of Horror" is destroyed during the End Phase normally.[2]
