TCG Rulings

  • Whenever you special summon Grandmaster of the Six Samurai and his summon is negated by your opponent’s Solemn Judgment, the Grandmaster’s effect will activate because it is destroyed by the effect of your opponent’s Solemn Judgment. This is also true for Royal Oppression, even if the Royal Oppression happens to be sitting on your side of the field. Your opponent activates Royal Oppression’s effect, not you, so your Grandmaster is still considered to have been destroyed by your opponent’s card effect.
