- Removing from play 1 Reptile-Type monster in your Graveyard to Special Summon this card is a cost.
- This card’s effect to place 1 Hyper-Venom Counter on itself starts a chain when it inflicts Battle Damage to your opponent.
- When 3 Hyper-Venom Counters are placed on this card, its controller wins the Duel as part of the resolution of the effect.
- This card is not affected by the effects of any other Monsters, Spells or Traps, even effects that do not target.
- If "Skill Drain" is already active on the field when Vennominaga is Special Summoned, the effect of Vennominaga is negated.
- This card can be Tributed normally for a Tribute Summon, or for the cost of another card. It cannot be Tributed as part of the resolution of a card's effect, like "Ectoplasmer".
- You can Tribute your opponent's Vennominaga to Summon "Lava Golem".
- If this card is destroyed by battle with "Dark Ruler Ha Des", "Dark Ruler Ha Des'" effect negates this card's effect in the Graveyard, and it cannot be Special Summoned.
- Please note the spelling of this card’s name. It is not a "Venom" monster.
- Your Vennominaga is unaffected by your opponent's "Share the Pain", since that part is an effect. (Source: UDE Judges' List)
Mentions in Other Rulings
- Cloudian - Poison Cloud: “Cloudian - Poison Cloud's” effect will only inflict 800 damage if its effect successfully destroys the monster that destroyed it in battle. For example, “Vennominaga the Deity of Poisonous Snakes” is unaffected by other Monster Effects and thus could not be destroyed, so “Cloudian - Poison Cloud” would not inflict damage in this case.
- Rise of the Snake Deity: You cannot activate this card if you do not have "Vennominaga the Deity of Poisonous Snakes" in your hand or Deck.
- Yubel - The Ultimate Nightmare: When "Yubel - The Ultimate Nightmare" battles with a monster that cannot be destroyed by its effect, like "Vennominaga the Deity of Poisonous Snakes", "Yubel - The Ultimate Nightmare's" effect still inflicts damage but will not destroy the monster.
OCG Rulings
- This card cannot be destroyed by "Smashing Ground". Also, "Smashing Ground" will NOT move on and destroy the montser with the second highest DEF; "Smashing Ground" will resolve without effect.
- "Solemn Judgment" can negate "Rise of the Snake Deity", but it cannot negate the Special Summon of this card.
- "Angel O7" and "The End of Anubis" prevent this card from Special Summoning itself from the Graveyard.
- vs. "Skill Drain": If "Skill Drain" is activated before this card is Special Summoned, then this card's effects are negated. If "Skill Drain" is activated after this card is Special Summoned, then this card is unaffected by "Skill Drain".
- The opponent can use "Dimension Wall" when this card attacks, since "Dimension Wall" affects the Battle Damage, not the monster. The same applies to "Amazoness Swords Woman", etc.
- If this card is being negated with "Skill Drain" and is equipped with "Reborn Ribbon", you cannot use the effect of "Reborn Ribbon" to Special Summon it. If you want to revive it, you must use the Vennominaga.
- "Necrovalley" prevents this card from Special Summoning itself, since you cannot remove from play a Reptile-Type monster from your Graveyard.
- When this card is sent to the Graveyard, it loses all Hyper-Venom Counters on it, even if it Special Summons itself back.
- This card cannot be Special Summoned except by the method described on the card.
