"Brionac, Dragon of the Ice Barrier":

This is the Cover Card for the TCG collection Hidden Arsenal.
- This card is the first Sea Serpent-Type monster to be a Cover Card on a Booster Pack.
  - Furthermore, it's the second Sea Serpent to be a Cover Card of any set, the first being "Ocean Dragon Lord - Neo-Daedalus".

"Brionac" is the name of a magic, living spear said to be owned by Lugh, a deity in Irish mythology.
- The spear called Brionac is also found on some of Konami's Castlevania games.

This card is currently the only "Dragon of the Ice Barrier" card that is not Dragon-Type itself. Unlike "Trishula, Dragon of the Ice Barrier" and "Gungnir, Dragon of the Ice Barrier", "Brionac" is a Sea Serpent-Type monster.

This card and "Goyo Guardian" were the first Synchro Monsters to become Limited, with this card also being the first and only limited Sea Serpent-Type monster at the time.
- As of September 2012 Lists, this card is the only Forbidden Sea Serpent-Type monster.

This was the fourth Synchro monster to be Forbidden, following "Dark Strike Fighter", "Goyo Guardian" and "Trishula, Dragon of the Ice Barrier".
- It is the second "Ice Barrier" monster to be Forbidden, after "Trishula". Coincidentally, they are both Synchro monsters.
  - "Brionac" is also the third "Ice Barrier" monster to appear on the Forbidden/Limited list, as "Dewloren, Tiger King of the Ice Barrier" is Semi-Limited.

This card has a corrupted "Evilswarm" counterpart, "Evilswarm Bahamut".
Following the trend of the "Evilswarm" archetype, "Bahamut" has 50 more ATK and 50 less DEF than "Brionac".
