In my opion the new update on names for the Machine Emperors were a horrible decision. First it was Machine Emperors which I thought was an awsome name for cards. It showed how the Machine Emperors could be the rulers of all machine type monsters in Yu gi oh. Later, it seems that the awsomely genuine name has seemed to land on Meklords. What was that? Meklords don't even seem cool anymore. Yet, the "Meklord Emperor" monsters don't even have the word infinity at the end of their names. And the worst of all, Machinicle had a bad name change too. First, it was "Machine Divine Emperor Machinecle Infinity Cubic". It seemed long, but I liked it. Then it was changed to "Machine Divine Emperor Machinecle Infinity." Getting better. Then it was changed to the best name ever thought of. "Machine Imperial God Machinicle Infinity." That was the best name for that good of a monster card and it couldn't be better, but then it could be worse... and it is! This monster was changed from the perfect name to, "Meklord Astro Mekanikle." Now the name doesn't sound like Machinicle rules anything now. I don't know where the name, "Astro" came from because I never heard of a such ruler class. There is an even more strange twist with the Meklords. In the english version of yu gi oh 5D'S when [[Lester]] summoned [[Machine Emperor Skiel Infinity]], he actually said it in english. He didn't say Meklord in any of his sentences. So now, name changing in Yu gi oh has been changed to the wrong thing at the wrong time. The only thing I can do now is pronounce the names Machine Emperors when I play them instead of what it really says.

Image Issue

I am sure Grannel is now showing along with previous two, but why not color instead of being in shadow like the current one in that page? --FredCat His litterFR 16:19, August 14, 2010 (UTC)

I'm confused as to what mahcine emperor is in the center of the second row of pictures, can anyone inform me as to what that is please?

Leader of Ylaster guess

I have a guess as to who the leader of Ylaster is. Cherry LeBlanc, or however you spell her name. She entered the time warp and met Zone. Zone told her that he will tell her the whole truth, but her destiny would be drastically changed. What would be a more drastic change from being a sworn enemy of Ylaster and an aid to the Signers? Also, her dad died working for/investigating the Momentum Express, if I remember correctly. With the M.E. erased from history, the dad should live, but may still work for Ylaster. Dad being in Ylaster might let the daughter in for free, and she would adopt their ways and ideals.

Machinicle Problem

Hey guys, there's a problem that's come up with the official release of Machinicle and the Soldiers: the naming scheme runs into problems because of its summoning condition. In Japanese, the Kikoushin requires three Kikou monsters, which includes the Kikoutei (Machine Emperors), the Kikoushin (Machinicle himself) and the Kikouhei (Machine Soldier). I noticed that right now the wikia just uses "Machine Emperor and Machine Imperial," but one thing I noticed is that shriek (who translates a lot of Japanese cards) started translating the term as "Mechanized," to save on space. Just something I thought'd II'd bring up. BuzzSawBill (talkcontribs) 16:02, January 5, 2011 (UTC)

  • Lynx... not Shriek. There are 3 people making contributing edits to that blog AND THEY DO STATE WHO MAKES THE EDITS. In fact, Lynx's himself is hte only one who puts special notes and states he's the one putting them. That said, it doesn't matter if Lynx or anyone else uses "Mechanized" or not because 4Kids (and thus what will be KDE) already used Machine Emperors in the dub and that will be the name we will be stuck with as it's already been presented to marketing, not "Mechanized" Wisel Infinity, etc. The official name is Machine Emperor and whatever will be for the other 3 will be. Period. It will probably be a 3 name split like we already have it. Machine Emperor, Machine Imperial and Machine Overlord (Divine Emperor). why they use them

Because they were some of the only cards left most of the others haad been destroyed

Yea, and Aporia have changed as well. He no longer feeling the Despair that he used to had before. --FredCat Ta.P.F.P.J.R.W.S.Th.P.S.C. 02:11, January 11, 2011 (UTC)

Early ideas for Skiel and Grannel

interestingly ive looked back on my screenshots and found a pic with Skiel and Grannel covered up.:http://i433.photobucket.com/albums/qq55/kingyusei/Tenor%20Trio/vlcsnap-2009-10-06-16h23m25s194.png Skiel was originally going to be red(as apposed to blue), and Grannel was going to be Yellow (as opposed to Orange), plus rather than their bodies being different colors, their eyes and Inifinty symbol were. --RexGodwin (talkcontribs) 21:10, February 6, 2011 (UTC)

Hey who changed the name? --Blue-Eyes Starlight Dragon (talkcontribs) 05:10, February 15, 2011 (UTC)

The official TCG names were announced. See here. Cheesedude (talkcontribs) 05:14, February 15, 2011 (UTC)
@Rex Godwin; That's what they original planned from start, but decided to change to different colors current. Red was removed because Jack already using that color as Burn Soul, and Grannel is still yellow current, or is that just his armor made you color-blind and considered his light color being orange. --FredCat 20:33, February 16, 2011 (UTC)

Reforming

As the TCG info come out, we had official terms for the whole archetype. I suggest to rewrite and divide the archetype to 4 pages:
  • Kikō = Meklord. "Meklord" is the biggest archetype page, it should lists all cards that have "Kikō" in their name. Play style, decks, weakness of the whole archetype, should be listed here as well.
  • Kikōtei = Meklord Emperor is the first sub-archetype for "Meklord". It should contain the info about 3 "Emperor" cards. Most of the content in the "Meklord" page currently should be moved to "Meklord Emperor" page (including their appearance, the 3 smaller group: "Skiel", "Wisel", "Grannel".)
  • Kikōhei = Meklord Army is the second sub-archetype for "Meklord". It should contain the info about 3 "Soldier" cards only.
  • Kikōshin = Meklord Astro is the third sub-archetype for "Meklord". It lists the 2 ace monsters used by Aporia.

Thoughts? Blackwings0605 (talk) 07:03, February 15, 2011 (UTC)

I had brought this up at Forum:Meklords. This looks to be the best way to categorize them. I wasn't sure if it was possible based on the translations, but apparently it is. Cheesedude (talkcontribs) 15:01, February 15, 2011 (UTC)
I don't know about U guys, but "Meklord" doesn't even sound rite and "Mek" isn't a word so far. I don't know where TCG got that name from. Anyway, They did the same with "Tech Genus" and called it "T.G." to make it short and doesn't change the meaning--Wasn't 20:24, February 16, 2011 (UTC)
I've moved the pages, and created a separate one for "Meklord Emperors". Someone more familiar with writing archetype articles should fill in the rest. Not my specialty. Cheesedude (talkcontribs) 20:33, February 18, 2011 (UTC)

These are Machine Imperials, not simply Machines

I don't know why it says the Meklords are known as "Machine" monsters, when the second kanji means "emperor." If all the monsters besides the Machine Emperors are referred to as Machine Imperial (blank), why not refer to them as Machine Imperials? QuartrGuy (talkcontribs) 03:38, February 22, 2011 (UTC)

The only word that entire "Meklord" archetype has in common in the OCG names is "Machine". "Machine Emperors", "Machine Imperial Gods" and "Machine Imperial Soldiers". Imperial =/= Emperor, so Machine is the only common word. Cheesedude (talkcontribs) 03:43, February 22, 2011 (UTC)
