Yu-Gi-Oh! 5D's[edit]

  • In episode 30, Crow Hogan uses this card during his Turbo Duel against a Sector Security officer. He Special Summons this card from his hand via its own effect as the officer had monsters on his side of the field but Crow had none. After Crow activates "Delta Crow - Anti Reverse" from his hand to destroy the officer's set cards,. Next, Crow activates this card's effect to increase the ATK of "Bora the Spear" by the ATK of every "Blackwing" monster on the field besides itself until the End Phase. This card remained on the field until the Duel was over.
    • When this card's effect was explained in both versions, the effect was to Special Summon it while it should've been: You can Normal Summon Blackwing - Sirocco the Dawn when your opponent has monsters on their field and you have no monsters on your field. After this duel, "Blackwing - Sirocco the Dawn" continued to use the TCG/OCG effect.
  • In episode 44, Crow uses this card during his Ground Duel against Lazar. He Normal Summons this card without Tribute as Lazar controlled monsters and Crow had none. On Crow's End Phase, the effect of "Jester Confit" activates, returning it and this card to their owners' hands. Later Crow sends this card from his hand to the Graveyard in order to activate "Fake Feather".
    • This card also appears in a flashback Lazar has when he notes that if Crow had "Fake Feather" in his hand at the start of the turn, he wouldn't have Summoned this card, which would mean the first card Crow set is not "Fake Feather".
    • This card also appears in a flashback Lazar has when he realizes that Crow pretended to dance into his hands in order to trick him.
  • In episode 94, Crow uses this card during his Turbo Duel against Bolton. He Normal Summons this card without Tribute via its own effect as Bolton controlled monsters and Crow had none. Crow then Special Summons "Blackwing - Bora the Spear" via its own effect. Crow then activates this card's effect to increase the ATK of "Bora the Spear" by the ATK of every Blackwing monster besides itself until the End Phase, but Bolton activates "Whiteout", which negates the effects of any monster Crow controls if it targets a card in Crow's hand, Graveyard, or field. After "White Warrior - Hail the Iron Hammer" attacks and destroys "Bora the Spear", Bolton activates the effect of "Hail the Iron Hammer" to destroy this card.
    • This card is also shown in a flashback Crow has when he explains to Yusei his backstory with Bolton, himself, and Robert Pearson. Pearson was shown using this card in his Tag Duel with Bolton against two unknown people. This card was on the field, but it was removed from the field through unknown means at an unspecified point as the flashback then showed Pearson Summoning forth "Black-Winged Dragon".
  • In episode 104, Crow uses this card during his Turbo Duel against Hermann. He Normal Summons this card without Tribute via its own effect as Hermann controlled monsters and Crow had none. This card then attacks "Hook the Hidden Knight", but Hermann activates the effect of "Hook the Hidden Knight" to switch both battling monsters to Defense Position. This activates the second effect of "Hook the Hidden Knight", inflicting 800 damage to Crow. Right after that, Crow lost control. A shadow phantom of "Hook the Hidden Knight" then tried to grab Crow's Duel Runner wheel, but he pulls his Duel Runner up to avoid it at the last second. All of Team 5D's and Breo noticed this and they knew something was up. In the next episode, "Hook the Hidden Knight" attacks and destroys this card. The shadow phantom then tries to grab Crow's wheel, but he dodges it again as he is starting to become aware of what Team Catastrophe is trying to do. Later Crow activates "Blackback" to revive this card. After "Gale the Whirlwind" attacks "Hook the Hidden Knight" (whose ATK and DEF were halved due to the effect of "Gale the Whirlwind") and the latter's effect switches both battling monsters to Defense Position, this card attacks "Hook the Hidden Knight", but Hermann Tributes "Dark the Hidden Knight" to switch "Hook the Hidden Knight" to Attack Position. Hermann then activates the effect of "Hook the Hidden Knight" to switch both battling monsters to Defense Position. The second effect of "Hook the Hidden Knight" then inflicts 800 damage to Crow. The shadow phantom once again tries to grab Crow's wheel, but he uses the flight mode of his Duel Runner to avoid the hook. Crow then sends "Blackwing - Etesian of Two Swords" from his hand to the Graveyard via its own effect in order to inflict damage to Hermann equal to the ATK of this card. Crow then activates "Urgent Tuning" to allow himself to Synchro Summon one Synchro Monster during the Battle Phase. After Hermann activates "Shadow Concealing Darkness", Crow tunes this card with "Gale the Whirlwind" in order to Synchro Summon "Black-Winged Dragon".
  • In episode 114, Crow uses this card during his Ground Duel against Lazar. He Normal Summons this card without Tribute as Lazar had monsters on his field, but Crow had none. The ATK of "Jester Lord" then decreases from 4000 to 0 as it was no longer the only monster on the field. Lazar then activates "Imperial Register" to increase the ATK of "Jester Lord" by the ATK change. Crow then Special Summons "Blackwing - Gale the Whirlwind" via its own effect. Lazar then activates "Discord" to prevent Synchro Summons for the next three turns. Crow then activates the effect of "Gale the Whirlwind" to halve the ATK and DEF of "Jester Lord". Crow then activates this card's effect to increase the ATK of "Gale the Whirlwind" by the ATK of all other Blackwings he controls until the End Phase, but Lazar activates "Tuning Barrier" to prevent Crow from attacking while he has a Tuner Monster on his field and/or in his Graveyard. Crow then banishes both this card and "Gale the Whirlwind" in order to Special Summon "Blackwing - Aurora the Northern Lights".
  • In episode 126, Crow uses this card during his Turbo Duel against Broder. He Normal Summons this card without Tribute as Broder had monsters on his field, but Crow had none. After "Blackwing Armor Master" attacks and destroys "Thor, Lord of the Aesir" (whose ATK and DEF were halved due to the effect of "Gale the Whirlwind", this card attacks directly. Broder then activates "The Golden Apples" to increase his Life Points by the Battle Damage he took this turn and Special Summon a "Malus Token" that has ATK and DEF equal to the amount of Life Points Broder just gained. Later the "Malus Token" attacks and destroys this card. After "Thor" attacks and destroys "Blackwing Armor Master" (whose effects were negated by the effect of "Thor"), Crow Special Summons "Blackwing - Brisote the Tailwind" via its own effect (as two Blackwings were destroyed in the same turn).
  • Its attack name in the anime is Dark Wing Slash.
