- In episode 82, Yami Bakura used this card during his Duel with Yami Yugi. He activates this card when "Dark Necrofear" was destroyed by "Dark Magician Girl". In the next episode, "Gamma the Magnet Warrior" attacks directly, but since "Gamma" was possessed by the "Evil Ghost of Dark Sanctuary", the attack was negated and Yami Yugi took damage equal to half of "Gamma's" ATK while Yami Bakura gained Life Points equal to the damage Yami Yugi took. Yami Bakura later used this card to gain the automatic win condition of "Destiny Board" while being able to play other Spell or Trap cards due to this card's effect. He then tributes "Earthbound Spirit" to keep this card active. "Dark Magician Girl" then attacks directly, but since "Dark Magician Girl" was possessed by the Ghost of Dark Sanctuary, the attack was negated and Yami Yugi took damage equal to half of "Dark Magician Girl's" ATK while Yami Bakura gained Life Points equal to the damage Yami Yugi took. Yami Bakura then Tributes "Sangan" to keep this card active. Yugi took some careful deducing and uses "Gamma" to attack directly. He was correct on his deduction, but Yami Bakura activates "Dark Spirit of the Silent" to negate the attack and make "Dark Magician Girl" attack directly instead. Since "Dark Magician Girl" was possessed by the Ghost of Dark Sanctuary, the attack was negated and Yami Yugi took damage equal to half of "Dark Magician Girl's" ATK while Yami Bakura gained Life Points equal to the damage Yami Yugi took. Yami Bakura then Tributes "Souls of the Forgotten" to keep this card active. Later Yugi activates "Collected Power" to force the Ghost of Dark Sanctuary to equip onto "Kuriboh". Yugi then activates "Exile of the Wicked" which destroys "Kuriboh" and the Ghost of Dark Sanctuary. Yugi then activates "Monster Reborn" to revie "Dark Necrofear", which negates this card's effects. In the following episode, Yami Bakura activates the effect of "Jowgen the Spiritualist" to destroy "Dark Necrofear", which reactivates this card's effects. Yami Bakura then Tributes "Jowgen" to keep this card active. Yami Yugi then summons "Slifer the Sky Dragon". Yami Bakura then tries to have the Ghost of Dark Sanctuary to possess this card, but it doesn't work as the Egyptian Gods can't be affected by card effects. This card remained on the field until the Duel was over.
- In episode 122, this card is shown in a flashback that Kaiba has when he states that now is the time to decide who the true winner of Battle City is.
- In episode 123, this card is shown in a flashback that Ishizu has when she remembers first putting on the Millennium Necklace and seeing events that will happen in the future.
- In episode 144, this card appears in a flashback Téa has when she remembers the gang seeing the God cards for the first time aboard the Battle Ship.
- The evil spirit, that inhabits Dark Sanctuary made a brief cameo appearance in the beginning of Yu-Gi-Oh! The Movie: Pyramid of Light, alongside with Dark Spirit of the Silent and The Gross Ghost of Fled Dreams.

- In episode 85, this card appears in a flashback Jaden Yuki has when he makes note of the three Egyptian God Cards and their power with Franz.
